Honda Masanobu Generic Event

Within Owari Castle is a secret underground room. It is unknown to all except the lord of the Oda clan, Nobunaga, the foreigner Rance and one or two other top retainers. Inside, Rance and Honda Masanobu laugh maniacally.

Rance: Gahahahahahah!

Honda Masanobu: Mwahahahahahahahaha!

Rance: This is great! This is really great! I was skeptical at first, but these strategies are excellent.

Honda Masanobu: Yes my lord...now how about this one. Ah, but wait! The walls have ears. Come a bit closer...

Masanobu whispers something in Rance's ear.

Rance: Gahahahahaha! I love it.

Honda Masanobu: With this, our enemies will never know what hit them. Anybody who even so much as looked at you or me the wrong way will wish they had never been born!

Rance: You're surprisingly vindictive for a tanuki, but that's actually pretty useful. Everybody in Owari fears me now. Soon all of JAPAN will fear me! Gahahahaha!

Honda Masanobu: My dreams are slowly coming to fruition. You will be revered as a fearsome conqueror, and I will be the chief minister who brought about the whole world's capitulation. All of the other tanuki will rue the day they spurned my schemes.

Suzume is watching from the rafters of the ceiling. Her ears perk up as she carefully makes out what the two of them are talking about.

Suzume: (Geez...if somebody else were watching this, they would think these two were plotting worldwide conspiracies. These are all just a bunch of juvenile pranks. I feel a lot like I'm watching a couple of naughty schoolchildren meeting inside their "secret fort.")

Evil laughter continues well into the early morning, unknown to all except for a man, a woman and a tanuki.
