Urara Meirochou Summary

Volume 7 & Main Plot

•	The God of Meirochou is the town itself.
•	They curse Urara who use the power of Gods (divination) to try to find the identity of the Gods. The cursed Urara become the black "ghost", the black thingy that Chiya and friend encountered many times before, who called Chiya "child of traitor".
•	The cursed Urara disappear from the real world, including from the everyone's memories, and every trace of clue about their identity and Gods' are destroyed too. That's why nobody can remember Yami, not even her best friends, Setsu (Chiya's foster parent) and Tokie (Kon's mom)
•	Yami (Chiya's mom) and Kurou (the black rabbit) were cursed too
•	Yami was cursed because she "betrayed" the God by having a child. Yami was a Rank 1 Urara, and Rank 1 Urara is technically the bride of the Gods.
•	Yami was a princess of some country at divine mountain. She had Clairvoyance ability (her Red Eye) that can see the futures. One day she was ordered to participate in a political marriage with an old king. She didn't like it, so she ran away from home and went to Meirochou, which she liked because she can feel normal there since it's not strange to be able to see the future (divination) in Meirochou
•	Yami was a total alpha cool playboy with mysterious vibe and Tokie of course fell in love with her, but Tokie got ntr'd by Kurou (Chiya's dad), the only male character in the series.
•	Kurou, a total ikemen that has this light novel black haired self-insert protagonist vibe has the same eyes as Yami, red eyes that can see the futures. The village folks disliked him and he became a traveler and someday he arrived at Meirochou. He met Yami during her Rank 1 Urara promotion ceremony and they got closer with each other overtime.
•	Her relationship is kinda similar to Zeref and Mavis from Fairy Tail. They both look similar to them too, especially Kurou.
•	Yami was a busy woman and Kurou went back to travelling, and stopped by Meirochou every now and then to visit Yami as a customer, paying with souvenir (and most likely his dick too). They must've fucked a lot.
•	Eventually Yami disappeared because she was bearing Chiya. the Gods cured Yami for betraying them and Kurou for snatching Yami from them. Yami's body was kept in the depth of the labyrinth and Kurou became the black rabbit that helped Chiya every now and then, without self-consciousness
•	Back to Chiya and friends, because they saw the truth of the Gods, they were cursed as well except Chiya, because her red eye divination technically doesn't count as "divination" / borrowing the power of Gods.
•	Chiya gang and their friends and moms worked together to find where Kurou (and technically Yami and the Gods as well) were located using big crystal divination. The friends and moms were holding off the black ghost while Chiya gang went deeper into the labyrinth, but in the end, only Chiya can proceed with the help of Kurou, who can talk now and told Chiya all the long flashback that I wrote above to Chiya. Chiya and Kurou then reached the underground and met the Gods (voice only) and Yami's sleeping fully black, cursed body, before waking her up for happy family reunion.
•	Info-dump that Meirochou could only exist with Rank 1 Urara that works to maintain the balance. If there's no Rank 1 Urara, then the town will be destroyed. Yami became Rank 1 Urara to save the city and her Urara friends, despite disliking having to follow her fate to do it. The Gods had informed this to Yami ever since the first time she came to the town. I think all the stuff with Kurou was just her trying to escape her boring and stressful life as Rank 1 Urara.
•	The Gods agreed to lift the curse from Chiya's friends and parents (I'm not sure if they also lifted the curses of all the other cursed Urara or not. They didn't show it on screen), but in exchange, Chiya has to become Rank 1 Urara in the future.
•	Yami and Kurou tried to stop Chiya, but Chiya accepted the offer from the Gods. It said that Chiya did this because "she wanted to" and "she chose this path" and not because "she's fated to do so" like what Yami's did. So, everyone's curses were lifted and Chiya family escaped the labyrinth.
•	Yami and Kurou's entire existences were only maintained because of the curse, so when the curses disappeared, they also disappeared. They said that it's better than living as a black "ghost" forever. Apparently, even the Gods can't undo the curses if the cursed ones were already totally consumed by it, unlike Chiya's friends who wasn't fully cursed before the curses were lifted.
•	Yami and Kurou then bid their farewell to Chiya before disappearing into thin air.


7 Years Timeskip Epilogue

•	Chiya with her new strong resolution, became a Rank 1 Urara ahead of everyone, according to Kon's narration.
•	Nono is a Rank 5 Urara and a teacher at Natsume-ya, Tsubaki-sensei lives together with her when she's free. By the way, at the final labyrinth, while holding off the black ghost, Tsubaki proposed to Nono "Let's get married after you come back!". It looked like a gag panel, but maybe she was serious after all.
•	Koume is a Rank 4 Urara and she's been travelling with Mary as an apprentice witch for 2 years after she apparently failed her Rank 3 Urara exam and cried a lot.
•	Omi is a Rank 2 Urara and became the successor of Tatsumi-ya (Kon's mom school). She's aiming to become very rich and famous as usual.
•	Saku's lesbian underlings are still safeguarding Rank 10 District
•	Nina-sensei, now a Rank 3 Urara is continuing her study while opening a tea shop there and living together with Saku, who's working as a guard of Rank 3 District. Koume and Nono commented how that's HARENCHI. Saku also commented how  Nono living with Tsubaki is also HARENCHI!
•	Kon apparently got an asspull and her divination is somehow as good as Chiya's clairvoyance now after training together with Chiya. She got promoted to Rank 1 Urara and her divination is "Kitsune Crystal Ball" divination, literally, since the Kitsune spirit now inhabits the crystal ball, can speak, and also very cute. The crystal ball became famous very quickly after Kon's Rank 1 Urara promotion ceremony where the Kitsune spirit made Kon act cute and funny against her will.
•	In the end, Kon vowed to help Chiya by her side, helping her carry the burden of being Rank 1 Urara, the position equal to the Gods, to solve Meirochou's mysteries together. I think it's mostly about lifting the curses that befell traitors Urara.
•	Both vowed that they'll be together forever. Koume joked that that sounded like they were married now.


tl;dr It's all thanks to Kurou for flirting with Yami too much and got her pregnant that this whole thing happened.
