  1. [09:12] Ion saw his sister from a bit aways, only to run over to her with a smile
  2. (Ion Nite)
  3. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  4. [09:12] Ion Nite exclaims, "Hey Sis!"
  5. [09:12] Aspen Yano asks, "Did Ocelot never tell you that I abandoned the family?"
  6. [09:13] Aspen stares at Ion with disinterest.
  7. (Aspen Yano)
  8. [09:17] Ion kept on with the smile he had not wavering much with the fact that she confirmed what he was told.
  9.
  10. "Even if you do abandon the family. Your still like a big sister to me. Family or not. I know we don't talk much, but I wanted to get closer to you. At least that much."
  11.
  12. Thinking on it for a moment, Ion made a surprising look on his face.
  13.
  14. "You grew out your hair. Heheheh not to mention you look like a girl who has taken on a whole city single handedly and won without a scratch, but I came to ask you something....Can you..."
  15.
  16. He paused for a moment. He thought about his words only to gulp in reaction with more words flooding his mouth once more.
  17.
  18. "Can you teach me about water magic?"
  19. (Ion Nite)
  20. [09:21] The teenager's unwavering mien of happiness procs Aspen's own faint smile. Despite her abandonment of the Corsair family, he was still adamant on growing close to her? What a strange occurrence.
  21.
  22. The compliment was reacted with the raising of a brow. This man's presence brought a strange feeling to her stomach. Nothing of malicious intentions than it had been curious of his character.
  23.
  24. "No," she replies with a squint.
  25.
  26. "Go tell Ocelot to stop being such a useless parent and train you."
  27. (Aspen Yano)
  28. [09:33] Ion looked toward Aspen with a bit of a soft cold sweat going on, though he smiled through it all and even looked toward his big sister.
  29.
  30. "That's the thing though. After you left, Dad wasn't acting really the same. He disappeared a while back and I came to town looking to see you or him. I was kind of off for about a year. Though I went home and the place was trashed. Dad said he was gone to...deal with coping I guess. He said he never got to talk with you and he was a failure of a parent. He even said that I was likely to feel the same. I don't want to ask dad because Dad..."
  31.
  32. Ion sighed, though he brought out another smile.
  33.
  34. "I don't think Dad is attuned to water. I never really see him fight or anything. Just knowing you have Blood magic means your already adept with Water. It also helps that dad isn't really the talkative type, but....he's trying. I don't want to pressure him or you to do anything you don't want. If you don't want to teach me then, I get it. You'd rather better yourself and not have to deal with your little...no..sorry. With someone you don't really know or wish to know."
  35.
  36. Ion kept up the smile he had even though he was speaking about something like that, though he took on another surprising look on his face as he spoke once more.
  37.
  38. "Oh, someone told me when I was here yesterday that someone you know by the name of Khada and Gran said hey, and that they found Fethi."
  39. (Ion Nite)
  40. [09:44] From what Aspen could obtain from Ion's mien, it was a mix of emotions. Likely wrong despite his disposition on the more depressing matters of Ocelot's failure to care for another one of his adoptees.
  41.
  42. Responded to with an annoyed sigh. The Yano's head shook with disappointment regarding Ocelot's neglect, something Aspen knew was bound to happen. Either way, a hand waved dismissively, and her tone at the latter situation turned heartless.
  43.
  44. "I don't care for Fethi or him being.. found? Khada I'll speak to later, but I don't know a Gran either. No matter to that.."
  45.
  46. Pursing lips and a flick of her gaze set out towards the nearby waters, Aspen's sight returns to the teenager. An expression of displeasure at his former claims to Ocelot's copping.
  47.
  48. "I can't say I'm surprised about that. I told Ocelot myself that you'd be better off elsewhere from his useless parenting abilities. Not everyone is cut out for a task like that. His will is too weak as is he in his prowess of earth and wind magics.
  49.
  50. ..but.. I suppose I can teach you a thing or two then, since Ocelot can't be bothered for it." The bridge of the Yano's nose is pinched briefly before she gestures him towards the waters.
  51.
  52. "Tell me what you already know about your magics then and what else you long to know. We'll start from there."
  53. (Aspen Yano)
  54. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  55.
  56. [09:50] Ion looked to the side of area as he looked concerned for a moment, though without much warning or talking, he followed behind Aspen as he was keen on learning more about Water magic.
  57.
  58. Once they got to the waters, Ion looked toward Aspen with a painted smile. He seemed nervous.
  59.
