She and her family were close and they were very loving. Growing up Jihyun was always reading above her level and loved to get lost in a good book. From a young age she dreamed of becoming an author or professor.

	↳ When Jihyun was around 15 the hotel began to lose traffic, less and less people were coming to their town and they could barely keep up with costs. In order to keep the hotel afloat Jihyun's father had to take out a loan from a loan-shark but was unable to pay it back. One day, whilst Jihyun and her brothers were at school the loan-sharks set fire to the hotel, killing their parents and all the people they had beside each other.

	↳ They barely managed to get by and Jihyun worked some extremely unsavory jobs(drug deals, runs for local cartels and mafia) to put food on the table. One morning, after a particularly bad night at work Jihyun came back to the apartment to find her brothers dead, their throats slit and bodies riddled with bullets, she was 17. This is what led Jihyun to move to becoming a hit girl, she wanted revenge and used her contacts in the criminal underworld to find out who was behind it and take them out. Once she killed them she was approached by one of the cartels she had run for to make a kill for them and she learnt just how lucrative it could be. She figured out she could easily pay her way through uni with this and so she became a killer for hire, stopping the drug runs and dealing.

	↳ Eventually Jihyun gained a name for herself and moved on to more lucrative killings, those of high-level targets like politicians and business men. These killings earned her the pseudonym 'Kingmaker'. She started attending classes to get her high school diploma and once she did she applied for university as a literature major - her dream. She continues killing and has actually found she really enjoys it, although she has enough money saved for uni she still does it. Now she wants to become a part-time English Lit or Classics professor and part time hit-woman

how you guys met: She met Chanhee through one of her jobs, he was a friend of theirs and they introduced them. Chanhee became very interested in Jihyun and wouldn't leave her alone until she accepted his requests at being friends. When the friend died, killed by Jihyun, Chanhee went to Jihyun for comfort and that was the start of their proper friendship. Chanhee is one of only two people Jihyun is close to (also very close to Huang Zhennan)

relationship timeline: beginning-middle-end
beginning: Chanhee and Jihyun are friends, they hang out sometimes, always organized by Chanhee and he basically spends the entire time annoying her(in a friendly cute way) or they cook together
middle: Jihyun begins to invite Chanhee to hang out and actually open up a bit in the relationship. They get closer and Chanhee confesses, Jihyun freaks the flip out and asks for sometime. She goes to Zhennan and gets his advice, he tells her that despite her fears of abandonment and opening up Chanhee would never do that to her. She decided to accept his confession, after all she likes him too, but before she can Chanhee finds out about her job and the fact that she killed his friend, uh-oh. Eventually Jihyun manages to trap Chanhee in a conversation and they talk things out, Jihyun tells Chanhee about her family and her life for the first time and they make up but Chanhee refuses to be with her despite their mutual feelings.
end: They have a lot of long stares and romantic/sexual tension and eventually say "f*** it" and kiss and get together.
