- Covet: -Eli was out in the hallway on his phone with his Mom, trying not to be annoyed with her- Mom I know I should have been there this weekend, but there are other things that I prioritized first. I don't even understand why you are so angry about this right now, you aren't even really Jewish. -He paused and leaned back against the wall and rolled his eyes while the nagging voice on the other end continued-
- Tsaaq: Bliss tried to hoist herself from her bed to the wheelchair placed beside it. She began to sweat which was much to her discomfort, scooting slowly towards the edge and practically falling into the chair making a loud thud noise. Bliss' exhale was high pitched once she adjusted herself in the chair and brought her hands to the wheels, scowling a little. "I don't like this..." She whispered, imagining how her hands would meet those wheels over and over and with each touch she'd have a new assortment of germs meeting her skin.
- Covet: You aren't getting old, I'm still going to be at other holidays, I promise I'll make it up to you on Mother's Day. I've got to go, No I'm not trying to get rid of you, I just really need to go...Goodbye! -He said loudly looking into the room after hearing Bliss land in the wheelchair, and hung up on his Mom. He walked in and gave Bliss a smile as he tucked his phone back into his pocket.- Are you alright, My Dear? -He asked her seeing the scowl on her face-
- Tsaaq: She kept her head low once he came in, putting her hands in her lap. "I don't like this chair at all." Bliss said quietly. "And I want to cut my hair and I can't. I can't get around this way." She continued to complain. "Laying down all the time is hurting the parts of my body I can feel. And I despise this place." Bliss grumbled before sighing.
- Covet: -He frowned a bit and nodded- I'm sorry. The chair will grow on you, and hopefully you won't have to be in it for long. I can rub and massage the sore parts, if you'd like? -he suggested sincerely, then looked at the wheelchair then at her hands- What we need to get you is some gloves....-He said with a nod-
- Tsaaq: "Gloves?" She repeated, lifting her hands so she could stare at them a moment. Bliss looked up at Eli with wide frown. "You have to tell them I can leave." She said in a pained tone. "I'm going to die here if I stay any longer." Bliss inhaled sharply as if she were about to have a panic attack.
- Covet: Yeah, Like some cool biking gloves, that way your hands don't get dirty. -He told her kneeling down to take her hands in his own- I wish I could do that, I can ask them how much longer you're going to be here. I can take you on a walk though, We can give you a couple blankets and maybe do a lap outside? Get some fresh air,? -he asked her looking into her eyes, trying to keep her from entering panic attack mode.- You won't even have to touch the wheels.
- Tsaaq: Bliss continued to frown and reluctantly nodded her head at him. "I suppose." She answered. "You can't push me around forever though." She said and pursed her lips, trying to grab the blanket from her bed herself.
- Covet: Says who? I dare anyone to tell me that I can't. -He gave her a chuckle and helpped her adjust the blanket to cover her up, trying to let her do as much of it on her own as possible, because he didn't want to upset her and make her feel like she wasn't in control at the moment-
- Tsaaq: Bliss tried not to cringe at the thought of able-bodied Eli wasting his life with her. She inhaled deeply and forced an exhale with her eyes closing a moment once she got the blanket off the bed. Bliss reopened her eyes and fussed a little when trying to fold the blanket but eventually she placed it over her lap. "Would they let you bring me scissors so I could cut my hair?" She asked once she waited for him to start pushing.
- Covet: Hmm, Perhaps. -He said- Or I can see if a stylist will make a personal call. If you'd be alright with that. -He said watching her. Once she was situated he started moving them towards the door, manuevering it open to get her through it as they walked through the halls and looked for a door that lead outside to the hospital patio area-
- Tsaaq: "I can do it myself." Bliss said quickly in response. She fiddled with her necklace while trying not to look at anything in the hospital hallways for fear she'd see something upsetting. "Thank you..." She whispered.
