  1. [21:45:23] The storm was instantaneous, as the woman emerged from the Trystle Caverns. The immense depravity that suddenly surged across Cinderfall was tangible in the air; and suddenly it felt like the entire world was out to consume everything and everyone. It was an astounding amount of presence that she commanded, and the guards that immediately surrounded her quaked with fear.
  2.
  3. This was not an unfamiliar face for the members of the Eternal Flame. This was a known monster, in the disguise of a young child - Rin Malpercius, aptly named 'The Devourer'. She had been forced out of the Trystle Caverns before, but only after having eaten dozens of soldiers alive, and besting several of Cinderfall's champions in combat.
  4.
  5. What in Kraus' name wasa figure like her doing, strolling so calmly into the city?
  6. (Rin)
  7. [21:49:39] It came across him and made the very hairs on the nape of his neck stand about. It wasn't a feeling he'd felt before, but this unease wasn't enough to ignore. The enigma had been quietly enjoying his book before Rin had come strolling into the city, and with her arrival came a feeling of intense dread that he was unable to shake.
  8.
  9. She came into view and stepped just past him; good. It wasn't like he wanted to be in this girl's sights. Rin's overall presence was unnverving, and the inquisitive hunter slowly huffed himself to his feet and wrapped a hand cautiously around the hilt of his oversized sword. There was a silence that befell him for a moment as his icey pale blue gaze ran itself across Rin's form.
  10.
  11. He couldn't help but feel a turning in his stomach as he looked at her, like something utterly terrible was about to happen.
  12. (Silas)
  13. [21:53:04] "I don't want you to understand, mom." Vivica turned away from the woman. It wasn't fear towards her much more serious disposition, but the fact that Raja suffer enough within the city, even striking the girl would bring him ire from Batkem and Ciel...
  14.
  15. It was just best to be avoided. And in the very moment Vivica was to speak again to attempt changing the subject, a horrific, depraved feeling flooded the atmosphere of the city.
  16.
  17. Silver eyes of the girl peered around the side of the building. A monstrosity had approached that rendered guards fearful for their lives. This wasn't a new feeling to the child who once resided in Loranthis long ago and even she recognized Rin from their brief encounter.
  18.
  19. Perhaps Rin could recognize Vivica herself. The little girl broke free from Batkem's embrace and rose from the ground, eyeing each individual on standby. Why was she here? Vivica squinted and placed a hand at the hilt of her dagger, but didn't make a move.
  20.
  21. A daring thing for the child to do, but it was instinctive. This was a malpercian, a depraved being whose presence enabled fear and while Vivica herself felt that, she didn't show it. All she currently did was stood before the Malpercian, staring at her.
  22. (Vivica Loirdne)
  23. [21:55:37] Sirus walked out of Licht Solais Keep with a disgruntled look on his face. Someone had sent him a very mysterious parchment. Unsigned, odd handwriting, and more. Just who was it from? It was quite bothersome that the sender of the letter wanted to meet Sirus in the swamps... which was New Alteros territory. He sent a response back saying to come to Cinderfall with the Inferno's Medallion in hand to prove that whoever the sender was would be under Sirus' watch.
  24.
  25. The problem? He was about to see who the sender probably was...
  26.
  27. As he walked towards the square, there seemed to be quite the commotion. People trying to get away, guardsmen leaving posts, they were all trying to get away from this one spot. Curious, he walked towards the source of the panic. Only to see a sight that made his stomach sink.
  28.
  29. "You..." Was all Sirus said as he stared at Rin. The purple hair, the threatening aura, the oozing depravity. She was the one who tried to attack Sirus' kids years past. She was the one who contributed to the foilation of Nashandra's assassination, she was the one who had ruled the Yokai citadel. Why was she here?!
  30.
  31. Then it hit Sirus. The letter...
  32.
  33. "YOU WERE THE SENDER OF THAT LETTER?!" He barked towards the walking depravity bomb. He drew out his greatsword and pointed it at Rin. "Medallian or not, state the reason why you sent that or I will cut you down where you stand!"
  34.
  35. In the back of Sirus' head, he fucked up. However this would provide an opportunity to put down a threat to Valmasia.
  36. (Sirus Blackmane)
  37. [21:59:02] Aliera frowned as the figure strode through the square(?), an ominous atmosphere building with each step they made. Glancing about, she could tell she was not alone in her concerns. This relieved her to a point, as the young dragonkin was unused to such feelings of trepidation. Perhaps this was not the best day to begin her adventures after all...?
  38. (Aliera)
  39. [21:59:53] Zain Rainfold Azar whispers something.
  40. [21:59:53] As she sat with her daughter, hoping to discover what sort of physical trauma that drakanite had inflicted upon this beacon of light and hope within her life, a sudden cacophony of sensations washed over her. First, the overwhelming feeling of depravity as grass simply killed over, the spriggan taking in the emotion of dread from all nearby plant life. With this empathy of hers came sorrow.
  41.
  42. But second came duty. The duty of the spirit which had bound itself to her. Batkem did not know Rin, she did not know that she was a necromancer, nor an undead. But The Warden did. Slowly, the woman rose to a stand, a staff of sunflower rising seemingly from the ground to enter her hand.
  43.
  44. As she turned the corner to face the woman, her eye sockets began to glow with a frighteningly ethereal blue aura, while the faint sight of black robes shadowed over her just vaguely. The power of the warden, the power to slay foul creatures such as the one before her.
  45.
  46. "Today is the day you die," she states outright. There was no mercy, no chance for her to flee. No, Batkem had sacrificed ten years of her life for this. It was time to fight.
  47. (Batkem Loirdne)
  48. [22:01:36] Sirus Blackmane had come from the keep just north of their current position. Silas had his back to the man and was watching Rin from behind, beneath the overhanging branches of the great oak tree in the center of town. The hunter's grasp remained firm to the hilt of his gargantuan blade, like a calculating predator who's pack was only now beginning to circle it's prey. It became obvious now that this woman was indeed a threat to the greater safety of Cinderfall. As much as Silas felt a level of disconnection from those that lived here, this was his home. Those he did hold dear all lived here and he'd be damned if he wasn't ready to help defend it.
  49.
