Big Buffalo

When Rarity and friends meet the Buffalo, their lives are quickly transformed into a living representation of 1984! A race of Buffalo who worship a mysterious leader named Big Buffalo invade the personal lives of the Ponies by the seemingly innocent sale of extra Horseshoes to the Ponies. Just how long has Buffalo society been ruled by Big Buffalo? No one knows. Find out in this literary fanfic.

Chapter 1
Rarity needed a bigger-sized sweatshirt for her Princess outfit, but the shop only had size 3. “This is seriously annoying,” she thought, and selected the next category on “Ponykin.com,” her favorite shopping site.

The Ponykin.com store found a wide range of merchants from across Ponyland for its inventory. “What a great price on Horseshoes,” thought Rarity. The Horseshoes were only 2.50 Pony Rubies for each set of 4. “I could easily trot in the Chimpanzee Indoor Garden with these! I’ll need to show my friends what a sweet deal this is.”

Rarity wondered how the price could be so cheap. The horseshoes must be surplus. She wondered if anything was defective about them. “A real steal! Horseshoes would really improve my standard of living,” she thought. She gave up on the Princess outfit and entered her Pony Card information after adding two sets of the Horseshoes to her cart.

She shopped a little more by checking out other items in the merchant’s inventory. They also sold Glass Bottles, Paperclips, Donut Holes, Fishery Items, and an item called “Victory Coffee,” curiously enough. The merchant was named “Big Buffalo.”

The Horseshoes would arrive in 5-7 days by Stork, said the confirmation page on Ponykin.com. However, the Horseshoes’ actual arrival would be very, very strange for the Ponykin. They were delivered by a neat Buffalo which claimed it worked for Big Buffalo. The delivery of the stylish Horseshoes would mark the beginning of an experience Rarity and friends will never soon forget, and barely survived. The Buffalo were a race which had been in the grips of an extremely repressive Socialist Government. Soon, Rarity and friends would have just two things on their minds. The omni-present eye of the telescreens, and the revolutionary phrase:
