Moose ruins everything

Alexithymiaa: -Steph was in the process of doing her physical therapy exercises, which at this point included 'practicing' going up and down the stairs. She had one crutch positioned underneath her right arm to supplement her right leg, halfway up the second set of stairs to the second floor and essentially out of breath because it was really hard for her. On top of that, she'd been practicing her scales to prep for their upcoming appearances since she hadnt done a whole lot of singing or moving around in a while. Because she waas so out of breath, her sung scales just sounded like whispy noises.-
Covet: Felix had come back in to the house, through the door into the laundry room with Moose, grabbing one of the towels in there to dry off the wet dog. Once he was all dry, the dog ran into the kitchen to get himself something to eat. Felix shortly followed after and saw steph doing her exercises on the stairs, then he heard her. Clearing his throat he went to the bottom of the stairs and crossed his arms. " Okay, pick one or the other, Red. But doing both is going to make you pass out at this rate."
Alexithymiaa: -She paused on the stairs to look down at him at the bottom, sucking in a deep breath before speaking. "I'm okay. I'm really out of practice and we have an appearance at the music store next week. How am I going to make it through a whole song in front of a crowd of people if I can't breathe? I have to build up my stamina again. Besides, I'm doing really well!" She shot back at him, continuing her journey up the stairs slowly, pulling herself up to the top and throwing her left fist above her head. "I did it faster that time!"-
Covet: "I'm happy for you, but your scales sound raspy, and if you ruin your voice doing this, how's that going to sound for you guys?" He asked her. "Come back down and take a breather, and get yourself something to drink." He told her with a more stern tone. "I'll give you a congratulations kiss when you get down here." He added in in a lighter tone.
Alexithymiaa: "They do not sound raspy!" She yelled defensively even though she knew they did, reaching her hand out to steady herself on the railing at the top. She paused for a minute to catch her breath, looking down at him again. "I will be down in like... ten minutes. Hopefully." She inched toward the top step, stopping when she saw Moose racing upstairs after his short stint in the kitchen. "No... down. Go downstairs." She said trying to nudge him away from her with her crutch. Which was obviously the wrong thing to do because Moose now thought this was a game, reaching out to bite at her crutch and catching it in his teeth, attempting to yank it away from her. Trying to pull it back from him, she grabbed the end with both hands, losing her balance when he pulled on it again and tumbling down the top half of the staircase. She stopped when she hit the landing, her body crumpled onto its side as she just laid there with her eyes open in panic and fear. Of course her knee hurt, but otherwise she wasnt in overwhelming pain other than acquiring some bruises on the way down.-
Covet: Felix tried chasing up after the dog, "Dammit you stupid, stupid stupid dog!" he yelled out as Steph came tumbling down. "Come here Now, Moose!" He said in a loud command. Now he was pissed at the dog, and Nick, because why would you request this of Steph, of all times, right now. He stopped at the landing where Steph was at and leaned down. "Hey, anything broke?" He asked her in a more gentle tone.
Alexithymiaa: -She turned her head slowly to stare up at him, rolling gently onto her back. "I don't know..." She paused, wiggling her fingers on one hand and then her toes on both feet. "I don't think so, but I can't feel my hand." She slowly lifted her left arm, moving it over to her right to cup her shoulder. "Shit. That doesn't belong there... can you..." She trailed of, sitting up very slowly and cradling her right arm. "Just put it back."-
Covet: "Yeah here... ready, breath, One, two, three." He said and popped her shoulder back into place. He then looked down the rest of the stairs, "I'm going to help get you down, then that dog is getting locked up in the bathroom. I was hoping that playing fetch at the beach down at the river for an hour and a half would have done the trick." He said as he adjusted her to pick her up so he could take her down the stairs.
Alexithymiaa: -She inhaled, closing her eyes as he popped her shoulder back into place, letting out a short hiss, but it was a pretty regular occurance so it wasnt that bad anymore. "I was doing so well..." She said with a frown as she adjusted so he could pick her up, a little defeated she didn't get to finish her descent the proper way. "This doesn't count as me not being able to do it, right? I didn't give up."-
Covet: "No this wasn't on you at all, this was on that damn heathen mongrel." He said. "You did awesome." Felix added getting her over to the couch to set her down. "One second.. I'll be right back." He told her then made his way back up the stairs to get the dog. Finding him, he scruffed him and brought him down the stairs, telling him he was a bad dog the whole way down. He brought him to the bathroom and closed the door on him, before heading back out to the couch. " Do you want anything for the pain?" He asked her.