  50. As Sirus began making his cries out to the sickening presence, the hunter slowly began to circle round toward the back of the girl, Rin. He was no formidable warrior in comparison to some, but his tactical placement and martial knowledge were not short of adept. He'd slowly circle behind, dragging his blade as Batkem takes point and stares the girl down.
  51.
  52. The enigma came to a halt in the back and rested his blade on one shoulder. Now he was ready, and there'd be little to no chance of him being caught off-guard. For now, he'd wait for either an oppurtune time to strike, or the conclusion of this encounter.
  53. (Silas)
  54. [22:08:25]Conversing with her husband, a sudden wiggle of her cloak pocket as Aeia would arise, clearly shaken and concerned. Standing straight up to lead the three out and into the midst of Cinderfall.
  55.
  56. There was this black hole in the lifestream, unnatural and horrifying. Appraoched with the overwhelming stench of.. death, causing Leila to cover her own nose as they approached the crowd. Seeing for the first, the person who had left the scent trail from Zain's fight in the cave's, Rin.
  57.
  58. Why if all time's would they come here? She would whisper to Zain as she'd see Batkem appraoch them. Hoping they would at least let them talk but it seemed everyone was set on ridding the person. Aeia stayed inside Leila pocket, her eyes staying on Rin, unwavered and completely frozen.
  59.
  60. (Leila Rainfold-Azar)
  61. [22:09:16] Moshi was lying flat on his belly, idly picking blades of grass as he awaited his interview with the Firekeeper. It seemed that grass picking was slowly becoming his favorite hobby... It kept him busy, calm, and was a great way to pass the time.
  62.
  63. Sadly, that just wouldn't be enough to keep him sane in the face of the beast to come.
  64.
  65. The suffocating wave of depravity hit him head own, forcing him to literally stop everything he was doing. He could practically feel his brain rattle and shake as the vile energies gnawed at his mind, reducing him to a helpless state. He could have never been ready for anything like this. Never once in his life had he been subject to so much Corruption, especially at once, but he couldn't be blame for this. He lived a sheltered life in a safe town, living out his under the watchful eye of the Eternal Flame. Or, at least, it was safe up until now.
  66.
  67. The boy's mouth hung open, drool seeping out of the corners of his mouth. His eyes bulged in their sockets and, no matter how much he wanted to jump to his feet and run, scream until his lungs burn, or cover his eyes and hide under his sheets, he was frozen. Fear had litterally paralyzed him. He couldn't even turn his head away from the ground, but he knew the menacing prescence of whoever had caused such a stirr in town was still there, just a few feet away from him...
  68.
  69. He was utterly terrified and there wasn't a single thing he could do about it.
  70. (Moshi Leradine)
  71. [22:10:08] Aliera blinks a few times in surprise at the various accusations and battlecries, and makes her way to the other side of the well, ensuring it's stone walls are between her and the ensuing battle. Not that she's concerned about it, of course not. She's an adventurer now, and on her own. She's fearless!
  72. (Aliera)
  73. [22:15:15] Rin indeed held a medallion in her human hand, up for all to behold. "No. Today is not the day I die. You're a bit late to the party on that." Rin would giggle, her eyes falling upon the Spriggan woman. Everyone knew what the medallion was; a symbol of guaranteed safe passage under the promise of the Firekeeper. Admittedly, Sirus hadn't quite anticipated it would be Rin on the other end of that message, but... He had still supplied the token in the end.
  74.
  75. From her right arm, unfurled many tentacles, the Malpercian limb spreading into the air defensively. Eyes sprouted, watching each and every person that hand surrounded her, from innumerable angles. The Eldritch appendage seemed abnormally powerful, even when considering the exact level of might this Malpercian seemed to wield.
  76.
  77. "I've come to discuss the destruction of New Alteros and the death of it's necromancers. I request nothing of yours in return. No service or loyalty. In fact, if you should decide you still desire to slay me, then so be it - I will gladly meet your force in combat. But today? Today darlings, I am not here to eat you all..."
  78.
  79. Her body seemed to wiggle strangely. It moved in a direction that had no name. "You see, New Alteros recently has made me very upset. Upset enough that I would come here, seeking the aide of the members of this... Disgustingly cheery city." Her violet eyes would fall upon Sirus in particular, as she smiled widely. "I suspect this would be a matter to discuss over tea, yes? Oh, and, you did give me your word that I wouldn't be attacked - No matter my identity."
  80.
  81. She shrugged then. "But then again I hear such promises as peace meetings and alliances often end in someone dead don't they? After all, that's how Maria Shateiel died, isn't it? All noble intentions wiped away despite the promise of safety."
  82. (Rin)
  83. {NARRATION} In the presence a Warden contracted to Batkem, Rin feels an oppressive energy pulsating off of the Spriggan. An antithesis to depravity--her instincts telling her that a predator was watching.
  84. [22:22:56] Sirus tightened the hilt of his blade. Mumurs from the nearby crowds were talking about the medallion in particular. Had Sirus purposefully invited this monster into the settlement? Depending on how one would look at it, it was technically a yes and no. He wanted to know who sent the cryptic message and demanded them to come to Cinderfall. Yet... he didn't know that it would be Rin, someone that the Inferno had incredibly detested.
  85.
  86. What Rin said was true in regards to her diplomatic immunity... However she nearly squandered her chance at walking out of here when she brought up Maria Shateiel. This popped a nerve in Sirus head... his memories flashing to that fateful day of Ryan Kyros decapitating Maria in front of his face 15 years ago.
  87.
  88. "You... you bitch.... How do you know of that day...?" Sirus clearly wasn't impressed. In fact, far from it. He wanted nothing more but to cleave the malpercian in half and call it a day, a victory even. However she had the mark of the Inferno on her. Cutting her down would place him on the same pedestal as Ryan in terms of honor.
  89.
  90. Clearly, the man was in quite a moral dillema.
  91. (Sirus Blackmane)
  92. [22:31:28] Eyes glanced to each higher up or citizen approaching to surround the undead malpercian. Vivica was aware of the woman's presence back in Loranthis, but nothing more than that one moment she had seen Nashandra speak with her.
  93.
  94. Attentively Vivica listened to the adults converse after Batkem's formed changed to showcase dark robes. Vivica squinted, but didn't mind the sight for now as she stood near the woman's side before the monstrosity.
  95.
  96. To fight the depraved was what this city had been about and throughout time, she learned that they could be redeemed by death, or by giving up what it had been that made them depraved.
