Chapter 4
>We came to the Capital to see General Ricardo Frantz
>Caleen sneaked into the city and summoned her kindred to kill and destroy everything as ordered by Givelz(?)
>Eve beat her ass and wants her to explain about her powers since she herself doesn't know anything
>Stupid soldiers arrested everyone because they saw Eve using the same technique as Caleen and thought we were working together
>Masked Man freed us after hearing Yrian is willing to do anything to stop the war, he also cares about keeping Tika safe
>He's freeing Caleen too, he wants her to be our guide to the Bashen Domain
>He put a collar with a bomb on her neck to make sure she doesn't betray us
>The collar will explode if it detects the user is using symbology
>He still doesn't want to give his name to Yrian, but says the day he does will come soon
>Caleen agreed to take us there, she doesn't want to die
>Chapter ends as we depart towards Bashen

Chapter 5
>the party is heading to Bashen through one of many secret routes
>they are considered fugitives and Caleen's allies because they all escaped together
>Caleen keeps making fun of Welch
>attacked by some wild animals because Welch couldn't shut the fuck up
>the party arrived at Corline village
>everyone in the village is glad Caleen is safe, to them she's a hero
>they decide to spend the night there, a carriage is going to take them to Bashen later
>they discuss their current situation while they wait for Yrian and Welch to come back
>Welch for some unknown reason is pissed and goes to sleep
>the next day Caleen orders them to train a bit to be prepare themselves in case they are attacked by the army
>Caleen keeps making the training harder
>she wants Welch to fight 1vs30
>Caleen offered to help Welch with a personal wish of hers but Welch doesn't want to submit to her
>Welch accepts the challenge but wants to fight Caleen 1vs1 instead, claiming her kindred are too weak
>Caleen agrees to take her on but they're suddenly interrupted
>the village is being attacked by an army of 2000 soldiers from Rublica, their target is Yrian
>the villagers are being mercilessly massacred and the village is being destroyed
>Yrian tries to talk some sense into Welch, telling her they need to run right now but she's in shock because she can't believe her own country is doing this
>he hands over Welch to Eve and Tika, while him, kancho and Verda fight to secure their escape route
>during his travels Yrian has seen worse shit than this so he resolved to fight even his own people to make his dream come true
>Caleen tells her followers to help evacuate what's left of the village, she needs to leave already

>On the road, Caleen tells the party about what happened to Welch earlier, she wanted to stop the war without sacrifices and Caleen proposed an idea to make that come true
>she recognized how good Welch is at inventing stuff and wanted her, with the help of Bashen's knowledge, to make a deadly weapon to threaten everyone and achieve peace that way, through fear
>Welch refused to join her side, but Caleen thinks that might change now that she saw with her own eyes what her own people did
>they arrived at Bashen, Eve wants to talk with General Givell to learn more about Caleen's powers
>they see the king first, he's glad Caleen is fine
>Givell seemed to recognize Tika, but said it can't be her
>He looked at Eve and became incredibly anxious, he asked Eve to state her name
>Eve all sassy told him to not yell at her, that's not how you ask a girl her name
>once he heard her name he couldn't stop smiling, he can't believe Evelysse is standing before him
>he considers himself extremely blessed, he thought it would take 50.000 years for her to appear
>he believes he was born for this very moment, to meet Evelysse
>Eve thinks he's creepy as hell

>the party wakes up on a different planet
>everyone but Coro and Welch are there
>Tika is not sure, but she thinks she has seen this scenery before
>there is a lot of noise coming from somewhere nearby
>it's Welch, she's being pursued by a werewolf so they fight him
>more are coming, Caleen is unable to control them, she's powerless
>Welch mocks Caleen for being useless when she's needed the most
>the party is saved by robot girl
>she tells them they are on Daftes, the twin planet of planet Daftine
>Tika is now sure she has been here before

Chapter 6
>we arrive at Valka's ship, we'll be safe here for the time being
>she explains again we are on Daftes, the twin planet of Daftine
>Yrian and Welch learn we came from another planet
>Yrian understands we didn't tell them earlier because it would have been hard to believe, not out of malice
>rather than being shocked, Welch is super excited and wants to inspect the ship and Valka's body thoroughly
>she starts touching buttons all over the place while a flustered Valka begs her to stop
>Yrian hits Welch
>Evelysse will tell Welch anything she wants to know later, but right now we need to talk to Valka about what's going on
>Caleen leaves the room to get some fresh air, what happened earlier and Welch being annoying is making her head hurt
>Tika feels bad for Caleen since she's all alone now and goes after her
>the captain stops Recoro from going too, he wants them to have some time alive
>Recoro is worried but Valka says it's fine, she doesn't detect any lifeforms nearby and it's unlikely Caleen will attack Tika but just in case they will keep an eye on the situation outside
>Valka makes it clear she and En II (her home planet) have been monitoring Daftine but they have no intention of doing any harm
>originally she was supposed to be stationed on Satellite Mastima, Daftine's moon, but something happened on her way there
>Caleen is thinking about how Guivell tried to kill her the moment she stopped being needed
>Tika came to see her, she was worried
>Caleen was annoyed at first but doesn't mind it anymore, Tika reminds her of the kids from Bashen
>Tika tells her she isn't from this era, she's from Daftine in the future so she doesn't know why Ricardo Franz is looking for her

>it's like a ghost ship, Verda thinks no way but Valka doesn't think it's impossible

>Yrian was listening from the other room and came back to get the topic back on track
>he says we'll have to deal with it once we encounter it, no point in wasting time pondering about it right now
>He thinks of space travel as if planets were islands and space is the ocean
>following that logic there is nothing for us here in Daftes, thus we need to find a ship to sail to the next island first, we can think about the ghost fleet later
>since Valka was unable to repair the ship in the year she spent here, he ask the captain and Valka if they are capable of calling a ship to come here
>our ship is on Daftine, the distance isn't so big but we can't contact Coro
>Valka's ship is too damaged, only life support and sensors are working
>she's on the verge of tears, she wasn't able to send a rescue signal for the past year and was about to give up
>she was very lonely, she thought nobody was going to find her, that she was going to have to live in this planet all alone
>she starts crying from happiness

