  1. Death, loss and decay.
  2.
  3. Silence which had settled upon these mountains being broken by yet these same adventurers. Men and women both old and young coming to push for this better life, this claim to the spires they now each aimed towards.
  4.
  5. Yet their journey was not one without strife.
  6.
  7. Bloodied corpses impaled upon stone. Mutilated flesh that still drip a fresh crimson blood that may forever stain these grounds. Such violence having become the warning of these monsters which guarded such a land, one final warning to these wayward souls...
  8.
  9. These humans which chose to press ever forwards.
  10.
  11. Scouts still pushed forwards alongside this combined group of many nations.
  12.
  13. After what had been many days and many nights...
  14.
  15. Ascending this mountain, looking upon the corpses of their own fallen which had cleared such a path so that this group may prosper...
  16.
  17. They had arrived.
  18.
  19. Stood before a massive steel door. One such entrance that loomed just below that massive spire overhead, that which the demons of old had long since tapped into for their power that rivaled all others.
  20.
  21. Stood before such a door...
  22.
  23. In silence a figure floated.
  24.
  25. Surrounded by corpses beneath it's feet...
  26.
  27. The Guardian stared.
  28. [Narrate]
  29.
  30. 'Don't try to be a hero.'
  31.
  32. Of all places, this saying would be the most true. While trouble would be anticipated ahead.. the objective of survival was just as important in this case, knowing that there's nothing more important than his own life right now. There's no future if you simply die. So while the Shenlong moves with the rest of the group, assessing the numbers and people themselves alike.. there's clear caution to how he proceeds.
  33.
  34. Guessing how this will end.
  35.
  36. Perhaps, a lot worse than the last expeditions- perhaps, a lot more glorious. And yet, when he ascends the mountain, he can't help but assume that it's both - worse and glorious alike, where death awaits around every corner, and the promise of better tomorrow stands right next to it. What would it be, then, when they witness the guardian?
  37.
  38. When they see the result ofsuch divinity?
  39.
  40. Instincts tell him to attack, to never trust this creature, for nothing that came from Spire Islands prior to this has been trustworthy in his eyes. Nothing was safe, and nothing could be negotiated with. But.. perhaps this once, he isn't in a hurry to attack, since the last time he ended up being a first target. If one wished to live, they should be more careful than that.
  41.
  42. "...If you planned to negotiate or speak to such things, the time is now."
  43.
  44. A certain drakanite should know what's being spoken about. And yet, inevitably, he reaches for his weapon.. rather being prepared than standing idle.

  120. "..." There seemed to be nothing more than mere surprise upon her features. A moment where a child-like, yet sincere grin would appear upon her features. She shouldn't be laughing at such a thing and yet...What spills forth from her lips is nothing more than a nervous chuckle. As if she...Wasn't certain as to what she should feel...As if, she wasn't certain as to what could possibly happen within the next few moments.
  121.
  122. All she knew is that they were jumping into the violence already and that this fight...Would only prove one thing. Those who are weak will be slain...And those that are incapable of fending for themselves? Broken. Only the strong will survive..
  123.
  124. And so...
  125.
  126. There are no words.
  127.
  128. Instead, there is preparation. A silent moment when she lifts her scythe and gets ready for the worst of the worst. Aww shit..
  129. (Ashalle)
  130.
  131. Perhaps it was a mistake to tag along, to stow away in the expeditions advances. It trots along, or perhaps more accurately finds bits of luggage or shoulders of the willing to ride upon. A black void of occultic magic, shaped like a feline.. Certainly a demon of extremely weak potency, and yet somehow it clamored its way forwards.
  132.
  133. Something drew it, as if it needed to advance. But of course it would be nigh impossible to figure out that sort of thing via its expression, as it always pushed forwards with little more than a horrid, static-filled 'meow'.
  134.
  135. And as it resisted from picking and pawing at the corpses that littered the ground, as the group made their way through death and mayhem that surrounded their advance, they would eventually come across something.. Almost horrifying.
  136.
  137. Horrifying if the cat could even comprehend that sort of thing, anyway. It speaks, but not a voice- The demonic telepathy that much of its kind has. Not specified towards anyone, but a general statement wandering through the minds of those present.
  138.
  139. Maybe this was a bad idea.
  140. (Illrixis)
  141.
  142. The holy magus' eyes darted side to side taking note of each of the impaled corpses on the way, why must everyone kill.. that's all these people do, these 'illyothians'.. to her it's more like 'killyouoffians' with as many as they've slaughtered.
  143.
  144. It was not going to be a short journey by any means, ascending a mountain, making a way past innumerable corpses along the way. Once they arrived her eyes fall upon a massive steel door, blocked by a massive guardian.
  145.
  146. With the past actions of all of the other people from the area, Tahldrig already knows there's absolutely no chance at reasoning with the guardian. As such, she just prepares for the inevitable fight that they are to be facing. With different allies from before, new ones, old ones, she was fairly confident that the end result would be the same. They would be victorious.
  147. (Tahldrig)
  148.
  149. To see the wages in life and loss, was certainly sobering.
  150.
  151. For the current expedition to have reached this far, so many were sacrificed. And yet there seemed to be no end to the challenges confronting those who wished to seek the power and secrets of the Spire isles.
  152.
  153. Ichtaca knew full well what he needed to do. To stay near Miyo, and to be the shield she would need now that her eyes are not yet recovered.
  154.
  155. "Miss Miyo, there seems to be a guardian, by the entrance...the scouts we sent before, they are no more. It would seem that we must overcome this being if we hoped to proceed."
  156.
  157. A short summary, for the blind Kitsune. Ichtaca continues to stand close to her, staff in the ready. Vigilant!
  158. (Ichtaca)
  159.
  160. It was time-- The journey which had taken Nyphadora over a century to even begin, was finally reaching its end. This was the final play, the final act; the time for them to finally claim what so rightfully belonged to them!
  161.
  162. Perched upon the shoulder of the Shogun, the fallen Fae couldn't help but to snicker and giggle at the sight of the Guardian. This was it! The one who would give them their trial, the trial they were destined to fulfill.
  163.
  164. Wings fluttered a bit, yet she remained still only rocking back and forth an ever so slight bit, excitement making her unruly.
  165.
  166. "I have waited over a hundred years for this moment... Ah, finally! It shall be ours!" She spoke, a bright smile curving her lips as her gaze went over to Isaac before returning to their inevitable foe, "And it shall be everything we ever imagined!"
  167. (Nyphadora)
  168.
  169. Stardust was still toasted from her last venture of battling against higher powers and it was only out of sheer curiosity that she was propelled ever forwards. She strived to satiate her ever bored mind, throwing herself into dangerous situations and joining dangerous groups. How she had lived to be over ninety years old was anyone's guess.
  170.
  171. Now here she flew, staring down yet another mighty beast, accompanied by near enough an army of strangers as they too drove to satiate their own curiosity.
  172.
  173. She hadn't been on any of the other expeditions, hadn't seen for herself the many monsters that previous groups had fought and defeated. And so, she didn't know what to expect.
  174.
  175. But she'd be a fool to think this creature was any weaker then the one prior. Her guard was up. Her heart was racing.
  176.
  177. This was going to be fun!
  178. (Stardust Twinkleshine)
  179.
  180. The eerie setting had merely functioned as an omen to what was likely soon to come. The trip towards the mountain had been quiet, awfully quiet. Long, unwavering days of quiet.
  181.
  182. Though now, things had seemingly shifted with no further warning.
  183.
  184. The navigator could only direct his wary stare towards the lifeless bodies from time to time in order to rest his eyes from the straining frame of the imposing guardian. How grotesque - how unsettling.
  185.
  186. But if just, if only just... This gate opening could be another puzzle, another enigma. A riddle of sorts, even.
  187.
  188. He pondered nonchalantly.
  189.
  190. "Can we dialogue with you?" Adar questioned, blankly.
  191. (Adar Gutt)
  192.
  193. And when had their journey ever been without strife? At this point, it'd be painfully safe to assume the largest fraction of the Alliance had already been shaped into living, breathing war machines- always ready to strike the next Demon Lord or vassal down.
  194.
  195. This wasn't a war, but rather, a dragged, long series of skirmishes that, session after session, only became more grim and brutal.
  196.
  197. The figure looms, as did any and many others. They were always ominous. Always all-powerful. Almighty and puissant... but that was routine, was it not? That was to be expected. It is what the four nations had bought, wrought, and pleaded for. And now they would claw- or perish. And no one feels like perishing today, Yandir would wager.
  198.
  199. A flicker of golden ran aslant his form. A mild sign of aggression? Perhaps he had truly been conditioned into a fighter, and naught more. But the incoming, patient wait would prove this assertion wrong. Instead...
  200.
  201. The sarradian's gaze slowly hovered over to the figureheads of the Alliance, awaiting their approach. With how discrepant those four minds usually were, he expected there to be some degree of imparity amidst them.
  202. (Yandir)
  203.
  204. LOOC - Ashalle: (someone please nerf nyphadora's sprite)
  205.
  206. Much had changed since her first visit to the spire island, many expeditions being had since then. As such she was a bit aloof as to the direction everyone was going in, merely going with the flow of the magi that kept marking forward.
  207.
  208. Amongst the grotesque impaled corpses that marked the grasslands with their blood. Needless to say, the vibe, in and of itself was bone chilling. Marching further on towards the colossal steel doors, much like the ones she encountered upon the initial voyage.
  209.
  210. Unlike before they were not given the option to decide whether to break in or not, as a guardian seemed to stand watch. Protecting the entrance to the area.
  211.
  212. Her hand ready on the hilt of her blade awaiting what was to come.
  213. (Epona Maple)
  214.
  215. LOOC - Ashalle: (how am i supposed to verb it..)
  216.
  217. It's taken them too long to reach this place.
  218.
  219. Too many enemies they've had to overcome. Too many puzzles, and wandering demons that threatened their lives-- too many loses.
  220.
  221. In Aurora's world, anything that didn't happen immediately was already late. She was always impatient, but... The expedition took the cake, really. Too long. It's all she could think. Even now, as they traveled upon the mountain. The image of the rotting, bloody corpses is not an easy one to take in-- but one the demi-angel overcomes nonetheless.
  222.
  223. Impatient, impatient, impatient.
  224.
  225. ..Eventually, they reach the entrance. The massive metal door that stands before them is barely acknowledged, considering that they weren't alone - and the presence of yet another guardian welcomed them.
  226.
  227. By the soft sound of her ringing bell, it sounded as if the white-feathered cosmic magi was beginning to prepare for a fight.
  228. (Aurora Cruor)
  229.
  230. LOOC - Ashalle: (she small like my pp)
  231.
  232. LOOC - Yandir: (Good luck hipster....)
  233.
  234. LOOC - Nyphadora: (...)
  235.
  236. As much as he hated this, it had to be done. Too much had already been lost, too much pain had already been given. If anything... Out of respect for those fallen. People of Agartha and Archons of the isles. They would see this through till the end, even if he didn't want to.
  237.
  238. Many already dead littered across the mountains cliffside, having fought and lost their lives to open up a path for them. He had no prayers or words for their corpses, just a visible frown as he moved forwards.
  239.
  240. Sticking close to Eiphraem, Calael, and Satsuki. There were too many people present for him to focus on, so he stuck to those who have been at his side for a while now.
  241.
  242. But they reach the top, which seems to be a large steel door. It looked like nothing compared to any other puzzles and places they have gone through... But the door wasn't the problem.
  243.
  244. Icy slits slowly drop down to land upon the Council Guardian, that temperature in the air dropping as Adrian nears closer. With so many here... Especially people from Gehenna, he already expected them to act out and attack before even trying to talk.
  245.
  246. Instead of doing anything yet, he leans towards Eiphraem. ''Are you ready?''
  247. (Adrian Rowan)
  248.
  249. LOOC - Reito Shimasu: (her sprite blends in with the grass. thats powerful.)
  250.
  251. LOOC - Ashalle: (bowerful..)
  252.
  253. Adrian Rowan whispers something.
  254.
  255. These were the gates that hid the future behind them.
  256.
  257. The march to this mountain, across these isles to claim each ruin and temple left behind by an ancient world had brought the Oracle and all those who stood at his side to this moment. And before them a guard, awaiting likely to warn and defend the entrance into the depths.
  258.
  259. Cal stepped forth, his wings not yet ignited, his arms at his side, unthreatening.
  260.
  261. "You know who we are, do you not?" The wings on his back fluttered as the golden eyes peered into the blackness of those of this creature.
  262.
  263. "You know what we seek, and what we are here for. I know this must be your duty to stand before these doors, but I ask now for you to stand aside... Diastisma could not turn us from this course, and Diastisma has fallen. You don't need to follow in his footsteps."
  264. (Calael E. Kang)
  265.
  266. This was her first foray onto the Spires isle, the Kitsune judging the island in silence. There was a small wonder of fascination towards that which the Demons had created, but also an inborn fear from such a thing. Regardless, she pressed on alongside the others and once they were presented with that great steel door, and the Guardian with the corpses at it's feet she couldn't help but frown.
  267.
  268. Given she had never faced such a being before upon the isle, she was entirely silent, pink eyes gazing at it curiously. She did not like that this was what they were facing already but... She'd still move to push forward with the others. It was the only way.
  269.
  270. Their hopes, their dreams - they wouldn't be crushed here. Not today.
  271. (Reito Shimasu)
  272.
  273. LOOC - Illrixis: (follow my charge i will lead the way)
  274.
  275. 'Don't try to be a hero.'
  276.
  278.
  279. Guessing how this will end.
  280.
  282.
  283. When they see the result ofsuch divinity?
  284.
  286.
  287. "...If you planned to negotiate or speak to such things, the time is now."
  288.
  289. A certain drakanite should know what's being spoken about. And yet, inevitably, he reaches for his weapon.. rather being prepared than standing idle.
  290. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  291.
  292. The darkened cloak embracing his form merely flutters about, quietly swaying in the isle's breeze all the while, Requiem still strapped to his back, yet-- it wasn't the only weapon to reside there so. Halycon's scarlet edges remain as sharp as ever, with the blade merely attached along, sitting right next to that cursed relic.
  293.
  294. Though, despite himself, Elyon couldn't help but narrow his gaze as ocean hues scan past the surroundings... bodies littered them corpses impaled and stuck to sharper stones, crimson blood dripping down mutilated flesh... it was-
  295.
  296. "...morbid."
  297.
  298. It's murmured, somewhat hushed, but his pace remains even.
  299.
  300. Moments tick by in silence, until they are finally there-- a larger door before, but his attention never particularly leaves the guardian which seemingly stood in their way. No hostile attempts are made just yet, but the Chieftain prepares himself nonetheless.
  301.
  302. Needles to say, a single, glovedhand rests upon Requiem's hilt, ready to unsheathe it so at any moment.
  303.
  304. "...wonder if it's the door from those ruins, and, well; one of Kranus' minions?"
  305. (Elyon Hirai)
  306.
  307. Adar Gutt whispers something.
  308.
  309. The expedition had begun. Or, it had been happening for quite some time now. They pushed through into the spire island, their path littered by the desecrated bodies of scouts who had met their unfortunate end. If the reality hadn't set in yet, it certainly would now.
  310.
  311. This was a place where people went to die.
  312.
  313. As they pressed forward, Tobias remained close to the side of Maisie. How couldn't he? There was a distinct feeling that this place wasn't safe, that she could be in danger. His protective instincts kicked in, and hefocused on her wellbeing. Along with the wellbeing of the others in their party.
  314.
  315. His eyes flicked around, paranoid of what was to come. Ready to protect them from harm. Yet, his gaze ended up gravitating towards the guardian at the center. Silently, his hand trailed towards his weapon. He wished the words of Calael would prove effective, but..
  316.
  317. He heard the warnings. He knew how this had to end.
  318. (Tobias Ulrich)
  319.
  320. Percival ascends the mountain, and in his usual behavior, watches those closely. This was the last conquest they had to make. They were going to make a difference, this time.
  321.
  322. He was sure of it.
  323.
  324. Spiritforce is gripped tightly in one hand. Safeguard in the other. As they confront the first Guardian..
  325.
  326. Nothing is said. Nothing he could say would matter to the guardian. His grip on his axe and shield merely tighten. And yet, no action is taken yet.
  327. (Percival Kang)
  328.
  329. LOOC - Tahldrig: (I need a party.)
  330.
  331. It would seem a large portion of their scouts and people in general had been used as warnings, crimson blood covering the stones like macabre art..
  332.
  333. The coppery scent of blood and the sickly-sweet smell of death littered the air.. this is where she thrived the best. Not having to restrain herself, to be able to fully cut loose against their foes and destroy unbridled. Such release will be missed when the isle was claimed.
  334.
  335. The group advanced as one cohesive whole for the first time, all of those who had survived, who had stayed strong, who still carried the will to continue. This is what we came here fore, and it lies at the end of their reach.
  336.
  337. Then they reached a door, something massive and steel... ironic since the first fortress they had encountered seemed so much stronger.
  338.
  339. And before it lied its Guardian, just another Demon to bring down.
  340.
  341. "It would be wise to step aside, none of your Kin have come close to stopping us. Make the wise choice."
  342.
  343. Her staff was already in hand, that sanguine ruby pulsing with a light to match the bloodied stones.
  344. (Calista Shimasu)
  345.
  346. Sweat wiped, finally arriving to this place to the first time in his life. Weapon ready and prepared for the worst. With his calculations, his chance of life or death was about fifty-fifty. He couldn't really predict what was too come. He just knows he's going to have try his best.
  347.
  348. The Oshikawa, peered around everyone. Golden irises meeting with the land and it's geography. Dark and gloomy. Yet, it felt calm.
  349.
  350. Time to let the higher-ups handle this. I'm only here as a warrior. he thought, keeping his position in the back of the pack without much to say.
  351. (Seishi Oshikawa)
  352.
  353. LOOC - Tahldrig: (got one)
  354.
  355. LOOC - Satsuki Shimasu: (same who am I rolling with today)
  356.
  357. LOOC - Illrixis: (me)
  358.
  359. For the first time in her life, she had seen things that could not ever be unseen. The bloodied corpses, impaled, broken, and some even hardly recognizable as human. And the worst of it? The smell of rot. No one had warned her of the horrors she'd see let alone smell. It was a pungent scent she'd not get out of her nose for days, even if she were to cover her own nose.
  360.
  361. Those few days trekking up the mountain were likely spent with a sour stomach. Even if she had grown the past few weeks, that progression did little to steel her nerves in the face of so much death.
  362.
  363. And to finally meet the so called Guardian that she heard so much about-- all rumors up until they came face to face with the very being itself. So they were finally here, were they? She says nothing-- only staring with as steeled a gaze as she could possibly muster while making sure she didn't leave Tobias'sside for even a second. Wherever he went, she was bound to follow.
  364.
  365. But to see everyone else getting ready? She too shimmers with that radiant, golden light. Her feet lift from the ground, and as cautiously as she can, she reaches for that staff. Stars, what had she gotten herself into?
  366.
  367. "Please be careful..." She mutters hoarsely to no one in particular, though a light tap against the side of Tobias's hand makes it obvious she's talking to him.
  368. (Maisie)
  369.
  370. LOOC - Reito Shimasu: (Roll with me Satsuki)
  371.
  372. Tobias Ulrich whispers: Don't say that, Adar.
  373.
  374. LOOC - Reito Shimasu: (invite the cat)
  375.
  376. LOOC - Reito Shimasu: (it's c ute)
  377.
  378. Coming up for the final stretch of the expedition there was little in the way to keep the Nagual from fully allowing his runic tattoos to dull all else but completing this last bout of unfinished business.
  379.
  380. The soft glow beneath his shirt would finally be allowed to glow in full now as they made their way forwards onto the perilous Island, blood, and body strewn out now as a gaze was paid to this Guardian who'd slain so many before them.
  381.
  382. Knowing nothing but the embrace of intrigue and the hunger to finally accomplish what they'd all funneled so much of their time and energy into the hunter would have little regrets, but he'd not come along to simply die, either.
  383.
  384. "Today we accomplish what we all set out to do as whole years ago... Nothing gets in the way of that." he'd say in a rather detached surmon.
  385.
  386. Regardless of all he'd been subjected to, the Shaman was ready. Destiny awaited.
  387. (Kabu)
  388.
  389. LOOC - Seishi Oshikawa: [No one is moving and I can already feel freezes.]
  390.
  391. Adar Gutt whispers something.
  392.
  393. LOOC - Sior: (who wants to invite the fairy with an aura heal.
  394.
  395. LOOC - Sior: (... no other heal.
  396.
  397. Particularly weary from the mountain climb, Isaac Shimasu wasn't one to exert himself - but a hike was in order to reach the peak of their destination, the final obstacle in their path. Now that over half the island had been conquered by the alliance, this was the last stronghold they were aware of. He packs in preparation for the journey; a large rucksack full of dried food, healing elixirs, and water.
  398.
  399. They didn't know how many days and nights they might be out here, after all.
  400.
  401. When they arrive at the gate - expecting their scouting party to greet them - it is instead a sight of blood and carnage. The demi-angel frowns, and his eyes half-lid over, not sharing his fae's enthusiasm. "You should know that I have killed countless of your brothers and sisters, creature. And you stand outnumbered."
  402.
  403. "I would offer you the opportunity to flee, but...you killed our own." With that, his fingers find the handle of Aciona's Respite, squeezing and unsheating the weapon. The blue edge is angled forward. "And this sapphire blade beckons me higher than ever before. To the very top of the mountain."
  404. (Isaac Shimasu)
  405.
  406. LOOC - Reito Shimasu: (i guess i should just................)

