- [Sanshuu Middle - Library]
- Uta: Mii-chan, I found a nice book titled "The Big Dictionary of Flower Growing!"
- Mit: Whoa, amazing! There's so much written about flower growing in this thick book!
- Uta: The world of flowers seems as deep and intricate as the world of veggies, how exciting!
- Uta: The seeds we got were zinnia, right?
- Mit: Yeah. Said so on the bag. I wonder if this book says how to grow them?
- Uta: Zinnia, zinnia... Ah, think it's this page.
- Mit: Mhm, mhm... Looks like they'll bloom by summer if we plant them now.
- Mit: And it seems if we grow them well, the flowers will last for long, just like their other name, "hundred day grass" implies.
- Uta: Wow! They'll be in bloom for a hundred days? How wonderful.
- Uta: It says even newbies to gardening shouldn't have trouble growing them, so we can breathe out and plant the seeds.
- Uta: You'll need a pot and soil to plant the seeds, use the ones at my fields as you like.
- Mit: Utanon, thanks a lot. Can we go to the fields now, then?
- Uta: Naturlich! Let's go.
- [Outside hallway]
- Uta: *humming* Mii-chan's sowing seeds!
- Hin: My, Utano-san and Mito-san. What a coincidence.
- Mit: Hinata-san. Shizuka-san and Aya-chan, too. Mikos gathered up... Did something happen?
- Aya: No, we just ended up meeting on our way back.
- Kir: We were just talking 'bout how "we're bound to meet Mitorin too at this point". Talk about fate.
- Kir: By the way, Uta-chan, what's the matter? You're in an awfully good mood, humming and what have you.
- Uta: You see, there's this and that, and today is Mii-chan's debut planting zinnia seeds!
- Mit: Debut? Utanon, don't exaggerate.
- Aya: No, that's wonderful!
- Kir: Aye! How about we come and watch her seed sowing debut too?
- Hin: Sounds interesting. Mito-san, Utano-san, would you mind it if we came along?
- Uta: Not at all! Let's go to my fields, everyone!
- [Field]
- Mit: Well, I put some soil in the flowerpot for starters. Utanon, isn't this a bit too much?
- Uta: My veggie-growing experience tells me that right about this amount is best.
- Uta: Now make holes with your finger and gently put the seeds in them.
- Aya: I see. Seed planting is a deep topic with much to learn, huh.
- Mit: What if I mess up and it doesn't sprout? The responsibility is making me nervous... I'll put the seed here, I guess?
- Uta: Mii-chan, excellente! Not too deep and not too shallow, this is the best position!
- Mit: Now I need to lightly cover the seeds with soil... Mhm, kind of like this?
- Kir: You're doing just spiffy! Your first seed planting went perfectly!
- Hin: The only thing left to do now is waiting for it to sprout. Please tell us if there's something we can help with.
- Mit: Thank you very much. That's very reassuring to hear.