>Tika says in her era the people from Bashen are known as the Foxtail, she only learned about that recently and isn't sure if they are Caleen's people, but she can tell her at least Rublica and Bashen are in peace
>Caleen tells her the people from Bashen who had powers like her were stronger than normal people so they were recruited as soldiers and were never able to go back home
>that was normal for them until Guivell came, afterwards only the strongest one would be recruited and given the title of "Witch of the Beasts", while everyone else was left alone
>she doesn't forgive him for what he did to her, but at least he brought peace to the rest of her kind
>Caleen was flustered when Tika called her Caleen-oneechan, it's been a while since she was called that
>she had a little sister who died during the great war when her village was burned
>that's why Caleen was eager to accept Guivell's offer and work for him, to defeat Rublica and protect everyone else
>her loyalty to him was genuine which makes what he did to her earlier so painful
>Valka regained her composure, this was her first mission so something like this happening to her was very hard
>she hugs the captain to make sure she isn't dreaming

>she has an idea of where a large distance transmitter could be

>alone she wasn't able to get far but if we all work together it's possible
>it's very strange there was an ancient civilization here since the people from Tika's era didn't know about it

>Welch is back to her usual happy self despite what happened in Caleen's village, she can't be feeling down forever now that she knows there are countless worlds to explore and learn about
>Yrian is worried about Caleen, he doesn't think she's a threat to us but wonders how she'll deal with being betrayed by Guivell

>we're on our way to the city
>Welch ask Tika if her Arms are working well, she couldn't do much for them with what they had on Valka's ship
>Valka admits Welch's intellect is amazing while Recoro the tsundere onigiri has trouble admitting it
>Caleen runs behind Welch, a pack of wolf monsters show up but Valka's sensors didn't pick anything
>only Caleen noticed it earlier because of their smell
>Valka apologizes to Caleen, she was careless
>Caleen is lost in thought, she tried to activate her powers but they still aren't working
>Evelysse wants to ask Caleen something, she says if she wants to know why these monsters look like her summons, she has no idea but now that she knows about space travel, it's possible she was summoning beasts from here all along
>Welch ask her if she can control them then
>obviously, unless she summons them she can't control them
>Welch is pissed at her, if they are attacked she's going to use Caleen as a shield, and Caleen is going to abandon her if she needs help
>Tika thanks Caleen, it was thanks to her no one got hurt, and Caleen tells her it's better for her if everyone is alive, higher chances of survival

>we arrive at the city, it's bigger than Rublica's capital
>according to Valka's research the city is called "Onelsen" and somewhere inside there is a huge amount of energy
>Caleen can tell the place is full of those wolves
>Welch wonders why Valka didn't just snipe the wolves with her lasers from a building, to which Caleen tells her if she had tried that they would surround her in no time and she would have no place no escape
>it's as Caleen said, and although she's still very powerful, the wolves are scary
>she has a body that looks like a robot, but she can still feel pain like anyone else and doesn't want to get bitten, and their howl makes her legs tremble, plus at night their eyes glow, it's so scary she can't sleep well
>Welch is sorry for bringing it up
>so insensitive, Caleen says
>Welch is pissed
>it's not like it's not scary now but being with other people gives her the courage to fight them

>Verda guess this place must had have a population of 1 million or so
>where did they go and what happened to them? It's a complete mystery

>we made it to the place where energy was detected, unlike every other building this one looks like it has been well taken cared of, there is definitely someone inside
>Recoro and Valka are detecting a signal, Valka was able to get the master key code to disable all weapons in the facility
>Recoro wonders why something so important would be so easy to get
>they open the door and inside it's all pitch black, no choice but to go in
>Caleen is the only one who can see well in the dark, and by using sound she can more or less get the layout of the place, would be easier if a certain someone would stop being so noisy
>Caleen thinks back about what happened earlier when they were attacked, she was able to "see" something before Recoro and Valka were able to, and later Recoro and Valka were able to "see" the signal coming from the building, something Caleen couldn't see
>everyone has their strengths and like it or not, it's Caleen's turn to lead the group
>the captain must be right behind her, she'll feel safer with his scared face staring at her so close
>she'll go first so nobody thinks she's leading them into a trap
>Tika was supposed to stay in the middle with Evelysse and Verda but she wanted to be at the front with Caleen, after all the hallway is dangerous
>Caleen tells Verda to bring her back to the middle
>Welch understands what Tika was trying to do, but she's still pissed

>we arrive at a different door from the rest, the energy signal is coming from here
>Valka analyzed the door and learned there is something behind
>Caleen tells everyone to be on their guard, she heard something huge is coming
>it's a huge guardian robot
>the lights are suddenly on blinding everyone, the robot attacked Welch because she screamed
>Caleen pushed her out of the way and took the hit for her
>we beat the robot, he sent a signal before dying and the door opened
>Caleen can hear footsteps, someone is coming
>it's a black haired man
>Valka is cautious and tells him to stop and declare his intentions
>he understands they are wary of him, but he needs to ask us something: to let him say goodbye to "him"
>by "him" he meant the guardian robot

>the man is sorry he had to put him on such horrible task, existing just to be eventually destroyed, and begs him for forgiveness

>he introduced himself as Henry, the director of the "Ark" project from the human preservation institute
>he's been waiting all this time for someone to come save him and his people
>saving from what? From a disease that threatens all planets and people
>there was nothing he could do, so once society couldn't sustain itself anymore he took the few remaining humans and secluded themselves, hoping for someone to discover the Ark, defeat the guardian and rescue them
>the disease he spoke of is a disease that turns people into beasts, the "animalization disease", and everyone in this facility is infected
>he turns into a werewolf to show us first hand what it looks like
>the wolf-like creatures Caleen has been summoning all along were the people from this planet, she's shocked
>Henry assured us he's not a threat, he's one of the few who managed to control this illness
>however tens of thousands, millions of people couldn't and turned into mindless monsters
>it's been 30.000 years since the collapse of his civilization
>Valka confirms it, this is the Lycantrope Virus, or perhaps something similar to that
>Henry guided us deep into the building to show us where the rest of his people are
>barely 8000 humans remain, they're all in cold sleep
>Evelysse thinks Tika could be related to this but Valka tells her she isn't
>Tika's DNA, same as Welch and Yrian, points to her being from Daftine and not Daftes, Henry belongs to a different strand of humanity
>Tika is sad she and the people of her time didn't know about them, if they knew they would had helped them
>Henry is happy to hear that, he feels like he can die in peace now that the existence of his people is known
>Verda is against him dying, he wants to save him and his people
>we can use this facility to send a signal to contact Coro