  413.
  414. LOOC - Ashalle: (hello)
  415.
  416. There were so many concessions that Satsuki was willing to make. She had a soft spot for many of the demons encountered up to this point - she couldn't bring herself to deliver the final blow to Diastisma, and she found herself admitting that she had more in common with the Council than most of the people she joined this expedition with.
  417.
  418. The sight before her wasn't something she could justify or dismiss, however. They were her own people impaled, brutalized, and murdered there; it had gone beyond simple defense of these lands. Such a thing was simply sadism. She could understand scouts being struck down. It was a territorial thing.
  419.
  420. This, of course, went beyond that.
  421.
  422. Insatiable was drawn.
  423. (Satsuki Shimasu)
  424.
  425. LOOC - Ashalle: (I am attempting to look cute, who wants to change a sprite before we all die)

  430.
  431. LOOC - Satsuki Shimasu: (is that warper down there still fucked?)
  432.
  433. Brush in hand, its elongated body released small bursts of energy in all directions while they moved forward. Amber-hued eyes only looked forward, not daring to think or care about the ones lost that he did not know. Siegfried, Declan, both friends in their own right lost to time.
  434.
  435. Upon reaching the door, a loud scoff was given, as they already saw the guardian with corpses piled beneath them. Brief movements were taken to bring him forward alongside the others. Though he had placed himself near Elyon and Yandir.
  436.
  437. Energy constantly flowed off their weapon, a shroud of water covering his body.
  438.
  439. "Another guard? Looks like it'll just be another fight as they speak about it being too soon and this is the fate we set upon ourselves...Which is hilarious." Cockily a chuckle was given, eyes sharpening in waiting.
  440. (Eshmun Hirai)
  441.
  442. LOOC - Reito Shimasu: (probably)
  443.
  444. LOOC - Sior: (mom invite me, aurora

  458. A face not previously amongst the prior inhabitants slides amidst the humans that tolerate his presence.
  459.
  460. Eyes stare towards the Council's guardian.
  461.
  462. Chartreuse eyes gaze dispassionately towards the bodies on the floor. Doubtless the brave and bold who thought they could form groups themselves, apart from the most powerful magi of the continent.
  463.
  464. His hands do not rest on his weapons, nonetheless. His breath is soft, sending sworls of mist about him, and his small, condensed presence is by no means a match for the ancient demons of a long past civilization.
  465.
  466. It doesn't make his teeth fail to drive into his lower lip. His earfins fold back, and what roils in his brain is not further on display beyond this body language of tense shoulders, and coils.
  467.
  468. "I would agree with him. Is conversation possible?" His voice, dolorous and reverberating, follows in Adar's wake. A hand raises towards Adrian, quietly.
  469.
  470. "Humanity is overwhelming, and they have long ascended to dominate this continent. They cannot be halted through force, even if you would kill a handful of them- It would be no more than a pyrric victory. This is where it would be prudent to-" His voice is surprisingly thick, staring up. Almost hopeless. "Abscond. Retreat. Negotiate passage."
  471.
  472.
  473. Eyes flicker over to Isaac.
  474.
  475. They merely come back to the guardian, quiet.

