- changes from base game:
- the pools of randomized items are separated into :
- 1. minor items, which are missiles, supers, and pbs
- 2. major items, which are major items (morph, bombs, grapple, xray, suits, boots, screw attack, springball), etanks, and reserves. with one caveat, the hj etank isn't in the pool of majors, its been replaced with the wrecked ship supers on the right side
- construction zone pink door is blue, and zebes awakens immediately upon entering that room, so you can dboost to get retro brin etank immediately, instead of having to go up and down the elevator
- red tower elevator room's orange door is blue to prevent softlocks
- GRAVITY NO LONGER PROTECTS YOU FROM ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE (heat, lava, acid, spikes), as a side effect, varia protects you from the same sources of damage twice as much as it normally would
- Varia will never be in Lower Norfair
- Mother Brain 1 and Mother Brain 3 cutscenes have been shortened dramatically (standup unaffected)
- Golden 4 Cutscene is eliminated, if you killed all four bosses, the way to Tourian is open immediately upon entering
- Suit animation cutscenes are gone, so it doesn't place you in the middle of the screen, potentially softlocking you in solid blocks
- You will no longer lose blue speed echoes while taking heat damage
- S/T beam is disabled
- GT Code is disabled
- You start on Zebes with a blank file directly from "Start Game."