>Coro is happy to see his dear KANCHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO again, he'll come to get us in 10 minutes
>normally Evelysse would scold him for being so noisy but this time it's okay
>Valka warns Coro there might be an invisible enemy nearby, but Coro hasn't detected anything, besides he's just going to directly warp here
>we can now go back to Daftine
>the captain tells Henry to come with us, we'll contact the federation so they can come and take care of his people
>Valka is nervous, she wanted to ask us if she can come along too
>Evelysse noticed it and asked her to come with us, everyone is glad to have her aboard
>Coro is here with our ship, he KANCHOOOOOO so loud the entire planet must have heard him
>Yrian thinks he looks like Recoro, to which Coro says he is the original, Recoro is the one who looks like him
>Caleen wonders if it is okay for her to come too
>Welch tells her to not be stupid, if she stays here all alone she's only going to be a bother to Henry's people
>she grabs Caleen by the hand, rather than staying here she should come with us, find Guivell and beat him up
>she doesn't know much about her powers, and she might have done something unforgivable to Henry's people, but she's going to travel with us to find out the truth
>Welch and Caleen are finally in good terms with each other and they call each other by their name

Chapter 7
>On the ship's medical bay Verda is making sure everyone is okay
>The Captain gets depressed when Coro says having a reliable mature adult like Henry around puts everyone at ease
>Coro called Yrian and Caleen and introduced himself
>Coro being Coro tries to be funny and Caleen threatens to step on him if he called her to make fun of her
>He has urgent news for them, Bashen's army is marching towards Rublica's capital
>Caleen says mobilizing an army of that size would had taken months of planning but she never heard of a plan like that
>Welch teases her asking if she's not keeping anything from us, Caleen says she isn't
>Coro theorized Bashen's emperor could have been forcefully teleported just like us and now someone is taking advantage of the confusion
>Though Valka didn't detect anyone else in a 50km radius from where we appeared on Daftes
>Bashen's army is full of those beast Caleen used to control so she wants to do something to stop them, after all they are Daftes' citizens
>She might be a soldier but she hasn't fallen so low as to involve innocent people like them

>Flashback about Caleen's past
>Her village was attacked by Rublica because there was a possibility the Holy Land of Ajeel might resurface nearby
>Guivell came to Bashen and under the promise of making Bashen's army stronger to get revenge on Rublica, Caleen became one of his soldiers, however she never stopped to think where the beasts came from
>Verda is curious about what she said about the Holy Land of Ajeel, it's an island that moves under the sea which is somehow connected to the "Moonlight Ladder"
>Henry explains in simpler terms, the ladder is like a big shadow cast on the surface that connects Daftine and Satellite Mastima, it doesn't always happen in the same place but it's possible to narrow where it's going to happen depending on if it happens during a Lunar or Solar Eclipse, so wherever Rublica and Bashen think the Moonlight Ladder will appear becomes a battlefield
>Verda wonders if Ajeel coming out of the sea during an eclipse is a natural thing to happen
>Welch has no idea, it has always been like that as far as she knows
>Yrian is angry at that way of thinking, people accept some things just happen and don't think about how and why, which always ends up with innocent people getting involved
>In the future, the war for the Moonlight Ladder doesn't happen anymore
>Yrian believes finding out the truth about it is the key to stop the war for good and reach Tika's future
>He asks once again everyone for their help

>Caleen is impatient, it'll be 2 days until we reach Daftine, everyone is getting ready and resting
>Evelysse must be doing some thinking on her own about her own powers as well
>Tika goes to see her, Recoro was going to go too but Henry stopped him, they should be left alone
>Meanwhile, Valka and Coro are on the bridge checking everything is alright
>No threats have been detected, so how come Valka's ship was shot down and we are fine?
>Coro thinks it might have been due to improper maintenance, he inspected her ship and there was no external damage
>Valka refuses to accept that, her father was in charge of maintenance, there is no way there could be a problem
>Verda apologizes in Coro's instead for making her cry, surely he didn't mean to imply it was her father's fault
>He did though
>She's sure something hit her
>Coro apologized and promised to inspect her ship again more carefully at a later date
>According to Coro's intel, Ajeel might be located 8000 meters under the sea
>Our ship is not equipped to go underwater so no chance we can get there, and in the first place would Ajeel be able to resist the water pressure since it's that deep?
>Valka disagrees, another potential place where it could be located it's only 300 meters under the sea
>Oh my, could it be Coro is the one malfunctioning due to improper maintenance...
>He says he received maintenance on Planet Vent, that's impossible
>They keep fighting as Verda sighs

>Yrian is surprised even us with our technology can't find it
>Welch makes fun of Coro too
>Tika thinks maybe we can't find it because someone or something is hiding on purpose, this way the place can never be found until the moment the Moonlight Ladder appears
>The one who might help us find it is the masked man since he seems to know a lot about symbology
>However we don't have a way to find him, Coro couldn't put a tracker on him, it seems he had countermeasures for things like that
>Verda guesses he's probably from an advanced planet since not everyone can do that, besides when Welch hit him he wasn't even hurt
>Tika remembered something he once said (his objective is keeping Tika safe no matter what) so she's sure he'll come to rescue her if she's taken prisoner again
>Recoro is against it, but if Caleen and Henry can keep her safe, he'll agree to it
>Yrian and Valka will go as well to provide support, and the rumors of Yrian being there will surely reach him
>Welch says Verda, Evelysse and the Captain might have to sit this one out, with Guivell there Evelysse shouldn't get close, and a larger group will be too suspicious
>everyone looks at Welch dumbfounded, they never imagined a reasonable and well thought plan would come out of her mouth