  699.
  700. "Humans... As well as young Archon."
  701.
  702. One wave of this figures hand sparked a corrupted lightning as thunder boomed overhead. Beneath the exterior that covered this being, one such gaze filled with absolute fury would linger upon such a group of souls.
  703.
  704. "You have slain our Kin, as well as those us guardians of The Council had swore to protect. You have claimed many of our tools which built our once great nation."
  705.
  706. The massive beings fist would clench as both Isaac and Satsuki could feel their tools reacting.
  707.
  708. The pendant upon Isaac raising in the air, almost being willed towards this creature if not grasped tightly...
  709.
  710. Satsuki would feel that eye gradually being forced from her head, one hand needing to be clasped over her face lest she wished to lose that very same eye.
  711.
  712. "Yet still you crave more. Your greed knows no bounds, your sinful desires come only to enact a true end upon those of which you have slain... For which I can not allow to pass."
  713.
  714. The corpses which rested beneath the boots of this being would be met by a thunderous crack of lightning, descending from the heavens above.
  715.
  716. "... I apologize only to the young Archon. You who had nothing to do with those slain, those such as Diastisma who had even took to warning these humans... Yet still they brought forth only bloodshed, violence."
  717.
  718. A Pause.
  719.
  720. "All the while they feel no remorse. No remorse knowing how many of my Kin that still live now wallow in sadness, know only pain as our Council grows ever silent."
  721.
  722. The being shook his head.
  723.
  724. "Come, humans. You will not proceed... You will not pass these doors."
  725.
  726. Storms continued to stir overhead.
  727.
  728. "You will not claim our land."
  729. [Narrate]
  730.
  731. Just like he expected, there would be no negotiation with this one.
  732.
  733. They lost much. But in the end, all that Demons such as this remain are a hollow voice from the past.. thinking that they could harbour the entirety of Spires only to themselves. While humanity is ever greedy, expansionist and capable of horrible things, the Demonic Empire was no better - the human acts in passion, but the cold, calculated beast only knows its own selfish purpose.
  734.
  735. They're not that different.. except one remaining more alien than expected.
  736.
  737. "I suppose we'll be fighting, then." A careful draw upon the staff; where the thunder looms overhead, Keitaro seeks to tap into it as well, to draw lightning like no other. And yet, something was telling him that this creature was dangerous.. exceedingly so, that it could kill anyone here with ease.
  738.
  739. That's why they arrived here in such numbers. That's why these words were correct - humanity is overwhelming. And while Archons could last for century, two, three and more..
  740.
  741. They would never outlast humanity.
  742.
  743. "A pity. You cannot keep those only to your own kin, and that's something which cannot last." Selfish to a degree. But can you really get anywhere within this world without being selfish at least sometimes? Can you really achieve anything, when people would take it from you otherwise? Can you really have anything unless you insist?
  744.
  745. You cannot. Doing otherwise is just letting another walk all over you.
  746.
  747. A staff prepared in hand, the blade steadily pointed to the guardian. This would not be a time to back away - not when they're so far.
  748. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  749.
  750. Illusions would burn into the mind of this Archon.
  751.
  752. Blades of ethereal form, lightning and storms which conjured amidst it's own power...
  753.
  754. The power from the stars and many other forms of magic alike...
  755.
  756. None would deny such a being held power unlike any other.
  757.
  758. Winds of razor sharp edges cut through both armor and clothing alike as the flesh of these adventurers were torn open...
  759.
  760. All so that lightning could descend from the heavens, striking those wounds and leaving only pain to course throughout their beings.
  761.
  762. Boom.
  763.
  764. The earth would be shattered a massive bolt of lightning came colliding upon a group of these soldiers. Yu, Stardust, Ichtaca and Seishi, each being knocked aside and sent flying across these grounds. Bits and pieces of the shrapnel and rocks finding themselves lodged in both flesh and armor alike. (Temp, 4 day. Can not be medic healed, must be potion healed.)
  765.
  766. "You will not progress."
  767.
  768. Those words roared atop these mountains as Tahldrig would find herself victim to this all the same. Winds more potent and powerful than prior slicing through both armor and flesh alike. Cutting deep across the chest of this young woman. Sure to leave a nasty scar, even if properly healed. (Perm, -5 vit.)
  769.
  770. Maisie among those being struck by such a blow - Luckily finding herself without any shrapnel lodged deep within her flesh.
  771.
  772. Adar would soon follow.
  773.
  774. Flames which had aimed to strike in his direction being redirected by a potent gust of winds. One such massive wall of fire, sent back towards this man as those flames would consume and burn away at the very flesh of his arm. (Perm, -10 vit.)
  775.
  776. "You will die atop this mountain."
  777.
  778. Storms which sought to bring about carnage.
  779.
  780. Winds which would strike down all.
  781.
  782. What seemed an impossible mix of defense and offense being staggered for a single moment...
  783.
  784. Magic which swelled in each direction, all aiming to take this monster down allowing for that moment needed...
  785.
  786. For a young demi-angel to take center stage, to deliver that final blow needed to knock down this Guardian of The Council.
  787. [Narrate]
  788.
  789. Power like no other. Where flames and the slashes last, the most that drakanite finds himself struggling would be the odd energy that swirls around the Archon, one that not only mitigated blows as a whole, but even redirected them back; where Keitaro seeks to summon thunder and storms above it, the lightning is quickly sent back against him.
  790.
  791. Time and time again.
  792.
  793. Where his eyes widen as result, but it's far too late to even attempting doding. "How--" And the barrage commences. The scales of the dragon harden almost reflexively, taking upon his own lightning, albeit with a struggle. With how lightning is occasionally shot back at him, on top of Occultic fires and the swings of Archon that sometimes crash upon his frame..
  794.
  795. He swears he could find himself falling.
  796.
  797. Perhaps through his own endurance, one backed up with Holy magics, Keitaro carries on, and where he seeks an opportunity to strike in return, he lunges himself against the Archon- where a palmed strike of azure lightning crosses the creature, seeking to bring it down, it serves as weakening enough to remove it out of the way.
  798.
  799. So long as they could continue, this is fine.
  800.
  801. An exhale follows. For now, they could be safe, but even he knew that this would not last forever. Their journey is waiting, and now would be the time to use those words to open the gates.
  802.
  803. "..This is far from over."
  804.
  805. And he could only anticipate what awaits them ahead.
  806. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  807.
  808. The Guardian had fallen.
  809.
  810. Wounds and injuries had already claimed this group so early on.
  811.
  812. Whilst medics and alchemists alike worked to heal those with more serious injuries...
  813.
  814. The rest could finally focus on that massive door.
  815.
  816. Where such a being had fallen - Upon either side of the door two holes now easily inspected.
  817.
  818. Looking to fit a pair of familiar blades.
  819.
  820. If the group had dared bring these necessary keys of progressing further into the depths of these mountains.
  821. [Narrate]
  822.
  823. As there was an opportunity to progress, Shenlong walked forth; despite Calael's call to retreat for those that were wounded, or those that had friends or families, he wouldn't let himself miss out on such things. Besides... thankfully, he wasn't injured just yet.
  824.
  825. What he inspects are two slots for familiar blades.
  826.
  827. A single glance is given Elyon's way. He should know what this means, exactly, but uncertain of what would happen, the shaman's eyes narrow cautiously. For all intents and purposes, there could be more enemies beyond that gate - or a trap instead.
  828.
  829. "Your cue, Elyon."
  830. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  831.
  832. 'Click!'
  833.
  834. Upon each blade being returned what followed was a sudden pulse of light. Endlessly shimmering and spreading across this massive steel door.
  835.
  836. Runic symbols shifting and endlessly moving about as each of the fallen Demon Lord's names would be pressed upon this wall.
  837.
  838. Ignis.
  839.
  840. Aciona.
  841.
  842. Telethrene.
  843.
  844. Kalon.
  845.
  846. Lamashatu.
  847.
  848. Diastisma.
  849.
  850. And a single name, written in what seemed a foreign text.
  851.
  852. As the doors opened themselves, just ahead of a fine path...
  853.
  854. Red carpet seemingly rolled out for the groups arrival, there one such figure stood.
  855.
  856. Two diverging paths on either side of this being, staring calmly back upon the group.
  857. [Narrate]
  858.
  859. "Those who would take such a treacherous journey into my home... I welcome you."
  860.
  861. Eyes gazed over the crowd, judging them for the sins they have committed, known and unknown, past and present. His presence had a suffocating weight to it, and his power was imperceptible, as anyone other than the most advanced and powerful of occultists would sense nothing more than a darkened void. And for those who could see past the void?
  862.
  863. "You can refer to me by my title: Dynamis. I shall be your guide."
  864.
  865. They could sense naught but a reflection of their own nightmares, be it their own deaths, the deaths of their loved ones, or the undoing of their legacy.
  866.
  867. There was something different about this Archon. Far, far different.
  868.
  869. "Now, choose. Separate yourselves into groups. One must go alone, but the other must followme. I shall escort you through and see to it that you reach the end, although I will not interrupt those who which to seek recourse against you for slaughtering our bretheren."
  870.
  871. There were no clear signs he was lying, but...
  872.
  873. "I assure you that I myself will do no such thing while guiding you through."
  874. (Dynamis)
  875.
  876. There's an immediate sense of dread.
  877.
  878. One that almost becomes nauseating to a nigh impossible degree, him being a Holy magi, but.. when he stares upon this one, he can't help but see the countless nightmares of all the things that could've gone wrong to him in the past. Of all tragedies, broken fates..
  879.
  880. Of how he could've died three times over.
  881. Of the bridges he burned.
  882.
  883. But it's shaken away. If there's anything that's true about the drakanite is his endurance. Even now, he could not be swayed away from the path, but.. when the Archon offers its guidance? That is perhaps the oddest offer yet.
  884.
  885. "Why would it even guide us.." There had to be something it would be interested in. Right..?
  886.
  887. "Should probably ask where each path leads, if he's a 'guide' that he claims to be."
  888. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  889.
  890. The door on the left had opened, and as Dynamis led them through, it shut, preventing an easy escape. Dynamis snapped his fingers, an overwhelming pressure bearing down upon the group, but it quickly lifted, granting everyone here a feeling of... relief? Strangely, yes. They felt empowered, perhaps even protected, and yet...
  891.
  892. They wouldn't feel themselves. Or perhaps, they'd feel more themselves than they'd ever want to show anyone.
  893.
  894.
  895. --------------------------
  896. For the duration of this part of the event, any would-be injuries DO NOT NERF your vitality.
  897. However, your injuries WILL CATCH UP TO YOU by the end of this segment, but it will not be specified how until later.
  898. It's up to you all on how to RP this, but you'll all find the worst aspects of your personality drawn out into the open, no matter what they are.
  899. --------------------------
  900.
  901. And once that passed...
  902.
  903. The scenery in the pathway was befitting of royalty, gaudy, with bright colors everywhere. There were splotches of a dark something strewn about, however, and stepping on them might not be the best idea...
  904.
  905. Dynamis spoke, his voice booming, echoing throughout the area.
  906.
  907. "Are the lot of you prepared to move forward? Or do you have any questions?"
  908. [Narrate]
  909.
  910. When they were led inside, part of him didn't want to go. Deep inside, he was thinking that they were led into a trap- and if anything, the moment that door closed, he immediately drew upon his weapon, almost as if expecting the Archon to attack them after all. It's not until..
  911.
  912. .. he felt so different. Is this how falling to darkness had felt? Because with this empowerment, he felt.. the need to kill. The need to lash out for all the pain that others had done to him, for all the tragedies and broken stories melded into his past. The people that robbed him of his youth, of his happiness.. and how long he thought it's unfair for them to have such things when he could not have it for so long.
  913.
  914. Envious. It was befitting word.. but now, that feeling of envy was quickly coupled with the apparent possibility that his vengeance may yet still come- the vengeance he had long buried deep within his soul, never allowing it to surface, deeming it a dark emotion that would only lead him a tragic path.
  915.
  916. Even now, it was difficult to resist that feeling. It was difficult to not feel as if some things were blatantly unfair.. perhaps, the worst thing about Keitaro from the past.
  917.
  918. Perhaps, the path he'd rather avoid. But to digress..
  919.
  920. "Where are we headed, exactly?"
  921. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  922.
  923. As Dynamis guided the group forward, they'd notice the air around them pulsating. Uncomfortable, but not debilitating. The splotches on the ground increased in frequency, yet they were never numerous enough to risk stepping into. They were not an environmental hazard; not yet, at least. The path remained straightforward, various twists and turns presented, but Dynamis himself guided them through, preventing them from getting lost, until...
  924.
  925. "A split."
  926.
  927. One path that led deeper into the mountain, one that continued travering up it.
  928.
  929. "Both will lead you to the chambers. In one, you will encounter dangers presented from the mountain, but in the other, you will catch the attention of my bretheren. Make your choice now."
  930. [Narrate]
  931.
  932. For one reason or another, Keitaro seems more... irate at his surroundings, almost jaded and bitter. No doubt a leftover from the previous wave of energy experienced, but nonetheless..
  933.
  934. "It doesn't matter. Both are just going to be a headache to deal with."
  935.
  936. "Split up just enough so either group doesn't die or whatever." A glance given to Elyon. While irate, at least the Shenlong was capable of rational thought... somewhat.
  937.
  938. "Why is it another split, again?"
  939. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  940.
  941. And so, they traversed the path where the danger laid in the enemies they were to fight, not the inner dangers of the mountain. Whether or not they'd come to regret that is something that would be etermined shortly, because they quickly found themselves in an open battlefield with two powerful demons in clear view- one that spewed magma, one that seemed fond of lightning. Neither of them were fond of talking, though, as they immediately began to charge towards the group, giving them little time to prepare.
  942.
  943. In response, Dynamis sunk into the shadows, seemingly desiring not to be seen by them.
  944. [Narrate]
  945.
  946. What envious drakanite saw in the lightning Demon is the opportunity to grab onto something.
  947.
  948. While the rest can decide among themselves one thing or another, the Shenlong clearly charges upon the Lightning Demon of all things- it becomes terribly clear that he's intent on taking it down and more than likely pillaging its body for something. Perhaps, its core, or anything that it could potentially have, but..
  949.
  950. "Taking the lightning one!" It's a bold exclamation, certainly a brave one too, and yet the weapon is quickly unsheathed- what follows is cascading, azure lightning coming off his fingertips. He expected the Demon to be resilient to its own element, but.. as one of Sky Wardens, he was blessed in that regard.
  951.
  952. Blessed to wield true thunder.
  953.
  954. The storms are called upon quickly, perhaps inevitably stretching out to the Magma Demon, but that's something he considered collateral damage. Instead, the battle quickly commences, and no room is left for talking..
  955.
  956. No room for discussions or anything of that sort. Besides, this might be a good chance to blow off some steam.
  957. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  958.
  959. "You think it's that easy? No, you called -all- of them here. I'd suggest you brace yourselves, for the night has only just begun."
  960.
  961. It didn't take long for two more demons to come knocking, the commotion caused by this fight attracting them here. This time, the two demons that arrived were of the water and wind elements, and even somehow managed to coordinate their attacks together perfectly, creating ice element attacks.
  962.
  963. Maybe they were just the same being, split up into two?
  964.
  965. "The lengths people will go for divinity... is quite something."
  966.
  967. Yu would find himself stricken with pain as if he had just got an arm sliced off, but he'd see no injuries, only dark splotches beginning to cover his hands.
  968. [Narrate]
  969.
  970. "Hasn't your kind hogged the divinity for themselves at some point?"
  971.
  972. It's spoken back at the Archon who was more than likely still hiding in the shadows. Even now, he didn't really expect any of this to be easier.. and perhaps, it might've been a wise choice that they chose the route with Demons.
  973.
  974. After all, if they haven't cleaned it up earlier, they would inevitably run into these creatures.
  975.
  976. Upon witnessing the water Demon, however, Shenlong immediately struck out with a thunder of his own; he knew just how well the water conducts electricity, and this should've been its weakness.. or so he figured. But there was no time to speak.
  977.
  978. The fighting begins again.
  979. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  980.
  981. The party managed to conquer the demon that laid before them this time, as well. But of course it didn't take too long for the next ones to show up, these two wielding mostly ethereal and metaphysical magics. And these ones were stronger than the other two, a lot stronger.
  982.
  983. "Yes, and so did the people who came before. Divinity is strange like that. The people try their hardest to reach it, and when they finally do..."
  984. [Narrate]
  985.
  986. "And when they do - they finally take it." The gaze of Shenlong darkens considerably upon the sight of reinforcements incoming. Even now, it couldn't sway him away- whether it was the anger and frustration that burned within him, or desire to make something better out of himself.. it's unknown.
  987.
  988. One thing is certain - he's determined like never before.
  989. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  990.
  991. The two demons went down yet again, but not without consequence, as Ashalle, Yu, and Tahldrig found their bodies covered in dark splotches, with everything except their heads obscured.
  992.
  993. Luckily, no more demons were here to ruin their day... except, of course, Dynamis, who rose up from the shadows, gazing upon the group with a look of... pride? It was hard to determine just what expression he had, really.
  994.
  995. "Well done."
  996. [Narrate]
  997.
  998. These things were dangerous.
  999.
1000. Where each and every Demon that would come as reinforcement quickly becomes another obstacle to overcome, the Shenlong rises up to a challenge; by no means it's easy, not when they're battered by myriad, overwhelming metaphysical magics and elemental mastery alike.
  1001.
1002. Whereas others seem to struggle, Keitaro shines in this combat, for whenever battering of magic comes about, he steadily endures it as a drakanite. Besides, the holy magics definitely assist him.. and in the end, the thunders roared all across the battlefield, making it immensely difficult for the creatures to move unharmed.
  1003.
1004. Each step they took, there was another leftover of his lightning.
  1005.
1006. Shining in azure and golden colors alike. The opportunity to put it down shows through, and he does not hesitate- a single lunge, followed by barrage of strikes, embedding his own limbs in crossfire lightning. A thunderlike no other, imbued with spiritual force, and--
  1007.
  1008. It's over.
  1009.
1010. Where he rises, he exhales. A glance is shot towards Archon, still unsure of its motivation. But the others already asked what he was meaning to ask anyhow.
  1011.
  1012. "...Well? What next?"
  1013. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  1014.
1015. "Divinity has nothing to do with worthiness, child. Mortals and the divine don't mix because divinity is only capable of two things:"
  1016.
1017. With a snap of his fingers, shadowy hands rose up from the ground, grabbing Yu, Ashalle, and Tahldrig, threatening to pull them into the depths. Yu would find himself unable to resist; his story was to end here. But for Ashalle and Tahldrig...?
  1018.
1019. "It can only degrade or stagnate."
  1020.
1021. They were offered a mercy, if it were even able to be called that.
  1022.
1023. "The choice belongs to you two, Ashalle and Tahldrig. You can either join me against the rest of your allies, or die right here and now."
  1024. (Dynamis)
  1025.
1026. The voice rings almost akin to a sound of torture.
  1027.
1028. Fight against them all, or die immediately. It causes his heart to skip a beat, and where the panic is quickly replaced by anger that deepens further, so much that the entirety of his face portrays nothing but pure, silent rage. To think that he would get so far away from his state in the past, to think that he would finally have a family of his own, and now..
  1029.
  1030. It's being taken away.
  1031.
1032. "No.. no, no, no. No." It's almost something akin to denial in delirium. If anything, he understands why she had to be this way- and this rage isn't directed at her, but..
  1033.
  1034. At the Archon.
  1035.
1036. Where azure lightning crashes around them, and where the spiritual essence of Helheim itself that he carries comes about him- where the worst aspects of shaman are brought out, and the eyes are on fire of the refined thunder. His heart thrums like the finest, but most desperate chord, and his veins quickly become a cocktail of adrenaline and rushing blood.
  1037.
  1038. "No."
  1039. "NO!"
  1040.
1041. Of all people, he flies into the fray first. There's little remorse, little care.. for his body becomes quickly engulfed with the scales of dragon, the spiritual being within him beaming with the strength like no other. He knew what this could result in, he knew the potential consequences.
  1042.
1043. Even if he were to win,
  1044. he might lose everything.
  1045.
  1046. "YOU AREN'T TAKING HER."
  1047.
1048. This is the dragon at his finest, and his worst. Where desperation takes hold, prompting him to be nothing but a man that fights for what he wants- reducing him to naught but a killing force.
  1049.
1050. And it's aimed at Dynamis.
  1051.
1052. The promise of rain lingers with each crashing thunder upon the battlefield, where threads of fate could be woven in a single instance, in a single stroke of luck- or misfortune- and everything could result in the worst manner possible. For now, he has no choice..
  1053.
1054. But to fight tooth and nail,
  1055. like there's no tomorrow.
  1056. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  1057.
1058. They were stronger than he thought.
  1059.
1060. "Very well... then let us do away with false pretenses and titles... and show our true faces to one another!"
  1061.
1062. The aura around him grew darker, more vile. It tugged at the souls of everyone around, but only the people he was fighting would suffer the full brunt of it. It seemed as if Dynamis had a few things left in store.
  1063.
1064. "I am Abraxas, the Archon of Prophecies, he who will deliver the promised oblivion."
  1065.
1066. The Archon of Prophecies, created from the nightmares of those who foresaw cataclysms.
  1067.
1068. "Now come, humans. Prove your worthiness to me, for your final judgment has arrived."
  1069. (Dynamis)
  1070.
1071. Perhaps it is his recklessness that caused him to be this way.
  1072.
1073. But despite the bloodshed before him and the powerful magics unleashed by the Archon, despite the familiar dread he experiences with the tug upon his soul, there's hardly anything that restrains drakanite at all. For better or worse, he charges again..
  1074.
1075. Because this azure lightning blossoms all over.
  1076.
1077. And where he hears the words of certain being, he doesn't seem to listen. Instead, his eyes considerably darkens, the essence of Helheim making him rise time and time again. Where light cannot shine.. there would be dark overtaking him temporarily, carrying him through the moments he would not be able to endure otherwise.
  1078.
1079. The words of Archon, of anybody else, they fall upon deaf ears.
  1080.
1081. It's shown in how the bolts of lightning are flung right at the Archon, where Keitaro leaps right into the jaws of death, inevitably seeking to kill it as soon as possible. Where he speaks of worthiness, the Shenlong speaks only two words..
  1082.
  1083. "DIE, ABRAXAS!"
  1084. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  1085.
1086. It was a long, hard fought fight. Perhaps too long, even. Abraxas managed to win in the end, sure, but... the whole area was ruined beyond repair, torn apart by the
  1087.
1088. There was a stroke of luck. Despite Abraxas using every trick in the book, up to and including bending space itself.
  1089.
1090. The curses placed on Ashalle and Tahldrig were lifted, but
  1091.
1092. Adonis would find his left arm burned beyond repair, and his ribs crushed. Similar internal wounds were dealt to Keitaro and Tobias, but ...
  1093.
1094. The accumulated wounds Yandir received were too great, his internal organs crushed by telekinetic waves.
  1095. [Narrate]
  1096.
  1097. Impossible.
  1098.
1099. It was one word to describe this fight. Whether this Archon accumulated force that could not be rivalled by anything short of Gods themselves, or they weren't prepared enough to face something like this- even with overwhelming numbers- Keitaro finds himself defeated.
  1100.
1101. And where he lunges upon his foe time and time again,
1102. the endless waves of Arcane wash over him.
  1103.
1104. He endures. And endures, and endures, and endures.. until it simply becomes not possible to endure anymore, where the scales give in and the crushing blow is dealt to his insides; where the ribcage is shattered and torn in several locations, and while it could almost reach to his vital organs.. it stops within flesh, causing massive pain and discomfort instead.
  1105.
1106. "How is this even--" Possible? Were they not meant to match something like that, no matter how much they tried? Or did this creature carry the essence of divinity itself in how it acted, and they were hopeless from the start?
  1107.
1108. Whatever the case.. all he can do is bleed.
  1109.
1110. Where the crimson steadily flows from his lips, and despite the injury he tries to rise. Stubborn to the end. Stubborn to act up against what feels like Death itself, even when it threatens to end their lives.
  1111.
1112. "You.. bastard.." Who tried to take everything. Inhale, followed by exhale. A drip of blood was pooling beneath him, and even while he tried to stand, one thing is clear - this is becoming terribly, terribly difficult to do..
  1113.
1114. How long this has to go on?
  1115. Are they doomed?
  1116. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  1117.
  1118. Carnage.
  1119.
  1120. Power which overwhelmed man.
  1121.
1122. What had seemed like an impossible task before this group as each were knocked so carelessly aside by blow after blow.
  1123.
1124. Gehennans watching as their soldiers turned against one another, as man fought against man with a single Archon in the center of this destruction.
  1125.
1126. The appearance of the other group...
  1127.
  1128. Their only saving grace.
  1129.
1130. Forced to watch from a distance as blows were exchanged, as death lingered upon the horizon...
  1131.
1132. Maisie and Adonis being the final few to fall, knocked aside as though the wounds which had been delivered upon this being were nothing.
  1133.
1134. Defeated, much like the rest.
  1135.
1136. Though with a turned back, focus now placed upon those which had strayed from the path of this beings guidance...
  1137.
1138. It was Keitaro to be first arisen.
  1139.
1140. Surrounded by his fallen comrades.
  1141.
1142. Standing, struggling and just barely able to conjure what magic needed...
  1143.
1144. To deliver a final, potent blow upon this Archon.
  1145.
1146. To undo what foul magic had befallen their comrades, taken hold of their minds.
  1147.
1148. His back turned, unsuspecting of what was soon to come.
  1149. [Narrate]

