  1. [00:04] * Furret steps back in, panting through the three Sitrus berries he held by the stem in his maw. He lowers his head to place them in a pretty row on the ground, stepping back to present them. "...sh... sir..."
  2. [00:08] <Luxray> The ruffled fur along Luxray's ears twitched at the familiar sound speaking out once again after many a minute of silence, bading the nogging they were attached to to acknowledge his presence in the midst of finally having 'come to' in the process. By any means, the wait took much longer than usual, but in Luxray's stupor of tiredness seconds felt like minutes to begin with, so the exact wait time was known only to the ferret.
  3. [00:09] <Luxray> *minutes felt like seconds
  4. [00:10] <Luxray> The same tinge of movement in those pointed auditory receivers then moved down to his nose, the wet but smooth pad at the end of that bridge from his eyes bunching up on itself at the sudden scent of dry, sweet bitterness that lapped at his nostrils.
  5. [00:12] <Luxray> The lion brought himself rather lazily over to the presented row, the last of that withered energy finally releasing itself as his muscles finally found actual motion to kick them into gear, and brought his muzzle down to the rightmost one of the lateral pile, stopping but a few centimeters short of the oddly shaped skin as he sniffed it for both quality and scent.
  6. [00:15] <Furret> ...if they're not firm or sweet enough for you, I'll find others, master.
  7. [00:15] <Luxray> The first offered not much to the imagination, a rather plain example of the berry species at the most common stage that animals and trainers alike found it, only beginning to soften, perhaps nibbled once or twice by the blind eyes of a newborn wurmple before it decided the taste was too much for its growing palette of buds.
  8. [00:17] <Luxray> A movement to the second displayed a much more prominent and fresh scent to the Luxray's senses. Though his adjusting eyes still only saw the most generic details, the wafting essence of the fruit told its tale quite well enough, of how it had been picked at the peak of freshness, skin still firm, color vibrant, no doubt holding quite the abundance of liquid nectar inside. By comparison, the first was still a consumable item, but more of a "commoner" object at best.
  9. [00:17] <Luxray> the first was still a consumable item, but more of a "commoner" object at best.
  10. [00:19] <Luxray> The heavy laden scent of that freshness was mixed, however, with an odd smell that eminated from the third and final one of the group, one that was just subtle enough to escape the less defined nose of the faithful servant who had presented them, yet just barely registered on the scale to Luxray's prodding mind. It was by all means edible still, but it was obvious it had been tampered with.
  11. [00:20] <Luxray> Presumably, a wandering Beautifly had come upon it in hours past, and placed a small amount of digestive fluid against the inside after prodding through it with its proboscis, departing soon after to allow it time to fester before it would return to hopefully enjoy its liquid-solid meal. Not so anymore, for that meal now sat before the wakened feline glancing over all 3.