>Everyone goes over the plan and Valka ask the Captain to keep looking into what happened to her ship, she can't shake the feeling something is wrong
>We've seen lately many things Coro's sensors don't work on such as Ajeel and the masked man so just because we can't see it, doesn't mean there is nothing out there
>Coro concedes defeat, he'll look into it seriously
>Yrian's group teleports to Daftine, he was amazed at the map made of light Valka showed him, she's awesome
>Valka couldn't stop giggling and smiling for a moment before going back to her serious attitude
>Yrian and Tika are going to let themselves be captured, Valka becomes invisible to avoid being spotted too, she's awesome
>She's invisible, but everyone can tell she's blushing
>Yrian puts up a lame hero act, he won't let the Bashen soldiers pass unless they beat him, and conveniently saying very loud he's with Tika, the girl General Ricardo is looking for...
>Caleen orders the soldiers to capture them
>Yrian runs around for a bit and lets himself be captured by werewolf Henry, pretending to be a beast under Caleen's control
>Caleen is dying of embarrassment from this obviously staged fight

>Henry says there wasn't really any need to do that though he liked it, he asked Valka for her opinion
>No comment
>Tika believes Yrian was very cool, to which Recoro says she shouldn't avert her eyes from the truth, as that would be the opposite of this journey's goal
>Now they just need to sit and wait for the masked man to come
>They talk a bit about Rublica symbology users and the name Elaine comes up
>Tika is surprised at hearing that name, Elaine is also the name of her mother
>It could be a coincidence, or maybe her mother came to this era too
>Tika doesn't think it could be her, her mother was just a normal housewife and even if she came to this era, she shouldn't be able to use any symbology
>She would be happy if she could see her, but it's better if it isn't her, she doesn't want her to be in a time like this
>Valka believes a parent would stop at nothing to find their missing child, even if that means crossing through time

>It's been 3 days and still no sign of the masked man
>The other times he showed up we were in Rublica, so maybe it'll take more time since we're in Bashen now
>A Bashen soldier tells Caleen she received orders from Guivell to join the emperor's new squad
>Later the same Bashen soldier informs Caleen there is an intruder in the village, it's the man himself
>The masked man is angry at Yrian for not taking well care of Tika, they had to bring her here out of all places
>She says this was a plan she herself came up with to find him, it's not Yrian's fault
>He saw right through Valka's invisibility and figured something like this was going on
>He says we need to leave this place right now and orders Yrian to tell him if Caleen and Henry are nearby
>Yrian is surprised at seeing he knows about Henry already, he never met him as far as we know
>He also knows who Coro is and orders him to teleport everyone immediately
>Valka detected a symbology spell was used nearby, Coro is unable to teleport everyone
>A Bashen soldier was transformed into a monster and the masked man says we need to run

>We meet up with Caleen and Henry
>On the ship, Welch hears Yrian is in trouble and wants to come down
>Based masked man tells her to not fucking come, he already has enough shit to deal with right now and she's only going to make things worse
>The technique used is something Guivell came up, he turned 6 out of the 10 soldiers in the village into monsters
>The monsters are distorting space which is affecting the teleport function so we need to kill them to be able to leave, there is no other alternative
>He heard they are called "Exerciser" and they are Guivell's new squad (the one mentioned earlier)
>Just who is this man and why does he know so much?
>He's called General Ricardo Franz in Rublica, although that's not his real name
>If we want to know more he'll tell us later, but now we need to fight for our lives
>We managed to win, Caleen is super angry at Guivell for using her people as pawns
>Ricardo tells her to save her anger for later, once the Moonlight Ladder drops we'll have to face him
>Ajeel will emerge soon, we need to get there quickly
>We all go back to our ship

>Evelysse wonders who he is, he knows way too much about everything, Valka's scans don't work on him, he refuses to remove his mask, he's too suspicious
>Everyone wants answers
>All he has to say is that he's not Tika's enemy
>Coro says under normal circumstances he would never let anyone like him aboard the ship
>To which he says is it against the Pangalactic Federation rules? Those idiots never change
>Evelysse and Coro are surprised he knows about the Federation
>The Holy Land of Ajeel emerged from the sea
>The Moonlight Ladder will drop soon
>and we're going to destroy it all in front of both Rublica and Bashen

Chapter 8
>We arrive at Ajeel
>Yrian can't believe he finally made it to the center of what's causing the war
>Rublica and Bashen are fighting 2km from here, Rublica has the upper hand
>Verda and Captain are bummed Tika couldn't come, Ricardo says a battlefield is no place for kids
>Flashback to minutes earlier, Ricardo is telling everyone Tika needs to stay on the ship, there is no way he's going to take her
>Caleen and Henri agree with him, it's too dangerous, Bashen and Rublica armies aside, our sensors can't detect anything from Ajeel so we don't know what traps there may be
>Recoro has to agree as well, Tika's safety is his priority
>Yrian too, she has been close to danger too many times already, and if her arms were to be broken inside Ajeel there won't be a way to repair them
>Tika understands, she doesn't want anyone to worry about her
>Back to present time, Welch wonders if Ricardo should be here with us, since he's a Rublica General and all that
>He says there is someone else over there taking his place but he'll only tell us who once the war is over
>Time to explore the place and destroy it
>Yrian warns Welch to not step on anything weird
>She can't guarantee it

>Verda is worried about what Ricardo said earlier, Henri noticed it too
>He seems to be from an advanced civilization, his gear is far better than ours, yet he doesn't seem to be carrying anything with him to destroy Ajeel

>Ricardo doesn't mind, but once we destroy Ajeel and both Bashen and Rublica are on our asses, she's going to have to carry it herself

>We find an strange object that look like precious stones, according to Vulcan's analysis they are used to activate teleportation symbology, that's how we'll be able to move inside this place
>Coro found a similar object in the Federation's database, very strange
>According to Ricardo it's not that surprising
>They are known as "Purge/Parj Temple", a place people explore, activate a defense mechanism and get killed like dumbasses
>Captain, Coro and Vulcan are alarmed that Ricardo knows that name
>If we want to know why, we need to get to keep climbing, he won't stay anything until then
>But well, it's not like he knows all the details, he just knows that in this universe, although they are rare, places like Ajeel exist somewhere else too

>A being carrying a huge sword appears before the group, Ricardo never heard there was something like this here
>We fight him

