I think the first red flag that should have been a sign that my chart was going to be terrible was that I had absolutely no way to pad test this. Not only is the closest good ITG cab an hour's drive away from my house, but I am not even good enough at this game to play my chart even if I was given the chance. I should really get to work on that homebuilt pad.

Another thing was that I really didn't think about the volume of the song as I was stepping for it, mainly because I have not played at an arcade often enough to really know how loud the speakers on those things really are. From what I've gathered reading the judge's reviews, they're not very loud. Once I get to work on stepping video out e for pump, or really ever again, I will amplify the quiet parts a bit even if that does ruin the music. Dymanics 4 lyfe

As for all of the experiments that I threw into the chart, that was absolutely and definetely me trying to see what could work in a doubles chart and what could not, but instead of pad testing the thing myself, I decided to enter this into the comp to see what some more seasoned players thought about all of the shit I put in this chart. Now that I finally have some feedback, I realize that this chart ended up being a mishy-mashy mess of good ideas mixed with bad doublesteps, right facing patterns and random unnecessary mines.

So after all of this, here's how I'm going to revise/rewrite video out e:

Once my homebuilt project is finished, I'm going to get better at doubles, getting a feel for what's fun for me and what isn't. I will leave my chart untouched until I feel confident enough to tackle it. When that happens, I'll probably record myself playing my own chart just to see what I think of it in the future, and then I'll revise/rewrite accordingly and then I'll upload the video and the simfile to their respective places.