Alexithymiaa: -She nodded her head as he walked away, leaning over to look down at her knee. "Actually... I think I'm okay. It hurts, but it's not as bad as it's been before. The doctor doesn't want me taking as many as I was before anyway."-
Covet: "I could get you a joint if you want?" Felix asked her then sighed. "When's Nick supposed to come get the dog?" he added after a moment running a hand through his hair as he stood there looking at her.
Alexithymiaa: "But it's raining..." She said softly, glancing out the window. "I don't really want to go outside and freeze my ass off. I'm fine, it's okay. Just sit." She said, holding her hand out to him. "Thursday afternoon."-
Covet: "We could huddle up together under a blanket while we do it?" He said then sat down looking at her, taking her hand. "I'm not keeping him in this house until Thursday. I'm sorry. Not if he's going to put your recovery in jeopardy. Can we find a bording house to take him? Then it will be their problem. I'll pay for it, but Nick pays for any damages upon pick up."
Alexithymiaa: "A boarding house? Arizona... do you know how many times Nick has taken care of the animals when we're not going to be around? He takes Penny to his house AND comes by here twice a day to feed the cats and scoop the boxes. And he's only my friend because I'm Bryan's sister, so I've definitely taken advantage of him. The one time he asks me to dog sit, I can't just board the dog."-
Covet: "And if it was any other time, we'd keep him, but that ill behaved dog just nearly drug you down the stairs. Thankfully it wasn't that bad, but I'm sure that Nick will understand in this case. " Felix told her. Not budging.
Alexithymiaa: "That just feels shitty..." She said with a frown, leaning over and resting her head against him, trying to cuddle him and be cute. "If it's not raining tomorrow, we can keep him outside most of the day."-
Covet: "And what about for the rest of tonight?" He asked her looking over at her. "It feels shitty that he even asked you to do this in your current state. Especially when he knows how this dog acts." Felix said with a concerned look at her.
Alexithymiaa: "Well... you can stay in the guest bedroom for the rest of the night. He only chewed on the when I checked on him this morning..." She pursed her lips, reaching for his hand again. "I know he's an asshole of a dog, but we can't be cruel to him. I think Nick is jjust... used to it. And Jessie is like the most chill dog ever so they balance out."-
Covet: "It's not cruel to him, what's cruel to him is me having to get after him all the time for being too rough with you." Felix said then looked at her, "What do you mean I can stay in the guest bedroom? I'm staying in our room" He said with an exasperated huff.
Alexithymiaa: "Then quit arguing with me." She said, her smile stretching across her face, resisting the urge to laugh. "It'll be fine. It's less than two days and I'll just... avoid him if it makes you feel better. And then he'll be gone and it'll be okay."-
Covet: Felix looked at her grumbled crossing his arms. "Fine, but know that I'm having a couple words with Nick when he comes to get Moose." He said because dammit Nick.
Alexithymiaa: "Babe, please be nice. He's been a friend for a long time and he's Bryan's best man. And he never gives me trouble about watching the animals for us." She pouted out her lower lip, giving his shirt sleeve a tug. "I promise I'll make it up to you if you don't lose it on him. I'll add it to the long list of reasons why I owe you."-
Covet: "I won't lose it on him. I can express my annoyance in a controlled and adult way." Felix said looking at her pout, and he caved, "Don't give me the lip, that's not even fair right now, and stop it, You don't owe me for anything." He told her leaning over to press a kiss to the top of her head.
Alexithymiaa: "But you won't." She said, keeping the pout and adding some eyelashing batting at him. "I owe you a lot. You put up with me and I'm a huge pain in the ass. You deserve a medal for that alone."-
Covet: "Fine... I won't. But don't get me a medal or anything. Because I can't promise I won't be at least a little annoyed at him." Felix told her then went to get up. "I need to move him out of the bathroom, into the bedroom. Then you and I are hiding away in the bedroom until the morning. Sound good?"
Alexithymiaa: -She smiled at him, pecking his cheek before he stood up. "Sounds good, but I can't go anywhere unless you get me at least one crutch. So on your way back.... I need that."-
Covet: Felix made sure to grab her crutch after securing Moose in the guest room, then put it in the bedroom before making his way over to her to help pick her up and cart her off to the bedroom.
Alexithymiaa: -She wrapped her arms around him as he lifted her off the couch, glancing back at Jessie who seemed to give no fucks about literally anything. Comes with being old. "I guess this works too." She said as they headed into the bedroom for sleeps.-