>We somehow beat him, Vulcan is tired and scared
>Henri guesses that being was Ajeel's Watchman
>Ricardo didn't hear Ajeel had one, but it isn't so weird there is one here in the first place
>Caleen pointed out he looked similar to the monsters we saw in the village, they had the same type of wings and symbology marks
>Welch thinks who cares, we beat him anyway
>He suddenly appeared again and attacked Welch, Yrian blocked the hit to protect her
>He's completely unharmed and even stronger than before, he's coming at us again
>We beat him again, everyone is exhausted
>Ricardo plans to destroy the stone before he appears again but he's attacked by Guivell from behind
>He's surprised we made it this far but thinks we aren't strong enough to beat the Watchman and break the stone
>He claims Bashen wins this time, his Exerciser must be wrecking havoc outside
>Ricardo is trying to stand up and tells Guivell a mere symbology thief like him shouldn't like he won already
>After hearing symbology thief, Guivell figured out it must be Mastima the one backing up Ricardo
>Mastima? Evelysse heard that name before, it's the moon of this planet
>Guivell tells her to not worry about it, it's about a certain insect who thinks she's a bigger deal than she actually is
>She escaped last time, but this time he'll make sure Evelysse stays with him by "erasing" her "friends"
>Guivell orders the Watchman to stand over there and don't do anything
>He order us in a way we can understand, using the language of this world: "die"

>We aren't doing much damage to the monster he summoned, his regeneration is too strong
>Ajeel starts shaking, Coro says an eclipse is happening
>The Moonlight Ladder is dropping
>Guivell tells Evelysse again to join him, so the two of them together can watch the "True Exerciser" come down to this planet
>A symbology emblem came from the sphere, Evelysse does her best to stop it with her own
>This is exactly what Guivell was waiting for
>The two emblem merge to form a portal and a giant hand comes out of it, it's the True Exerciser
>This one is the real thing unlike the ones from the village, and with his power Guivell is gonna make a new world
>Evelysse is unable to stop her emblem, the Exerciser can't be stopped once the portal is open
>Caleen won't let that happen, she managed to use her powers again
>Her emblem managed to interfere with the other two and stop the Exerciser's advance
>This is her revenge, he betrayed her heart and her people
>Evelysse and Caleen join forces to push back the True Exerciser and the Moonlight Ladder
>The energy from Ajeel was sent back to the Moon and began to distort space around it, seems the ray of energy hit our ship

>If we don't leave Ajeel soon we're going to sink along with it but we have no way to teleport outside anymore
>Despite the situation we're in and what happened to Tika, Ricardo is calm
>Verda desperately wants to know why, she's about to cry because we lost Tika and Evelysee
>Ricardo knows she's been suspecting he's not actually from Daftine
>He says nothing is over yet, rather things are about to start

>It's a girl with white long hair
>Took her longer than expected to come here, she had to deal with the navy on the way here but successfully managed to protect the capital
>She's wearing the same collar Ricardo put on Caleen before, and by activating it we are all teleported outside
>The girl is known in Daftine as Elaine

>Vulcan's scan said there were no traces of civilization or life forms on the moon, yet here we are
>Welch is running all over the place inspecting the building
>Like a professional wrestler, Yrian does his best to stop Welch
>Verda confirms with Tika what happened
>Tika was once again sent back to the past, this time it was 8 years
>She went through hard times, but she believed we were going to meet again
>Tika take us near the top of the building, to the symbology library Exjiiva? (???????) where Mastema is
>She introduced herself again: She's Mastema, a symbology user who was expelled from Heaven, and is currently supervising Exjiiva
>She has the same name as the moon, but actually the moon was named after her since it is an important place
>Verda ask her what she meant by expelled from Heaven
>Mastema turns to the Captain and "that puppet", saying we should know what she meant by Heaven
>Vulcan took offense on the puppet comment and demands an explanation
>Mastema refuses, saying there is no point in answering her question. What, did she think she was going to get everything she wants because the Morphus are the self proclaimed guardians of the universe?
>It's time for them to learn there are a lot of things in this universe they are not aware of, so how about they stop listening to Vandione so much and think for themselves for once?
>She won't allow her to insult Vandione, doing so is the same as proclaiming war to the Morphus
>Mastema sighs and tells Vulcan to shut up already, that attitude is a pain in the ass, she's just like Vandione and Ex
>Vulcan was going to raise her weapon against Mastema but Henri stopped her
>Mastema knows who she is but we don't know anything about her, making her our enemy in her own turf is going to be a terrible decision, so for now she has to calm down
>Mastema laughs and half joking apologizes to Vulcan, been a while since she saw someone from EnII so all these feelings she had bottled up came out

>Caleen asked how old she is, as far as she knows the Moon being called Mastema is incredibly old, even older than the Holy War
>Is that surprising to her? The Foxtail themselves are known to live hundreds of years
>Welch is at awe after hearing hundreds of years, she apologized to Caleen for treating her so casually before
>You know, you gotta respect your elders...
>Caleen tells her to stop that or she'll get angry
>Mastema laughs, it's been 3.7 billion years since she was born
>Vulcan doesn't believe it
>Not that she cares if she believes it or not, but Mastema wants to know how can Vulcan say it's impossible so easily. What, she thought her dear Vandione and Ex were the only special ones?
>Vandione is the type of guy who only gives the minimum amount of information needed, it's not surprising he never told Vulcan they weren't the only ones
>A word of advice: Keep following Ex blindly and you won't live for long

