- Hello, this is SirSkit with the Mega Aerodactyl and Omastar core. I actually submitted this core, with an offensive playstyle in mind for Rock. Mega Aerodactyl needs a bit more love on Rock Monotypes, as it is outshone by Mega Diancie and Mega Aggron nowadays. It's great for its immunity to Ground-types, amazing speed, and ability to sweep types like Fighting and Grass with a little support. The main thing that makes it so cool is Tough Claws Aerial Ace, since it's probably the best way of removing Mega Venusaur on Rock, outside of Acrobatics Archeops. It does struggle with bulky Ground-, Steel- and Rock-types, so I thought that pairing it with Omastar would be neat, which kinda helps with all three. Omastar appreciates Aerodactyl's ability to remove bulky af Grass-types before it attempts a Shell Smash sweep. So uh, on to the rest of the team!

- Mega Aerodactyl - I mostly explained Aerial Ace above, but it's great for removing bulky Grass-types from the match. Without it, Aerodactyl would probably a lot more cruddy for the Rock Mega slot. I also use it whenever the power difference doesn't matter between its other move options, since I honestly don't trust the accuracy of any of the other moves 100% u-u. Stone Edge is STAB, but more powerful STAB, and hits lots of targets pretty well. Fire Fang could be used over it if you don't mind the loss in power, but Fire Fang hits stuff like Ferrothorn nicely, which would otherwise hinder Omastar's sweep. Aqua Tail is mainly there to nail loads of Ground-types, notably Hippowdon, Gliscor, and Excadrill, and has decent neutral coverage alongside the other coverage options. Ice Fang hits 4x weak stuff harder, like Garchomp and Gliscor, but I always found Aqua Tail more useful. Lastly, Taunt shuts down walls and somewhat prevents status from the likes of Mew, Cresselia, etc. It also allows me to shut down Hippowdon leads and potentially land a free hit on something, as a Taunted Hippowdon can't do much to an Aerodactyl.
- Omastar - The other half of the core, Omastar, honestly didn't pull as much weight as I hoped it would. I'm not really sure why, but it just didn't. The EVs look pretty funky, but it's designed to be able to outspeed Sand Rush Excadrill after you activate Weak Armor and Shell Smash. Air Balloon is there to help you activate Weak Armor, especially against Ground-types, since a lot of physical mons need to activate Weak Armor in order to hit an Air Balloon Omastar, whereas without it, they could simply use Earthquake. The moves are pretty self-explanatory, except that Hidden Power Grass is used to nail Gastrodon hard.
- Terrakion - Choice Band Terrakion worked with the core pretty well, since it just destroys other teams if you give it a free switch, and also demolishes most Steel-types for Mega Aerodactyl. Not a whole lot to say about this guy, but Quick Attack is good for picking off stuff like Belly Drum Azumaarill after you weaken it enough.
- Rhyperior - Props to A Tyke for the Custap Berry Idea. Normally I used a Weakness Policy on Rhyperior, but, since Rhyperior is just one of the slowest things ever, it's usually useless if it's at ~25%. Custap Berry allows Rhyperior to get in a good hit before going down and works splendidly against crap that try to flinch you, like Jirachi. Endure is there to help you get down to Custap range but should only be used once you're around 40%. Surprise factor is a huge part of the set, so use it wisely.
- Tyranitar - This takes most Ice Beams, Thunderbolts, and weaker Grass attacks on for Omastar and Aerodactyl, and sand helps Mega Aerodactyl switch into Mega Venusaur. Removing bulky Psychic-types is important for the two, so TTar definitely is appreciated here. I suppose you could probably run Ice Beam over Ice Punch to hit a few more things harder. The EVs are just enough to outspeed nubs who use minimum speed Scizor and Fire Blast it. the rest of the EVs are split into Atk and SpD, but there are probably better EV spreads out there.
- Cradily - Last but not least, Cradily. This is kinda important on all Rock teams, and it basically is here to take on loads of Water- and Ground-types, set up Stealth Rocks, (sometimes) wall Breloom, and give me a fighting chance against Swift Swim Water Monotypes. A secondary wall for Garchomp is just great, since it frees up Rhyperior to take on Excadrill. Again, not a whole lot to add here.
