Nicole and Cian-Se stare at each other, neither woman backing down from the challenge that they silently issue to each other. It’s the echidna woman who finally blinks between the two, which she follows by sliding into her desk and typing something up. “I have a long trip ahead of me, fellows. The other members of the Brain Trust mumble and head out, with Tails and Rotor approaching Nicole and Splats.
“So,” Rotor says, looking down to the reformed badnik. “Guess since you’re here, we can see how you are out and about town.”

“Sure!” Rotor says. “I’m friends with a few reformed badniks. Its not that strange at all. Right, Tails?”

Splats looks to Nicole, but she smiles and nods. “The best way to prove that my system works is to behave in all ways like a normal, living Mobian.”
Splats waves Nicole bye, leaving her alone with Cian-Se. The Echidna peeks her head up and adjusts her glasses. “Well, then, I suppose that leaves just you and me here.”
“Indeed,” says Nicole. “I was hoping to persuade you against your harsh judgment against my work.”
“Your work,” Cian-Se says, sliding from her seat and walking around the table, “needs to be properly tested.
“I’m willing to go through any test you see fit to put me through.”
“Is that so…?” the echidna says. “Then, you wouldn’t mind if I put you to the test… personally.”
“Ah,  yes, I think I see what you mean,” the lynx responds, her hands moving up to the straps fo her dress. With a simple flick, it falls off over her shoulders, leaving her totally nude before the echidna.
“Not even an ounce of shame, computer?” the echidna says, stepping up right in front of her. “That’s something I would expect from an artificial intelligence.”

“You have an excellent eye, doctor,” Nicole says. “To notice the mutation in the genetic sequence.”

“Very well…” Nicole’s ears twitch and she closes her eyes. The lynx then takes a few steps forward, hips swaying as the water of the stream gently trickles down by them.
