  1. Thunder, rain and lightning, the waters were disturbed and un calm. Crashing against the shoreline with such force, unable to wind down and settle for the night. Shoal stared outside his window, feeling slightly uneasy by the storm but un disturbed, he would be unable to go on his usual fishing for the day to stock up his store, which was fine ti him because it was better than being out in the storm and potentially getting hurt and losing his gear. He could always go fishing another day, it wasn't worth the risk for him to do something so reckless especially that it was against the fishermen code to go out while a storm as aggressive as this is roaring outside. Shoal tapped onto the glass, he sticking his tongue out feeling bumped out by the storm, it doesn't bother him but he doesn't really like to be in the storm weather, having to be cooped up in his store all day long. "Oh well" He thought to himself, he should try to keep himself busy until the storm is all cleared up, he could absolutely clean up and tidy his store as he has lots of time on his hands for the day, potentially for the next few days depending on how the weather progresses, there's no telling how long it will take.

  3. Shoal tapped on the glass one more time as a good luck charm before slowly heading down the stairs to his store front, he looked at the glass case filled with ice and fish, he unfortunately wouldn't be able to sell any of it today so he has to do something with it, the ice will melt and the fish will rot so he has to do something about it quick before anything goes bad. He grabbed a cooler and filled it with new fresh ice before he went around his store picking up the products and putting them into a bucket until it was full and than dumping it into the cooler, he had done the process a few times, clearing up the coolers and glass cases of products and fish so he could clean it up. He closed the cooler after gathering everything up and put it behind the counter, it was time to start the clean up so he grabbed a bucket, a piece of cloth and a mop, things were probably gonna get messy with having to deal with this much ice especially that he can't really dump it outside considering how windy it is, attempting to do so might get him blown away by the wind which is something he definitely doesn't want happening to himself. He quickly grabbed a shovel and started shoveling ice into the bucket, he would have done it by hand but he had hurt himself in the past doing so, so best way to do it currently for him is to use a shovel, he filled up two buckets with ice before picking one up with his mouth and another with his hands. He headed to the back of the store and slowly opened the door, it seemed like the wind has either calmed down enough to open the door or most of the wind is blocked by the other buildings which was good enough for shoal, he dumped both buckets as far as he could before closing the door and making sure it was closed correctly, hoping that the wind doesn't blow it open later while he's working. He went back to shoveling ice into the buckets, it was definitely going to take him a while to get all the ice out and replace it, he was stuck in the store anyway so might as well do some work and keep himself distracted until he can leave, he was starting to feel slightly hungry as he looked over at the cooler, he slowly made his way to it, still holding onto the shovel as he opened it up, he grabbed a fish and throw it into his mouth, munching on it before grabbing another and another. He was eating some of the products while working, he was going to turn it into chump anyway so it isn't like he was eating product that was going to be sold, not like anyone can buy any fish today anyway.

  5. He continued shoveling ice into buckets and dumping it out from the back, he was nowhere near end and he was starting to feel a bit tired, he was grabbing a snack every once in a while as he worked. He sighed as he took a seat on the ground, he needed a moment to rest, he needed a small break before he could continue working on anything else. He started munching on a fish that he grabbed from the cooler, he was eating raw fish this whole time, for some kind of reason, he doesn't like to cook his sea food before eating them for some kind of reason, no one really knows why and no one has really bothered to ask him as well, they just leave him alone and let him do his own thing as he isn't bothering anyone. He continued chewing on his "lunch" while resting on the ground, he was slowly starting to regain his strength and energy, he seemed to be really happy and content with this small moment that he was having right now between work. Shoal finished eating his food and took a moment to himself before getting up and continued with his work, shoveling the rest of the ice into buckets and dumping the last bit out, he walked back to the glass cases and pulled out a hose and started spraying one of them. He began to wash and scrub the case trying to clean it and get rid of any fishy fluids so it's clean and shiny, he probably wouldn't be replacing the ice today, actually perhaps he should so the ice gets settled in and holds its shape, that made sense to shoal as he nodded to himself. He finished cleaning the case and started drying it using the piece of cloth that he had with him, it would take too long to hand dry the whole thing so he was going to let it air dry as he went to wash the other case, repeating the same progress, spray it, scrub it and then dry it. He had a few more displays and coolers to get through, he hadn't thought that cleaning this many displays would be this much effort costing on his end, he thought it would be a lot more easier to do especially that he had nothing else to do today, guess it was the effect of the storm, the thunder and lightening outside being aloud and bright as ever, not forgetting the fact that it's pouring too, it was like standing under a waterfall, it was that bad. Shoal was starting to feel a bit down because of everything but he decided to push through it instead, it would have been fun to listen to something while cleaning but he forgot his phone at home and the radio definitely wouldn't be working in conditions like this, the pour guy just frowned and continued on with his work.