  1170.
1171. Did Tahldrig and Maisie roll twice?
  1172.
  1173.
1174. Aurora Cruor says, "I have one, Calista."
1175. Calael and Co. are barred from watching by an invisible force..!
  1176.
1177. It seems all they can do is watch
  1178.
1179. Aurora Cruor drops Mythril Trauma Kit.
  1180.
  1181.
1182. Calista Shimasu asks, "Is there a medic to patch this?"
1183. Eiphraem Kang picks up Mythril Trauma Kit.
  1184.
  1185. Adrian Rowan whispers something.
  1186.
  1187. Miyo Yuumi whispers something.
  1188.
  1189. Adrian Rowan whispers something.
  1190.
1191. The two demons went down yet again, but not without consequence, as Ashalle, Yu, and Tahldrig found their bodies covered in dark splotches, with everything except their heads obscured.
  1192.
1193. Luckily, no more demons were here to ruin their day... except, of course, Dynamis, who rose up from the shadows, gazing upon the group with a look of... pride? It was hard to determine just what expression he had, really.
  1194.
  1195. "Well done."
  1196.
  1197. Miyo Yuumi whispers something.
  1198.
  1199. Adrian Rowan whispers something.
  1200.
  1201. Adrian Rowan whispers something.
  1202.
1203. "Haah….haah...hah.." Breathing is found to be rather difficult within moments such as this. Where injuries would flutter upon her features and yet...She does not seem to bleed. What is present at this particular moment is nothing more than tunnel vision...The shaking and trembling of pride, the moment where she clutches tightly upon her scythe...As if all else could fail. As if she could fall within any moments notice and yet...Here, despite how much her knees threaten to buckle beneath her, she does not..
  1204.
  1205. "Fuck.."
  1206.
1207. She could see it. The darkened splotches appearing upon her features...As if she were rotting away at the core. As if this sickness was going to be the end of her and yet...it only makes her smile.
  1208.
  1209. This is good.
  1210.
  1211. (Ashalle)
  1212.
1213. Adonis finally allows his feet to touch the ground - deciding during the fight that his designer boots were far too nice to be splotched by the blood of demon or humans alike.
  1214.
1215. They had won the battle, but it wasn't over yet. And at this rate, it may never end.
  1216.
1217. The long brush in his hand is suddenly pointed back at Dynamis, and the wide grin on his face becomes just a bit creepier.
  1218.
1219. " We killed six of your kin, and you say 'well-done'? What do you get out of all of this, guide? Or do you want this council to fall at our hands? " It just didn't add up.
  1220. (Adonis Lelhua)
  1221.
1222. The magi fell to the ground, battered and weakened by a plethora of seemingly otherworldly magic.
  1223.
1224. Such was the true power of the demons of Agartha.
  1225.
1226. He fell unconscious, and as he lay there with his final breaths. His features turned pallor, his locks of raven shifting back to its pristine white. Truly, the overexertion of his mana (such is the nature of super magis), combined by his suffered injuries; the Commander of Huangzhou fell.
  1227.
1228. Out of commission and unable to fight.
  1229.
1230. Truly a fitting end for a monster, as such was deemed by many; may it be his kin or his enemies.
  1231.
1232. Yu Heifang met his end.
  1233. (Yu Heifang)
  1234.
1235. Tahldrig wasn't one to really sit back during a fight.. in fact each time the fighting began where was she located? As close to the demons as possible, staring them down just as she did Ashen when she was a child. Unlike when she was a child though, she actually has fighting prowess now, and as soon as the demons got close enough they'd find themselves wrapped up in a powerful blast of lightning to stop them in their tracks.
  1236.
1237. She hadn't been calculating the battle as she normally did, with the change in the air the fearless girl was in the fray much more than her norm, what did she have to lose though? Nobody here cared if she got hurt.
  1238.
1239. During the fight, dark splotches began forming all over her, obscuring her arms and legs and torso.
  1240.
1241. "How fitting.. I look like I feel.." Like she doesn't fit in.
  1242. (Tahldrig)
  1243.
1244. "...what is this, Dynamis? Waves after waves-- some sort of game? Would've been a better chance of winning if they came after us all at once, but..."
  1245.
1246. The sense of amusement which laced him all this time isn't particularly around in the moment, and neither is that familiar curl of lips-- even as the peculiar effects of their surroundings remain, coaxing the worst within him.
  1247.
1248. Eyes narrow ever so slightly, before a single, smaller step is taken towards their 'guide.' He didn't particularly pay much attention to those injured, however.
  1249.
  1250. "What, now?"
  1251. (Elyon Hirai)
  1252.
1253. Miyo inclines her head lightly. A smile comes upon her face.
  1254. (Miyo Yuumi)
  1255.
  1256. Miyo Yuumi whispers something.
  1257.
1258. The nameless, faceless (yet incredibly powerful) demons were finally felled, the group having fought their way through a wave of four. Was it better than going through the mountain? They'd have to live with their choice regardless. His attention was drawn to the black splotches that seemed to spread on the skin of his allies, however.
  1259.
1260. "A curse?" he pondered out loud. He hadn't been affected by it yet, perhaps due to keeping himself healthy through the application of painful holyfire healing. A concerned frown was given, although he looked towards Dynamis as he arrived.
  1261.
1262. "Thanks?" Why was that phrased like a question? Was he not happy to see their new Archon friend?
  1263. (Tobias Ulrich)
  1264.
  1265. Adrian Rowan whispers something.
  1266.
  1267. Adrian Rowan whispers something.
  1268.
  1269. These things were dangerous.
  1270.
1271. Where each and every Demon that would come as reinforcement quickly becomes another obstacle to overcome, the Shenlong rises up to a challenge; by no means it's easy, not when they're battered by myriad, overwhelming metaphysical magics and elemental mastery alike.
  1272.
  1274.
1275. Each step they took, there was another leftover of his lightning.
  1276.
1277. Shining in azure and golden colors alike. The opportunity to put it down shows through, and he does not hesitate- a single lunge, followed by barrage of strikes, embedding his own limbs in crossfire lightning. A thunderlike no other, imbued with spiritual force, and--
  1278.
  1279. It's over.
  1280.
1281. Where he rises, he exhales. A glance is shot towards Archon, still unsure of its motivation. But the others already asked what he was meaning to ask anyhow.
  1282.
  1283. "...Well? What next?"
  1284. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  1285.
  1286. Yu Heifang drops Divergence.
  1287.
1288. Rising amongst the disastrous onslaught whilst nothing other than the thill for slaying this beast broke through the shell of his aura Kabu would shift his glance some, brushing off the rubble and dust that'd normally be ringing throughout his form.
  1289.
1290. Crackling and gazing as those marred in tar up to their necks were laid to live with their ailments, the hunter would coldly move on, feeling that perhaps they hadn't fought hard enough as to not be felled.
  1291.
1292. The influence of the area would die down as the adrenaline pushed through and his runic tattoos dimmed, but his ultimate goals remained detached, and over arching for now.
  1293.
  1294. "Forwards..
  1295.
1296. Tend to those that you can to keep them moving."
  1297.
  1298. (Kabu)
  1299.
1300. The serpent slides over, diligently, as they make their way down the corridor of Kranus' guard.
  1301.
1302. He is doubtless probably on the lowest rung of people desired to help, but slitted, gold eyes focus as he carefully reaches out towards the youngest Shimasu- "Apologies," No more than a numb, reverbating mumble as he grips her in his massive hand by the lower forearm- Trying to squeeze gently and cut off some feeling to her burnt appendage.
  1303.
1304. The scent of burnt flesh and fat around the half-melted, glittering rubies is likely more off-putting than the actual appearance- There is probably something darkly satisfactory about the scarlet jewels pooled and calcifying amidst perfectly ebon flesh.
  1305.
  1306. Quite the burn.
  1307.
1308. His other hand goes to his bag, and in a moment, a thin needle full of sharp, emerald fluid is drawn from the tip being jabbed into the cork, and a swift motion brings it as swift as his fangs into her arm right above it.
  1309.
1310. Calista probably feels almost nothing when the needle breaches her skin, and then- The plunger surges. A cool, flushing sensation as her arm begins to feel simply... Ticklish. Distant. Dreamy. Unattached.
  1311.
1312. "... I do not think I can remove these safely." The tip of the needles scrapes against the ruby, and it seems more the metal yields than the flame-melded gems. "They've tapped into your essence, and I believe it would permanently weaken you further to try to remove them- But I am fairly certain they have saved your arm. Your skin will probably heal around them..." His lips thin, softly. "I could make the attempt to remove them, but it may leave your arm useless for channeling."
  1313.
1314. "What would you prefer?" His voice has a numbing drone to it, like a prattling, boring teacher.
  1315. (Eiphraem Kang)
  1316.
1317. If she would have had time she would have told the Archon not to worry about painkillers, it was less fun that way.
  1318.
1319. Though that disconnected feeling disconcerted her more than the pain would have she smiles at him as the question was posed.
  1320.
1321. "These rubies were grown in my flesh to begin with, though if they are now more permanently tied to my circuitry leave them."
  1322.
1323. By by Spirits, was his voice the perfect thing to fall asleep to.
  1324. (Calista Shimasu)
  1325.
1326. "Divinity has nothing to do with worthiness, child. Mortals and the divine don't mix because divinity is only capable of two things:"
  1327.
1328. With a snap of his fingers, shadowy hands rose up from the ground, grabbing Yu, Ashalle, and Tahldrig, threatening to pull them into the depths. Yu would find himself unable to resist; his story was to end here. But for Ashalle and Tahldrig...?
  1329.
1330. "It can only degrade or stagnate."
  1331.
1332. They were offered a mercy, if it were even able to be called that.
  1333.
1334. "The choice belongs to you two, Ashalle and Tahldrig. You can either join me against the rest of your allies, or die right here and now."
  1335.
1336. (Ashalle and Tahldrig, if they accept, are to party up with me and fight against the rest of the group at once in a DEADLY RPB.)
  1337. (Dynamis)
  1338.
1339. (If you join up, the two of you will be buffed to make the fight more balanced. And yes, you die instantly if you refuse.)
  1340.
1341. Adonis Lelhua picks up Levitation Potion.
  1342.
  1343. "..." Cages.
  1344.
1345. Is this how things are to be...Within a cage yet again? Caught within the twisted, sickening glare of those that are around. Her gaze shifts about briefly...Her lips pursing into what seemed to be nothing more than a slight smile. She couldn't help but to laugh in moments such as this...Perhaps, because she had known that something like that would occur. But nevertheless, the woman wouldn't seem to particularly mind at this point in time...
  1346.
1347. Instead, what becomes of this battle is something that she cannot control. Her gaze flickers over towards the rest of the group...Eyeing a particular being caught within the masses. There is a silent look...A moment of discovery, a chance to reclaim something...To cling to it as if she couldn't any longer..
  1348.
1349. "...I hate cages." A moment. A silent murmur as she soon steps within the direction of the creature. She brandishes her scythe towards those that are around...Her chin lifting..
  1350.
1351. "But I always said that I was going to be the enemy here so.." The intent is shown, her smile turning into what seemed to be a wicked grin..
  1352.
1353. "Come on. We've all done this before...Let's not hesitate." It is all that she could do. All that she could have for now...
  1354.
  1355. Hm, hmm, hmmm.
  1356. (Ashalle)
  1357.
  1358. JesseDM drops Blank.
  1359.
  1360. Ashalle picks up Blank.
  1361.
1362. Tahldrig slowly looks down at her body. Her arms, legs, torso, everything other than her head had been blackened and obscured. This had changed when Dynamis snapped his fingers, shadowy hands gripped her tightly aiming to pull her down.. and while she could resist.. would she? Would she choose to fight against the friends of hers.. for a chance at survival? A chance at.. killing her friends?
  1363.
1364. There's one thing though.. that decides this choice for Tahldrig. The feeling of being worthless.
  1365.
1366. There's a scoff from Tahldrig as she looks to Dynamis.
  1367.
1368. "I never meant anything to them anyway. I accept." At least.. somebody wants her help.
  1369. (Tahldrig)
  1370.
  1371. JesseDM drops Blank.
  1372.
  1373. Tahldrig picks up Blank.
  1374.
1375. The Fairy stared closely at magic that had covered the majority of Ashalle's body.
  1376.
1377. Its antennae shift and bounce upon its head as he hovers around her, inspecting and trying to deduce its effects. "What does it mean by-..." Like a shock through the air, the creature felt it. Hovering backwards with caution, it stares warily towards the Giant. That hostile intent...
  1378.
1379. Slowly, he looks towards the Archon.
  1380.
1381. "Is not... directed at you..." He moves back, joining the groups fortifications. "Is- Is true... She will fight us..." Ashalle will try to kill them all... "Need- To subdue them... Not kill, but subdue..." He looks around at the others. How many of them really cared what they did to her?
  1382.
1383. This was not a good position to be in.
  1384.
1385. "Will- Stop you... Save you from... effect." He pleads towards her.
  1386. (Sior)
  1387.
1388. This really was wholly unexpected. Perhaps they should have assaulted Dynamis from the beginning? Well. Splitting the bulk of their forces sure was suspicious- and perhaps should have been acted upon.
  1389.
1390. It was, regardless, too late. As the very grimiest within them is brought to surface, Yandir is all too quick to figure out their responses even before they are voiced aloud, not quirking a single brow at their ring.
  1391.
1392. The fort of the sarradian's negativity, however, was not mindless violence, and he can fathom there is still salvation for them.
  1393.
1394. "Do your best not to deal fatal injuries, braves."
  1395.
1396. A fluxing stream of golden energy condenses into bearing, before precipitating into an unsteady peer, soon to find release towards the trio.
  1397. (Yandir)
  1398.
1399. Drama and betrayal, what a wholey unexpected twist! Even more unexpected was the betrayal of those who held no loyalty to the rest of the group in the first place! Jokes aside, Stardust was very badly injured and on her last legs... or wings. If she went down again she most likely would not get back up.
  1400.
1401. However, in the name of curiosity and adventure, she would not give in! She would fight, friend and foe alike to see this trial through to fruition.
  1402.
1403. Her aura activates once more, a fiery plasma coating her as she calls forth her magic.
  1404. (Stardust Twinkleshine)
  1405.
1406. Seishi sighed as he heard he was going to have to fight Ashalle and Tahldrig. He's known Ashalle for awhile. A subordinate for her even so.
  1407.
1408. "I can't.. but I have to to survive. I'm sorry Lady Ashalle."
  1409.
1410. Seishi removes a bottle from his coat once more. A red liquid bubbling in it's contents. He popped the cork and drank it. His power raising. His eyes glowing the embers upon his hair bursted more than ever before. He didn't speak but now he was tunnel visioned on the both of them.
  1411. (Seishi Oshikawa)
  1412.
1413. ".. So much for a guide. I knew he was up to no good."
  1414.
1415. As the only one who asked questions in the beginning, he felt like he deserved to say that out loud. Now, the reality of their impending doom set in. Their own allies turned against him, and Tobias had this feeling that someone was going to die. Multiple people, maybe.
  1416.
1417. "Who would do something like that? Force someone to fight for their lives. It's.. despicable." he said, sounding resentful. Anger and frustration built. Tahldrig and Ashalle made their choice, and could he blame them for their decision? If it was the only thing they could do to live?
  1418.
1419. "Whatever happens, I'm going to make sure that you pay for this, Dynamis!" he shouted. But, wasn't he a hypocrite? Weren't they the very same people who had been forcing his breathren to fight for their lives?
  1420.
1421. He didn't feel like his heart was fully in it. But, he'd need to give it all he had if he didn't want to die. He raised his weapon.. against his former allies.
  1422. (Tobias Ulrich)
  1423.
1424. So much at once was happening. Even if she'd been tripped up by that demon's gravity, she seemed fine. She didn't feel off, at least-- short of the still being deathly afraid of her own shadow thing.
  1425.
1426. "This isn't good..." She mutters, peering at those who turned to stand against them. As for Yu? Wherever he went, he was no where to be found. He was surely still alive, right? She peers through the crowd, but there's not a sign of him anywhere.
  1427.
1428. Her gaze snaps back to Ashalle and Tahldrig. "I can't believe we have to do this..." To their own people, even.
  1429. (Maisie)
  1430.
1431. Seishi Oshikawa drinks a Rage Potion!
  1432.
1433. Yandir drinks a Levitation Potion!
  1434.
  1435. "You--"
  1436.
1437. Words are cut short, and he could barely react before shadow hands explode past the grounds underneath, grasping onto three from their unit all the while, yet-- for once, those eyes find themselves widened, ocean gaze focused upon a certain, familiar figure embraced within Occultic energies.
  1438.
1439. No sounds follow suit, and he couldn't do anything before Yu is plunged into depths unknown-- gone, without words, without resistance. Amidst the way that strange buzzing takes over his senses, the Chieftain merely stood there, watching, his expressions still blank, despite all.
  1440.
1441. It isn't until the offer is made, and Ashalle's acceptance echoes past, alongside that of Tahldrig's, would he finally turn around, head tilted over to the side all the while.
  1442.
1443. Still, nothing finds its way out before Requiem is unsheathed, expressions still unreadable in the moment.
  1444.
1445. In all honesty, no words were needed to begin with. A single step is taken towards the trio, before those marble sparks explode about his form yet once again.
  1446. (Elyon Hirai)
  1447.
1448. The voice rings almost akin to a sound of torture.
  1449.
  1451.
  1452. It's being taken away.
  1453.
1454. "No.. no, no, no. No." It's almost something akin to denial in delirium. If anything, he understands why she had to be this way- and this rage isn't directed at her, but..
  1455.
  1456. At the Archon.
  1457.
  1459.
  1460. "No."
  1461. "NO!"
  1462.
1463. Of all people, he flies into the fray first. There's little remorse, little care.. for his body becomes quickly engulfed with the scales of dragon, the spiritual being within him beaming with the strength like no other. He knew what this could result in, he knew the potential consequences.
  1464.
1465. Even if he were to win,
  1466. he might lose everything.
  1467.
  1468. "YOU AREN'T TAKING HER."
  1469.
1470. This is the dragon at his finest, and his worst. Where desperation takes hold, prompting him to be nothing but a man that fights for what he wants- reducing him to naught but a killing force.
  1471.
1472. And it's aimed at Dynamis.
  1473.
1474. The promise of rain lingers with each crashing thunder upon the battlefield, where threads of fate could be woven in a single instance, in a single stroke of luck- or misfortune- and everything could result in the worst manner possible. For now, he has no choice..
  1475.
1476. But to fight tooth and nail,
  1477. like there's no tomorrow.
  1478. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  1479.
1480. Interesting....it seems destiny led to a circle, once again.
  1481.
1482. Looking between Ashalle and Tahldrig, the panther would know these two were not acting of their own volitions...
  1483.
1484. However, he couldn't help but see them as another roadblock on the path towards their ultimate goals--but he'd be able to suppress his rune's glow some as he gave a glance to Keitaro, then back to the pair feeling that this had taken a turn he'd never thought possible.
  1485.
1486. Carefully he'd attempt to debilitate rather than kill here--perhaps in striking down their "Master" first they could free these bindings, but if it came down to them, or to move ng onwards, that very same void of feeling would take away his inhibitions.
  1487.
1488. "If it's possible to purge that essence from them, then focus on that....but if not..
  1489.
  1490. I'm sorry, Ashalle, Tahldrig."
  1491.
1492. Like a bolt ofcrackling energy he'd be upon them, shimmering silver eyes like streams of current moving along with his blackened and muted electricity.
  1493. (Kabu)
  1494.
1495. It was like a lucid dream as...Everything went to shit, black spots covered the pride sin a once captor of his. It then spread, to Yu, and then to Tahl...Each one being covered and looking rather strange.
  1496.
1497. A brother, a close friend, a once captive. No words came out at first, as they were given an ultimatum by the demon. It all happened so fast, as Ashalle and Tahl joined his side...And Yu fell.
  1498.
1499. But it was strange, though sadness was there, he couldn't actually let out tears or cry out. Instead there was a mighty itch, a mighty feeling corroding his insides that called out to him. It was...Excitement, a need for battle. Ashalle, Tahl, and an Archon together?
  1500.
1501. It was a combination that was a challenge and a half. What was always a friendly smile turned crooked, emotions clashing, but only one able to get out.
  1502.
1503. "Yu...I'm sorry, I can't grieve you." It was their only wordsas water cascaded across their body, adrenaline boiling within their blood, ready for what was to come.
  1504. (Eshmun Hirai)
  1505.
1506. There are certain things that she didn't need right now. And it is most certainly the tears of those that were on the opposite end of the field before her. The smile upon her features would falter ever so slightly...The words that spill from her lips offer nothing more than to admonish those that are around...Because they all seemed to be swept up within the shock of the moment. And if there was to be risk...Then it was something that was well-deserved within this case...After all, she had said that if she were to die...She wanted it to be within the best way possible. A glorious manner...An execution not fit for a peasant, but for a queen.
  1507.
1508. This gold glimmers within her body. A moment where the sin becomes all consuming...When the words are given to all those that are around save for one in specific.
  1509.
1510. "Incase you all do not know me by now, allow me to reintroduce myself." There is an idle sway of her hips...The tumultuous beating of her heart is caught within the tempo of her rock. She moves back and forth slowly, carefully...
  1511.
1512. "I am Ashalle of Briar Locke. Sin of pride-...I am...Everything that you all wish that you could be." The screams of another is not something that registers within her mind as of now. She keeps herself sane with the sin...Comforted by the fact that no matter the outcome, she'd be free regardless.
  1513.
1514. "I am not your friend. I am not someone who seeks to be at peace with any of you. And I promised to myself that I was going to kill all of you.." Her chin tilts...The void within her heart thorning into her viens, as if it were bramble..
  1515.
1516. "This just makes it slightly better on me.." Her smile widens despite her gritted teeth. Emotion flourishes but..
  1517.
1518. She needed to talk herself into doing this. Once more.
  1519.
  1520. "Scream."
  1521. (Ashalle)
  1522.
  1524.
1525. This gold glimmers within her body. A moment where the sin becomes all consuming...When the words are given to all those that are around save for one in specific.
  1526.
1527. "Incase you all do not know me by now, allow me to reintroduce myself." There is an idle sway of her hips...The tumultuous beating of her heart is caught within the tempo of her rock. She moves back and forth slowly, carefully...
  1528.
1529. "I am Ashalle of Briar Locke. Sin of pride-...I am...Everything that you all wish that you could be." The screams of another is not something that registers within her mind as of now. She keeps herself sane with the sin...Comforted by the fact that no matter the outcome, she'd be free regardless.
  1530.
1531. "I am not your friend. I am not someone who seeks to be at peace with any of you. And I promised to myself that I was going to kill all of you.." Her chin tilts...The void within her heart thorning into her viens, as if it were bramble..
  1532.
1533. "This just makes it slightly better on me.." Her smile widens despite her gritted teeth. Emotion flourishes but..
  1534.
1535. She needed to talk herself into doing this. Once more.
  1536.
  1537. "Scream."
  1538. (Ashalle)
  1539.
1540. Adonis lands beside Yu's fallen frame, his brow dipping somewhat and bangs falling over his eyes. A hand reaches out partially to soothe the man in his final moments, but the black goop that had clung so heavily to his frame keeps from actually laying so much as a digit on the man's head.
  1541.
1542. " I never did get to show you that I was your equal, did I? " A solid 'hmmn' echoes through his closed lips as the betrayal of the century can be heard nearby.
  1543.
1544. " This is about what I expected. I know a con-man when I see one. " A twinge of admiration for the archon's attempt to keep things interesting, but there was also venom that came from the death of the Yu and control of Ashalle.
  1545.
1546. Five runic circles are formed around his hand, armed with supporting glyphs that are assigned commands as they link onto the circles. Eventually, a sixth is made, and a portal forms with it. On the other side was the city of Huangzhou - the home of the Commander. With a bit of help from his cosmic magic, Adonis aims to send him through to the otherside so that at the very least, his body could avoid being torn to shreds.
  1547.
1548. And then.... he rises back to his feet, pulling the brush from his back to twirl around.
  1549.
1550. " Agartha lost a very beautiful person just now. But it seems as though there are more losses to be had. " He sets his eyes on the archon and then settles them on Ashalle, letting out a huff. His composure remains for the sake of looking gorgeous, even in what might be his final moments.
  1551.
  1552. " So be it, Ash'. "
  1553. (Adonis Lelhua)