  97.
  98. In this case? Perhaps Rin would come to pass on. Though Vivica kept her eyes opened, ears listening, and paid close attention to learn and experience, she took out her dagger and held it at her side.
  99.
  100. No words by the girl were spoken. But still she simply watched like Ciel wanted her to do. For the experience and to learn.
  101. (Vivica Loirdne)
  102. [22:32:19] This was getting heated indeed. How troublesome. Silas wasn't often one to meddle in conflicts that weren't his own, but this woman's presence was sickening to his very core and he felt almost compelled to take point behind her and aid his fellow townspeople. Though the people of Cinderfall rarely paid him mind or stepped forward for conversation, he still held a great deal of respect for their ideals and their acceptance of him.
  103.
  104. Yes, this anomaly was playing sick games with those around the town centre, and with her arrival came the need to steel themselves for combat. Given the tension of the conversation between Rin, Sirus and Batkem, this could pop off at any time and he wasn't about to stand idly by and watch the town get torn apart or a magi killed.
  105.
  106. It had been taunting Sirus somewhat, and the man's clear frustration was a good indication that negotiations might be turning sour soon. But alas, he would have to respect the diplomacy for the minute, as these references to the past were not something he understood completely.
  107.
  108. As the three came to circle in more and more on Rin, the hunter would tighten the grip on his oversized blade and rest it against the grass behind him, one arm beginning to manifest small particles of blood that swirled up his arm, forming tendrils. As they wrapped about the man's upper bicep, his icey pale blue gaze would cut directly through Rin's back. This eldritch being was something worthy of study, but of course, no was not the time. This was the first time that SIlas had come across something of the sort, something so... so benevolent. He literally felt her presence.
  109.
  110. Yes, this morming was turning out to be far more interesting than initially percieved.
  111. (Silas)
  112. [22:32:19] Talk about absolutely terrifying!
  113.
  114. The non-magi was crouched behind a nearby well, peaking over the edge of it to stare at a weird showdown of the 'Good, The Bad, and the Ugly'. Although the ugly didn't seem present, as terrifying as Rin was, she was also itty bitty, and kind of adawable in a horrible OH MY LORD DONT KILL ME sort've way. Her fingers gripping at the sides of the stone as jade eyes watched the confrontation with.. Utter terror! What was a non-magi to do but stare!
  115.
  116. Stare and feel incredibly hungry... Like wanting an early morning snack- something desperately unhealthy at that. Like icecream, chocolate, burgers, or just a cheesy greasy dish that'd clog the arteries and give someone a heart attack!
  117.
  118. A peculiar way for the non-magi to be slightly influenced by a very potent sin magi being so close. Yet she stays in her cowardly position, hunched over and watching- trying to comprehend the mixed emotions of 'Wanting a delicious cheeseburger with extra mayo and ketchup' with the 'Oh my KRAUS IT'S GOING TO EAT ME ISN'T IT'.
  119.
  120. Practically wishing to screech in terror yet keeping her mouth tight lipped, the teen was sweating up a storm. Maybe she shouldn't have worn a sweater when a walking mini abomination was waddling into town.
  121. (Ivisha)
  122. [22:40:00] Emrys had not realized that today would be the day he died. He had awoken on this day just as any other, and come into the city to see if he could earn a small meal for himself with his music. He could not have known that today would be so unlike any other. Yet when the strings of his instrument all snapped in quick succession, and the wood of the body warped and twisted in the onslaught of this strange woman's sickening aura. The initial pain from the strings whipping around to strike at his face and arms caused an initial yelp, but the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, the tension of prey suddenly aware that something is lethally wrong. His eyes widened, and he slumped to the ground by the well, cradling his unusable and irreparable instrument.
  123. (Emrys)
  124. [22:40:51] A medallion was shown up for her to spot. Maybe everyone was supposed to know, but Batkem didn't. Her sockets, simply auras of ethereal blue mana, shot over to view Sirus's reaction. Apparently the medallion meant something, enough to hold him back from slaying Rin on the spot.
  125.
  126. But could a simple medallion stop Batkem, a devoted Krausite, a spriggan who was literally harmed by depravity, and a spirit conjurer currently under the influence of a Warden whose sole purpose was to slay creatures like her? Not in the slightest. Anyone who got in her way now would be beaten aside; it was out of her character, but it was what would happen. She would make it clear, too.
  127.
  128. "Stay out of my way."
  129.
  130. Without another pause, cosmic energies gathered at the center of her sunflower to shoot out in a slender beam, striking through the air to collide right into the medallion, immediately incinerating it. It looks like Sirus wouldn't have to worry about his honor anymore.
  131. (Batkem Loirdne)
  132. [22:43:24]Everyone, everything was getting out of control and Sirus was stunned for the most part as he is self-conflicted. She needed to do something about this before thing's would get way out of hand. Quickly stepping in between Rin and Batkem, looking to the Spriggan with a firm stance. "Let the higher up deal with this. As Champion I'm ordering you step down, any further actions to engage in a fight with Rin, will result in consequence's.".
  133.
  134. Of course, as close as she was to Rin, her nerve's hit at the mention of Maria, she wanted her gone. She needed an explanation from Sirus and Liara but for once she's standing up and making herself heard amonst the guild. She needed to calm thing's down, a glance would be made to Sirus, a rather serious expression, which said something coming from Leila.
  135.
  136. (Leila Rainfold-Azar)
  137. [22:46:49] Oh boy howdy, things were starting to get riled up! Especially with the entire strange clusterfuck going on! But when the Krausite Priest went ahead and showed her distaste, the non-magi managed to waddle and trip out of her hiding spot, right she had no weapon- quick thinking Ivi, quick thinking! Aha! She'd reach out for a nearby gardeners shovel and whip it up defensively, giving off her 'rawr' face. She looked about as threatening as a marshmellow on a skewer.
  138.
  139. "Yy-Yeah let's.. L-Llet's show 'em whose boss!"
  140.
  141. She'd say with a small swing of her shovel against the open air, nearly tripping over her own two feet. However, it wasn't like someone was going to actually try and stop her from fighting- to do that, they'd have to knock the daylights outta the girl!
  142.
