Oran Logs, Just Because

-[ 22:04.14 ]- - Nephene finishes washing what seems to be the last of the dishes, before yet another new stack is set next to the sink.
-[ 22:05.37 ]- - @Raven enters quietly, worn out and heavy eyed. She heads to the counter and slacks onto a barstool, resting her head on the bartop.
-[ 22:07.43 ]- - Nephene sighs. "Something the matter, Raven?"
-[ 22:09.44 ]- -( Nephene ): The innkeeper dries her hands, leaving the new stack of dishes for the moment.
-[ 22:10.26 ]- -( @Raven ): She looks up, "Stressed. Sat down today to do some paper work, and it finally hit me that I've been neglecting a few matters a bit too long."
-[ 22:11.34 ]- -( Nephene ): "Such as?" She pulls up a bar stool on her side of the counter, and seats herself across from Raven, resting her elbows on the bartop.
-[ 22:14.54 ]- -( @Raven ): She picks up a hangbag and puts it in her lap, rummaging through it. "It's been almost two months since the bandit attack at the Spring festival. And about a month since Claud helped me question that wizardly fellow I got locked up, and got this out of him." She pulls out a map, and puts it on the bartop.

-[ 22:16.20 ]- -( Nephene ): "Are these....?"
-[ 22:16.29 ]- -( Nephene ): She considers for a moment. "Their hideouts?"
-[ 22:17.50 ]- -( @Raven ): "If what that guy told us is accurate, yes. And then my day just got worse when I heard about what happened out in the barrens east of town a few days ago." she sighs and burries her head into the bartop again.

-[ 22:19.49 ]- -( @Raven ): "Oh, so he told you about how he and a few of the younger villagers pissed off a lair of garchomps?"

-[ 22:23.41 ]- -( Nephene ): "Ah, yes," she says, nodding. "Why they'd want to look for a Gible in such a dangerous place, though...."

-[ 22:29.48 ]- -( @Raven ): She picks herself up and puzzles over the map. "To be honest I've really been dreading this, wanted to try to get a few more full times on the watch before seriously bringing it up. I can't just ignore this information; I have to plan an attack."

-[ 22:31.04 ]- -( Nephene ): "And if anyone's paying any attention to the town, it's easy enough to know we're up to something."

-[ 22:32.54 ]- -( @Raven ): She shakes her head. "There's no way we can just sit on our hands and let them keep plundering the town as they see fit. But...yeah, I don't see many ways we could even plan this quietly, assuming we had the manpower, which we don't."

-[ 22:34.29 ]- -( Nephene ): "Someone has to go out there and maybe get some help...from the city, if we have to."
-[ 22:35.18 ]- -( @Raven ): She laughs sadly. "Isn't that the funny part though? I'm the support they sent out from the city, all of it."
-[ 22:36.37 ]- -( Nephene ): "Maybe you can convince them to bring more. Surely it's worth a try."
-[ 22:39.48 ]- -( @Raven ): She rests a hand on her chin, propping her head up. "I'm afraid of disapointing my father if he catches word of that. Which he probably would. But..."

-[ 22:48.45 ]- -( @Raven ): "I'm just glad I got someone to vent about this to. I dunno what I'd do without you or your brother being here, Nephene."

Nice as it is to just handle my daily rounds, then tease your brother the rest of the day, this is something that's gotta be addressed," either way she rolls up the map and sticks it back in her bag. "Well, hopefully they won't attack at the swimming festival, and litterally catch us with our pants down."

-[ 22:58.12 ]- -( @Raven ): She drums her fingers on the tabletop. "So enough about the security concerns of the town for now. I've been puzzling over something for a few days now."

-[ 23:21.34 ]- -( @Raven ): "I don't imagine you think that way about Henry just because he's a lot younger then us, and flirty to almost every girl in town. Doubt it's most the others too, I dunno what you thought of that Canute guy," she gestures to the piano. "I wasn't there when you met."

-[ 00:02.32 ]- - Nephene motions upstairs. "Amon, mind taking care of things here for a bit? I'll be back soon." The Lucario only replies with a begrudging grunt, and gets to work on the dishes.
-[ 00:03.13 ]- -( @Raven ): She gets up from the barstool. "Makes sense, I mean if it's just the two of you in a large building like this."
-[ 00:05.47 ]- - Nephene heads upstairs, and makes a right to get to her room at the end of the hall.

-[ 00:07.23 ]- - Nephene unlocks the door, revealing the master bedroom.
-[ 00:09.45 ]- -( Nephene ): It's a surprisingly well-decorated place compared to the Slaking as a whole; the bedroom has a distinct Eastern flair, down to the changing screen situated in the corner, right by the queen-sized bed.

-[ 00:11.37 ]- -( Nephene ): Two collections stand out - an array of plush Pokemon sit on a shelf, providing a variety of colors and expressions to the room. Two of them - a Teddiursa and a Torchic, both of which are about half the size of the pillows on the bed they rest on - show signs of being well-hugged and loved even today, probably to the innkeeper's embarrassment.
-[ 00:13.37 ]- -( @Raven ): She heads over to the plush Pokemon collection and giggles. "I never fancied you to like plushies, Neph, being so big and mature and all."
-[ 00:14.15 ]- -( Nephene ): The other is a small set of three music boxes, all still polished to a silver sheen next to a large mirror. Each has a distinctive design - a calm, serene Gardevoir motif for one, a blazing Ho-Oh for another, and the last depicting a collection of bug Pokemon drawn in an Eastern style. The last of these is still open.

