Operation: Burning Shards

Overview:

The city of Old Drakien II of the country of Zeru in the planet of Rameses II is constantly subjected to terrorist attacks and insurgency excursions. Operation Burning Shards aims to use all the assets of Project Impact to combat the terrorist elements and to also allow the installation of a new unit, "Death Wolf Brigade", as enforcing Death Squads in order to maintain peace and order.

The citizens of Old Drakien II has nothing to fear about the Death Squads. Death Wolves Brigade is open for recruitment for the citizens of Old Drakien I & II, and North Polarion City. In addition, the Operation aims to dissolve numerous large factions of DNUL elements. Aided by Bladefire Infantry, the casualties from both civilians and HCG may vary but it will ensure total cessation of terrorist and criminal activities in the area.


Rules of Engagement:

Impact Troopers are to be inserted in four key strategic locations that the Factions of Interests holds. They are to destabilize enemy activities through Fast-Strike-Tactics, leaving no survivors behind.

Bladefire Infantry is to be deployed country-wide to engage any Opposing Forces that may have managed to flee the Impact Troopers.

Death Wolves Brigade is currently being trained at Base-0134. They are to be inserted in the final days of Operation Burning Shards alongside Impact Troopers and Bladefire Infantry units.


Factions of Interests:

The following are the factions were targeted to be dissolved at the conclusion of the Operation:


Sword of Yaroshi

Started as a religious group, Sword of Yaroshi perceives the world as "Unclean" and therefore, needs to be cleansed. They carried out multiple terrorist attacks that had caused hundreds of casualties most notably, the Nerkon Marathon where 50 athletes and 200 civilians are killed in a Napalm Bomb detonation.

First appeared in 2888, the Sword of Yaroshi preached the word of its deity, Yaroshi, the chief God of North Polarion mythology. They briefly clashed with Border Patrol units stationed between the Twin Cities of Old Drakien and North Polarion until they infiltrated the city and placed sleeper cells.

HCG classifies the group as a Type Red Faction.


People's Revolutionary Army of Xi

Following the destruction of planet Xi in Alpha-Centurion-Gamma sector, the colonizer ships coming from Xi scattered across the galaxy. They were first encountered by HCG units in Richter and after numerous Extermination Missions carried out by the soldiers of Project Impact, Xi Rebels has managed to escape to Richter's neighbor, Rameses II.

The remaining rebels still carried out their activities, mostly directed at Blue Stone Infantry units. Impact Troopers has recently encountered the rebel group in a lengthy firefight. Their numbers were visibly diminished which earned them a Type-Yellow Threat from HCG.


Eschev Cell (X)

Eschev Cell is a paramilitary organization that appeared three months ago. Information about this mysterious group is currently unknown but they are known to engage Rameses Intraplanetary Constable Forces. They are known for the assassination of Security Major David Sarski in a public speech in year 2892. The HCG classifies this organization as Type Red.



Locations of Engagement:

Greynald Inc. Factory

Located in Industrialized Sector 8892 "Vishnu", the now defunct Greynald Inc. Factories were used as gang and insurgent hideouts. Illegal Arms Dealing and conflicts between security and terrorists, and in some occassions, among the terrorists themselves, were frequent in a daily basis. The poor and the neglected lived among various armed insurgents. While the dissolution of the armed factions are important, the health of the people are considered high priority and their evacuations is ALWAYS a primary objective that needs to be accomplished.

Gray Pulse Security Outpost

Located in the borders of Old Drakien 1 & 2, Gray Pulse Security Outpost is overrun by multiple insurgents and terrorist factions which resulted in a casualty of detachment-strength of security personnel.

Greynald Labs

Greynald Inc. Factory Laboratories were raided for medical vaccines but became a stronghold for the Factions of Interests, taking civilian researchers as hostages in the process.

District 12

One of Rameses II's desolate districts were subjected to bombings. It is advised to liberate this location using available resources we have.


Conclusion:

The Death Wolves Brigade were successfully commissioned to duty and were to serve their first combat mission in the borders of Old Drakien 1 & 2, and New Polarion City. Operation Burning Shards were considered a success following the dissolution of the Factions of Interests. However, the factions are not to be considered neutralized under any circumstances due to the fact that they are not completely disbanded. Expect further encounters with the Factions of Interests.

Project Impact and Bladefire Infantry were relieved from duty after the operation.
