  10. **** Grieving Families Demand Justice From the U. S. Department of Justice ****
  11.
  12.
  13. What: Families of police crime victims file complaint with Eric Holder, U. S. Attorney General
  14.
  15. When: 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 27, 2014
  16.
  17. Where: Federal Building, 219 S. Dearborn St.
  18.
  19. Why:
  20.
  21. * Because 90 people have been murdered by Chicago Police since the start of 2009, 93 per cent of whom were non-white.
  22.
  23. * Because many others have been murdered in Chicago suburbs by police
  24.
  25. * Because police have tortured hundreds of men and imprisoned them based on false confessions.
  26.
  27. * Because most of these men remain in prison, many serving life sentences, in an on-going conspiracy to deprive people of
  28. their basic rights.
  29.
  30. * Because the murders and torture continue.
  31.
  32. * Because the Cook County State's Attorney has done nothing to arrest or prosecute these criminals who hide behind the
  33. color of law.
  34.
  35. * Because police crimes are a national epidemic and threaten the security of our nation, as demonstrated in the last two
  36. weeks in Ferguson, MO.
  37.
  38.
  39. Immediately following the delivery of the formal letter of complaint signed by 65 members of families of police crime victims, to U. S. Attorney Zachary Fardon for delivery to Eric Holder, the family members will speak to news media outside the Federal Building at Jackson and Dearborn Streets.
