- >You are Anonfilly
- >And today, you will finally get some freedom
- >You had asked Twilight if you could go see the new Daring Do film that had just come out
- >All by yourself
- >Unsurprisingly, she was reluctant. But ultimately, she agreed
- >Soon, you would be on your own
- >Just as soon as she finished making sure you were "prepared"
- >"Okay, uh, you remember how to get there, right?"
- "Yes, Twilight..."
- >"You know not to take any of the back roads, and to stay where other ponies can see you?"
- "Yes, I know."
- >"And if anyone tries to get you to come with them, you know what to do, right?"
- "Don't go with them, duh."
- >She frowns
- >"Anon, staying safe is not a joke. This is serious."
- >You roll your eyes
- "I know how to take care of myself, Twilight. I'm a grown ass man."
- >She gives you a strange look
- >"Well, you aren't anymore, and I don't want anything to happen to you..."
- >Damn, she is overprotective
- "Are we good?"
- >She thinks for a while
- >"You have the bits for the ticket?"
- >You shake your saddle bags, the coins jingling in them
- >"Okay, good..."
- "So, can I go now?"
- >She bites her lip
- >"J-just one more thing"
- >Her horn glows for a second, and a small magic bolt zaps your flank
- >It doesn't hurt, but it makes you jump
- "Ow, what the-"
- >You catch yourself, don't want to screw this up by cursing at her
- "-what was that?"
- >"Just a little spell for my sanity. So that I can find you in case something does go wrong."
- "Nothing is going to happen, Twilight. I'll be fine."
- >Finally, she looks satisfied with herself
- >"Okay Anon, I trust you."
- >She kisses you on the cheek
- >"Have fun at the movies, and please be home for dinner!"
- >You give her a smile
- "Bye Twilight, see you later!"
- >You trot out of the castle door, and down the streets of Ponyville, off to the movies
- >A mischievous smile on your face the whole way
- >You arrive at the theater, and wait in line for your ticket
- >Seemed like a standard turnout, not too many ponies around
- >After a few minutes, it was your turn
- >You step up to the ticket booth, and open your saddle bag
- "One ticket for the new Daring Do, please!"
- >You give your best "adorable filly smile"
- >"Aww, aren't you just precious."
- >She looks around
- >"Are your parents nearby?"
- >Damn, play it cool. You've got this
- "My mommy let me come all on my own! She's the princess of friendship, so if she thinks I'm ready, then I must be!"
- >She suddenly looks surprised
- >"P-princess Twilight Sparkle is your mother?"
- >You nod
- >"Well, I shouldn't worry then. I'm sure she has everything under control."
- >You look at her expectantly
- >"Oh, right! That'll be eight bits, sweetie."
- >You lay the bits on the counter, and she hands you your ticket
- "Thanks!"
- >You give her another smile as you walk in, just for good measure
- >Inside the theater there is a small concession stand, and a hallway with all of the movie rooms
- >You decide you'd rather not get ripped off, and skip the concessions
- >Now for the fun part
- >You walk down the hall, reading the names of all the other movies that are playing
- >Daring Do, Daring Do, Daring Do... yeah, they hyped this up big time
- >Power Poines, nah
- >Hey, here we go. An R-rated film!
- >"A-mare-ican Psycho"
- "Fucking hell"
- >After groaning at the terrible horse pun, you decide this is your best bet
- >You look around to make sure nobody is watching, and carefully sneak your way in
- >The movie has already started, and the room is dark
- >Perfect
- >Everyone's attention is on the film, so they don't notice you climbing up to the back of the room
- >You take a seat and try to catch up on the film
- >Looks like it's basically the same concept as the version you know, just... horseified
- >You watch the movie for a while
- >It's actually a lot tamer than what you remember
- >You aren't really surprised, most stuff in Equestria is much less explicit than back home
- >It's more like a PG-13 film now, but whatever. You'll take it
- >Currently, Patrick- er, "Patty Blossom", is explaining her taste in music
- >Oh shit, here comes the dubs part!
- >You hope those fuckers didn't leave that out
- >She walks up to the record player, and goes to turn it on
- >Your tail swishes around excitedly
- >Here it comes!
- >Suddenly, the film cuts out, and the room gets brighter
- >Dammit
- >"We're sorry for the inconvenience, and will have the film back on shortly. Thank you for your patience."
- "Ugh"
- >You roll your eyes. Leave it to the ponies to screw things up
- >Oh shit, the lights
- >You crouch down in your seat, hoping not to be seen
- >Suddenly, the doors barge open, and you hear ponies gasping
- >"P-princess?"
- >Your heart skips a beat
- >There aren't any other princesses you're not aware of, are there?
- >"Anon!"
- "Fuck, fuck, fuck!"
- >You curse silently to yourself, slipping out of your seat and trying to stay hidden
- >You can't see what's going on in the front
- >You stay down, hoping she won't find you
- >Your hopes are dashed as you feel a tug on your ear
- "Aaah, ow!"
- >"I can't believe you, Anon. And after I put so much trust in you, too!"
- >"Not only are you far too young to be watching a film like this, but you also broke the law by sneaking in here!"
- "Too young? I'm like thirty ye- aaah!"
- >She pulls on your ear with her magic again, dragging you out into the walkway
- >"I don't want to hear any of your excuses, you know better than this!"
- >"Now I'm glad I put that tracking spell on you."
- >So that's what that was. Shit
- >"I thought I was overreacting. I thought I would come down here and find you right where you should be, and feel bad for doubting you... But I guess I was wrong."
- >She pulls again, harder, as she leads you down the walkway
- "Ow! T-twilight, you're hurting me!"
- >"You're hurting me too, Anon... I trusted you..."
- >Tears fill your eyes, both from the pain in your ear, and from Twilights tirade
- >You can clearly hear the sadness in her voice, and can't help but feel like shit
- >"But now I know better... You won't be allowed to do anything like this for a long time, and I am going to keep a closer eye on you from now on."
- >"It's going to take a lot of work to get me to trust you like this again."
- "I-I'm sorry..."
- >Damn, you actually mean it
- >"You're going to have to prove that to me, Anon."
- >She pulls you out through the front of the theater, past the ticket salespony
- >She has a look of terror in her eyes
- >"Oh my, P-princess! I'm sorry, I should have known better than to let her in on her own!"
- >"No, don't worry. I'm the one who should have known better..."
- >That comment felt like a knife to your heart
- >You have never felt this bad about breaking someone's trust in your life
- >She lets go of your ear, and you both walk silently home
- >You cry the whole way, regretting every choice you made today