  143. ... Considering how she had no magic, looked as thin as a twig, and was likely unnoticable until her high pitched annoying screeching of a voice met other peoples ears. That likely wasn't going to be too challenging. The non magi stepping besides Batkem and awkwardly fumbling over her own two feet. She had no idea what she was doing, at all.
  144. (Ivisha)
  145. [22:50:14] Things were getting heated now, that was for damn sure. As the groups began to home in on the problem, that problem being Rin. Silas was looking about the various people in the market.
  146.
  147. His pale blue eyes shot like daggers from beneath the cover of his tricorn hat, and with a grunt he stepped forward some more, sword in hand. He needed to keep his wits about him, the goal here was to help. He knew he wasn't the hero of this story, but he had to play his part regardless. The aim here wasn't to kill Rin, but in the unlikely event of a full-blown conflict blowing open right now, he needed to maintain composure. If any of the townsfolk come under attack from this girl, he'd need to step in and at least try to get them out of harms way.
  148.
  149. That was when the girl Ivisha stepped out, rather valiantly. Her cry for battle and swinging of her shovel was enough to crack a smile on even Silas' more sombre of faces.
  150. (Silas)
  151. [22:51:05] Vivica could tell by her mother's expressions, the seriousness in her voice, and the overwhelming depravity oozing from the malpercian that this was all with deadly intent; she knew nothing was going to stop Batkem from attacking the malpercian.
  152.
  153. Of course anyone who decided to stand in Batkem's way, Vivica would fight alongside her. She too wanted to rid the world of depravity. Once from a fighter in Loranthis, now a civilian of Cinderfall, this was her duty, especially when it involved a monstrosity like Rin.
  154.
  155. Leila's blockage to the malpercian had let the ookami earn some of the little girl's ire, but while she didn't dare express that, Vivica remained at Batkem's side, watching the reactions to those around....
  156. (Vivica Loirdne)
  157. [22:52:48] Without warning, Leila would jump forward, soon throwing out orders to Batkem. At first, he wanted to stop Leila. He at first thought that she didn't know what she was getting into. However, he changed his mind for two reasons. One, this would boost her self-confidence. Two, she was indeed right. She and him held authority over Batkem. No more of those outside of the champions and leaders acting on their own accord.
  158.
  159. He would soon go to Leila's side. "Not that I am defending them... Hell, we nearly killed each other in our previous battle... But this is not your authority to act on. I follow Leila's statement, and allow Sirus and those he chooses to deal with this. Sure, maybe it sounds dumb, but it's Sirus' choice over ours."
  160.
  161. Zain would stand next to Leila, and nod to her. "So please." He would keep by her side, as he would keep his eyes on Batkem.
  162. (Zain Rainfold Azar)
  163. [22:57:04] The bronzed Drakanite will watch from the sidelines. Yelling loudly as he pumps his fist into the air, glareing at the two defending the undead person.
  164.
  165. "Kill the Giant purple people eater already! BY RYUJIN WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING HER!!!!! PEople be crazy I tell you! GET HER SHOVEL GIRL!!!! RAWR RAWR FIGHT THE POWER!!!"
  166.
  167. He is egging the fight on, and eating an orange as his teeth flash on the flesh of the orange.
  168. (Éadmód Hilyard)
  169. [23:01:20] Sirus tightened the grip on his hilt even harder. With Batkem destroying the medallion with a precise strike on top of Zain and Leila getting inbetween Batkem and Rin, he had to make a call. After a moment, the nearby crowds grew restless as they all chanted for Rin's demise. Well... Sirus had to make the logical call.
  170.
  171. "You no longer have the medallion, Rin..." There was a time and place for everything but honor to a malpercian? What a silly idea now that Sirus thought about it. "As the Inferno of Cinderfall, I order any able-bodied soldier to take down that monstrosity! Cinderfall will make a stand against depravity and this will be a statement!"
  172.
  173. He pointed his greatsword at Rin. "We do not make deals with the damned." He would bark his official order to the rest of the Eternal Flame members standing nearby.
  174.
  175. "Kill her."
  176. (Sirus Blackmane)
  177. [23:03:02] Aliera: But she's asked for help...
  178. [23:03:53] Sirus Blackmane: We've accepted help from shady figures in the past. We're not going down that road again.
  179. [23:03:53] The words had come out. Although he was no member of the Eternal Flame, he did hold allegiance to Cinderfall, and that mean't he would defend it as such.
  180.
  181. The enigma swings the blade high into the air and maintains a steady stance, etching it out towards Rin's back and taking the point at her six, ready to close in and deal damage if need be. His strategy at the minute relied on the competence of the other fighters. He'd need to pick and choose his attacks, due to the large number of fighters and the likelihood of wiping eachother out with attacks.
  182. (Silas)
  183. [23:03:53] Leila Rainfold-Azar: <*Remember's vox*>
  184. [23:05:36] It was astounding. The fae magi had come to protect the undead, necromancer sin malpercian. And alongside, Zain. Two champions of Cinderfall had come to defend her. "Authority?" the woman repeats in an almost mocking manner, her mind clearly not exactly where it typically was. With this possession, she was different. "This is an abomination that must be slain. I warned you to get out of my way."
  185.
  186. But thankfully, Sirus stepped forward and just barely managed to salvage the respect Batkem had lost in the city. By Kraus, if he hadn't made that choice, then fate would have taken a much different flow.
  187.
  188. Her sunflower staff rose, the ethereal image of a great blade surrounding it as she called attention to herself. "No, that is dishonorable. I will face this beast alone."
  189. (Batkem Loirdne)
  190. [23:05:36] Frowns rather deeply, and makes her way from behind the well, joining the crowd at large. If someone so seemingly powerful needs aid, it seemed cause for concern. What if those she sought aid against came to attack the city?
  191. (Aliera)
  192. [23:06:27] Leila had stepped in and Zain had stepped in. Vivica's eyes peered at the two and while she understood that they were giving orders to avoid an altercation like the one that had already been in process, Vivica wasn't going to hold back if Batkem should fight.
  193.
  194. Fighting alongside her mother and keeping Batkem safe was the girl's top priority before slaying the depraved malpercian. Fluids, purified, began to shroud Vivica's being. Lightning as well began to spark brightly --
  195.
  196. Clouds rolled in overhead the city that caused rain to drizzle along the masses around each being present. Sirus' orders for death was approved by the child. He wasn't an idiot like Liara.
