  1. In the unfolding chaos would the Seer take to the skies on wings of ephemeral void, with naught but blood on the mind. Backbiter held in hand, she gazes downward- until there's a moment of realization.
  2.
  3. The former Khan of Abendrot. Sak'noth
  4.
  5. The rest of the fighting was coalescing onto another point- a great hound which had formed from the sheer power of Varrach's influence, as the Imperfect himself cut through Jack- and to this, Rhea shoots of a glance of.. almost disappointment.
  6.
  7. "YOU!" The night sky's apostle would shoot downward, the gleaming edge of her poleax streaking through the sky towards the Kaor.
  8. (Rhea Guldskratt)
  9.
  10. [17:26] There was the former Khan, watching and standing by his kin, which was almost.. like a brother. He remained because that his presence was important, but also.. He was there waiting for the departure, as he is the one who would take them out of there..
  11.
  12. However, in the midst of this waiting and observing the clashes that occurred.
  13.
  14. Someone would approach.
  15.
  16. For the demon lord's attention was turned towards a.. Razuka, who called out to him - who was already starting to charge, with a weapon aimed towards the Kaor! The being, in turn, tapped its beak.
  17.
  18. The sound echoing across the battlefield that had formed.
  19.
  20. His wings were extended and these flapped a few times, the wind these produced shattering the reality around them, portals that gave way to many places - which the creature now flew over and from - to prowl around the woman's surroundings.
  21.
  22. Before advancing towards her, for combat as expected.
  23.
  24. "Foolish mortal child, what are you aiming to achieve with such irresponsibility? Attacking someone, who clearly - you shouldn't.
  25.
  26. What a terrible decision." The being asked and said, while ether was manifested - the ground cracked and everything seemed to shake.
  27. (Sak'noth)
  28.
  29. [17:37] Carried on wings of darkness much akin to her opponent, an aerial battle would commence over the melee of demon against human beneath. Smaller creatures hurling fireballs at the Seer would go unheeded as she burst forth with preternatural speed at the former Khan.
  30.
  31. The ethereal power of Sak'noth rose in kind to challenge her, and assailing bursts of occultic power would come alongside words questioning her.
  32.
  33. "I've laid waste to foes as big as yourself, crow." Her retort sounds off in kind, as quivering runes of time would begin to form in a sphere around her; astrological glyphs charged with otherworldly, hideous power- discerned in a moment by the woman. Offering brief glimpses into the future- which, in a second, she takes advantage of.
  34.
  35. Adrenaline flows, almost exudes from her like an aura as her polearm flashes forward to greet a whirling tide of tainted sand. Its edge fated to be unstoppable, the coalescence isblasted apart- and her charge continues.
  36.
  37. A scream of lost sanity greets the demon as she gets within striking distance-
  38.
  39. "PROVE TO ME YOU'RE GREATER!"
  40.
  41. With a twirl she rolls midair, ducking beneath his blow- and a near miss with the dreamline blade sends her flying past, having overshot.
  42.
  43. Yet she whirls around in an instant- ready to begin all over again.
  44. (Rhea Guldskratt)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [17:48] This combat.. would become a real threat for everyone, as the sandy ground would rise in a storm that limited vision and movement, while the Great Avian soared overhead and subdued everything in its range through the ether.
  48.
  49. And nothing was left behind, in his wake.
  50.
  51. However, in contradiction to what he expected - he was also faced with a being who could fly and fought against him in equal manner! Since.. the blows coming from her brought immense pain even to the demonic vizier, as these pierced the being's flesh - while even the ichor of its body was manipulated.
  52.
  53. It was quite the sight..
  54.
  55. It was a real battle, one that perhaps Sak'noth did not expect to have at that day, at that moment.
  56.
  57. "What?..
  58.
  59. Don't you ever compare me to the mundane creatures of this unbearable plane, I.. Am not..
  60.
  61. A CROW, you pathetic simpleton.
  62.
  63. I'm far superior to these creatures, far different and unique.. Do NOT forget that!" The creature roared in return, its posture growing more bestial, because..
  64.
  65. Even the strongests of demons had trouble dealing with the bloodlust, which at the moment was at its peak because of the conflict, the chaos that was taking place due to Varrach's actions that day..
  66.
  67. Yes, this was happening.
  68.
  69. "Come forward, little mortal... I will teach you true fear, something you mortals forgot that long ago - but times are changing and you shall learn why your people should fear the night.
  70.
  71. And that which dwells in it." So he advanced once more, meeting..
  72.
  73. The one who challenges the Great Kaor, as he always moved forward - without fear, without stopping.. Sak'noth, would never stop - not until he was dead..
  74. (Sak'noth)
  75. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.
  77. [18:00] With a bestial roar, the demon advanced.. Reality itself seemed to be distorted, movements that before reached his vessel - seemed to be redirected by the cracks that opened in reality, in a tenebrous advance of the colossal demon.
  78.
  79. Truly, a force of nature.
  80.
  81. The vision they had of the abomination was that of a monster.. A distorted entity, because even though it was a colossal bird - its form was mutated. Eyes poked out from among the feathers, tentacles extending through its flesh..
  82.
  83. Something, disfigured.
  84.
  85. An abomination.
  86.
  87. However, the wounds were becoming noticeable - internal ruptures due to hemomancy were leaving him weakened, Rhea's blade strikes managed to shake and destabilize his flight - but, he moved forward.