  7. He was finishing up the last few displays, he was disinfecting them too while they dried up, he began to reorganize things, wipe the chalk boards and signs and removed any old tags so he can replace them when they get fresh products, he was hoping that they get lots of fish after the storm, It would be a bummer if they don't. Shoal went on with his cleaning, mopping the floor and pushing water and small pieces of ice to the drains, it was the last thing that he had to do before restocking the ice and he was trying to be careful with it so he doesn't potentially slip and fall, he wouldn't want himself to get an injury at a time like this, it would suck a lot to get hurt but also leaving the store unorganized and unprepared after things calm down would mean that they wouldn't be able to open up right away, he wouldn't be able to go swimming or get more yummy fish to eat. He continued mopping while thinking to himself, he was a bit distracted thinking about fishing and almost slipped and made a bigger mess on the floor, Shoal held onto the mop for dear life as he trembled, it felt like his heart sank for a moment, he slowly tried to regain his balance and he was able to stand on both of his feet with no problem, he signed in relief and finished up mopping quickly before placing the yellow sign warning others to be careful that the floor is wet and that there is a chance of slipping, it was a weird thing to do considering that he is alone but guess it was a form of habit.

  9. Shoal got himself a glass of water to drink, he started drinking it slowly until the glass was empty before he placed the empty glass down on the countertop and went to the freezer and started shoveling in ice into buckets so he could place it into the displays and cases, he filled up both buckets and picked them up, one in his mouth and the other being held by his hands just like last time. He started pouring the ice into one of the displays, gently patting it down into place, making sure it looked nice and organized so the products would look great on the display. He started doing the same in the other display that was right by, he poured one bucket in but it was a bigger display so he needs another bucket or two to fill this one up, so he went back to get more ice, making sure to grab another bucket with him so he would have three buckets of ice with him this time around. He was struggling a bit this time around with three buckets, holding two at each hand and another in his mouth was proving to be quite difficult, he was moving slowly, taking his time trying to reach the front so he could continue filling in the displays, it took him a bit but he made it in the end without spilling any of them. He went back to the display that he originally was at and poured two buckets into it, surprisingly two was perfectly enough to fill it in so he just started shaping it into the perfect shape so it would be perfect for whenever the store opens up for business again hopefully tomorrow or sooner.

  11. Shoal finished up the other displays and cases, he started mopping the floor again to get rid of any ice that had fallen off when he was filling in the cases from earlier, he was taking his time with this last part as he was starting to get tired, he didn't have much energy anymore from working all day but it was worth it in the end. The store was spotless and clean, it look like a brand new store with how good of a job he did, he felt proud of his own self, he should probably treat himself after all of the work that he did today, he definitely deserves it. Shoal's stomach growled as he continued mopping the floor, that gave him a clear sign that his treat should be more fish from the cooler, guess he wouldn't be making any chump today because all that yummy fish is going to go onto his stomach. He finished up mopping the floor and washed his hands before he grabbed a stool and sat next to the cooler, he opened it and grabbed a fish to start munching on, today was exhausting but nothing beats cold raw fish to end the day with.