>There was once a planet called Nede that ruled most of the universe
>She was born there and was supposed to become one of God's Ten Wise Men
>The leader was Gabriel, then the following people were recruited for the project: Zaphkiel, Jophiel, Metatron, Zadkiel, Camael, Raphael, Michael, Haniel and Lucifer
>Things ended badly for them, had they just stuck to their original purpose of defending Nede maybe a tragedy could have been avoided
>A lot of things happened in between, Mastema escaped and was captured, and eventually ended up in this place
>Henri asked her how come Vulcan's scans couldn't detect Exjiiva
>It's obvious, her ancient and excellent symbology cloaked the place
>Then it's possible that whoever attacked Vulcan's ship and us at Lambrance was using the same symbology
>Mastema tell us we need to step up our technology game, things aren't looking good if you can't deal with a 3.7 billion old spell...
>Exjiiva is using OS Lastier, it's a place made to store her vast knowledge and uncover the truths of the universe
>She couldn't join God's Ten Wise Men because all there was in her heart was a desire for learning symbology
>Verda has a talk with Tika, she wants to know how did she end up here
>Turns out she landed on the Moon after getting hit by Ajeel's beam
>She met Mastema and she gave her a place to stay
>Mastema was happy something exciting was happening for once, it was the first time she met someone who was sent to the past two times by a Time Gate
>It's not that unusual for people to get lost in time and end up here, when that happens Mastema gives them a home and protection
>She gave them anything they wanted, and so Tika asked for one thing: the power to fight
>The first thing that came to Tika's mind was a gun since she always looked up to Verda
>She's no longer dead weight, together with us she'll rescue Evelysse

>Ricardo doesn't want to say anything, Tika says she'll say it for him if he doesn't want to, Vulcan is going to know right away the second he takes off his mask anyway

>Coro himself has been upgraded, it wouldn't be a joke to say he's the universe's best AI as he is right now, or so he says
>He started to show off his new features and being annoying, Mastema pressed a button to shock him
>She added it as a bonus, for those times when he goes crazy

>He has something very important to tell us, specially to Vulcan
>The one who shot down Vulcan's ship 1 year ago was... him
>She guessed something like that happened when she saw grown up Tika, he must have done it to steer things in the right direction
>He was also the one who did it in Lambrance, and also did many other things, all so we could be reunited on this day
>It's alright, Vulcan is not mad, she made precious friends thanks to that
>She'll never forget she got stranded because of Coro and not because her ship malfunctioned, she'll never forget that...
>In return for her help, Mastema wants us to do many things
>But first we need to become stronger to be able to deal with Guivell and rescue Evelysse so after we rest a bit we're going to level up
>An strange white and gold robot comes in, saying it's been a while
>Caleen recognized that voice, it's Recoro
>Everyone is surprised at seeing how much he changed, seems he has been upgraded
>Actually Recoro was behind that strange robot
>The robot is called "Lambda", he's a general purpose AI made using Recoro as a base to take care of Tika's needs while she was here, like cooking and doing the laundry
>Welch is excited, he's like a maid or butler robot
>Lambda wasn't made for combat but he can help us with our training
>Mastema says the Federation's simulation is good, but hers is way better, has a no holding back mode where you can even die

>After training we receive a call from Mastema, it seems something is happening on Daftine
>We head to our ship, Coro says he located Guivell, he's back on Basheen
>We're going to have to sneak in again
>Coro says no need, now that he and the ship have been upgraded he can teleport us to anywhere in Daftine
>Once we go down to Daftine we can expect conflict, Ajeel might be gone but it's not clear who won the war yet so both Rublica and Basheen are still fighting
>It's not going to be easy to rescue Evelysse and stop the war
>Mastema came in and sat on the Captain's chair, she has a suggestion
>How about we use our ship to destroy Ajeel? If the reason the war is happening is gone, then there is no point in continuing
>Yrian thinks this is a problem Daftine's people need to solve for themselves, relying on our advanced technology won't sit well with him and might cause trouble
>Sadly for him, Ajeel really needs to be destroyed, more precisely it's the black sphere we found inside of it what needs to be destroyed
>If Guivell gets his hands on that thing, he could very well be able to destroy the entire universe
>She understands how he feels, but this is a matter concerning the entire universe
>If Mastema's plan goes well, we can make Ajeel resurface again
>Ajeel only comes out when the Moonlight Ladder drops, so she's going to force the Ladder to appear, but to make that happen she needs our help
>Our ship is going to be used on this mission so she feels like she needs our approval, we're the Captain after all

>What is the Moonlight Ladder in the first place?
>In simpler terms, the Moonlight Ladder is one big failure
>"Failure" sounds like an experiment to Welch, something someone made
>She's correct, Mastema made it
>She used to be a researcher, when she didn't want her research to be used as a weapon for the defense of Heaven her peers concluded she was "crazy", took the research from her and expelled her from Heaven
>200 years ago when her research results were put in action, the universe was almost at the brink of destruction
>The Federation should be aware of it, the symbology spell that caused "that" was hers
>In anger, she tried to make a symbology spell to travel back in time to take back her research
>When she activated the spell 200 years ago, the island that had been sleeping at the bottom of the ocean in Daftine came out
>Mastema says Ajeel is probably a symbology monitoring device, and when it detected Mastema's time traveling spell it became attached to it, disrupting it
>If we were to travel back in time 200 years ago to stop Mastema from developing the time traveling spell, then it's possible the Holy War might never happen
>Yrian says that's wrong, the only ones to blame for the war are Daftine's people, his ancestors for doing whatever they wanted, it wasn't Mastema's fault

>Caleen wants to know what relationship Mastema and Guivelleze have
>He was once too living here in the Exjiiva, Mastema thought he was another poor victim of the Moonlight Ladder, but that wasn't the case
>She suspects he threw himself onto the Ladder on purpose to arrive here, it's very possible he knew all about her beforehand
>He arrived 100 years ago and spent his time studying symbology, specially Mastema's time traveling spell
>Henri wonders where he came from
>Mastema has an idea but has no proof so she'll refrain from speculating, but she knows well what's his objective
>He's interested in the tear in space and time that occurs when the summoning symbology spell is used
>When he left Exjiiva he took part of Mastema's research with him and said he'll bring "Exerciser" from the tears in space and time
>She assumed those Barbed creatures we fought were this Exerciser, but after talking with Coro it seems that isn't the case at all
>She knows he's planning to use Ajeel, the Moonlight Ladder and the summoning spell to bring something else into this world
>Mastema feels partly responsible for all of this, since it was her own fault she couldn't control her own spell back then, so this time she will act to make things right
>Everyone is in agreement that we need to destroy Ajeel, defeat Guivell and rescue Evelysse
>We'll deal with what comes next when we cross that bridge
>An alert resounds, Guivell is attacking Exjiiva

