/akg/ VGLXX Poll Results

After removing 2 responses (neither answered any of the verification questions at all), there were 176 responses to the poll that passed verification.

The following players have been CUT due to not receiving enough Keep votes to surpass other options:
 - La Cucaracha (sprayed with RAID)
 - Suzuran is our Light! (now comes the Age of Dark)
 - Pillar Correction (you have to let go, mandybros)
 - Pedicabo Ego Vos Et Irrumabo (eggs all gone)

The following players will be ADDED due to receiving more Add votes than other options:
 - Evil Woman (stupid sexy women)
 - Nyes Byuffs (yeah that module really fixed her am I right bros)
 - Zhang Leakerman (he lives on in divegrass)
 - Ulpipianus (flings himself onto the roster)
 - Red Katana Bro (back for his revenge)

On the subject of the goalkeeper, Myrtle will retain her position as BLOCK CERO with 121 votes (Elysium was second place with 23 votes, it was no contest). For name changes, WageGOD remains Młynar's name with 132 votes and doko remains Red's name with 87 votes. Fiammetta would've been changed to Liberi Eggs and Suzuran would've remained Suzuran is our Light! had they stayed on the roster. The characters representing Cutest Cripple will now be W and Kal with 52 votes, and, as was warned, this also means that Operation Barrenwomb has been cut from the roster (hence why there are 5 new/returning players listed above). Shining and Nightingale were second place but only had 31 votes. Ho'olheyak will be the model for Evil Woman after getting 78 votes (Eblana got 31 and Gertrude got 8).

Along with these, line-up and positioning has changed some. Doctor and Amiya continue to retain their Gold medals and Młynar and Lappland keep their Silver medals as well. However, Irene will lose her Silver medal and be handing it back to SilverAsh as she moves to the bench.

Interesting notes about the poll and poll results:
 > ZERO SANITY once again got the least Remove votes of all: 3. Donkey got 16 Remove votes. Both got less Remove votes than they did last poll.
 > WageGOD and The Best were actually tied for 3rd place, as they both got 140 Keep votes. Silver and gold (as silver).
 > It was probably just the way the poll was done this time, but this is the first time since VGL15 that another non-medal player technically surpassed BLOCK CERO in terms of votes. BLOCK CERO as Myrtle received 121 votes, while The Tyrant received 128 Keep votes.
 > doko has officially become the new HellaCHAD by just barely making it onto the roster again. She only had one more positive vote over the next potential player, hehe pinus, with 100 Keep over pinus's 99 Add. However, this still would not have been enough to stay on the roster, but, because Kal'tsit was told to go sit in a wheelchair with a neck wound, one more slot opened up for Red to slip into.
 > Had they made the roster, Pozëmka would've been You Will Never Be a Real Durin, Eblana would've been El Banana, Flametail would've been hehe pinus, Horn would've been Stand-Up Rita, Stainless would've been Niche Subclass to the Strongest in the World, Blemishine would've been BLEMISHED, Muelsyse would've been Around Elves Watch Yourselves, and Blaze would've been My Best Friend Blaze.
 > Everyone who made the roster not only once again had more Keep/Add votes than Remove/Don't Add votes, but they also all had triple digit Keep/Add votes, with doko's 100 Keep votes being the lowest. Six players had more Keep/Add votes than Remove/Don't Add votes but couldn't fit onto the roster: Sona (99), Stainless (98), Blaze (98), Theresis (97), W (96), and Eblana (90).

 > The most popular new addition was Evil Woman with 117 total Add votes. Second place was Nyes Byuffs with 111 Add votes.
 > The least popular cut player from the roster was by far Pedicabo Ego Vos Et Irrumabo with 127 Remove votes. She, along with Suzuran and Mandragora, are the only three formers players that got more Remove votes than Keep votes.
 > The least popular potential new player was silent2 with a staggering 164 Don't Add votes. Second place was Catbird with 155 Don't Add votes.
 > There was mostly just one gradual wave of result swings this time around, with some players like Banana Council, A FUCKING JERBOA, and ALL x3 being in the positive early before ending in the negative, while others like La Cucaracha, Pink Dog, My Best Friend Blaze, and Nyes Byuffs being in the negative early before ending in the positive.

Music Updates:
None! There are no music updates! Again! Golden Age Will Return Again will remain the anthem with 87 votes (second place was a tie between March On and Infected with 25 votes each), Blade will remain the default goalhorn with 100 votes (second place was Minima with 41 votes), and Radiant will remain the default victory anthem with 56 votes (second place was Running in the Dark with 40 votes). Wasn't even a contest yet again.

Ball Update:
There will, however, be a new ball: Platato. With 84 votes, Platato has been chosen to be the new /akg/ ball over second-placer Crownslayer and her 63 votes. So this does mean that Platato will be both a player and the ball.

Finally, the verification questions had the following answers:
 - The "correct" answer for filling the blanks in "Dios mio (___ ___)" was "My goodness", which comes from Greyy the Lightningbearer's recruitment line and was the focal point of shitposting over the translators' weird decision to start putting English translations for non-English phrases in the dialogue now. Only 43 people got this answer correct, with 16 getting close (or guessing based on the actual translation of dios mio) by answering "my god". 32 people thought it was a reference to the /int/ Amerimutt meme with variations of "la creatura", "la cucaracha", "la ifrita", etc. 6 people went with "el gran silencio". Shout-out to the guy who said Iberia isn't real.
 - 79 people pointed out that Cutter is better, she is better. 14 said Ch'en is better, she is better. 6 said Archetto is better, she is better. Shout-outs to the guy who said Tachanka is better, she is better, and also to the guy convinced he was going to get all the questions wrong.
 - In the poll for VGL14, the worst 6* was determined to be Skadi (Guard). In the poll for VGL17, the worst 6* was determined to be Passenger. Now, in this poll for VGLXX, the worst 6* has been determined to be... Rosmontis. Technically. Rosmontis was picked by 52 poll responders, however 6 of these responders specifically pointed out that they meant pre-module Rosmontis, and some of them even gave an additional answer besides her. If you consider Rosmontis is getting her module and thus exclude those 6 picks, then she would have less than the second placer... Vigil, who had 48 people picking him. So it's either Rosmontis or Vigil depending on how you look at it. Third place was Your Favorite/Wife with 14, fourth place was Shining with 11, and fifth place was a tie between Hellagur, Blemishine, and Stainless with 6. Shout-outs to the one guy who said Mostima and the one guy who said Everyone but Mostima.

Thanks to everybody who responded to the poll as per usual, your support and interest is appreciated as always. The first day of VGLXX proper could be either the 2nd or 9th of June, depending on how many teams in total sign up, and info on who /akg/'s opponents will be will come after the draw on May 28th or June 3rd (again, depending on the number of teams). The managers will definitely supply you with more information as it comes, and also share some of the other updates that should be coming like the stadium getting an overhaul, some pre-planned model updates, and so forth. Your suggestions have been forwarded to them as well, and feel free to suggest more things to them up to the event. See you all in a month, Golden Age etc. etc. kill all seaborn.