  197.
  198. Either way, Vivica kept her eyes locked to Rin. Heat emitted from her body which caused steam to collect in a cloud like form around her all the while winds gently flowed along in the air.
  199.
  200. Batkem wanted to battle the monstrosity alone, however, therefore Vivica would step aside, but should anyone else get in the way, she'd join.
  201. (Vivica Loirdne)
  202. [23:06:27] With Shovel in hand, the small, miniscule non-magi teen.. With dreams of being some big time super hero, like Pyra or Sirus or Batkem or Leila or Zain or- well any of the higher ranking members of Cinderfall really! Her lips scrunched up, red in the face, puffed out cheeks as she let out a shrill war cry!
  203.
  204. It sounded more like a 'squeak' then an actual war cry as she stumbled forward, trying to force herself past Zain- which.. Most likely didn't work considering she was a non magi, and he wasn't- but either way she was holding up her shovel as high as she could into the air- nearly toppling over in the process and letting out a surprised yet annoyed yelp.
  205.
  206. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
  207.
  208. It wasn't even a coherent war cry, you'd think she'd actually have something to say like 'For Cinderfall' or 'FOR THE LIGHT' or 'FOR KRAUS', but nah, she was just trying to nudge, push, and weakly shove her way past Zain to vainly swing a Shovel at someone that could likely.. Blow in her direction and cause her to fall over.
  209.
  210. Unnfortunately she didn't exactly hear the request for a one on one..
  211. (Ivisha)
  212. [23:06:27] "GO INFERNO!!! BETTER THAN FLAMEKEEPER BADTOUCH!! SIRUS FOR THE WIN! Even if he is not a drakanite and therefore not really cool at all. And Auntie says his kids are weird. BUT THAT IS BESIDES THE POINT! KILL THE UNDEAD!!! SHOW HER WHO'S BOSS!"
  213.
  214. He will cry out loudly, his fist pumping in the air, the green slitted eyes wide as he watches eagerly.
  215. (Éadmód Hilyard)
  216. [23:06:27] Silas: Might I suggest we take this away from the buildings and homes!?
  217. [23:06:27] Silas: We wouldn't want to make a mess of things!
  218. [23:06:27] Ivisha: *Continues to try and swing her shovel at RIn, probably badly*
  219. [23:07:18] Sirus Blackmane: Let Batkem fight Rin alone!
  220. [23:09:00] Batkem Loirdne: <*vine grabs little non magi and sets to cover!*>
  221. [23:09:00] Stands in the back watching the madness go on. Not really knowing what was happening, it was probably best to stay away. He'd drink a small jar of soup and keep an eye on the strange person standing in the back.
  222. (Brom Tybalt)
  223. [23:23:31] The initial shock and terror of this person's appearance gave way to other thoughts, especially since others seemed to be handling the threat. Swallowing down the instinctual fear Emrys looked down upon the warped and splintering remains of his instrument, and despite the aura of panic put off by this tentacle-armed monstrosity a deep rage began to build within his stomach at sight of his mangled music-making tool.
  224. (Emrys)
  225. [23:26:56] "Well, it seems negotiations have failed." Rin would giggle, as her petite figure began to pulsate with unfounded levels of depravity. She seemed to have transcended to a level beyond even Ryan Kyros in terms of the raw evil she emitted. It was hard to believe such a tiny being could be so diabolical; but there she was, proof that darkness could herald such perfect monstrosity.
  226.
  227. The pathetic little shovel attempted to cleave Rin's skull in...
  228.
  229. And it did.
  230.
  231. Or at least, her head split apart to reveal endless rows of teeth, some form of nightmarish death-machine that revealed it's inhuman nature only now. The split head would close in around the shovel, chewing upon it in an amorphous state, with disgusting, nerve-wracking crunches.
  232.
  233. The poor, brave little girl, was instantly demolished, flattened into the ground by a powerful blow from Rin's tentacles. Bones could be heard snapping, as the shovel disappeared into her maw. She burped daintily, as her human face formed back into place. The woman's tentacles would suddenly surge through the guards, rending their encirclement apart, seeking out the Magi.
  234.
  235. "I'm going to have one last meal." She gleefully spoke, acknowledging her impending doom, but no longer caring. She would kill as many as possible.
  236. (Rin)
  237. [23:29:29] regains enough control over his functions to at least manage to crawl away form the source of depravity in the town, just so he had an IC reason for being over here and still wasn't locked in fear paralysis.
  238. (Moshi Leradine)
  239. [23:31:12] Apparently her challenge of an honorable duel was rejected, but by her opponent. It was a shame that she couldn't test these abilities of hers, but the Warden's duty, and her own, would be satisfied regardless. With the power of the Overseer's chosen flowing through her, there was no way she would allow this woman to escape.
  240.
  241. Batkem held her staff forward, holy water flowing off of her frame as insects buzzed and light shined. She was an odd beacon of many different forces coalescing together.
  242. (Batkem Loirdne)
  243. [23:32:03] Well this is bad, the howling of the lifestream, the cries of pain, telling the people to run away, kill the cancer on Eternia, help me, stop the pain. Éadmód clutches at his head, shuddering in fear as Rin unleashes the full force of her depravity. The bronzed Drakanite backing away, dropping his orange on the ground as the masses who were watched flee in terror, leaving the magi and guards as the only ones there
  244. (Éadmód Hilyard)
  245. [23:32:03] Just like that, everything was kicking off.
  246.
  247. There was no time to waste, nope, no time at all. This had been the time to put his skills to the test. With a swift change of posture Silas slides into the posture of the Cetus Style. His large blade resting over one shoulder whilst he takes posture. This eldritch nightmare of indescribably gruesome description chilled him to the very core at the sight of it's ghastly transformation. There was nothing left of the woman who had once stood before them. It was almost maddening at the sight, but now was not the time to lose face.
  248.
  249. Swallowing hard and settling his gaze on Rin's exposed back. The silent enigma slowly begins to circle and adjust his positioning tactically for the ensuing battle. He'd need to rely on his speed to avoid her attacks at all costs. The others would do good at drawing the attention away from him, so it would buy him enough time to make essential dead eye hits to break the beast down. Yes, his reading was doing him good, so far. But no amount of reading in the world could match up to pure experience.
  250.