>Somewhere else, Guivell is explaining everything about Mastema and Exjiiva to Evelysse
>He knows that weak creature isn't going to be enough to kill us, but it's strong enough to do some damage
>He can't let her outside of this room, but he's fine with telling her anything she wants to know
>There is a lot she wants to know, but there isn't a single thing she wants from him
>He finds it very interesting how that side of her hasn't changed at all not even after losing her memory
>It gives her chills knowing a guy like him knows about her past
>He says there isn't anyone who knows her better than him
>Evelysse is disgusted, she'll prefer to bit her tongue and die before helping him
>She can act tough but he knows she won't do that because of her so called friends, deep down they give her "hope"
>But it's fine if she wants to act rebellious, he's convinced when the times comes she will use her summoning spell for him
>Forcing the Moonlight Ladder to drop and make Ajeel resurface, thinking his goal is summoning the Exerciser... As long as Mastema thinks that way it'll be his victory
>It's true he wants to summon the Exerciser but... who said that was all?

Chapter 10
>Tika and Ricardo coordinate a rescue team to help the survivors from the attack
>Yrian, Caleen and Henri are amazed at how much she has grown, she's no longer the powerless little girl they knew
>Mastema tells the Captain, Verda and Vulcan to come with her, she wants to talk with them in private
>She ask them about their resolve, are they willing to put their lives at risk for strangers?
>Vulcan doesn't understand what she's getting at
>The upcoming battle is going to be harder than we thought, so she wants to know if we, who aren't related to this conflict involving Daftine and its people, are willing to fight for them
>The foe we are going to fight has the power to defy the common sense of the universe
>If Vulcan were to die, there would be no one to report what happened to Ex and they won't be able to protect the rest of the universe, and while she dislikes Ex and Vandione, she doesn't want that
>She's confident she can get back Evelysse so it's fine if Vulcan were to stay here
>Verda is surprised at how kind she is
>She tells Mastema all of us had experienced our fair share of things that defy common sense, such as the disease that attacked her planet
>Back then Evelysse and Coro helped her without second thought, now it's our turn to do the same
>We'll fight for Tika, Yrian, Mastema and the whole universe's sake
>The Captain agrees
>Vulcan too, she's doing it out of her own will, to make her father and race proud
>Once Tika and Ricardo come back we'll talk about our strategy
>Mastema looked at the Captain and wanted to tell him something but decided to not to, she'll go get Tika and Ricardo herself

>Everyone is at the bridge, Mastema is pumped
>She took the Captain's seat and tells him to go sit in the corner over there
>Tika steps in to put some order
>She reprimands Mastema, he's the Captain of this ship so he should be giving the orders
>Mastema pouts, she doesn't wanna follow a youngster's orders
>You are 3.7 billion years old Mastema, don't act like a kid
>Tika puts the Captain back on his seat
>Our target is Ajeel and the black sphere inside of it, Mastema will use a spell to lure Ajeel out of the ocean and then we destroy it with our ship's upgraded weapons
>She's confident her weapons will blow Ajeel to a billion pieces
>Vulcan has a question, if we destroy Ajeel and therefore the Moonlight Ladder now, then that means it'll stop existing in the future?
>That's correct, but then, how come Tika and Ricardo came from the future in the first place if it'll stop existing?
>That's because Tika and Ricardo weren't sent here by the Moonlight Ladder in the first place
>He saw it first hand, the ship he was guarding was hit by a Class 3 energy wave, and that wave came from an organic life form
>The ship's computer took a picture of that being and as soon as he looked at it, the energy wave started to affect him and he was sent to Exjiiva in the past
>Even without the Moonlight Ladder people will still get sent to Exjiiva, extraordinary creatures that can do something like that exist in the universe

>We are ready to fire as soon as Ajeel comes out
>Meanwhile at Basheen, Guivell noticed we are trying to make Ajeel resurface, he summons another one of those giant monsters that attacked Cosmos City in Exjiiva
>Evelysse is angry at him but he's still confident that went the time comes, Evelysse will help him out of her own will
>We detect the monsters coming our way, Coro is ready to fire but he's pushed out of the way by Mastema, who tells everyone her weapons aren't gonna lose and orders him to fire
>The Captain is sad his authority is undermined
>Coro sends Ricardo and Henri to man the guns
>Ricardo killed one of them, Welch wants to fire that weapon so much
>We take a direct hit but our shield is still at 93%
>The monster landed on the ship, we'll have to fight him head on but we can't go all out without damaging the ship so we have to be careful
>Henri confirms Ajeel is resurfacing but we can't fire until he's gone
>Yrian, Welch, Tika and Caleen fight and win, they stay in the simulator room to be safe
>We fire at Ajeel and it starts collapsing
>Tika has a bad feeling, she thinks something bad is going to happen and ask Caleen if she can feel it too
>Caleen is not sure what she's talking about
>Henri spots an energy signature coming from Daftine
>Vulcan does too, an innumerable count of symbology crests are being activated across the entire country
>Coro puts Basheen on the monitor, people are transforming into Barbed beast and attacking each other
>According to Coro, this happened the instant Ajeel was destroyed
>Seems this was also part of Guivell's plan
>Suddenly they are all looking at the sky, they are looking straight at us
>We decide to go to Basheen

>Evelysse can't believe what she's saying
>Guivell says he did nothing, in our words this is called the "providence of nature"
>Regardless of who destroys Ajeel, this was always meant to happen
>It just so happens it was her friends who did it
>He'll say it again, this was the "providence of nature"
>They were always destined to become them
>He ask her if she wants to know what really is that crest that comes from the Barbed
>This is the result of research
>It's not something he himself set up, they are like a mindless "Antenna"
>Evelysse noticed everyone is looking at the sky
>Now that Ajeel is gone they are looking at the next source of symbology, trying to fill the gap inside of them
>He asks Evelysse if she never asked herself why the Barbed kept attacking her? Why were they summoned by the Witch of Beasts? They are after crest that disrupt space-time
>This planet that was affected by the Moonlight Ladder was the perfect ground for this
>He tells her that to stop them her own summoning crest is the key
>By mixing it with his own crest, they'll be attracted to it and they can be controlled again