- Covet: Alright, I'll bring some scissors in for you, then. -He said calmly as he walked, with intent. He found the door he was looking for and hit the button for the door to pop open so they could go outside. Once out there he wheeled Bliss around to a corner as far from the hospital as he could possibly get her, which sadly wasn't that far.-
- Tsaaq: Bliss inhaled with ease and closed her eyes, feeling the breeze on her. "Thank you." She said with a nod then looked around the area with a frown forming on her lips again. "I don't know how you can even stay around all this somber and devastation." Bliss began to say.
- Covet: You're welcome -he said leaning down to give her a kiss on the temple, then give her shoulders a gentle squeeze- Hope. Someone has to remind you that it still exists. That companied with the fact that you are alive, and awake, and able to tell me these things...Besides, what kind of person would I be if I wasn't here for you?
- Tsaaq: "I don't know..." She answered him. "Being in the hospital really brings me down." Bliss said with a bit of distress in her voice. "I keep trying to figure out how I'm going to keep going on with my life without being able to walk? SGA, AGD, working at the comic book shop, being an RA." She listed off. "I can't fathom what I'm going to do. And I don't want you to be dragged down because of me." Bliss started to whimper.
- Covet: -He let go of her shoulders and moved around to face her- You're going to take it one day at a time, and there will be plenty of people willing to help you out, not just me. Being in a wheelchair doesn't have to slow you down. If anything it gives you an excuse to run people over. That being said, the people you do these things with, will understand that it's going to take some time, and will respect that. As for me...-he started brushing a few stray strands of hair out of her face- You're not dragging me down, Me human, great at adapting. -he said mocking a caveman trying to entertain her and get her to smile-
- Tsaaq: Bliss was looking as if she was were going to break into tears. She remained silent throughout his reply, feeling as if she'd be in a wheelchair forever and mostly thinking of that when he spoke. She let out a burdensome sigh. Bliss only cracked a smile at his imitation. "Jane, Tarzan, Jane." She said in a Brittish accent as she moved her hand to herself then to Eli then to herself once more.
- Covet: There's a glimps of that bright smile I've been missing. -He told her with a relieved smile of his own- It's going to be tough, we both know that, but I'm going to be here, encouraging you...cheering you on...and doing whatever I can to make this transition easier for you.
- Tsaaq: "I just don't know how I'll be able to handle being stuck in this contraption forever." Bliss said with a frown coming on her face again. "We should go back inside before my nurse or parents wonder where I am." She said while looking around then up at Eli.
- Covet: -Eli leaned in to give her another kiss on her forehead- You're strong, and capable of so much. I'm sure you'll surprise us both, My Dear. I'm going to say something blasphemous right now, but you're like an Oracle in training...-He said giving her a smile as he started to push her back towards the door and back inside, taking his time while they were outside, but making the trip through the halls a fast one for her-
- Tsaaq: ((I knew he'd say some shit like that lol!))
- Covet: [XD]
- Tsaaq: ((If it wasn't Oracle I was thinking Professor X.))
- Covet: [It was a toss up really....He was going to say professor X, but he's older...and male....etc, but Oracle is DC...so he feels like he's betraying is fandom]
- Tsaaq: Bliss sighed and covered her face with her hands from the reference and still the overwhemling thought of not being able to walk. "You can go home if you want. I would like you to stay and sleep here with me but I'm sure you miss your own bed?" She suggested looking up from her hands and seeing the hallway, resuming covering her eyes.
- Covet: Nah I can sleep anywhere, I know you don't like it here, So any comfort I can bring, makes me happy to stay. I'll head out early and catch a shower at the OCh before class in the morning. Sadly that much of my life has to go on...-he sighed- But I can pick up anything you'd like from school if you need. -he told her- and I'll message you tomorrow while I'm gone to help keep your spirits up too.
- Tsaaq: "My coursework probably..." Bliss said, since that's all she could really think of, she waved her hand at him and attempted to hoist herself into her bed. Having a fair share of difficulty before actually getting in the bed. Bliss sighed and turned on her side. "I'll think of something tomorrow." She whispered, closing her eyes.
- Covet: Alright. -He watched her try to get herself into bed as he moved the wheelchair out of the way and kicked off his shoes so he could crawl into the bed with her and hold her close as they drifted off to sleep together.-
- Tsaaq: ((sleeeeep time.))
