  1. "I understand, ma'am. You can count on me, I won't talk about tis to anyone."
  2.
  3. The teenager's gaze fall onto one of the steel-beams answering the Neries' question with a slight nod. The green-lines staining upon his pale skin begin to emit a faint glow, vibrating and fuming with an emerald musk. Ruhiel moves forward and lifts the steel-beam with ease, doing what Iosefka asked him.
  4.
  5. Ruhiel holds it vertically, making sure to be lined up with the markings while keeping it straight. The Oscuri holds it firmly, not moving an inch.
  6.
  7. (Ruhiel)
  8.
  9. ** You spot
  10. Ruhiel nearby! [Click to pursue] **
  11. Iosefka kneels down in the sand next to the platform once Ruhiel puts it in place, and energy sparks from her torch as she begins to slowly weld the massive beam to the rest of the contraption. Steel melts easily against the pure heat, infusing the ensemble with her mana.
  12.
  13. "Generally speaking," She'd say over the hiss of the energy jet. "A lot of my work tends to fall into more unconventional fields. A lot of textile work, a lot of botany, chemistry, etcetera. Not alchemy, of course, but basic metal composites and mana infusion. My species kind of lends itself to that, you know?"
  14.
  15. Idle smalltalk, as she continues to weld. When she finally feels like it was set in place enough, she'd take a few bolts from her bag and line them up against the lip of the beam, facing downwards. She places a small tube overhead, air-tight, lining up the strange simple tool. The mask is lifted as she examines thepositioning of the bolt.
  16.
  17. She wipes her brow with her forearm before continuing.
  18.
  19. "But ever since I met the Archon Illaron, and learned of his work with the Accursed, I've been curious. Why couldn't I do that?" Her palm presses against the tube containing the bolt, and with what sounds like a gunshot, a spark of energy flashes from around her palm. It sizzles. When she removes her hand, the bolt was shot cleanly through the steel beam, affixing it in place.
  20.
  21. "Make new life, I mean. The unconventional way, I mean. I'm already a mother of four, you know. Hoohoo~!"
  22.
  23. She gestures to the platform.
  24.
  25. "Stand in the middle, please."
  26. (Iosefka Coza)

  29.
  30. Silent, Ruhiel makes sure to keep the steel-beam in place making sure to use all the strength he had so it wouldn't move. The Oscuri wanted it to be as clean as possible. His emerald-hues fall onto the Neries watching her fixing the pieces of metal together. A tear of stear rolls from his forehead probably due to the sheer heat used to melt the steel, he's a little worried-- he doesn't want his skin burnt afterall.
  31.
  32. But the Neries manages to wipe out his doubts with some smalltalk, keeping Ruhi's mind busy. "Quite interesting to know, I thought your job was involving around bending metal to create some pieces of armor or weapons, I didn't know it could be used in different fields.
  33.
  34. There's a slight pause, a slight twitch when the Neries mention the word Archon. He knew nothing from Illaron but he had heard about the infamous Accurseds, there weren't many of them around anymore. Once it is all fixed together, Ruhiel's hands release the steal beam … slightly raising his chin upwards, making sure it wasn't moving. Seems fine! Naturally, Ruhi shifts his attention back onto the Neries, clearly intrigued.
  35.
  36. "Bah, seems like someone wants an even bigger family. Congratulations for your four children by the wayer! Aye. Wonder if I'll be that sucessful, if I have ever reach adulthood that is." A chuckle escapes his lips.
  37.
  38. His gaze follows the Neries' hand gesturing towards the platform. He nods and moves forward to stand in the middle of the platform.
  39. (Ruhiel)
  40.
  41. Iosefka dusts off her hands before grabbing a piece of white chalk and a long ruler, after putting away the kit and mask. Now that Ruhiel was on the platform, perhaps he'd see from his perspective what she was up to now. Slowly, she'd begin to measure from the outer circumference to where Ruhiel stood, marking half of a foot away from the circumference at first before continuing.
  42.
  43. Then, she'd do the same from the steel beam she had just finished attaching, marking it with chalk and measuring the distance from where it stuck out to the center where Ruhiel was standing. But then there came the problem with height, and Iosefka would then begin to mark the steel beam vertically, making her way to around where Ruhiel's height petered out.
  44.
  45. He was a bit shorter than she had liked... So a few more inches were added to the top.
  46.
  47. "... Not so much a family, no," She murmurs to herself. "No one else really gets to say they 'created life'. Don't get to say they brought something into being. Call that 'playing God', but..."
  48.
  49. She sniffs, gesturing to Ruhiel that he could get off the platform now.
  50.
  51. "Nothing wrong with exploring new avenues of invention. I mean. Making a person is just like making armor, right?" She tosses the chalk back into the bag and pulls out her Codex, marking down the measurements of the platform and with Ruhiel atop it. So far so good.
  52.
  53. "Thanks for the help, Ruhi. Let's get back up above ground."
  54. (Iosefka Coza)