>If she believes him or not it doesn't matter to him, neither does it matter the amount of people that will die, he doesn't have the means to stop this by himself after all
>Guivell freed Evelysse from her bindings, she's now free to do whatever she wants
>If she doesn't want to cooperate and prefers to fight him he'll gladly take her on
>He tells her to take her time and think carefully, the decision is all hers
>Evelysse calls him inhuman but he tells her very clearly he's human, he's more human than anyone else in this world
>He works to make his ambitions come true, fight to protect his loved ones, truly a real human being
>Evelysse thinks it's like him and her live in different worlds
>She hates it, but she accepts to work together
>She believes her friends will not abandon this planet no matter, that they'll do something about what's about to happen and that no matter how despairing the situation becomes, they will never lose hope
>Evelysse starts chanting, hoping her crest will save Daftine's people

>The Exerciser is here this time for real and with a swing of his sword, he rips apart the space-time
>Evelysse can see the universe from the tear in space-time, she spots Daftine
>Guivell tells her it's not just any universe, it's a whole new world
>That's not our Daftine, that's a different Daftine
>Because it's easier to make a "copy" of the "original" instead of trying to "fix" it
>His, their, answer to that is the Exerciser
>He grabs Evelysse and tells her they're going home, this world is useless now
>Evelysse doesn't want to go to the new world but who said she was going there?
>What he's after is the "rift", the boundary between worlds, they can go back to where they belong from there
>Evelysse doesn't want to, there is still so much she wants to do

>His objective is not the "other side" but the "boundary"
>We depart towards the rift
>Henri remembers what the Watchman inside Ajeel said about disturbances in space, he was protecting the sphere from Guivell, not from us
>We are inside the rift, we can see pieces of Basheen and Rublica floating around, things that we've seen in the past and things that we've never seen
>What you see here depends on who's looking, but since Guivell opened the rift, the "image" he's seeing is stronger than everyone else's which is why we are all seeing the same thing
>We encounter Executioners on our way and fight them
>As we walk, Mastema talks with Ricardo
>On Nede they tried to develop parallel world traveling spells many times but their experiments were often failures, the rift would close too quickly before they could successfully connect to the other side
>To succeed on his plan Guivell needed the Exerciser, a monster from the "Demon World"
>Beings brought to this world by summoning crests come from other worlds
>Caleen tells Mastema her summons came from Daftes, to which she says they could be from "another" Daftes rather than the one we know
>As for how Evelysse's summoning spell works Mastema won't know until she sees it herself

>We find Guivell and Evelysse
>Mastema wonders why he, who could have left already, is here waiting for us
>Everyone is getting ready to fight him
>He says he's here to prevent us from going any further, specially Mastema, there is very little that can be kept a secret from her
>Guivell show us images of Exjiiva, he let loose a couple of monsters to wreak havoc to take advantage of Mastema's absence
>Tika is ready to fight him, last time she had to run away but not this time, she's going to get Evelysse back and stop the Holy War
>He tells her she's too foolish, no matter where she is, that's the kind of person she is
>Still she made it here, he's never going to be caught off guard, he won't underestimate us
>No matter how small and insignificant the chance of us winning is, he can't let us pass through or else everything might have been for nothing, so he's going to exterminate us right here right now
>Ahead lies a place filth like us must never set foot, only he and Evelysse are allowed there
>Guivell begins chanting
>We defeat the monster and Yrian attacks him while Tika goes to rescue Evelysse
>He tries to summon another one but he's shot by Vulcan
>Evelysse is happy she's back with us and surprised there's people she doesn't know
>Yrian tells Guivell to give up, it's over
>Over? He said he will never be caught off guard, yet he's on his knees, it's an undeniable truth
>He admits it, we are strong, strong enough to become "their" enemy, so he'll face us with his full power and put his life on the line
>He looks at the Captain and says so you're the one at the center of everything
>He's willing to destroy everything, and to do that he has to break the "rules" of this world
>He starts chanting once more
>Guivell transforms into a monster, far above the level of God's Ten Wise Men according to Mastema
>No one is afraid, everyone is ready to fight

>We win
>He still hasn't given up, he tells Evelysse to come to him
>He starts chanting again, he refuses to lose to the people of this world
>Evelysse figured it out after seeing the Exerciser's power and his crest
>She commends his efforts for trying to get her back even in that form
>She used her own crest to take away his powers
>He asks her why, if she saw the Exerciser's crest she knows who he is, then why
>It's obvious, it has nothing to do with what he wants
>He just tried to destroy the things that are precious to her, that's enough reason for her to not go with him
>Precious things? Then what is he, why is she doing this?
>People change, they trample and get up, that's why the universe is wonderful
>She knows the people of this universe are not weak, she and him can't see eye to eye anymore on that
>She hopes that him and her don't cross paths ever again, for the sake of both of them
>Evelysse begins chanting with tears in her eyes and makes Guivell disappear

>Evelysse falls unconscious
>Vulcan confirms Guivell is not here anymore
>Mastema is starting to figure out what's up with Evelysse and Guivell
>Now that he's gone the rift is closing, Coro teleports us all back to our ship
>Sometime later, everything is back to normal
>Welch is working on something and Yrian offers to help her, he knows she wants to get this thing ready as quickly as possible
>They are getting so well Vulcan doesn't know how to react
>Basheen's Emperor, Tika acting as Elaine Blunche and Henri sign a peace treaty, leaving a mark on Daftine's history so the records match up with the ones from Tika's future
>The Holy War is officially over
>The Captain is watching from the ship with Coro
>Turns out the Emperor was sent to Daftes too by Caleen's collar and was later rescued by Henri, we were lucky he didn't die or else things might have gone differently
>Mastema swears she didn't plan it, it was all a coincidence
>The Captain doesn't believe it but she says it's true, there were many factors outside of her scope
>It's time to leave
>Yep, time for us to leave says Mastema
>Us?
>Us. She's coming along, the Captain picked her interest
>Coro is shocked, a new rival...
>Welch, Yrian, Caleen, Vulcan, Henri, Tika and Ricardo get on the ship as well and we leave Daftine
>What now? It's obvious, the journey to reunite Tika with her family begins
>An amazing journey across the sea of stars
