- TSF but where just shirou catches the t-virus! after the fires a lot of records were lost. that, + kerry being an idiot = an unvaccinated shero. he contracts it and tries to pretend he isn’t sick until he collapses at school and has to be taken to the hospital. he’s given medication and quarantined to his house, where he has to endure everything on his own. shinji has been worried sick since he’d heard about shirou fainting — so he’s been obsessively texting him as much as he can. shirou won’t talk or video chat, but shinji assumes that it’s because he’s tired. it isn’t until shinji sees a flyer at school warning of a t-virus outbreak that he puts two and two together.
- not sure what else to do, shinji shows up at shirou’s house and knocks on the door. he smiles when he hears slipper footed feet shuffle to the door, but then the noise stops. shirou isn’t saying anything. shinji calls out, just loud enough that he’s sure shirou can hear.
- “i don’t care what you look like, alright? i just want to make sure you’re ok.”
- painfully sincere for a chiwa, but he really means every word of it. he’s missed shirou so much. so when the latch opens and shirou peeks out, shinji feels his heart swell. it takes all of his will power to not fling the door wide open, rather, he guides it open slowly. when he can really see shirou his face turns a nice shade of red. there’s a long pause before shirou gets too nervous about the silence.
- “you said you wouldn’t care!” he warns, obviously nervous.
- “i don’t care! I mean—” shinji fires back too quickly, obviously searching for the right words before giving up. “ngh... you’re really cute!!”
- shirou audibly gasps. that wasn’t exactly the response he was expecting. shrinking back a bit, he follows shinji’s sight lines as he looks over shirou. she’s. shorter. definitely softer, but it’s like she’s kept her strong shoulders and legs. it’s a really charming shape, actually. she looks really athletic, but also a very healthy amount of soft. and. her chest... is very impressive. shirou makes an embarrassed noise and tries to cover up, but to no avail. there really was no hiding her figure.
- “please don’t, i mean it. you’re so cute —“
- “i don’t think we see the same things, here!”
- “i see you, shirou! you’re really cute!”
- shinji’s hands are on her shoulders now, and he’s wearing an expression so sincere she wonders if he’s ever showed it to her before. smiling nervously, she visibly tries to let go of some of the tension in her shoulders.
- “i didn’t really think you would...”
- shinji thinks he ought to be offended at first, but then he wonders if shirou’s own insecurities would prompt her to assume shinji could be that shallow? i mean, obviously this is a lot to deal with. he’s gonna let it slide for how.
- besides, soft can be good. shirou looks healthy and that’s all he really wanted. the part where she is, in fact, adorable as well is just a bonus.
- “i said it didn’t matter. i just hated not being able to see you.” shinji mumbles, embarrassed. shirou takes one of his hands and brings it to her face. she exhales fondly, looking up at him.
- “sorry. i’ve just been worried... i just didn’t want you to stop liking me.”
- “idiot.” shinji breathes, smiling affectionately. “you think i could actually stop liking you? no way.”
- they stay in the genkan for a while, door open, muttering “i missed you”-s until the night chill rolls in. once inside and under the kotatsu, shirou pours shinji a cup of tea while he nervously peels at a mikan. he can’t really help but stare at shirou’s figure — he can’t recall ever having a crush on any girl like her before, but maybe that’s just because he doesn’t crush on girls all that often. when it’s shirou, though, he can see all sorts of things to appreciate. details he’s never considered in the past.
- shirou clears her throat.
- shinji snaps out of it, only to realize her breasts are resting on the table top. holy shit, they’re huge. he can’t help but wonder what they feel like, and as he scans over shirou’s frame once again, he—
- shirou clears her throat again.
- blinking and looking up at her, he grins nervously.
- “sorry, i just... “
- shirou looks like she’s stuck between laughing and dying from nervousness, so shinji smiles at her the best he can, looking sheepish.
- “i’m appreciating you. y’know.”
- ok, shirou laughs. thank god. “you’re taking this a lot better than i expected.”
- shinji scoffs. “you’re cute no matter what, i could have told you that a hundred times already if you’d have been truthful.”
- “they can’t cure me, you know—“ shirou starts, only to be interrupted. “as long as you’re ok it’s fine.” shinji blurts out in the most sincere way possible. catching himself, he pauses.
- “are you?”
- obviously shirou has had some time to deal with her thoughts and emotions on the matter, but that didn’t necessarily mean she was 100% ok with it. shirou looks like she’s considering something for a moment before responding.
- “it’s, uh. it’s different. but i think i’m gonna be fine.” shirou smiles and chuckles nervously, making shinji somehow feel proud. shirou really was amazing.
- “if you’re ok, then so am i.” he says very resolutely, trying his hardest to be supportive. of course when it’s the truth it’s always easier.
- they talk affectionately at one another, about how much they missed each other and things that were happening at school. the hours flew by unexpectedly fast. yawning, shirou stretches, arms upward and outward. as her arms stretch back behind her, there’s a light tapping sound against the table.
- oh. it’s a button.
- shinji’s eye line goes straight from the lone button to the the huge gap it’s created in shirou’s shirt. now he can really see just how big her chest is — breasts looking hardly contained by a cute, pink bra. shinji swears he can see her nipples peeking out from the top of the cups. shirou doesn’t even notice until her arms are back at her sides and she can plainly see shinji gaping in shock. making a squeaky, alarmed noise she tries to cover up and shinji tries to calm her down.
- “no, no...! it’s fine, it’s fine! it’s just me, we can fix it, don’t worry!” shinji babbles nervously, hoping it’s enough to keep shirou with him for now. she looks a little white in the face. she brings the kotatsu blanket up to cover her chest.
- “is it... difficult?” shinji asks once shirou has quieted down, not entirely sure what to expect as an answer. shirou nods, still furiously blushing.
- “a lot of it is really hard, but some things are more difficult than others. it was... really hard to be alone. i hated that part the most.” shirou mumbles to the ground, very plainly not liking the feeling of being in a compromising, vulnerable position in front of someone she likes. shinji nods, thinking and watching closely.
- “let me help, then. you won’t have to be alone anymore, i promise.”
- he says it like it’s the easiest thing in the world. and truthfully, shinji hated being alone, too. everything sucks without shirou around.
