1. Warcraft 3 Setup

Consolidated the first three original links, includes base Warcraft 3 files and the first set of maps/misc/sound and model files. If this is your first installation, after having launched Warcraft 3 at least once you will need to run the localfiles.reg file. This is a one-time operation that will allow Warcraft to access custom files such as fonts, themes, sound packs, and model packs.

Warcraft version 1.27a with DzAPI and JAPI made for the Chinese Warcraft III Battle Platform.
After extracting, navigate to tools/YDWE/bin and run YDWEConfig. In the System Associations tab, change the Warcraft Path to the war3.exe in the folder you just extracted to. Most other tabs are likely irrelevant to you as they deal with the World Editor, but the Configuration tab lets you change window settings, and the Warcraft Plugin allows you to select which plugins and APIs run. Once done, save and exit out. Run the game with the APIs applied by launching YDWE War III.bat. Otherwise, launching through the standard Frozen Throne executable will run a standard version of 1.27 without any of the plugins in a similar fashion had you disabled them all in settings.

Touhou themed main menu replacers that will change the background graphic and menu music. While not required, they are a nice way to spice up the background while waiting in the LAN lobbies. The 3D animated ones in particular are recommended. To install, place the textures and UI folder as well as the MP3 in your base WC3 directory. You may need to delete these if you wish to change themes.

2. LAN Setup

To play using Warcraft 3's LAN system, we will be using a P2P networking program called Zerotier. It should be a fairly easy setup that only requires entering in the network ID into the Join Network section and waiting for the admin to approve the connection. You should know you've joined if the network name under Show Networks changes to /jp/Dream and the status is OK.
Please note that your PC name may show up on the list of connections and that you may wish to change it if your PC name contains any information such as your real life name. Some anons have reported that turning off Network Discovery in Windows may help to prevent the name from showing as well.