  1598.
1599. "Very well... then let us do away with false pretenses and titles... and show our true faces to one another!"
  1600.
1601. The aura around him grew darker, more vile. It tugged at the souls of everyone around, but only the people he was fighting would suffer the full brunt of it. It seemed as if Dynamis had a few things left in store.
  1602.
1603. "I am Abraxas, the Archon of Prophecies, he who will deliver the promised oblivion."
  1604.
1605. The Archon of Prophecies, created from the nightmares of those who foresaw cataclysms.
  1606.
1607. "Now come, humans. Prove your worthiness to me, for your final judgment has arrived."
  1608. (Dynamis)
  1609.
1610. She goes after the strongest. Perhaps, because she understands that they are capable of withstanding what she has to offer. Or perhaps, because she knows that they're able to withstand the pressure that she possesses...But within the end, the magical assault is not something that even she is capable of healing through. When multiple magi tear at her form...Her screams of pain could be heard amongst the area. Where blood blossoms into crimson roses and tulips upon the cobblestone. Where she trembles...And this tunnel vision only becomes worse. And worse. And worse.
  1611.
  1612. I'm sorry.
  1613.
1614. It is not spoken. This sin wouldn't allow her to speak of such a thing, especially, when it is engulfing her within it's might, suffocating her...Perhaps, as a means to forgo and forget all of this pain. But regardless of that fact....Regardless of all that occurs...
  1615.
1616. She trembles and pushes herself off of the ground. She stands tall once more...Drunken within her own stupor...Caught within the illusions of her own grandeur as she speaks..
  1617.
1618. "It's not enough..It's not...It's not enough yet." Too close for comfort. And yet, too fargone.
  1619.
1620. "Is this supposed to be the might of Cruxati? Struggling...Barely passing in the face of an enemy? What the fuck are you all doing..?" Heaving breathes...Blood spilling past her lips, and yet...The injuries upon her being continue to fade miraculously...
  1621.
1622. But still, slow from all of the damage.
  1623.
1624. "Fucking fight me. Fucking kill me already." But regardless, she wouldn't make it easy..
  1625.
1626. " I know I only wish that I would have done it a long time ago." And yet, she threatens to suffocate upon her own blood.
  1627.
  1628. (Ashalle)
  1629.
1630. "How amusing is it that you threw away a false epithet, only to voice out the one you merely proclaim to hold."
  1631.
1632. The golden wheel beside Yandir slowly hovers to his front, before gyrating, amassing energy in all its scopes, even as stratified arrays of aureate energy continued to concentrically coalesce into its center. It blasted off a violent, puissant beam of quintessence, aimed directly at the very three.
  1633.
1634. The best, and swiftest way to end this would to not discriminate.
  1635.
1636. "You are a farce, a fraud. Even those who fight beside you prove this point, for they are compelled by your simulacrum,
  1637.
  1638. because frauds fight alone."
  1639. (Yandir)
  1640.
1641. Everyone rushed at her right away.. of course they did.. they want her out of the way, just like they always do. Adrian always told her she was nothing but a sheep, Niklaus constantly told her she was nothing, and never would be anything.
  1642.
1643. The people she cares about? Even they pushed her away. Elyon told her he didn't want a relationship, and then immediately turns around and gets together with Calista. Both of those friends had lost interest in being around her.. and why? Because she wasn't worth enough to them. Calista had stopped hanging around her after someone slightly more interesting came back, Rindou, even though the holy magus and Calista spent a lot of time together building a friendship, none of that mattered in the end. Sima, the boy she doted on for fifteen years, he at one point had an interest in her, made her promises, told her things to keep her interested in him. In the end, he too pushed her away, telling her that she didn't mean enough to him.
  1644.
1645. Those were her three closest friends, the three people she liked more than anyone else.. and even they didn't like her. Once they got bored of her, or she actually felt happy.. they chose to rip that away from her, and for what, a few moments so they too could laugh at her?
  1646.
1647. A few tears ran down her cheeks as all the thoughts rushed around her mind only amplified by whatever Dynamis or the area had done to everyone. She doesn't want to hurt her friends.. but at this stage she doubts she even has any friends so what else can she do?
  1648.
1649. Her staff is pointed at each of them, slowly sweeping over the area as she utters just a few words only broken up by a shaky voice.
  1650.
1651. "None of you cared.. till now.. Fuck you.." She doesn't blame herself for how she feels, how worthless she sees herself. She blames everyone else. All Tahldrig wanted to do her entire life was help people, teach them things, and have friends that cared about her, to tell her that she matters to them.. why was that so much to ask for? At least if they all die.. they'll never forget her.. or if she dies, at least one of them will remember her.
  1652. (Tahldrig)
  1653.
1654. Perhaps it is his recklessness that caused him to be this way.
  1655.
1656. But despite the bloodshed before him and the powerful magics unleashed by the Archon, despite the familiar dread he experiences with the tug upon his soul, there's hardly anything that restrains drakanite at all. For better or worse, he charges again..
  1657.
1658. Because this azure lightning blossoms all over.
  1659.
  1661.
1662. The words of Archon, of anybody else, they fall upon deaf ears.
  1663.
1664. It's shown in how the bolts of lightning are flung right at the Archon, where Keitaro leaps right into the jaws of death, inevitably seeking to kill it as soon as possible. Where he speaks of worthiness, the Shenlong speaks only two words..
  1665.
  1666. "DIE, ABRAXAS!"
  1667. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  1668.
1669. There was only one target he cared for.
  1670.
1671. The fairy charged around, narrowing dodging the onslaught that threatened to unmake him. His attention remains on Ashalle, with volleys of illusions and gravitation alterations trying to subdue her. "You must f--" A massive wave of arcane energies surges at the creature like a physical wall.
  1672.
1673. It is knocked back, its body oozing dust through cuts and bruises.
  1674.
1675. "Must- fight it... Just hold--" He knew the precursors were strong, his kind adored them. Praised their legend as they reseeded from the Island to the outskerts where few dared venture. But to face off against one who was was the harbinger of the end?
  1676.
1677. The creature was but a fly compared to it. Sior was trying to defy a god.
  1678.
1679. "Resist!" It yells, charging at her.
  1680.
  1681.
  1682. (Sior)
  1683.
1684. Dynamis was revealed as Abraxas, causing anger and frustration to build within Tobias. The veil fading away to reveal his true colors, hiding behind a fake name and fake intentions. It reminded him of someone that he knew, except on a much grander scale. And with the potential for much greater consequences.
  1685.
1686. "Is that all you're hiding?! Or, do you have something else you'd like to share?" he shouted out with an indignant tone. The hero clutched his staff, his golden light burning brighter. His wings flared, encasing the man in an otherworldly radiance.
  1687.
1688. "You know what? Just keep it in your head! I don't want to hear it!" he finished, prepared to continue the fight. But man, was he peeved.
  1689. (Tobias Ulrich)
  1690.
1691. Those breaths of his remain ragged, numerous scratches and burns gracing the pale features all the while, though even as the Chieftain's eyelids close half-way through, he'd try his best to maintain balance, to not topple over. Waves after waves... six demons in total, and then this Archon alongside two of their stronger comrades?
  1692.
1693. He expected the day to be long, but such was simply pushing it, at this point.
  1694.
  1695. "Shut the hell up."
  1696.
1697. It's murmured outward, barely audible in the moment before that grip upon Requiem tightens-- so much that his own nails were digging into the flesh of his palm. Even when Keitaro practically blitzes past, aiming for the Archon's life yet once again, Elyon would allow the effects of nullification to spread out, draining the surroundings of their colors, until he finally takes a step forward, prepared to charge in.
  1698.
1699. "...repeating the similar crap as the rest of them, just-- die. Now."
  1700. (Elyon Hirai)
  1701.
1702. It was obvious from the way he moved, that the body of Eshmun was enthralled in the battle. Going after the ones he knew, energy and ice crackling after Tahl and Ashalle both. Torrents of energy going after whatever was in his way. No words were spoken loudly, instead he had started crudely chuckling.
  1703.
1704. A switch had been flipped, one that left him enjoying everything going on. This was a challenge, it was exactly what he was craving for.
  1705. (Eshmun Hirai)
  1706.
1707. Losing their masks? The Archon of Prophecy?
  1708.
1709. In other words, he was saying that this was his intent from the jump. To kill Yu and have Ashalle and Tahldrig fight against their group to the death. They were all just pieces on his chest board, apparently.
  1710.
1711. As Ashalle's words ring out, Adonis' gaze softens, despite her words. She had given him so much advice in his youth. Tips and tricks that had gotten him to where he currently it is, and mentalities that would propel him to new heights should he survive the encounter.
  1712.
1713. She meant something to him in the same scope that Ahmir did. And now an archon of an established council from ages ago was threatening to take her away by his hands? To force her to play a role she swore that she wanted to play.
  1714.
1715. Something in the back of Adonis' mind snaps like a weakened bamboo branch, and he starts to cackle under his breath.
  1716.
1717. " Hideous, disgusting con-man. You'll die before either of them do. I swear it. "
  1718. (Adonis Lelhua)
  1719.
1720. Surges and crackles kept his allies from completely being decimated here, his numb voltage would dull their pain, his light giving them what they needed to stay useful--and yet. Facing the sin of pride like this, how he wished for it in his younger days when people had told him of her deeds. They'd warned him that Sins weren't reasonable, irresponsible, and in-humane.
  1721.
1722. But he knew better now.
  1723.
1724. "I don't hate you." The words echoed across the far reaches of his mind as those bloodied flowers would bloom around the cobblestone, his arms coated in claws of black lightning and yet his body would find it all so foreign.
  1725.
1726. He'd given Tahldrig a chance, and she repaid him with regents, and general kidness, given Keitaro his faith, and allowed Ashalle to explain herself and earned a mutual understanding between the Briar and Gehenna.
  1727.
1728. This moment wasn't one of a regular battle, because he wasn't fighting monsters.
  1729.
1730. ".....This cannot be forgiven." his voice rang back out in his usual un-muted tone.
  1731.
1732. Their duty now was to free them from this suffering, from this Abraxas and whether it was through mercy, or unshackling, it had to be done.