-[ 00:15.03 ]- -( Nephene ): "Most of them are from when I was a kid. Particularly Claws and Blazie over there," she says, gesturing to the Teddiursa and Torchic on the bed, respectively.
-[ 00:15.50 ]- -( Nephene ): "Claws was the first. My mom gave him to me after a rough day."
-[ 00:17.48 ]- -( Nephene ): Her closet is still half-open. Most of her clothing consists of rather plain dresses, none of which have particularly striking colors, but the odd outfit still shows up on the rack - a martial artists' gi here, a qipao there.
-[ 00:18.10 ]- -( @Raven ): "I see," she says with another laugh, poking at Claws, she looks to the music boxes briefly, then follows over to the closet.
-[ 00:18.59 ]- -( Nephene ): Even if his fur is a little faded with age and a child's love, Claws keeps his contented expression.
-[ 00:20.21 ]- -( Nephene ): "The swimsuits should be down here," Nephene notes, pulling out a drawer at the foot of the closet. "and the older ones should be at the bottom. Maybe you'll find something you'll like."
-[ 00:21.37 ]- -( Nephene ): "You can change behind the screen over there." She points at said screen - a lovely lacquer fold depicting a Sceptile in the midst of a bamboo forest, finding peace.
-[ 00:21.54 ]- -( @Raven ): She nods and kneels down to look over them closer, "It doesn't have to be anything special, but let's see..."
-[ 00:25.45 ]- -( @Raven ): She carefully shuffles the items on the top aside, knowing they won't fit. Lower down she finds a few that seem a bit older. Most of them onepieces of assorted colors. She picks out a black one near the bottom to inspect, and...below it finds a pink, frilly bikini hidden at the bottom of the drawer.

-[ 00:26.25 ]- -( @Raven ): She stiffles a laugh as she walks over to the changing screen with the black one piece. "Are you surethat one's old, or are you just trying to hide it?"
-[ 00:26.26 ]- -( Nephene ): "The one-pieces are more likely not to fit, but maybe with a bit of alteration...."
-[ 00:26.40 ]- -( Nephene ): "Forget that one! Find something else!"
-[ 00:27.11 ]- -( @Raven ): "Oh fine I was thinkin' I'm mostly all legs so it might work but let's see," she goes back to digging.
-[ 00:31.01 ]- -( @Raven ): After a bit more ruffling around and uncovering a few more hidden two pieces, each more embarassing then the last, she finds something interesting "Oh hey you shoulda just mentioned something like this to begin with," she pulls out a much more modest two piece. "What would you call the top to this thing...a...tankini?" It looks as she named it, like a tanktop of sorts.

-[ 00:33.14 ]- -( @Raven ): She looks over it as she heads over to the dressing screen with the piece. It's rather normal, monocolored and red. "This is pretty appropriate for a lifeguard...let's see..."

-[ 00:37.40 ]- -( Nephene ): "That one looks pretty good, but....perhaps you can do better, unless red's really your color."
-[ 00:38.28 ]- -( @Raven ): "I'll try on the black one then," she steps behind again, returning a little bit later with the black one piece, striking a silly, flirty pose. "And this one?"
-[ 00:38.51 ]- -( Nephene ): She doesn't have -that- many swimsuits to hunt through, so she quickly settles on a maroon bikini, with matching floral sarong.

-[ 00:43.05 ]- -( @Raven ): "I mean if you picked it out it's worth a shot!" She snatches it up and changes again, returning with another flirtatious pose. "And now?"

-[ 00:45.08 ]- -( @Raven ): "Hmmm wish Claud were home suddenly, I'd pick whatever one he preferred," She returns behind the screen to get changed back into her normal attire

-[ 00:53.12 ]- -( @Raven ): "Wear the more practical lifeguard wear...or...the flashier one - oh wait I'm supposed to be punishing him, yeah, the one piece for sure," she says with a little cackle.
-[ 00:55.14 ]- -( @Raven ): She fixes up Nephene's drawer, and folds up the one piece to place in her bag. "Thanks again for always being so helpful, Nephene. I'd be royally screwed without you here. Just wish you'd let me help you a little as well..."
-[ 00:55.47 ]- -( Nephene ): "I'll be alright. Just have fun at the swimming contest."
-[ 00:56.31 ]- -( @Raven ): "Do you not plan on showing up at all? Like I said, I'm not competing, just gonna be there in case I need to drag someone out."

-[ 01:00.07 ]- -( @Raven ): "Oh! Then that's one less person I have to worry about drowning then!" She says as she heads toward the stairs. "I'll see you there then, and don't worry about Claud running off to do something reckless without consulting anyone again ; I got the perfect medicine for that," she says with another laugh as she heads downstairs.

-[ 01:02.49 ]- -( Nephene ): Really, though, if his older sister can't stop him, she wonders what Raven can do. She leads downstairs as well.
-[ 01:05.40 ]- -( @Raven ): "It's nothing bad. I'm not going to hurt him, but he won't be happy about it ; I'll show you it one day buuuut, I don't think it'd have the same affect on him if you did it."

-[ 01:08.21 ]- -( @Raven ): "It's more of what I'm notgoing to do. You remember the thing I asked Henry to help me accessorize? Welllll, let's just say Claud's really fond of it," she says peevishly.
-[ 01:12.27 ]- -( Nephene ): "...oh, dear. You're going to deny him a little skin?"
-[ 01:14.43 ]- -( @Raven ): "Pretty much! We'll see what he thinks of that now shall we?" she laughs again. "I think I've bugged you long enough though, Nephene. I'll leave you be for now!"
-[ 01:15.34 ]- -( Nephene ): "Ah, alright...." she says, taking her place behind the counter, and rotating in for dishwashing duty. "Come back soon, though!"
-[ 01:18.21 ]- -( @Raven ): "Will do, as always. Can't rid yourself of me that easily. Probably even less so soonish. And don't be surprised if I show up to drag you off again. I have tons of fun ideas in store!" She says as she heads out.
