  1. Hey there #FreedomFamily. Over the past week or so we've been on a mission. This mission is to remove any and all traces of spam and copyright content from our systems. We currently have built-in measures where every channel is reviewed when they join us with some spot checking afterward to ensure that our partners are keeping their agreements with us and YouTube. This is normally enough to keep things in check, However, things took a shift recently.

  3. We've found that there are some users who upload things they shouldn't once they've joined us. To be clear this means after we initially check the channels. This put us into a situation where in an attempt to look attractive to potential advertisers, investors, and YouTube we needed to act quickly to ensure that these bad actors were removed. We built a system that automatically detects certain markers of concern. This list of markers was boiled down from the data we collected from... We believe the technical term is a metric "butt ton" of previously closed channels that YouTube had acted on. We collected this data, cross referenced it, condensed it, and further linked every conceivable similarity that made logical sense. This can be based on metadata, video length, and about 50 other criteria that we won't get into for the security of the effectiveness of the tool.

  5. This tool seems to have worked... but a bit too well as there have been a few casualties where a few people with one or two benign things that mean nothing on their own were seen as having a cluster of indicators and were placed in a cue to be unlinked. Essentially these were less severe markers that were weighted too highly; normally they would have been caught in a long process of testing if we had the time to test a bit more before putting this into place.
  6.
  7. If you were wrongfully unlinked we'd like to take this time to apologize for any inconvenience or disruption this may have caused. We invite you to contact support (info below) which is currently running a tiny bit slower than usual because of the volume of requests to join and re-join the network. This process is getting better with time and with your help it can become the best in the industry.

  9. For your reference, We're including a few links that you should check out if you're wanting to make sure that your content is as clean as possible before reapplying or if you're wanting to ensure the long-term survival of your channel.