  251. The time was now, this would be the experience of a lifetime. So far, of course. If he gets out of this alive, no doubt will there be something to write about.
  252.
  253. "Right then."
  254. (Silas)
  255. [23:32:03] Thwack, Smash, Crunch, PULP
  256.
  257. Aha! Success! She was really tearing into the tiny little undead's frame- like mulching a.. Oh lord there was blood, dark, blackened blood and gore. It made her stomach churn as a bit splashed across her cheeks and her clothing- eyes widening in utter fright. Not because she was facing a monster, but because this was truly the first time she'd ever spelt blood, and seeing someones head split apart was absolutely terrifying and-
  258.
  259. THOSE WERE TEETH
  260.
  261. "A-..Ah--..AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
  262.
  263. It was an ear-splitting screech of absolute horror when Rin's head started to EAT the shovel she'd yoinked from the floor. Trying desperately to tug it out of that gaping maw- the nerve wracking crunches however caused her to fumble, the 'weapon' slipping from her hands and her face twisted with absolute horror. Paling, sweating, wide jade eyes with a 'ohno' sort've stare.
  264.
  265. CARUUNNCH
  266.
  267. She talk about one hitter quitter. It took but a single lash of the tentacle to mulch Ivi into the ground, leaving an indentation and a cry of pain- her eyes rolling back into her skull, a few ribs likely broken, an arm likely snapped and...
  268.
  269. She was out before the fight even began. The real fight at least.
  270. (Ivisha)
  271. [23:36:19] It had become rather appear by the words of Sirus that he had made his choice, that the malpercian was to be killed. He would turn to Rin, as soon, Batken wanted to them on her own. He would sigh, stepping aside. He had his chance at her back in the day, and he was content enough with sitting by.
  272.
  273. That would all change with the girl though, as she was smashed down, as the girl would scream out in pain. She was... horribly hurt. A great sense of anger would enter the eyes of Zain, as his blood boiled. He would narrow his eyes and grit his teeth as his wings would pop out.
  274.
  275. He drawed forward Tatsu, as he would soon be with the group around Rin. He would help, as they would to take down the Malpercian quickly, and with the least damage as possible.
  276. (Zain Rainfold Azar)
  277. [23:36:19] Sirus readied himself as the undead malpercian's tendrils suddenly shot out. This thing was not human, it was a monster that needed to be put down. The man grit his teeth as he watched Rin's head literally EAT the shovel. That was something he wasn't going to get out of his head for a while. However this was not going to inflict fear onto him. Actually, quite the opposite. He grew motivated.
  278.
  279. Monsters like these don't belong on Eternia's soil.
  280.
  281. "Slay th' bastard before it does too much damage an' gets our magi! Death to th' Malpercian! Death to th' undead! Death to th' Loranthian conspirator!" Flames and Wind flared up along his left prosthetic and snaked up to the tip of his Greatsword. The man had assumed the Ifrit's Claw technique followed by stancing himself in the legendary Ifrit's Stance.
  282.
  283. This was going to be a fight to take down a long-overdue threat!
  284. (Sirus Blackmane)
  285. [23:37:10] Vivica's ideals to protect the city, especially her mother, came into play after Rin had devoured a shovel. A disgusting expression and gaze had been given her way to watch a split head devour the tool before crushing another girl nearby into the ground.
  286.
  287. Exuded mana manipulated winds around Vivica's very form, blowing the air around rapidly into twisters that pulled in water, fire, and lightning form her form.
  288.
  289. Rain fell harder as well - pulled in from the sky as it was twisted and amalgamated with her other magics through the many whirlwinds formed around her. She held on tightly to her dagger.
  290.
  291. Standing at her mother's side, she was prepared to fight.
  292. (Vivica Loirdne)
  293. Leila did not favor how Batkem was deeming her to be the bad guy in this scenario when she only mean to calm things down enough for Sirus to choose. the order's given from Sirus causes her to step down and summon the rainbow shimmer of Fairy magic with Aeia fluttering over the Ookami.
  294.
  295. Though, Leila will not forget what had just occurred with Batkem and the destruction of the medallion, it was scummy, dishonorable even though it was from a disgusting creature like Rin. Sirus letting personal problems intrude on his decisions and acting on the destruction of the medallion.
  296.
  297. Unsheathing her gunblade to ready for the battle against the Malpercian, she didn't mind fighting, just hating that she was deemed doing the wrong in this situation to calm thing's, assuming the worse, the one thing Leila did not do.
  298. (Leila Rainfold-Azar)
  299. {NARRATION} The battle of the cinderfall square, the people of Cinderfall are going to take down the Malpercian Undead. Guards run forth to rush people away who are not fighting, leaving the battle to the magi.

  327. [23:49:58] {combat} Ivisha has been defeated by Zain Rainfold Azar! They're unable to continue fighting.
  328. [23:49:58] Aliera gets whisked away by the guards to the rooftop of the closest shop, a presumably 'safe' location as the entire town now appears to be battlefield. She watches those below keenly, rather transfixed as the battle plays out.
  329.
  330. Unfortunately it is not completely safe even here, and she winces away from the edge of the roof as the searing heat blazes up from the fighting below, though she quickly shakes it off. ...Aliera does not wince.
  331. (Aliera)
  332. [23:49:58] {combat} Silas has been defeated by Rin! They're unable to continue fighting.
  333. [23:49:58] {combat} Rin has been defeated by Vivica Loirdne! They're unable to continue fighting.
  334. [23:50:49] The battle is harsh, but the magi are going at it like crazy. The battle soon leaving the square. The young drakanite will take the opportunity to grab the downed girl, and drag her booty away. Éadmód dodging shots like crazy.
  335.
  336. "Bad Idea Bad IDea Bad IDea!!!!!"
  337. (Éadmód Hilyard)
  338. [23:52:32] Something most certainly was broken- something most certainly was bleeding!
  339.
  340. Was she even alive- Oh, yes she was breathing. Perhaps by some sort of foreign miracle. Her head lolled back and her eyes still rolled into her sockets. The young woman's turtleneck sweater was tattered with matted, wet blood. Red and leaving a crimson trail across the grass as she was saved by a tiny, little Drakanite boy.
  341.
  342. Perhaps there was some magi blood in there- after all she was somehow alive! And her vision was slowly coming back to her. Her eyelids fluttering- blood coughed from her lips. Gurgling noises were made in a groggy gesture before she falls flat back against the little safezone Eadmod had pulled her off too..
