  1. Going into Ferrum's tent, the inside revealed itself to be much more like a house, and very, very much affected by a certain wizard's immense arcana; the properties on the inside changed to not only be bigger, but more homely on the inside. On the bright side, it worked as a decent crafting station.
  2.
  3. "Do-dodo.. aha.. So, let me look at my notes briefly. What's the name of your.. future, fiance, by the way?" He questions, pausing- briefly. Ferrum looks around his forge for a few moments, before producing the crafting components that he'd told him to get.
  4.
  5. Thankfully, there was enough to work with whatever they'd need. "Would you prefer a Silver or Gold band, as well?"
  6. (Ferrum)
  7. ----
  8. Kent followed Ferrum into the tent, staggering ever so slightly, as was to be expected for some time until he actually rested... Though the color was beginning to return to his face as he stood around in the tent, catching his breath.
  9.
  10. "Kyra" Kent told him.
  11.
  12. "As for that... Silver. She's a rather... down to earth woman." Kent said with a shrug.
  13.
  14. Kyra would probably prefer silver, Kent thought anyway.
  15. (Kent Lycia)
  16. ----
  17. "Kyra," he spoke. "Never met her.."
  18.
  19. In the meantime, Ferrum takes a few pieces of silver- beginning to grind them down, and allowing for the metal to eventually forge into a ring shape with carefulness- and deftness. A small, tiny blade with a touch of his water magic sands it down, if only slightly, whilst also cutting it at high pressures while he sits in a stool.
  20.
  21. Ferrum breathed in lightly. He'd been wanting to do it for some time!
  22.
  23. "Alright. Now, I need you to come closer." He explains, lightly, gesturing for the man to come closer. "You're as important as my part is in this forging process!" Ferrum explained, simply.
  24.
  25. The Tempest Core,
  26. Amber,
  27. and Butterfly Wings are put on display.
  28.
  29. "These three items are unique, as they're never used in Lapidary. Perhaps in an amulet, you might find a piece of amber, but traditionally, there's no recipes used to make anything with them. But I figured.. why not?
  30.
  31. Amber is ancient, the resin is old; it stands the test of time, much like the vows of a marriage. As well as that..
  32.
  33. There's no doubt that it embodies the very place that you took it."
  34.
  35. He begins to melt the Resin- in a light pot, while turning to Kent. Now, it was time for the Tempest Core.
  36.
  37. "The Air Elemental is unpredictable, powerful, and old. However, Wind magic is.. my specialty. It carries words upon the wind, magic, mana, everything..."
  38.
  39. Ferrum begins to grind that, too. Eventually? It comes into the shape of a small gemstone, meant to be placed into the ring once the band itself was prepared!
  40.
  41. "Kent, come closer." He declared. With a tiny, fine scribe, he seems to write small words into the core-- now made into a faceted gemstone of some merit, and Ferrum quietly chants.
  42.
  43. "O, votum aeternitatis! Pignus meum tibi, nunc et in perpetuum!
  44.
  45. Arcana, Anima! Message of the Lover!" He finished chanting-- invoking some sort of spell as a light blue mana breezes past the both of them, though mostly toward Kent.
  46.
  47. "Tell me, Kent. Why do you want to wed Kyra..?" He inquires.
  48. (Ferrum)
  49. -----
  50. Most people had not actually met her. She mostly kept to herself, something Kent was slowly bringing her out of. He shrugged his shoulder, somewhat staggering over to Ferrum, standing by his side.
  51.
  52. Each of the items... He smiled at them each one. Each gathered with his wife... Under different pretext of course so she did not catch on...
  53.
  54. "Mmm... Air is the... polar opposite of what I use." Kent stated, being a Geomancer, the spirit of the wind... was so different from the spirit of the earth he knew.
  55.
  56. Once again he was drawn in closer by Ferrum, watching very closely to the fine words the lapidarist was writing and etching.
  57.
  58. "Yae, the wish of Eternity. My pledge to you, now and forever." Kent muttered under his breath.
  59.
  60. "Ah... Why am I marrying Kyra..." Kent tapped his chin.
  61.
  62. "I do not know if you believe in love at first sight... I can recall... My first day I came to Providence. Everyone there, I ended up with a blindfold over my eyes... Then I remember hearing her voice... It was so beautiful... I had to see her, so I did." Kent said with a nod.
