Welcome friends and family! Thank you all for coming. We are gathered here today to witness the union of Jeffery and Jamie.

Today is the beginning of a remarkable journey for these two. Drawing on their mutual admiration, smart-assed-ness, love, and trust, they are FINALLY ready to embark on the next chapter in their lives. We have come to celebrate the love and light evident in their relationship, and wish them well on this long-awaited occasion.

If anyone has cause to object to the forming of this union, speak now or...just kidding, you've had like 15 years. Shh.

Marriage is an integral part of the human tradition. Let us remember, as we stand here before the Universe, that the vows taken today hold great importance. As individuals, we make the choice to enter the union of marriage in order to share all aspects of ourselves with our soulmate. Today, this is true for Jeffery and Jamie.

There are few greater joys in life than finding someone with whom we truly "click." Author Richard Bach so eloquently stated: "A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we're pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we're safe in our own paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we're two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we've found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life."