  60. "Im not really good at it yet, but I can shoot a stream of bubbles as of now, though any and all lessons you can give will be enough for me."
  61.
  62. Ion returned to his normal smile, though he looked out toward the water and began to pull up a bit of water from the air and formed a bubble before pushing it out toward the ocean, letting it pop with a hard pop noise.
  63. (Ion Nite)
  64. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  65.
  66. [09:59] "You seem to have a hang of the basics with this magic. Your smile makes your nature evident that this is the magic for you. Calm, cool, collective."
  67.
  68. Ah.. reminiscing on the years before when she'd been learning of the magics and their sentiments as well. It brought a true and inspiring smile on her face.
  69.
  70. "Granted, bubbles aren't the only thing you can do with it. You can create a plethora of ways to utilize this magic. Water vapor is a wonderous start, but that can prove to be a little difficult for some people. Mm.."
  71.
  72. The lake's water is gazed upon. A wave of the Yano's hand allows mana to flow and manipulate its contents, bringing a stream of water to glide through the air and swirl into a ball above her palm.
  73.
  74. "I don't know your grip on using water vapor, but practicing with a cup of water, or something physically in front of you, like a pond or an ocean, even bathing, can be useful. Come," she states calmly, removing her armored leggings to bend down towards the water and dip her hands in the liquid below to increase the size of the water sphere.
  75.
  76. "Feel it in your hands and try to manipulate it. Try to form a ball like I just did. Start small. Water is pliable by nature, so manipulating it with your mana should be easier that most magics I believe."
  77.
  78. She wasn't a very good teacher, but this was a start.
  79. (Aspen Yano)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [10:09] Ion watched as his sister seemed to praise him and say that water was quite perfect for him, though he wasn't sure how to take the next thing that happened.
  83.
  84. By sudden shock, Aspen was able to call upon the lake's contents and form a ball of water in her palm with little to no effort. It was a great thing that she was there to teach him. Though, Ion watched Aspen dip her hands into the water and slowly fed the water into the sphere to make it grow, but Ion looked down toward the water only to slowly remember something, though he gave the memory a quick shake of his head before kneeing down.
  85.
  86. "Like this?"
  87.
  88. Ion would have rolled up his sleeves and placed his arms in the water, cupping the very feeling of it around his arms.
  89. (Ion Nite)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [10:16] "Yes. Just like that. Think of your mana circuits like a system of veins in your body. They aren't physically there, but they are present within your soul. Use imagery to seek the mana you require and focus it into your palms, Ion. You can create bubbles now, yeah? Focus more mana there. Feeling it coursing through your circuitry."
  93.
  94. The woman huffed out a laugh in the act of teaching something similar she grew to know herself.
  95.
  96. "Focus and feel it run through you. Make it more compact. Dense. Thicker, in order to utilize more of it for an advanced technique."
  97.
  98. The water from her sphere is released to fall through her fingers and back into the lake.
  99.
  100. "Keep calm, and go ahead."
  101. (Aspen Yano)
  102. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  103.
  104. [10:24] Ion was taken by surprise from his sister's sudden laughter, though he gave off a soft blush before smiling as this was the first time he heard her laughing, though he focused on the water below him.
  105.
  106. With his knowledge of water so far, Ion looked down toward the water. He closed his eyes and began to try and release a bit of his mana, but he began to think softly on the concept of how much to put in, but without even realizing, he had slowly imagined making a wall of water, though small so he could get a feel of it, but the moment he did, he began to feel something. He didn't open his eyes yet, but he tried to keep the image in his head of a wall of water in his palms.
  107.
  108. Ion wanted a wall of water since it was something dense, thick, and compact like sand, but it was something that might not fall easily either.
  109.
  110. With Ion's eyes closed, he couldn't see what was happening, but Aspen could see a line of water forming furiously as it like a worm going crazy.
  111.
  112. "Hnnnnng…"
  113. (Ion Nite)
  114. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  115.
  116. [10:33] Leoda whispers something.
  117. [10:33] The strange occurrence in the formation of the man's magic wasn't of concern, but she was surprised. All of those years ago, she had plenty of trouble summoning even the smallest amount of mana. Again, more reminiscing on those times.
  118.
  119. It brought her back to the memory of Zeriel Heifang and their time in the fields together to perform magic, widening the present smile.
  120.
