Third script already?! Damn, I'm on a roll! All of my scripts so far have been personal, but this is kind of a new level or at least I try to make it that way. I've struggled with anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts most of my life and it's hard to go through life not having someone there to comfort you most of the time. I'm not saying this as a pity party for being single, I'm just saying that it's hard to live life when not a lot of people understand me emotionally. So, I thought I'd give life to something that brings comfort so hopefully, it won't be so bad.

You're playing as a concerned boyfriend. Your girlfriend has been acting strange, but you haven't pressed it because you didn't know how she'd react. However, at this point, things escalate. You're scared at first of what's going on, but immediately you take over to comfort her and be there for her in the ways she needs most.

(continuous ringing tone, she's not picking up the phone)
[concerned, but try to hide it] Hi honey, it's me. I thought we could go out for dinner tonight and just get out. You and me. We haven't done it in a while and I thought you'd really like that.

[pause]

[concerned] I'll...um...anyway...I'll see you when I get home and we can plan something. Maybe go dancing too? I know you'd been wanting to do that...

[nervous] anyway, I love you and I'll be home in about 10 minutes.

(hanging up the phone)

[talking to yourself] Okay, calm down. Calm. Down. She's fine, she has to be. Maybe she was just in the shower or something and couldn't hear the phone...she'll call me back.

[pause]

[concerned] She's not going to call me back, I've already called her three times today. That's why I'm leaving work early. She's been acting unlike herself all week. I've noticed she hasn't eaten much for dinner...she'll just fumble with the food on her plate or only take a few small bites. She says she's been having bigger lunches throughout the week and is too full for dinner, but when we're in bed I hear her stomach growling.

[sigh] She's been going to bed a lot earlier too. Now that I think on it, her eyes have looked sunken for a while, like she's not getting enough sleep. It's almost like she can't sleep...like something is keeping her up.

[frustrated sigh. Emotional] How could I be so stupid? How could I just let this go on for days and not say anything? What kind of man am I to leave her to feel this way? Something is wrong and I need to get to her. I have to make sure she's ok

[pause]

(footsteps, jingle of keys to unlock the front door)

[muffled, behind the door] Sweetheart? Sweetheart, I'm home.

[you walk through the door and realize the house feels cold. You're really concerned now] Hey? Where are you, honey?

(walking through the house, add panicked breathing if you'd like) Sweetheart! Answer me!

[gasp] I heard a whimper...the bedroom

(fumble with the door handle)

[whisper] Locked? But...we never lock the bedroom door...oh God...no, no, no, no, no.

[shakey] Love, it's me....it's me, baby...honey, I need you to open the door.

[emotional] Please, sweetheart, you're scaring me.

[pause]

(door opening)

[soft sigh of relief] Baby...baby, you look awful...why is the bedroom so dark? Have you gotten out of bed at all today?

[she doesn't answer you as she tries to walk back to bed] No, you're not going back to bed. Come here.

[pause]

[whisper] I've got you in my arms now. We're not going anywhere, you're safe, sweetheart.

[sadly] Honey, why won't you look at me? Darling, what is it?

[whisper] I'm going to frame your face so you're looking in my eyes, ok? I want to look at you.

[pause]

Oh, love. The light in your eyes is fading...your skin is so cold...you look on the brink of death...

[emotional] Honey, please talk to me. What's going on? This isn't like you and it's scaring me.

[pause]

You can barely stand. So, I guess you haven't been eating either then, huh?

[whisper] Let me kiss you on the forehead and get you in bed. Then I can properly hold you (soft kiss)

[pause]

(rustle of the bed)

[gasp] Honey! Honey, it's all right...shhh...shhhh...hold on as tight as you'd like, sweetheart. I'm not going anywhere...

[pause]

[whisper] Just hold on, sweetheart. I'm here...I'm here. It's all right.

[pause]

[whisper] Let my fingers through your hair calm you, sweet one. There...shhhh....shhh...

[pause]

Let me bring you closer to my chest...rest my chin on top of your head. There, thaat's it.

[whisper] Feel my lips on your forehead (a few kissing noises) my arms tight around your body...you're safe. You're protected.

[breathless sigh] It's all right...it's all right...you're with me now.

[pause for a while maybe 10-15 seconds]

[shocked, shakey] Wha-what did you just say? No...no, I need you to repeat that.

[Emotional, begin to cry] Honey...honey don't say things like that. Don't say you want to die.

No, you don't honey. No, you don't.

[Emotionally breathless] I'll hold you in my arms for the rest of my life if that's what it takes for you not to do that, love. I'm not letting you go...never

[emotional breakdown, you both cry and have a moment for a while]

[pause]

Oh, my darling. I'm so sorry I didn't know you felt this way. What happened? Did I do something?

Well, if I didn't do something, what is it then?

[pause]

[whisper] I'm going to frame your face so I can look into your eyes, ok?

[pause]

Listen to me, clearly, darling. NOTHING you tell me is going to make me leave, ok? Nothing you tell me is going to make me think less of you. I'm here to listen and I'm here to help. You are never a burden to me nor are you going to scare me away. I promise.

[pause for 10-15 seconds. Create dramatic effect]

[whisper] Oh, oh God...

[pause]

[sharply, but gentle] Don't you look away, look at me.

[soft, gentle] Look at me.

Listen to me. You have many choices in this life, darling, but that is not a choice you can make, all right? That is NEVER a choice you can make. Do you understand me?

[pause]

[emotional, cry if you'd like]

[pause for a while. She's telling you what she's going through 20-30 seconds]

I'm not a professional by any means, but I can tell you what I know. I know that I love you. You have been through so much and lived. You have SURVIVED, my love, and you're still here. Be proud of yourself for that. Be proud that you've fought so well. Don't stop now. You can always have an opportunity to win and celebrate in the victory.

[intently] Yes, I know life isn't fair. Yes, I know it can be overwhelming sometimes, but if you just take a moment to stop and breathe, you'll be able to look behind you and see how far you've come. And my dear, you've come so far.