  63.
  64. "Then... When I did. I saw a piece of myself... Odd... perhaps... Though. It was like believing you are whole piece... Until you see the half of yourself that you did not know existed." Kent told him.
  65.
  66. "We started dating... and it was like... It was like we were old friends. Like we have done this before. We both agree there is no one else for us. Call it lovestruck fools, or romantic fantasies.." Kent told him.
  67.
  68. "It's hard to put a real reason on it. Though... I suppose she is -literally- my soul mate." Kent said with a small chuckle, not one for this kind of talk.
  69. (Kent Lycia)
  70. ----
  71. In the meantime, little pieces of his own magic work to melt the amber so that he can fill in the light etchings of the gemstone, of the inscription on the underside, and write some sort of message for her to read once it was all finished in 'gold', though this was a magically enriched gold.. also known as amber!!
  72.
  73. The air itself seems still, and tense, and quiet while he speaks. The very words that he whispers are heard on the wind- not a second after he speaks them, before almost seeming to be absorbed into the ring. Ferrum nods along, and channels his magic- for some time, as Kent continues with that story. A light pause comes as he finished.
  74.
  75. "..That was actually very sweet," he declared, pausing- briefly, before finishing the spell itself.
  76.
  77. "verba mea in aeternum, signata in aeternum." He finished chanting, allowing the words spoken to embed themselves within the ring's gemstone- a centerpiece upon it as he lowers it into the holder.
  78.
  79. ".. And now, a drop of your blood to seal your pledge." He declared; offering a small pin to the man. "It will soak the butterfly wings, allowing for their magic to be bound to you and your promise." He explained. In the meantime, Ferrum takes the two, collected pieces, placing them on either side of the ring while he carves out two spots for them to sit.
  80.
  81. "Butterflies are enriched with magic as well, and something that carries on the wind. I promise you, once this craft is finished, you'll have the finest, luxurious rings known to Sarea."
  82.
  83. It would certainly be one of the most unique he'd have ever seen. He waits for the pin to return to him.
  84. (Ferrum)
  85. ----
  86. One might consider Kent to be unfeeling, much as a Geomancer who has really taken to his magic... Though. The Earth felt like all others. Volcanos... The Caldera, was a literal manifestation of the Earths capacity for intensity... Whether it be sheer violence, or a love so deep he could drown in it.
  87.
  88. A drop of Kents blood.... Where was Ferrums old cloak when they needed it.
  89.
  90. Kent sort of just stared at the needle for a moment. To make it easier on himself he merely brought his thumb up, biting into the flesh on his thumbprint, opening it enough to bleed, what little blood he probably has left. A quick drop as he held his left hand out over the butterfly wings. A quick flame sealed up his thumb with a sizzle.
  91.
  92. "Such a common creature... Yet with so much hidden potential." Kent said, admiring the actual uses of a butterfly. They seemed so moot, yet there were many ways one could produce something of worth with them.
  93.
  94. "I never could bring myself to kill them... Rather these were collected from a couple that had finally passed away." Kent said with a small smile, remembering how he acquired them. Perhaps it was rather fitting.
  95.
  96. A pair of butterflies that had passed of age together, to now serve a use as something that would represent such a thing. Truly, a beautiful thing.
  97. (Kent Lycia)
  98. ----
  99. With a drop of his blood, Ferrum breathes lightly as a layer of frost embeds the blood into the wings; the magic of the butterfly, even, was unique and ancient; a piece used for potions, and even some types of armor.. Now, it would be used to create a band of eternal promise.
  100.
  101. "Once more, perfect. The method in which you gather these things will contribute to the ring's.. ability." He declared. There's a light pause as he nods to himself, thinking- briefly. Slowly, it's all set- the wings on either side of the Tempest Diamond, the silver band glittering in the dimly lit room, and the amber which he fills in- slowly, allowing for it to recondense.
  102.
  103. On the underside of the ring, it reads "Votum Aeternitatis" in a rich, golden color, and on the bottom of the ring, Ferrum's own initials are inscribed as some sort of maker's mark.
  104.
  105. "It will need to rest, for a few hours- perhaps, days. I will bring it to you once the product is finished!" He declared. "They usually don't use these types of magic, so it needs to adjust to it."
  106.
  107. Ferrum seems a bit proud of himself, at the very least!
  108. (Ferrum)