1860. As they neared the barrier, Ichtaca gave his current injuries a closer examination and found them significantly undesirable. Dangerous even. The flimsy bandages he brought would be ill-suited to sustain himself, more so if further combat would be required of him.
  1861.
1862. And so, with due prudence and respect, he'd approach Isaac and Reito, and performed a well-mannered bow.
  1863.
1864. "Apologies Lord Shogun, Lady Chancellor... I fear that my injuries need to be treated in a better environment than this. And that at the moment, I am more liability than help for our expedition. As such, I would respectfully like to head back, from whence we came. For the moment, I simply cannot go on."

1899. The accumulated wounds Yandir received were too great, his internal organs crushed by telekinetic waves.

1952. The inferno of this battle was an unfathomable rupture that spread to all things. Tainted chaos, malicious and filled with ill-tidings, cascaded across the battlegrounds to see resistance rewarded with degradation. But that did not stop him, did not deter him from his target.
  1953.
1954. Subdue her before any could earn the excuse to fell her.
  1955.
1956. Ashalle finds the creatures attention on her, exclusively. "Is- Need to stop!" The creature pleads as gravity across her attempts to stop her in motion. It was not his efforts alone that could bring her to her knees, but the collective onslaught around her.
  1957.
1958. Only when she finally stopped moving did he try to focus on the attack.
  1959.
1960. Minutes later the final blow came for him. Sior is knocked to the ground, his body covered in dangerous wounds that readily leaked his inner pale glow. It coughs, with dust being expelled onto the ruptured flooring. The might of the harbinger of oblivion was nothing to take lightly...

  1989.
1990. It was one word to describe this fight. Whether this Archon accumulated force that could not be rivalled by anything short of Gods themselves, or they weren't prepared enough to face something like this- even with overwhelming numbers- Keitaro finds himself defeated.
  1991.
1992. And where he lunges upon his foe time and time again,
1993. the endless waves of Arcane wash over him.
  1994.
  1996.
1997. "How is this even--" Possible? Were they not meant to match something like that, no matter how much they tried? Or did this creature carry the essence of divinity itself in how it acted, and they were hopeless from the start?
  1998.
1999. Whatever the case.. all he can do is bleed.
  2000.
2001. Where the crimson steadily flows from his lips, and despite the injury he tries to rise. Stubborn to the end. Stubborn to act up against what feels like Death itself, even when it threatens to end their lives.
  2002.
2003. "You.. bastard.." Who tried to take everything. Inhale, followed by exhale. A drip of blood was pooling beneath him, and even while he tried to stand, one thing is clear - this is becoming terribly, terribly difficult to do..
  2004.
2005. How long this has to go on?
  2006. Are they doomed?
  2007. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  2008.
  2009. Carnage.
  2010.
  2011. Power which overwhelmed man.
  2012.
2013. What had seemed like an impossible task before this group as each were knocked so carelessly aside by blow after blow.
  2014.
2015. Gehennans watching as their soldiers turned against one another, as man fought against man with a single Archon in the center of this destruction.
  2016.
2017. The appearance of the other group...
  2018.
  2019. Their only saving grace.
  2020.
2021. Forced to watch from a distance as blows were exchanged, as death lingered upon the horizon...
  2022.
2023. Maisie and Adonis being the final few to fall, knocked aside as though the wounds which had been delivered upon this being were nothing.
  2024.
2025. Defeated, much like the rest.
  2026.
2027. Though with a turned back, focus now placed upon those which had strayed from the path of this beings guidance...
  2028.
2029. It was Keitaro to be first arisen.
  2030.
2031. Surrounded by his fallen comrades.
  2032.
2033. Standing, struggling and just barely able to conjure what magic needed...
  2034.
2035. To deliver a final, potent blow upon this Archon.
  2036.
2037. To undo what foul magic had befallen their comrades, taken hold of their minds.
  2038.
2039. His back turned, unsuspecting of what was soon to come.
  2040.
2041. With an urge to fight on the mind, the man was practically mindless in the fact they were indiscriminately attacking Tahl and Ashalle both, nothing being held back against people he knew. Ice, energy, it all pressured everything his path. Or at least, it was putting as much pressure upon them as he could hope...
  2042.
2043. Which was possibly impossible to actually notice with the absolute cluster that was everything. Soldiers murdered each other, magi were pushed against other magi,. In the middle of it all? Was Abraxas, firing off invisible pushes of chaos in every direction.
  2044.
2045. Which to his dismay after with how long the fight had taken, they had found one slamming into their chest and just rupturing even more of the area around his already prosthetic muscles. They tore apart form the ligaments and he found himself clutching at the area in acute pain.
  2046.
2047. Though it was painful, he still pushed forth, getting up off the ground with one hand on their brush and another holding the internal wound. Looks like he wasn't coming back completely unharmed to Ardith this time.
  2048. (Eshmun Hirai)
  2049.
2050. A story of betrayal and pain, the demon fought alongside their former allies. It was a true fight to the death, a battle that was unlikely to be matched in his lifetime.
  2051.
2052. An ancient Archon, the culmination of calamitous nightmares. None other than the vessel of pride and the Empress of Briar Locke herself, Ashalle. And, a woman who bore the same potent, otherworldly blue glow that Calael wielded.
  2053.
2054. There were plenty of words that could be used to describe this battle. For Tobias, he dangerously toed the line between life and death whilst trying to desperately keep his allies alive. Holyfire painfully seared his wounds shut, burning himself to keep his blood inside of his body.
  2055.
2056. Whenever he swooped in to deal damage, he was met with immediate pain. Courtesy of a demon hundreds of years older than him, his wisdom and power was unmatched by anyone he had faced. He had a lot of anger, and plenty of reason to win. But, what did that matter? A better question:
  2057.
2058. When does the hero ever get their triumphant victory in Agartha?
  2059.
  2060. "Abraxas!"
  2061.
2062. It was his last word before he fell unconscious.
  2063.
2064. A blast of telekinetic energy sent him plummeting to the ground. One instant he occupied the airspace, and the next moment he crashed. A streak of orange that pointed straight downward. A cloud of dust formed, as Tobias laid at the epicenter of his own crater. He was downed.
  2065. (Tobias Ulrich)
  2066.
2067. Defeat felt as bitter and tart as it ought to be- but this outcome was never to be expected. Abraxas might have been, in the end, the one among the domain of archon sovereigns with the most masterful, overpowering governance of whatever otherworldly powers were it he commanded.
  2068.
2069. Could they ever have achieved victory? Specially with two of their number compelled to the other side and brought to a level above their prior existence as magi?
  2070.
  2071. Definitely not.
  2072.
2073. A puissant, invisible pressure builds against Yandir's chest, pressured into his ribs and internal organs by the archon's whim and will. To this, the sarradian can only respond with a grit of his teeth, at first, which is conjoined by an agonizing, hatred-filled howl. Even as the lad fell to Abraxas' mighty stratagems, he would not fall without raking forth the purest expression of his anger and disgust.
  2074.
2075. Vagarious, his frame limps and arcs down towards the ground as the telekinetic blast fulminates him away, although it is his hands, forceful and clad in energy, that do not relent, continuing to volley away incredibly dense, continuous barrages of energy towards the foe who continued to overpower them time and time again.
  2076.
2077. If they were meant to fight, after all, why stop midway? To Yandir, at least, defeat did not mean they ought to sit still and ruckle into a low death. From his fallen stance, he would go to stretch a single, outstretched palm forth, resuming the implacable, merciless assault of his mana's release- had it exhibited any effect or not. What mattered was not giving in to the struggle and pushing beyond to the last moment.
  2078.
2079. Everything else but this effort, however, was a blur. Whoever had fallen, or possibly, in a miraculous occasion, taken Abraxas' life, were not pieces of information he proved any able to process.
  2080. (Yandir)
  2081.
2082. It was a fight for survival. The most intense encounter he had been a part of, with stakes that could lead to his end before he is even able to hit his prime.
  2083.
2084. One by one, his allies were dropping. And there was nothing he could really do at this point to heal them - not that he was inclined to at any rate, after the way things had been mounting up. The powerful Archon of Prophecy blurs into view before him and applies a pulse of the arcane to his shoulder, causing the man's dominant arm to pop out of socket and his eyes to become bloodshot red.
  2085.
2086. At the same time, a crystal javelin is gripped in his right and thrusted forward, aiming to impale it into the chest of the demon. An eye for an eye. Or maybe just a wound for a wound.
  2087.
2088. For the first time since the sin of envy had him upside down with a blade to his throat, the Lelhua was terrified of what was to come. In the same motion, he is sent flying across the arena to ragdoll against the pavement, hardly even conscious to see what Maisie was up to.
  2089.
2090. And he lays there motionless for a while. Cuts and bruises littering his body and broken ribs keeping him from taking deep breaths. But even with the world's color fading, Adonis slowly brings his functioning right hand up to brush digits through his hair.
  2091.
2092. He had to look dazzling, just in case someone found their way over to check on them. And they would, of course. He was the brightest star in the room still. Or so he tells himself to numb the pain.
  2093. (Adonis Lelhua)
  2094.
2095. With the fight waning on, each strike became one of contention as somehow no matter how hard they fought this Archon would simply be able to match and overcome them with more and more strength.
  2096.
2097. His motions, while unimpeded by pain were still impeded by the crippling of his movements as his body wore down.
  2098.
2099. Attrition plagued him as he was finally slammed backwards, coughing up blood but looking mostly to the battle at hand finally wrapping up--it seemed that somehow no one had died -yet-.
  2100.
2101. Pushing his body back up, but not quite to his feet, his labored breaths would break free of the taxing on them as he cracked his neck a low growl escaping him as the wake of all of this broke into something much less pleasant..
  2102.
  2103. They hadn't won...
  2104.
2105. The Shaman fell back down to his knee, as though didn't feel anything awry, he didn't account for himself being this beaten down. Looking to those that were slowly rising up to combat the being on his own terms.
  2106.
2107. He wasn't completely out of it, but he was certainly much too inert to aid in this final showdown, a hoarse cough escaping the panther as he gave his best to Keitaro and Maise.
  2108.
2109. "D-d.....don't give in to his demands.
  2110.
2111. Fight until nothing remains..." he'd manage from his bloodied maw as things were upswept in the current once again.
  2112. (Kabu)
  2113.
2114. It.. was strange fighting against her 'friends' but the look in Tahldrig's eyes, they didn't display sadness, they displayed fury. Fury at the people who never seemed to notice her before now. Each one of the people she fought, now they certainly noticed her. They got to feel the strength of her skills, which.. meant they all quickly turned their magics against her and pinned her to the ground so she couldn't do much after the initial explosions.
  2115.
2116. She lay there for a time, just.. listening to the battle around her. Why was she the first to go down? Was it because she's weak? Was it because nobody watched out for her like she does others? A soft smile forms on her face as the emerald hues glance around the sky. No, it's the opposite right now.. it's because of her strength that everyone focused her. For once, they did watch out for her.. not in the way she wanted, but it was something, avoiding her spells so they didn't get injured..
  2117.
2118. Her body is exhausted, there's not a whole lot she can do, Yandir, Tobias, Adonis, Elyon, and Eshmun all quickly laid into the holy magus to stop not just their friends from getting hurt.. but to stop Tahldrig from being the one who caused the pain.. In a round about sort of way, even though she was attacking people, they were still there for her. That became more and more clear to her with each bit of the curse that lifted away.
  2119.
2120. Even after Keitaro finished the archon off, the holy magus did feel she owed something to the archon. It gave her a bit of understanding. There are times in Tahl's life that she feels as if nobody cares at all for her, not even her best friends. Yet what the archon showed her is that.. even at her worst, when she's trying to hurt people.. maybe she's not going to be abandoned by her friends.
  2121.
2122. She slowly sits up to look in the direction of whever Keitaro slew the archon and she smiles.
  2123.
2124. "Thank you.." she says in a hushed whisper.
  2125.
2126. Part of her has always wanted some sort of affirmation that others care.. this serves that function. Everyone knew she could have chosen to die on the spot, but even when the fighting started, nobody seemed mad at her.
  2127.
2128. She could apologize to the ones she attacked another time, after being the one to harm her friends though.. she's going to make her way back to the boat to go home. There's no more fight in her this evening.
  2129. (Tahldrig)
  2130.
2131. No matter what she tried or where she went, that Archon was no match for her. She could run as fast as she could, but there was no corner safe enough for her to hide. From one side of the field to the other, she was bounced around like a pinball, forced to suffer each and ever telekinetic blow. It went through her body, battering her lungs and organs alike.
  2132.
2133. She couldn't feel anything by time she'd fallen for the last and final time. Everything was spinning, and for a second, that horrible taste of iron pooled inside her mouth. She spat not once, but twice until splatters of blood covered the cobblestone beneath her. When she laid her eyes upon the ichor? She practically choked.
  2134.
2135. On her words and on the blood both.
  2136.
2137. "T-... Tobias?" She sputters clearly more terrified than she had been before. Somewhere? Her hat was lost among the wreckage-- likely turned to ash and dust by now. Even that once pristine daisy she wore tucked behindher ear had been stained with blood.
  2138.
2139. Then she sees him-- knocked unconscious on the pavement. Her heart stops, and upon fearing that he might've been dead, she picks herself up, only to stumble to his side where she immediately falls again upon her knees. Though there wasn't much strength in her bones to do anything else, she had at least used the last of it to get to his side.
  2140.
2141. And just like him? She collapses, falling into line directly beside him before she could even check if he was still alive herself.
  2142. (Maisie)
  2143.
2144. A chance. When the Archon turns to the rest, assuming all of them defeated, it becomes his final opportunity to put it to the end. Where the rest fall, and the blood gathers around his form as result of constant battering.. the breathing steadily becoming the only cacophony he hears alongside the beating of his heart.
  2145.
  2146. The tunnel vision,
2147. and all he sees is the target ahead.
  2148.
2149. Step, after step, after step- drip, after drip, after drip; the cocktail of adrenaline courses in his veins, even with the constant thrumming of pain that is brought about in his chest, where each and every dislocated rib causes him immense pain. But he endures and stays silent. He cannot let the Archon hear him.
  2150.
2151. Instead, what becomes felt is the second breath granted by spiritual essence he taps into. The dark and the light he feeds upon, embedded into his chest, right where the injury was located- he may be bleeding out and wounded, but there's only one thing on his mind.
  2152.
  2153. To kill it.
  2154.
2155. The gaze of drakanite considerably darkens with each step. The necessity to end this becomes clear.. and where the Archon dropped his guard, the end was nearing- approaching it steadily from behind. Until..
  2156.
2157. A sudden blow from behind. The handful of lightning, imbued by the mightiest spiritual essence and the Shenlong's blessings he could possibly muster at this point, giving it not all, but one-hundred-and-ten of his all; a strike meant to pierce right through its heart and grasp upon it, blowing a sizeable hole from behind. Where his arm tears right through Archon's chest, he roars..
  2158.
  2159. "DIE!"
  2160.
2161. All this frustration, all of this pain - it was worth it. In the end, he promised that he would kill it for all that it's done, for all that it's put them through.. and he could not pass up the opportunity of upholding that promise. Not when the rest sacrificed so much.
  2162.
2163. But as the brutal blow is dealt, and he assures himself that the Archon has perished, he gives in to the pain; the heart is roughly squeezed until it pops, and his arm is steadily retracted back. It was over.
  2164.
  2165. But at what cost..
2166. when all he can see is encroaching dark.
  2167.
2168. A collapse. Not unconscious, but not quite back to his senses just yet. He needed a moment, even if brief. For now..
  2169. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  2170.
  2171. The Council Chambers...
  2172.
2173. Hundreds upon thousands of runes fill what may otherwise be a vacant room.
  2174.
2175. Idle wires which hang from the ceiling, projection pads long since having gone dim.
  2176.
2177. Each surrounding a massive figure in the center, a cold and lifeless body surrounded by chairs far too large for humans.
  2178.
2179. Each with a familiar vacant body resting upon those thrones.
  2180.
  2181. Ignis.
  2182.
  2183. Telethrene.
  2184.
  2185. Kalon.
  2186.
2187. All those which had long since been slain, their true bodies rest as silent as ever.
  2188.
2189. Peaceful, one could say. As though somehow enjoying a pleasant nap.
  2190.
2191. Clusters of the spire litter the room, far larger than any simple shard.
  2192.
2193. And above that massive figure..?
  2194.
2195. Pulsating far above the council was a golden rod...
  2196.
2197. Thrumming with the same power as those Shadow Items before it.
  2198. [Narrate]
  2199.
2200. It isn't clear to him just how this sort of monstrosity could possibly exist, how it could be feeding on the power of Spires and not.. mutate, or even simply explode from the excess of its power. Even then, despite the wounds experienced, despite all the turmoil and struggle prior to this, his gaze looks up in awe and wonder.
  2201.
2202. For this is too great to be something simple.
  2203.
2204. No, it would be something divine. Albeit, expected, but this is still nothing that he imagined. He wasn't sure what they were supposed to do now.. and he certainly doubted that simply swinging against it would be a wise decision at all.
  2205.
2206. "..Can it speak? Is there mechanism to this?"
  2207.
2208. Perhaps, Keitaro was far too worn out to be thinking straight. After being practically caked in blood, both his own and countless Demons, and of that Archon.. it couldn't be any other way.
  2209. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  2210.
  2211. Surrounded...
  2212.
2213. Amidst such a room a massive spire would stretch above this group.
  2214.
2215. It's illustrious power shining that much more potent as one by one, these humans trickled in.
  2216.
2217. Runes which each seemed only to repeat that which was already known, runes which were meant to heighten the output of power this spire could produce.
  2218.
2219. Each would shine with brilliance as a massive cluster of spire crystals shone within the chest of this being.
  2220.
  2221. And...
  2222.
2223. Speed would soon follow, one such massive claw instantly swatting Calael from these skies. Gravity pushing down upon the armor of this man all the while, the sounds of bones cracking audible across these chambers. (Temp, 12 days.)
  2224.
2225. "The Council has decided your fate..."
  2226.
2227. The voice of Ignis would ring.
  2228.
2229. "You humans who defile our land..."
  2230.
2231. Lamashatu would speak, her voice as daunting as ever.
  2232.
  2233. "Will suffer the consequences."
  2234.
2235. Kalon and Diastisma rang in a sort of unison.
  2236.
2237. "You listened to your songbird..!"
  2238.
2239. The High-pitched voice of Telethrene would cry.
  2240.
2241. "Though such a decision was foolish."
  2242.
  2243. Aciona would speak.
  2244.
2245. "Humans! Plague upon our lands! We of The Council have decided your fates! We of The Council have decided... Your race will die."
  2246.
2247. All but two voices would ring..!
  2248.
2249. Telethrene and Diastisma, oddly silent for such a decree.
  2250.
  2251. And...
  2252.
2253. As that final voice rang outwards...
  2254.
2255. This massive, hulking figure of a construct would begin to rise.
  2256.
2257. Those idle, sleeping bodies of The Councilmen being pulled into the fleshy substance of this abomination.
  2258.
2259. It moved in preperation to strike.
  2260. [Narrate]
  2261.
2262. Needless to say, it was daunting to imagine that there was something much greater than the Archon they faced. What looked like something impossible to overcome.. and now, they were greeted by something much greater. Something no less than god-like, or at least he imagined it to be that way- but in the end, he always was clinging to a single thought.
  2263.
2264. Talking to them is futile.
  2265.
2266. The previous Archon that led them, the Council that now stands before them.. while their reasons could be understood, they were vastly against what humanity wished to stand for. And whenever they allowed even the tiniest bit of trust, it would backfire against them immensely.
  2267.
2268. So much, that some could simply die.
  2269.
2270. Yet again the Shenlong draws upon his weapon. He may be caked in blood of Demons and Archons, but it's mixed with his own, and the suffering sustained earlier becomes evident in how he moves. A furrow of his brown.. though, they could not back away now, could they?
  2271.
2272. "...Knew it was going to say something like this."
  2273.
2274. Tired would be an accurate word for him. Despite such, the thunder gathers around Keitaro, looking out for weak points in its structure- after comparing it to those of keys, of how swords also had wires all over them, he figures that's where he must strike. The time for talk was over, and so..
  2275.
2276. The lightning surges towards it,
  2277. and battle commences.
  2278. (Keitaro Tennouji)
  2279.
  2280. Cataclysmic.
  2281.
2282. Destruction, all of which overwhelmed and dwarfed the demons before such a creation.
  2283.
2284. When the voice of an Archon would shift, their magic would spill from this creation forged years prior.
  2285.
  2286. "Humans!"
  2287.
2288. Ignis would cry, his flames consuming the entirety of these chambers as they had all those years prior.
  2289.
2290. "March proudly towards your deaths! For those who have sieged our shore, you must prove your powers, your resolve in my flames."
  2291.
2292. Seishi would find himself consumed by a massive wall of fire, his arm being caught first in those flames as the flesh upon such twisted and contorted. Haunting this man for the rest of his days. (Perm, -5 vit.)
  2293.
2294. Yandir, would find themselves luckier than most. While the flames danced along their body, while they seared his flesh and sought to peel away the skin... He had only just managed to push through that wall of fire, being left without permanent grotesque injuries. (Temp, 12 days.)
  2295.
  2296. "I'm... Sorry."
  2297.
2298. Would be all Telethrene spoke.
  2299.
2300. The booming sounds which slammed outwards from this creation striking both Miyu, Calista and Calael alike. Their eardrums endlessly ringing, vibrations in their mind that felt almost otherworldly would linger for years on end. (Temp, 12 days each.)
  2301.
2302. "I had warned you, humans."
  2303.
  2304. Spoke Diastisma.
  2305.
2306. The sudden flow of cosmic energy which swelled from these skies above, more than enough to knock aside Elyon. His screams would echo across these halls no doubt, as the sudden surge of cosmic energy flowing through his veins were more than his circuitry could handle. Scars all across his shattered arm all that remain, as it lay dead and limp... Akin to a corpse. (Perm, -10 vit.)
  2307.
2308. Nyphadora would also find herself victim to this monsters strikes, one swipe of this beings claw snatching a wing from this Fae. Cleaved off in a single, bloody moment as she fall upon the ground besides Elyon. (Perm, -10 vit.)
  2309.
2310. "Be consumed by the winter which follows in my path."
  2311.
2312. Spoke the voice of Kalon. Hundreds of shards of ice jutting upwards from the ground, one such spike impaling Adrian through his leg...
  2313.
2314. There was no hesitation, as a sizeable hole had completely been put just below the knee of this frozen drakanite. (-5 vit.)
  2315.
2316. Eiphraem would find himself victim to a similar fate, his tail impaled just besides that of Adrian. The ichor of this demon spilling across that ice, leaving a wound that would surely haunt this Archon for the rest of his days. (-5 vit.)
  2317.
  2318. Reito and Isaac...
  2319.
2320. Both would find themselves knocked to the side, both mere inches from having their heads cleaved straight from their bodies...
  2321.
2322. Lovers luck, no doubt. (No nerf, same rolls for both.)
  2323.
  2324. "... Fall, humans."
  2325.
2326. An unknown voice of this council would speak.
  2327.
2328. Those massive claws jutting outwards, soon aiming to take hold of what two figures those crimson eyes would soon settle upon.
  2329.
  2330. Eshmun, Sior.
  2331.
2332. Before this group could even so much as react, before a single breath could be taken...
  2333.
2334. Horror would fill the gaze of all.
  2335.
2336. Man and Fae, impaled upon this creatures bloodied claws.
  2337.
  2338. Cold...
  2339.
  2340. Lifeless...
  2341.
2342. As though their existence had been taken just as quickly as they had aimed to stand against this monster.
  2343.
2344. The core upon this being would continue to glow, continue to surge as their lifeless bodies dropped upon the ground below.
  2345.
2346. Their death, the pride and joy this abomination took for even a second enough to relish in such...
  2347.
  2348. Would be just enough.
  2349.
2350. Just enough of a distraction needed...
  2351.
2352. For a small, unsuspecting daemon trained by a certain daemon tamer...
  2353.
2354. To land what blows were needed, needed to bring this creature down from it's high of power.
  2355.
2356. So that the others, so that the might of each combined nation...
  2357.
2358. May scatter this monster into a million pieces.
  2359. [Narrate]
  2360.
2361. He knew the absolute was waiting just ahead.
  2362.
2363. The dangers present would be far too overwhelming to simply ignore, and when the being of pure rampage nears him time and time again, the first instinct that Shenlong taps into is to defend himself. The scales are raised alongside holy magics, and where it seeks to have him burned or clawed, he becomes far too tough to even pierce.
  2364.
2365. It doesn't last long, and he's forced to retreat occasionally.
  2366.
2367. Instead, the thunder strikes true again, showing the might he possessed despite the reflective magics that the combined might of Archons, of this Abomination, would strike out against them all. Where he seeks to rejunevate himself upon that very same magic, but..
  2368.
2369. It's all too difficult. One after another, they fall. One after another, the chaos amidst their groups ensues to the point of almost no return. There's no telling just how brutal it can all get- and no time is spared to strike against the monster at each possible opportunity, dashing upon it time and time again. But amidst one of such lunges..
  2370.
2371. He's far too late to do anything,
2372. as it murders Eshmun right before his eyes.
  2373.
2374. "Esh!" He doesn't want to believe that he died. He doesn't want to believe that it's over, despite the overwhelming evidence. And whereas the monster is caught in the moment of weakness, thunder befalls upon its form; rejuvenated, the dragon fought tooth and nail like no other.
  2375.
2376. As if his life depended on it,
2377. but in the end, it was another's.
  2378.
2379. Piece by piece, the monster falls. Supposedly, this brings them respite, the victory they craved so much- instead, all that he sees is the man fall before his very eyes, and the entirety of his mind taken by that.
  2380.
2381. "Elyon, Esh is down!" A desperate hope that he wasn't dead quite yet. But in the back of his mind, he knew it wasn't like that. Oh no, it's probably already far too late - and nothing could be done.
  2382.
2383. But the hope dies last.
  2384.
2385. And only after he hurries to the fallen Hirai twin, he could witness the wound that looks only worse and worse while he makes his way closer. That hope is steadily dying with each step he takes..
  2386.
  2387. "Esh..?"
  2388.
  2389. How could this happen?