  121. Symbolism came to mind. That was what he'd taught her, allowing the Yano to get a first taste of her magic. That silhouette of her body she envisioned time and time again with standing before a mirror, looking deep within her soul. The track of blue circuity, like wiring with her mana coursing through it as if it were electricity.
  122.
  123. Another huffed out laughter.
  124.
  125. The memory was grand, making her disregard the fact that Zeriel was her enemy, someone she viewed once before as an older brother to herself.
  126.
  127. This scenario was far too symbolic and ironic.
  128.
  129. Aspen had herselfin silence for awhile, staring upon the man's hands within thought. Spaced out, until she snapped her mind back to reality several minutes later.
  130.
  131. "Ion. Try to imagine yourself, your body, before yourself. Get a look into your soul. Your mana. Your circuits are like a track of electrical wiring with your mana being the pulses that run through it of energy.
  132.
  133. Imagine that mana flowing freely in those wires and towards your hands. Focus more. Shape that mana. Use something symbolic in your memories, or with the ambitions you want, and make something better happen."
  134. (Aspen Yano)
  135. [10:40] Aspen glances back towards Ban, causing her to frown. His presence only did works on causing her to miss the other Heifang man.
  136. (Aspen Yano)
  137. [10:49] With Aspen's words, Ion tried to visualize his being into his mind, his feet, his legs, torso, stomach, chest, shoulders, head, and even his arms and hands. Although, when he began to visualize his hands something began to snap in his mind. The thought of looking at his hands brought began an unpleasant memory, one he thought he buried a long time ago. Though he began to remember it as he tried to stop. The flashes of blood pursued in his mind as he kept imagining blood on his hands in his past.
  138.
  139. Ion tied to calm down, but on the outside he began to breathe heavily and gave a cold sweat on his body as he tried to work over It. The water above his palms started to vibrate violently as it was reacting, but the vibration causes the water to rush around as if it was moving.
  140. (Ion Nite)
  141. [10:59] 'Zeriel.. you're my enemy, but here is your brother as our ally. It's a sad sight. It makes me miss being around you.' Thoughts trekked forward in distracting memories the longer she stared at the undead man, turning away with a sigh.
  142.
  143. Distraction after distraction. A slow, deep breath inward, Aspen returned her attention towards Ion's progress.
  144.
  145. Rippling, violent water writhed in his possession. No words were spoke yet as Aspen stared, listening to his heavy breathing out of the corner of her sight.
  146.
  147. 'How peculiar,' she thought, flicking her eyes at the panicked man. Aspen's hand rose, forming an immense amount of mana to her palm, migrating it within the lake's water to wave over them and soak the duo.
  148.
  149. "Please calm down. Keep your mind at ease, or you'll trouble your performances."
  150.
  151. Out of the corner of her eye, Ban was given another glance of a blank expression, then back to Ion.
  152.
  153. "Maybe we should stop for now, yes? You seem distraught. You should take a break. Meditate on what troubles you, and find relaxation with them. It'll do you some justice so your panicking doesn't occur again with your studies."
  154. (Aspen Yano)
  155. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  156.
  157. [11:09] Ion kept having flashes of blood in his mind as he was having a troubling memory of his past. With his mind racing with a bad memory, Aspen's hand seemed to slip into the water and washed away Ion's mind for a moment as she spoke.
  158.
  159. Ion opened his eyes to see his sister having a small concern in her voice, though Ion kept panting and sweating as the time continued, though he nodded before taking his hands out of the water.
  160.
  161. "S...sure I don't mind stopping...we can pick this up another time. At least I get to know more about magic and get to spend some time with you, sis."
  162. (Ion Nite)
  163. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  164.
  165. [11:14] Panic wasn't anything new to the Yano, therefore her concern of Ion washed away as quickly as it appeared.
  166.
  167. The woman gave a mere nod of her head and rose from the ground, replacing back on her armored leggings.
  168.
  169. "You're welcome, Ion. Maybe some day you'll grow strong and grow apathetic to your past.. or whatever bothers you. I have.. faith," spoken with hesitancy, the Yano walks around him, inspecting the man's disposition further.
  170.
  171. "Go for a swim, meditate, or what have you. Something to take your mind off of things. I'll be around Dawn or in the vampire camp."
  172.
  173. Her final words spoken out in quietness, there wasn't anymore room in her thought for Ion as she was more concerned to speak with Ban. The young woman approaches the undead with a frown to stand at his side.
  174.
  175. "Ban, I never did get to talk with you yet, yeah? How have you been doing?"
  176. (Aspen Yano)