  343.
  344. Before she fell unconscious again. What a trooper!
  345. (Ivisha)
  346. [23:52:32] hugs his body close to the tiling of the roof, afraid to even peek his head out over the side. Stray beams were flying everywhere and it seemed like, at any moment, one could pop out and hit them all. This was far too much for him handle, especially all at once, but he had faith that the Flame would handle this situation.
  347.
  348. They had to. The fate of Cinderfall rested on their shoulders.
  349. (Moshi Leradine)
  350. [23:58:30] "AAAHHHHH CRAP I GOT BLOOD ON ME! Auntie is going to cane me like crazy. When she hears about this. WEll my hide is tanned. Lady come on don't die on me now y ou hear me? LIVE!"
  351.
  352. He will keep dragging her, probably not the smartest idea to do, but eventually he will get her to saftey. The bloody girl is dropped off as he starts patting her on the head. Trying to look for a guard.
  353.
  354. "Ummm help over here! There is a girl downed, we need magic. Lots of it. Probably blood, lots of blood. It is over me, and over there, and over there, and a bit over there. Ummmmm. Plenty of red meat I guess. It is what my auntie says. Spinnach, which si gross."
  355.
  356. He is babling in panic, he has no idea what to do, and is probably in a bit of shock. As he gently dabs at the girls head, wipeing off blood as he can.
  357. (Éadmód Hilyard)
  358. [23:59:21] The rage that had bubbled in his stomach and began to rise into his chest was too slow to fight against the instinctual fear of the otherness that the woman exuded, and so when guards came to escort him to safety, he was not properly incensed enough to resist. Safety, however, was a relative thing in situations such as this, and a stray blast from the impressive array of pyrotechnics managed to catch the remains of his wooden instrument alight. Emrys would not soon forget this day, should he survive it, if for no other reason than the lingering burns.
  359. (Emrys)
  360. [23:59:21] Well, she wasn't quite world-ending raidboss tier of power yet, but the Malpercian was doubtless an incredibly imposing figure. Surprisingly, despite the odds being against her, Rin was incedibly versatile. Her multiple limbs sapped at the strength of her foes, giving her surprising durability under the assault. Tentacles were carved away as quickly as they sprouted, and dozens of soldiers seemed to drop dead from her soul-devouring presence.
  361.
  362. The woman was a living weapon; an expression of just what a Malpercian could become. Despite the heroics, her end did not come without damage to the members of Cinderfall. Silas would bear the worst of it, a tentacle transforming with a bone-like blade to slip through his gut. The others, would be met with a lashful wave of mutant tentacles that slipped forth, and blew everyone back...
  363.
  364. Except for Vivica. A moment of destiny would fall upon the child - To fell a demon with a single pristine blow in a moment of vulnerability. Could she do it..?
  365. (Rin)
  366. [00:01:55] The fight was taking it's toll on the nearby village, with tree branches, dirt, dust and pieces of debris beginning to litter the newly christened battlefield. As various spells and techniques off-target left their marks. All seemed to be going well at first, and it seemed they managed to leave a dent in the Sin's defenses. But it wasn't long until she was once again on the retaliation, everything had become a blur. Sound was ultrasonic and the rapid throbbing in the replacement of sound replicated the boy's heart rate in the heat of battle.
  367.
  368. Although not a talented magi yet, he still managed to bring his martial prowess to the table. Agility was key, and doing his best to move quickly, Silas attempted to deliver piercing strikes at a deadly fast pace whenever necessary. All was going well.
  369.
  370. But, suddenly. The error of his foolhardy approach to a much more powerful attacker and a single eldritch tentacle whipped towards him. From ultrasonic sound, to no sound at all. As soon as it had passed through him, the bone like blade had removed itself from his abdomen, spilling his blood over the stone walls behind him.
  371.
  372. The nobleman clutched at his open wound, and his sword fell with a crash, as did he. He remained slumped against the wall for now, his short and broken breath quickening in pace as he attempts to still the flow of blood.
  373. (Silas)
  374. After the battle had ended, without hesitation Leila would begin to bark orders to other guard's of Cinderfall to bring the injured to the Infirmary. Brushing the anger by as she'd be sure to follow the injured into the Infirmary, looking to Zain, asking him to come along and help her as every available hand would be needed to tend to the injured.
  375.
  376. As for how the Malperican would be ended, that was the least of her concerns for now.
  377. (Leila Rainfold-Azar)
  378. [00:07:02] It seems that the Drakanite boy gently trying to wipe away the blood wasn't met by deaf ears! Thankfully.
  379.
  380. The teenage non-magi was plucked up by the guards- a bit.. Okay a LOT more carefully than the young Drakanite had to stimulate and irritate the injuries. A few punctures, a few lacerations. Blood practically soaked her midrift and was leaking from her open mouth but...
  381.
  382. Somehow she trucked on!
  383.
  384. Pulled away from the shouting, the voices- her dimming mumbles.. She didn't even get to say 'thank you', then again she hardly knew what the boy was saying beyond his panicked babble speak. That and she was.. Unconcious, at least her mental self was free from the physical torment of her body.
  385. (Ivisha)
  386. [00:09:36] In the rage of battle, magics of all sorts were throw across the grounds of Cinderfall. Vivica watched, in the midst of battle, soldiers fall to their demises against the undead malpercian.
  387.
  388. Within the sky above, thunder boomed across the city, echoing for miles across the lands, distancing far off throughout the marshes, the plains, and perhaps bygone. Rain fell harder, swept into the whirlwinds around her form that were shocking to the touch and emitted fire within.
  389.
  390. Few of her allies had downed and took heavy damage. Seeing blood spilled almost turned her stomach inside-out. Her conversation with Ciel earlier on in the evening had taught her one of the most important things that would come into play here.
  391.
  392. Redemption for yokai and the depraved would be their death.
  393.
  394. A spot had opened for Vivica to strike, allowing lightning to bolt from the clouds above and down upon the malpercian. Winds buffeted Rin’s movements temporarily and from the clouds around her form, lightning was summoned to her hand in a deadly bolt.
  395.
  396. With the aid of winds, she kicked off the ground and struck Rin, electrocuting her. From above and from below she was struck with high volts that caused the malpercian to fall. Even after she felt some regret for the woman.
