- Submitted by: its me pai, yall already know me / 669 scrobbles
- Comment: Stop asking me if I'm okay, no I'm not, I'm unapologetically insane
- I just think its a cute song and I like the soft vocals, funnily enough she is also from my spanish reality talent show so i think 3 out of my 4 submissions in this have been from those artists, kinda cursed
- 2. Post Malone - Sunflower - Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
- Submitted by: sprung / 101 scrobbles
- Comment: Hello team,
- December was probably the worst month of 2020 for me but at least I'm ending it with a banger!!
- See you in 2021 o7
- 3. Seori - Fairy Tale
- Submitted by: Bargot / 100 scrobbles
- Comment: welp last month I was kinda introduced to krnb, and ever since I've been kinda obsessed, and this has to be one of my favourite songs I've listened to last month (including hate you by yerin baek which I subbed to a flash pl), it has a banger beat, and Seori's vocals are amazing.
- 4. Ratgod - Price of the Body
- Submitted by: somnam / 54 scrobbles
- Comment: their vocalist looks like a younger version of the dude from The Shining & their drummer had this to say about the EP release: _It's short, aggressive and heavy. Like ur mom._
- 5. Caroline Polachek - Breathless
- Submitted by: dream / 54 scrobbles
- Comment: I vaguely recall the original as I briefly listened to the radio around 2000, even if I was mainly drawn to trance at the time. This suits Caroline's voice so well, add to that Harle's PC music touches and you have an excellent cover.
- 6. Sematary - Taxidermy
- Submitted by: @moth#4010 / 53 scrobbles
- Comment: This was actually only #5 on my most played tracks in December, but it's the one that's been playing in my head the most. Probably one of the most catchy Sematary songs, it really grew on me despite me not being all that much into it back when this album came out in July 2020.. Can't believe it's already been so long!!
- 7. Brothertiger - Prideland
- Submitted by: halo / 51 scrobbles
- Comment: yes again because i fucking love this song. and now i've subbed brothertiger to every one of these playlists in 2020 🤡🐅 2021 resolution is to not do that but he did say there will be another LP this year soooo
- 8. Leonov - Tempest
- Submitted by: else / 40 scrobbles
- Comment: December sucked but at least I found a lot of new music and got to brainwash everyone into this band. Can't miss the opportunity to do that again so here we go. I found this band on RYM while trying to find post-metal with female vocals and fell in love for reasons unknown, possibly due to the shoegaze-y and post-rock -like vibes this gives off.
- A special shout out to death for simping this band with me, sharing this with you really warmed my heart. Maybe we'll see at a gig one day.
- 9. Anggun - Mimpi
- Submitted by: Chlo / 39 scrobbles
- Comment: Long write-up incoming.
- *in the pitch black of the night*
- *I stood against loneliness*
- *here, in this beach*
- *were buried a million memories*
- *hit by the harsh waves*
- *sinking below the reefs*
- *to never repeat*
- I'm not going to sub my most played song of December 2020... and it has a low play count (only as a Chlo sub, as I now have learned...), because I only rediscovered the song on the 30th...
- This song, *Mimpi* or dream, means so, so much to me. I haven't listened to it for some time, and I stumbled upon it only a few days ago... It's like I was thrown back in time within the first few seconds of the song. I played this song in an orchestra, to an audience I can never play for again, years ago. I'm kinda tearing up writing this now, hah.
- Then, why say that I have 39 scrobbles when Last.fm says I have 53? Well, this orchestral version I am subbing is a 2013 remake of the same titled 1989 rock song by the same artist, which then of course gets scrobbled under the same artist and title (despite being in different albums), so there goes that
- I don't know what to say about this song. In my eyes, it's the embodiment of beauty, power, elegance, hope. Lyrics suggest otherwise... but anyway. I hope you all enjoy. :)
- *soaring far, flying high*
- *with my dreams*
- *drowning in an ocean of emotions*
- *once I became aware*
- *you've gone far away*
- *leaving only a boundless dream*

- 13. Julianna Barwick - In light (feat. Jónsi)
- Submitted by: stefan / 33 scrobbles
- Comment: I listened to this a lot while struggling with sleep for around one week. That's pretty much the reason why it's here. But I do love the track so :)
- 14. Harakiri for the Sky - And Oceans Between Us
- Submitted by: TripToTheDentist / 30 scrobbles
- Comment: HFTS are about to release their next album later this month. "And Oceans Between Us" is the third single they've released so far and judging by those three songs, the album's gonna be amazing :relieved:, again. HFTS can do no wrong.
- *“Sometimes you meet a person you believe to be your soulmate, a person that can cure all the pains of previous heartbreaks. You think: ‘This is the person that will save me from this cold and lonely world’, just when starting to realise after some times, this person became the ailment as well and her words became poison.” - J.J.*

- Comment: It's been quite a month for me, musically speaking. My time in Norway has finished, just like my black metal phase. Instead, I started listening to a LOT of Nicole again, to the extent in which during the last week of the month she broke my all-time record in the amount of plays within a single week, and came somewhere close in the biggest amount of plays within a month (my 2014-16 Hollywood Undead and Deftones binges are too tough to beat). Also, I listened to a lot of Leonov, a post-rock/shoegaze band also from Norway (which replaced my Norwegian black metal binge quite well), which I can thank else for recommending it :black_heart: :flushedtunes: However, I was somewhat certain else would have submitted this artist to this playlist (and also being able to see that she did), I decided to go with a track that actually came on 1st place this month, along with Spotify-less song by Nicole, and it is this track. Pretty much the only song I was putting on a loop during the month and I do not tend to keep replaying songs (but even if I do, it's not 600 times). I like it cause it's fun, and there's something about the vocals that I can't quite put my finger on. It's great! Thank you stefan for submitting it to an earlier playlist! <3

- 22. Kelela - Blue Light
- Submitted by: sebekulten#2281 / 6 scrobbles
- Comment: the bassline! the MV! Enough said.
- (once again, it's not the most scrobbled song of the month, but my most scrobbled songs any given month turns out to be Playboi Carti's. That would be too boring for monthly selections)
- 23. The Devil Wears Prada - An Asteroid Towards Earth