2642. Bruised and injured, the Fairy could barely keep himself in working order. It fled from the massive onslaught, the magic that expelled out from the foe that would threaten the lives of more than just himself. All this Fairy could do was try to preserve its life, just for a while longer.
  2643.
2644. Long enough to see which way the winds would sway.
  2645.
2646. From The Council a volley of cosmic might makes way for the small, little bug. It tries to evade - it does not succeed. The injuries are numerous, with limbs breaking and tears rupturing across its form. But that was not he final nail in the coffin for Sior.

2669. Her wings only carried her so far, a hailstorm of blades and shards shredding whatever they came in contact with. Those infernous beasts striking at the abominations legs.
  2670.
2671. All of her power being thrown forth, and she would outlast most in the end. Though this fight was no longer for the Spire, it had become a fight for all of humanity. They could not afford to lose.
  2672.
  2673. Fall humans.
  2674.
2675. A pulse of wind striking her from the air even as the sound of the displaced air itself rang in her mind, ears ringing she truly became a falling Angel. The hard stones cracked beneath her..
  2676.
2677. Broken.. but no, that wasn't the case. She had to rise, to live. She had made a promise and she would be damned if she were the one to break it.
  2678.
2679. For moments she could do naught but try to gain her senses, though thankfully it was too occupied to do more. Though soon she rose, her ears and mind resounding with that sound.
  2680.
2681. Her magic forming emeralds in her hands that were rapidly crushed, the green ether streaming to her more superficial wounds to heal them.
  2682.
2683. She rejoined the remainder of the fight, maintaining more of a distance than before to ensure she wasn't injured further.. though it wasn't too far beyond this that Ashalle landed the final assault upon the Council.
  2684.
2685. Which was all and well... but she kept rubies on the rod, one hand on the spire shard in her pocket. Ebon wings held her in the air more of those life giving emeralds keeping her stable.

  2687.
2688. He knew the absolute was waiting just ahead.
  2689.
  2691.
2692. It doesn't last long, and he's forced to retreat occasionally.
  2693.
2694. Instead, the thunder strikes true again, showing the might he possessed despite the reflective magics that the combined might of Archons, of this Abomination, would strike out against them all. Where he seeks to rejunevate himself upon that very same magic, but..
  2695.
  2697.
2698. He's far too late to do anything,
2699. as it murders Eshmun right before his eyes.
  2700.
2701. "Esh!" He doesn't want to believe that he died. He doesn't want to believe that it's over, despite the overwhelming evidence. And whereas the monster is caught in the moment of weakness, thunder befalls upon its form; rejuvenated, the dragon fought tooth and nail like no other.
  2702.
2703. As if his life depended on it,
2704. but in the end, it was another's.
  2705.
2706. Piece by piece, the monster falls. Supposedly, this brings them respite, the victory they craved so much- instead, all that he sees is the man fall before his very eyes, and the entirety of his mind taken by that.
  2707.
2708. "Elyon, Esh is down!" A desperate hope that he wasn't dead quite yet. But in the back of his mind, he knew it wasn't like that. Oh no, it's probably already far too late - and nothing could be done.
  2709.
2710. But the hope dies last.
  2711.
2712. And only after he hurries to the fallen Hirai twin, he could witness the wound that looks only worse and worse while he makes his way closer. That hope is steadily dying with each step he takes..

2721. It was alive. Given that it spent most of the encounter running itself away from hurled meteors and massive chunks of ice that erupted from the ground, however, perhaps it made sense that in the end it would suffer no wound. The creature huffs and pants, desperately moving with all of its might and speed to avoid the fight..
  2722.
2723. ..But quickly does it realize the slow demand for the massive archons occultic energies flowing within. It's eyes level, and where before it kept a massive distance, with time he aimed to start pushing closer. Occultic paws smash into the ground, propelling it forwards time and time again.
  2724.
2725. Finally, shoved into a corner amidst the carnage of the combat, with people being ripped apart from all sides- It decides to either become prey, or become a predator. It's entire body lunges forwards, pouncing upon the creature with voracity and rage..
  2726.
2727. Despite its size, however, it doesn't manage to do much aside from tear into flesh and rip off a pathetically small, cat-sized piece. It lands to the side just as a few others find themselves impaled upon the monster's claws, idly chewing upon the chunk that it had barely managed to rend from the creature.
  2728.
2729. The taste of the fallen Archons from before were nothing compared to this- A taste of this creature of nigh demonic perfection, still alive and flowing with mana flowed through its every orifice, its every being. It inhales, slowly, before swallowing down what it had, turning about as the rest of the group, if only briefly.
  2730.
2731. Presumably it would be met with early celebration or mourning. Lives lost and lives taken, and yet they had pushed themselves all the way this far. It shifts, ever so slightly, almost uncomfortably in its demonic skin.
  2732.
  2733. And then, it stands.
  2734.
2735. Its form rises from the occultic body that it had grown used to, the felinid becoming a wispy sphere of demonic energy into a near humanoid form. Jagged spikes roll off of its body, and the lightning that once comprised its core forms around in horrid, irregular arcs of electricity.
  2736.
2737. ..And if one would look closer, they would see the faintest hits of stardust, cosmic magic that it had absorbed passively and turned into its own from the extremely potent cosmic users it had encountered, perhaps even from the creatures flesh it had just eaten.
  2738.
2739. Not a cat anymore. Something else entirely.
  2740.
2741. ..Good. A singular word muttered from lips that weren't quite steady or stable. A clawed hand reaches down, finding vitriol and gore from the archon within its fingertips, and it simply moves to devour it.
  2742.
2743. There is but one thing remaining. Our prize.

  2749.
2750. He had to rely on them while making sure Eiphraem didn't suffer too much either. Moving in and out of combat, ice scattering across the ground and coating the edge of the abomination.
  2751.
2752. Ice does its job, while hydras bite down into its form and slow it's movements down. Constantly damage, the constant onslaught of attacks. He was putting his all into bringing it down, making sure it was primed and weakened for his allies to move in and out of combat.
  2753.
2754. The dancing of ice shards flutter as his body forms into a mist. Scattering across the metal surface, while denting it. But those shatter and he finds himself pushed back, even more, each step taken deadly...

2760. Again, those same particles of ice come to greet his form. Having lost an arm to this before. Now is focused on his leg. Just below the knee, a large whole erupts out causing blood to spew out onto the ground. Moments before his blood splashes, it turns into little icicles.
  2761.
2762. The hole freezes over, as he refuses to let himself fall. The crack and snap of bone, while doing his best to stay on his feet. Ice practically floods out of his body, a cold mist that scatters around his form.

2769. Skadi's genesis is swung, causing a shockwave of wind to slash down into the body of the abomination. It's limbs freezing over and stiffening. But before he knew it, the final blow was dealt. The Daemon controlled by Ashalle launching forwards, finally putting this hulk into the ground.
  2770.
2771. Adrian would use this time to regain his strength, but instead, he limps over to Calael and Eiphraem, even Satsuki. A bloodied grin on his face, while slits slowly shift onto what they had lost.
  2772.
2773. Eshmun... The man was starting to actually grow on him, someone that he enjoyed being around. Someone that wanted to give these demons a chance, while many screamed to attack. Why him? Why could it not be anyone else? ''Why...'' They didn't even get to spar with his new abilities... Not even given the chance.
  2774.
2775. Ardith... She was going to be torn apart, yet it wasn't his place to reveal this tragedy. Was it his place to even weep? A frown... Victory comes at a cost, but now something else had to be attained. Eshmun death wouldn't be in vain, no.
  2776.