  397.
  398. Turning as she panted, Vivica looked towards her body with shock.. "May Kraus guide you in the next life.." She spoke softly.
  399. (Vivica Loirdne)
  400. [00:19:50] The parasitic limb would suddenly snap, even as Rin's body lay upon the ground. It snatched her around the neck, dragging her back towards the body. Bottomless, dying eyes. "With my dying breath... Share in my torment..!" Rin screeched; and Vivica, restrained for only the brief moment that they were, would feel something. It was hard to say what exactly had just occured, but within seconds, the tentacle around her neck would collapse, spasming completely, as nerves in it failed.
  401.
  402. And Rin, the Devourer, laid dead. Thousands of souls had finally been avenged, the wanton destruction of a creature who only sought to consume the world finally halted. Vivica was unharmed... Despite the ordeal, the first thought that would pass into her head, would be how a nice meal would be a great way to celebrate victory.
  403. (Rin)
  404. [00:24:06] This fight gave absolutely nothing to gauge her new strength on, which was a real pain. For her, fighting against a sin magi would have been great to determine how she would face up against the Lich himself. But it seemed that wouldn't be a luxury available to the spriggan contractor. Alongside others, Batkem caused swarms of insects to bite at the malpercian, each infused with the power of the Overseer's Blade.
  405.
  406. All of her attacks were infused with its power. With each ray of cosmic power, not only was she scorched, but her very essence was ripped at and sealed away by the Warden dwelling within her. Batkem sought to be the one to land that killing blow in order to satisfy the needs of her spirit.
  407.
  408. But, frightening enough, it was her daughter who would land the final blow. That little girl, already recently traumatized, was going to take a life at such a tender age. As those final words were spoken, Batkem ran forward to wrap the child in a hug.
  409.
  410. Well, that was her aim. But her Warden still wanted any trace of that abomination gone. Batkem's blue, glowing eyes shot towards the 'deceased' undead, causing the sunflower staff to rise. From its center, rather than any sort of solar power to shoot out as normal, something surprising jut forth.
  411.
  412. An ethereal sword, the blade of the overseer. Transluscent and seemingly moving of its own will, it stabbed into her chest, grabbing at her very essence; flesh was seemingly sucked away, the woman deflating until she was naught but a skeleton with skin sticking to it.
  413.
  414. And then the solar energy came to utterly obliterate her remains, leaving nothing left save for the few trinkets left behind. With the contract fulfilled, the sword dissipated and the blue glow upon her eyes gone. Batkem was free.
  415.
  416. Free to finally embrace her daughter, the staff of sunflower dropping to the ground and joining the soil. She simply clutched the child as tight as she could.
  417. (Batkem Loirdne)
  418. [00:35:12] In the wake of all the destruction, with various of those involved now leaving, the young man railed internally at the senselessness of all that had occurred. His life seemed up-ended, all that had come before was insignificant, as was he. Impotent rage at the world and its follies broiled within Emrys, as the scope of power he had seen today overwhelmed him.
  419.
  420. But how would this sense of helplessness shape him, and his future?
  421. (Emrys)
  422. [00:40:19] Shortly after the moments of the malpercian's life coming to an end, the issues with Rin wouldn't stop there. At all. The woman's arm twisted. It snapped from her very being, grabbing Vivica by her neck.
  423.
  424. Adrenaline was pumping in her veins and she shook; trembling so to say and for those around, this was a nightmare. Screeching that followed words occurred. An odd sensation that, for Vivica, was unexplainable had been felt.
  425.
  426. "With my dying breath... Share in my torment..!" To those words she screamed and pulled away. Vivica was unharmed, but a sudden, odd feeling she began to feel, almost a hunger.
  427.
  428. She was not depraved, but whatever she had felt, it was overwhelming. Perhaps a meal would sate the way she felt --
  429.
  430. With what had been taken place, Vivica fell back on her bottom, moving away from Rin while Batkem finished obliterating the undead malpercian's body. She continued to shake albeit despite her faint hunger, she was embrace.
  431.
  432. "Mom!" She called out, almost wanting to cry and held Batkem tightly. She regretted killing this malpercian, even if she was told that death was the redemption for depravity, it brought a sickening feeling within, or perhaps that was just the feeling of an empty stomach.
  433. (Vivica Loirdne)
  434. [00:51:24] Vivica had been forced to slay a woman. The spriggan just wanted to take care of the problem herself, but now her own child had been dragged into it. Her arms were wrapped tight around her, though Batkem wasn't sure how to process all of what had just happened. A combination of being slightly possessed, watching innocents be batted away, mind-numbing depravity which stung, Vivia slaying someone, and Vivica apparently being cursed.
  435.
  436. Ciel wouldn't be happy. With just base instincts driving her, the little girl was walked towards the church, the place which she associated with 'safety' at her core. Vivica had to be taken somewhere safe. She had to process what had happened. She had to..
  437.
  438. What had to happen?
  439. (Batkem Loirdne)
  440. [00:58:14] With Batkem's possessed being allowing herself to return, Vivica was kept in her arms tightly. Her breaths were heavy, panting as she did, but also with panic. No more did the malpercian exist on this realm, but a part of her remained in Vivica.. right?
  441.
  442. The little girl had to slay the depraved. That was their redemption as it had been with yokai. Even in death she respected the fallen, praying that Rin will be guided to the right light in her next life.
  443.
  444. A difficult act to face that she murdered someone.. even if they were out to harm others. At first she was here on peaceful terms, but for others it was apparent that it wouldn't be that peaceful ending and thus Rin came to an end.
  445.
  446. Now with Vivica being carried away into the church with Batkem, she was more traumatized than before. She clutched on to Batkem as tight as she possibly could, shaking with fear that one's life just ended by her doing, even if it had been the right thing.
  447.
  448. It was almost unbearable. Vivica grit her teeth, wanting to just go home and stuff her face with something to relief the overwhelming sensation she felt. A bit of hunger, but most of it had been due to being sick.
  449.
  450. "M-Mom..." She soft softly with a shaken voice. Where had Ciel been through all of this? "I.. I.. I killed her..."
  451. (Vivica Loirdne)
  452. [01:00:48] Vivica Loirdne: <*is cuddled to sleep with Batkem because needs sleep IRL*>