2810. It was an outstanding battle, and one Reito frankly did not anticipate surviving. Perhaps she had overly dour thoughts, but she had a dour outlook upon battle to begin with. That's why she had strived so hard in order to avoid battle with Kranus. Yet stepping into these chambers, she knew very well that that outcome would not be possible with whatever creature they encountered within.
  2811.
  2812. And it was true.
  2813.
2814. Fire and cosmic rattled the group, meteors being launched downwards, and fire raining all around them. However Reito pushed on, alongside Genmei. It was all she could do to avoid too much damage, thanks at Satsuki's own holy magic enveloping her in it's soothing embrace. She was fortunate.
  2815.
2816. Even once she had gone down, alongside Isaac, they were spared injury. Truly, Jiuweihu was watching over not just her, but him as well. It was a literal warzone above her head, and it was only thanks to the very end and Ashalle managed to sunder the creature with the final blow, thanks in part to her own Daemons.
  2817.
2818. Ironic, that something made by Archons and Demons was taken down by a Daemon.
  2819.
2820. Eventually, Reito managed to climb herself back to her feet, surveying the destruction and carnage. Two dead - that brought a heavy frown to her face and she shook her head. Pink eyes would briefly look to Elyon… Losing a twin was no easy matter. She had heard many things of how close twins were, usually.
  2821.
2822. Sior… The magical little Fae was gone as well, and her heart cried for the poor thing. No Fae deserved to go out like that - but there was nothing Reito could truly do.

2835. Triumph and tragedy had decided to tread hand in hand, that day. Were death and pain constants, always awaiting wherever the promises of accomplishment and victory rested? Even as the hope born from the Alliance's victory shone and pierced into and beyond the horror wrought by the colossal, disorderly construct, there was no jubilation or elation born from it.
  2836.
2837. As the Council fell, Yandir could only remain inert- shoulders slumped, eyes downcast, crestfallen to an incredibly somber, dismal front, for right before him, was lain Eshmun's corpse.
  2838.
2839. Many who were dear to him had fallen in the expeditions to the Spire Islands, but it was the Hirai's downfall the first to strike a blow at his conviction. Had this all been truly worth it, regardless of the gravity of what awaited beyond?
  2840.
2841. The sarradian fell to his knees, completely oblivious to the charred surface of his flesh, as his dull eyes blankly stared onto the fallenmagi's impaled corpse. Every inch of that sight evoked gruesome horror, and yet, Yandir could not fathom to looki away.
  2842.
2843. This was what the Council had foretoken, and the fate the Alliance of the Four earned for themselves. The bright future of their utopic dreams stood reachable, even if unthinkably high-flown, but the steps all the way up to it were paved upon blood and the trampled dreams of those who would never seize the opportunity to see the works that led to their deaths concluded.
  2844.

  2917.
2918. Lightning surged from within, striking at the fields with Occult energies and streams of water following- Whilst she possessed little power compared to most of the heavy hitters here, her arsenal of magic was what she would use to be useful.
  2919.
2920. A surplus of combinations was utilized, each magic mostly wielded for the sake of keeping herself and Isaac up at all times, a task she would seem to fail ever so horribly at today! For whilst the man was indeed out of harm's way together with Reito, it would seem Nyphadora was not...
  2921.
2922. Meteors were flung down from above, their striking force terrifying! And Nyphadora had found herself amidst the very center of the group, rushing to get out! But just as she thought she had escaped the harm, everything went bad--
  2923.
2924. Just barely not out of the way, one of the cosmic rocks had caught the right wing of the Fae and much like the rumours hinted of her Kin… She was fragile.
  2925.
2926. It was torn off in an instant, Nyphadora barely having time to react before crashing into the ground... And there she would lay, voiceless for a moment or two, simply twitching to those able to see her lie in the little crater from her own crash.

Focused on the Chieftain's own form, if anything.
  2936.
2937. Cosmic energy manifests itself, almost cleaving the skies in half before they strike down with more than enough impact to knock Elyon aside-- it's painful, agonizing beyond belief and when those lips of his part, only loud, piercing screams find their way out. Mana blitzes past his circuitry, and even Synmael's own resistance couldn't particularly withstand it or so. Scars worse than any other litter his shattered arm, now dead, permanently disabled.

He couldn't really process it all any further, and the younger twin merely watched, expressions utterly blank-- even Keitaro's shouts are drowned out, somehow.
  2944.
2945. Death wasn't kind, really... and Elyon knew as much. That it snatched wherever it could, taking people who were far too young, far too good-- or with far too much yet to accomplish. It didn't pretend to care, it didn't pretend to distinguish.
  2946.

2969. Dashing over, the man would simply dash over alongside Keitaro with that same dying hope exuding from his being, a merely wordless, horrified glance would be paid over to Elyon now as he had to see his brother like this..
  2970.
2971. Lowering his head some, with the Archon's influence being evicerated, finally by a final fateful blow stretching from the sin of Pride herself. That cost was beginning to weigh in now...
  2972.
2973. They'd given everything for this.
  2974.
2975. That unsettling numbness flowed forth and outward, fading into a stinging that rang throughout his body, and was surely welcomed at the moment.. He wanted to feel this. His runes flickering and glowing dull.
  2976.
2977. He wanted to mourn what they'd given up.

2982. LOOC - Nyphadora: (oh c'mon its super early)

2984. She'd also offer a hand for Nyphadora to pick her up since she couldn't fly.

2987. LOOC - Illrixis: (I believe my evos may have completely and utterly fucked. I'm going to relog to see if it changes anything.)
  2988.
  2989. LOOC - Illrixis: (hmm!)
  2990.
2991. Look at how far you've gotten. After falling. After drowning. After losing herself within denial for years upon years - she still stands when the rest of the world does not. Is it glory that she pursues? Is it victory? The chance to have all eyes on her when the moment is nigh or is there more to be said? There is something terribly bloodied about moments such as this. Where bodies are flung about the arena - where oxygen becomes thin amongst the wind tunnels and magi huddle close together to hide from the raining starfire.
  2992.
2993. Stay with me. There were unspoken promises within this moment. Where she tries to contain her feelings...Where she tries to bundle the necessity within each and every strike...For while there might have been a smile upon her features, the pain that radiates through her being cannot ever be matched. For she remembers each and every element inflicted upon her being...For she remembers what it was like to be infected by the curse...
  2994.
2995. But regardless of all of that, she still moves..
  2996.
2997. Sin and decadence enwreathed within an obsidian spear. "Die." She had learned to be ruthless. She hadl earned to be cold...To shut down emotion and yet, as the spear launches and impales the extremities of the creature, she remains not being 'enough'...And instead, calls for an opportunistic being..
  2998.
2999. "Eira..! Now!" And just as commanded, the daemon would seek to damage the core. Fangs of ice and occult lodging itself...Shattering, weakening it, as if somehow..It could restore what was lost by the spires through the use of it's energy and yet...
  3000.
3001. Together, the lot of them scatter the creature to the wind...But not without loss. For within the violent thrashing and words- she sees nothing more than chaos happening..
  3002.
3003. "..Sior.." Saying his name is nothing more than a breathless endeavor. For where he once flew through the air, she rushes...As if she could capture him before he fell. As if she could fit him within the palm of her hand once more- and squeeze...
  3004.
3005. "...Sior, we-..We did it. I did it." A flicker. A flutter of the heart. A gentle laugh that threatens to spill into something slightly more. Perhaps, it is child-like of her to act in such a way when it happens...To see people die before their time. To not understand...But to know that within the palm of her hands...He slips through- becoming insignificant and everywhere, just as how she imagined that he would be..
  3006.
  3007. Free.<
  3008.
3009. "We fucking won.." And yet, within her own delusions, she squeezes the dust within her hand...As if she could make him squeak once more. As if she could make him respond despite all that had occurred...
  3010.
3011. No matter how much pain.
  3012. Now matter the annoyance.
  3013.
3014. She was his human. And he was her fae. And the loss is not something that comes easy...But even she understands. For what people see as of now is another person's heart breaking...Where she refuses to open her clenched fist in fear that even the smallest essence of his being might slip away..
  3015.
3016. "It's not over for you-...For this. Not yet, I promise." But for now, she rises to a stand once more...To glance within the direction of another comrade. And to close her heart off from his death as well..

3032. The job wasn't over until it was over.
  3033.
3034. Adonis had come looking for excitement and adventure, and he had found more of it in this one expedition than the average man would want in his life. Yet, he was not satisfied.
  3035.
3036. The thrill of having his life on the line was something like a drug, and addictive action that almost rivaled people calling him beautiful or a certain nagual running her hands through his hair. It was something that he needed to grow and advance! This is what it meant to be alive. But winning and defeating the foe would show him what it meant to be victorious. To sit at the very top of the foodchain.
  3037.
3038. And so he dances forward, weaving and dodging the various techniques of the council through the art of Wayfinding. What he could not avoid he crystalizes, converting the mana to a crystalline form of energy. His allies were dropping like flies. But the Lelhua was on a hotstreak. Adrenaline pumping, and his superior magi technique funneling more energy than it should, despite Yu's very recent death due to a lot of the same.
  3039.
3040. A sudden burst of cosmic lashes out to engulf Sior beside him, and the only thing Adonis can think to do is keep pushing forward. He speeds by the Archon Eiphraem Kang, and the Oracle Kang right after to arrive back at the frontlines with a dazzling smile on his face and stardust erupting from his frame.
  3041.
3042. " Come on. Come on! This is what it feels like to shine! We're so close! " But he could already tell from his current location that Ashalle was going to beat him to the punch. She was going to land the decisive blow that would dismantle the council and put an end to an ancient group of demons that wanted the humans to die.
  3043.
3044. It wasn't his place to do so, was it? Probably not. But he came to make a name for himself. To place the Lelhua name back on top. He could almost taste it. And smell the scent of admiration from all. Something within him snaps yet again, and the youth enters a frenzy that only increases his speed.
  3045.
3046. The cosmic trailing behind him becomes focused and refined, much like the holy magic coming from the relic stuck in his chest. Rather than simply leaving a trail, it begins to solidify and focus to take the shape of something that all starbound entities needed to fly.
  3047.
  3048. Wings.
  3049.
3050. They sprout out from his back and extend out to the length of his wingspan as he bursts forward into a cosmic dash, hellbent on taking that 'kill' from the Pride Sin's very hands.
  3051.
3052. But alas. The strain of maintaining both the manifested cosmic wings and the golden super magi technique proves to be too much when combined with his wounds from the previous battle, and both sources of power all but shut off just as hereaches the airspace above Briar Locke's founder.
  3053.
3054. His mana circuits were overwhelmed, and he was exhausted. Too exhausted to exert himself further, but never too tired to stand. The Wayfinder lands on the ground with a graceful thud and shakes his ponytail back over his shoulder as the events play out and their already thinned heard becomes even thinner.
  3055.
3056. " So close to flyin', too. Fine! You can have this one. " He looks across the way to a now mourning Ashalle and mutters this phrase under his breath, more upset at his limits than anything. But the good thing about knowing his limits was understanding just how much further he could still grow.

  3060.
  3061. Death was coming.
  3062.
3063. Before it ever hit however, life flashed by their eyes, like a slow motion picture show, Knossoss, Thorin, Zethra, Quadrus, Rikona, Sam. Friends from the past that he still thought about every now and then. Then came memories further along, when they were betrayed by Levengard, soon after where he had made a home in Gehenna and Ashalle captured them.
  3064.
3065. Proceeding to a release, something he still owed to Keitaro to this very day. Afterwards were even the best years of his life, the time they stayed in Gehenna, the many friends made, some even having been from the Academy itself.
  3066.
3067. Connections were created, Declan, Saba, Sieg, Tahl, Yandir, yet some were severed soon after. But all in all, that time had been enjoyable, something he fondly thought back to. It was their beginnings in Gehenna.
  3068.
3069. But those weren't the greatest. Life pressed onwards to their time with Ardith, the love shared and the family that was only now working on being grown.
  3070.
3071. So many memories, so many things to say...So much advice he still had to give to the world, research plans never to be done. It all was ended, by a very simple claw that was piercing through their chest.
  3072.
3073. As it was piercing through however, with death coming, a gaze moved onto Elyon. His younger twin, someone that had been in every single memory they had, always around, always existing...Pushing forth, as he should.
  3074.
3075. Lightly they smiled, before it all went cold, everything vanishing while regrets manifested in his head. So many things, so little time.

  3093.
3094. A million pieces - certainly, but there was one part in particular that Satsuki aimed to spare. Eiphraem had called out about it, and though her immediate reaction was one of curiosity, that gave way to agreement. They were, she figured, on the same page here. As she engaged the construct, its core was her priority.
  3095.
3096. Destroying the creature or seizing the shadow tool were of no interest to her. No, she had her eyes locked onto that one part of it. Even if her companions fell, she simply had to keep going. Bestial instinct worked in overdrive, aided by the precognition offered to her by Wisdom and Telethrene's eye - and the Kitsune far past her prime dodged claws and magic with speed and grace not typically afforded to people her age.
  3097.
3098. For the first time in so long, so many things depended on it.
  3099.
3100. She waited ever so patiently for an opening she knew would come; she wasn't sure when, but the timelines laid bare before her all told the tale of that promised moment she waited for. There would be deaths - she saw them, so many of them, but she couldn't ascertain who yet. It wouldn't have been helpful for her to call it out.
  3101.
3102. During a brief lull, her gaze darted about the room until she found the "correct" spot the eye predicted - and she moved into place. The construct drew near and attacked, and a swing of Insatiable deflected its claw. Satsuki pressed onward, remaining within close proximity to the guardian for the remainder of the fight.
  3103.
3104. Nothing could be gained by keeping her distance. The white petals that danced about her form whirled around her like a shield, and the Kitsune's fire aided her in staying close to the creature while remaining as safe as possible.
  3105.
3106. She didn't like to compare herself to a vulture - but when the guardian fell, she aimed to be in position to extract the core.
  3107.
3108. Nothing else mattered - not the cat-demon that would devour it, not the rest of the group that wants to break it into a million pieces, not...
  3109.
3110. Her gaze shifted a solid second before it had any reason to, and she caught the moment Eshmun was impaled - she was so close to it, so... personal. She knew this would happen. She knew somebody would end up skewered by that claw - two somebodies, evidently, as Sior was taken too. Knowing something was about to happen didn't make it any easier.
  3111.
3112. And emotionally stunted though she may have been - being so close to someone in their final moments was never an easy thing.
  3113.
3114. Her attention turned back to the guardian's final moments - at that daemon moving in to destroy the core.
  3115.
  3116. No.
  3117.
  3118. No no no.
  3119.
  3120. "Absolutely not."
  3121.
3122. The Kitsune pressed onward again with Adrian, ostensibly to stop that from happening. Protecting that core was a priority. The construct could die for all she cared - in whatever way anyone saw fit. But that core... No, no - not like this.

  3127.
  3128.
3129. The time they've been waiting for and finally for Seishi to experience himself. He could already feel their power with even a gaze notice. The boom from his body and bones rattled as the battle began. It ended just as quick as it began..
  3130.
3131. Seishi tried his best to dish out attacks from a distance but that was the flaws of a mid-range fighter. Kiting was not his best suit but he could do it when the time called for it. His flames exited his palms and out of his lips. It didn't even tickle the Archon, not even a little. Seishi frowned, reaching to a point where he tried to exert more power. Letting his bolts of lightning rain from the sky, his tesla piercing through its flesh, and waves of fire encroaching its limbs. It wasn't enough. And before he knew it, it was too focused on getting attacks in that forgot to avoid its attacks...
  3132.
3133. A large wall of flames encroached Seishi. His body moving lightning quick, but to no avail could he have avoided it completely. The cloth of his coat burned in milliseconds the moment they touched. His skin being cooked in mere seconds; blackened at the sight that even the blood charred. Seishi stared at the wound once he was down. He wasn't the one to scream in pain instead, he stared at it... For a long time. His eyes were wide, noticing that this arm wouldn't be healed by a simple medic. It would need special care. The burn did more damage than even his own magic. He could already feel it numb to the point it started to feel like it was a useless limb. "I-It hurts... It... hurts..." he murmured, hesitating to even touch his own charred flesh.
  3134.
3135. Then it hit him. The corner of his eye, a body fell. A body he knew all too well. The black hair and the winds that surrounded said body.. "Eshmun..." Golden irises finally turn to see the downed warrior that once hunted him. One of the Hirai twins. He'd only think about how Elyon would react. Seishi couldn't say he knew him all too well, but it was a depressing sight to see him slain on the battlefield...
  3136.
3137. "He's down, slain, passed... This is an illusion. It has to be.." Seishi continued to speak to himself, on the ground watching. The sound was drowned out from his ears besides a pinging noise. Sior was gone too... Notable beings have been lost this day.