  88.
  89. Sak'noth never stopped before and it wouldn't now.
  90.
  91. "You.. made a mistake.. The moment you attacked me, was the moment that you made a terrible decisin..
  92.
  93. You could have remained quiet, you could have.. bowed.. Your head and watch.." The voice echoed, not as something verbal - but mental, echoing in the minds of all those present.
  94.
  95. Several times.
  96.
  97. An uncomfortable cacophony.
  98.
  99. "But you refused to see the truth.. To stand down..
  100.
  101. And now, for that.. Comes retribution.
  102.
  103. You mortals have failed, you have faltered many times - here is the proof, this day the world shudders, this day...
  104.
  105. Everything changes.. With our advancing, the marching.. Of the new age.. Cower.. In fear, for that is everything that you have left." The voice was twisted, inhuman and clearly something that was not pleasant at all - however, silence at last came.
  106.
  107. Even if only for a brief instant.
  108.
  109. Since what followed was another roar as the Great Avian soared overhead once more, charging towards the Razuka - with his countless eyes burning from the ominous ether, focused.. In his prey.
  110. (Sak'noth)
  111. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  112.
  113. [18:09] The brutality of the transformation overwhelmed the Seer. And yet she was unfaltering in her charge; for all around her were runes, numericals- VII.
  114.
  115. The Chariot.
  116.
  117. It was a representation of the both of the winged fighters. In Sak'noth was a mirror of Rhea's own drive, ceaseless movement and will. In him it was manifested in the form of the ethereal which began to grip and pummel Rhea as she grew close; in her, it was the wings that carried her, and the blade she wielded.
  118.
  119. His retribution, his showing of force. It takes her by storm, batters her- for a moment, those wings upon her back falter, wink out, and she falls.
  120.
  121. Was this it? Had she done it? Had she found the one to take her down at her peak-
  122.
  123. "No."
  124.
  125. Her ego demanded against giving in. Her wings spread wide, and she soars to match the Great Kaor once more. Hergrin only widening in the face of pushback, her excitement.. at a peak.
  126.
  127. For a moment, those wings flare outward, starlight speckles like eyes watching the world around. Above, the gaze of something else is drawn.
  128.
  129. "I am night itself. You fly in MY DOMAIN!" Egotistical words of deluded greatness escape her, before Backbiter raises once more and she charges yet again, yet again, and again once more- ad infinitum.
  130.
  131. The race was on, to decide the victor of the final clash.
  132. (Rhea Guldskratt)
  133. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  134.
  135. [18:11] {Lost Dangerous RPB against Rhea Guldskratt}
  136. [18:11] * You have been awarded 1 Levels! *
  137. [18:11] ** Rhea Guldskratt has inflicted an injury upon Sak'noth. ("Temporary Injury", "Temporary Injury", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (2 days)") **
  138. [18:14] Sankya Etchel says, "..."
  139. [18:34] Watchers from below and above alike would turn their gazes upon the clash in the skies. Even in the daylight the stars would be visible- winking ominously with their watching eyes.
  140.
  141. Every rune that surrounded the seer was that of the Chariot's essence as she flew forth, fated blade almost carving through the fabric of the world itself as it meets the shroud which surrounds the Great Avian, cleaving into his ether with utter, sheer force of will.
  142.
  143. Perhaps then it would be evident to him, that the weapon she wielded was not of physicality, but the stuff of dreams.
  144.
  145. Dreams! With which she could twist reality to her liking; Dreams, in which she could carve the perfect world for herself, and those she loved.
  146.
  147. It was not a benign power.
  148.
  149. The ethereal she cleaves into grips, howls and tears at her skin- more blood falls in a shower, though quickly picked up and weaponized against the Kaor. His hideous form grows closer, as though aiming to swallow therazuka whole, and Backbiter meets his advance in kind-
  150.
  151. In a cruel twist of fate, however.. it is rebuked. Beaten away, the fated blade twists to carve into her own flesh instead- and she screams. With rage, agony and determination.
  152.
  153. There's a blurring, then, as her wings beat once more. She appears in a flash behind Sak'noth, she rakes her weapon across his malformed back.
  154.
  155. What comes then is glee. "Yes," a murmur to him- "YES!"
  156.
  157. "STRONG, JUST AS STRONG AS I'D HOPED!" There was no disappointment as she'd had with opponents who'd fallen in the past, no- only eagerness for more, for yet further bloodshed.
  158.
  159. But it was time to halt the charge. She peels away from her defeated opponent- turning her attention to the watchers below, as the stars gaze from above.
  160. (Rhea Guldskratt)
  161. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  162.
  163. [18:55] What could define this moment but carnage? Pain, hatred, sorrow - many feelings that mixed with destruction around them, to fuel negativity.. That served as impellent for the demon, making everything, anything descend in a spiral..
  164.
  165. Of madness.
  166.
  167. From bestial roars, to the brandishing of an etheric blade created by a power, rather twisted - such as the one that wielded it! It was gruesome as well as beautiful to behold this combat - for those who weren't caught up in the turmoil of destruction coming from the fight between the two.
  168.
  169. One, that moved across the land of Aetius, of that mountain that once was the lair of demons.
  170.
  171. All while beyond the stars, something watched.. An energy, which was now present even in the Great Avian's wings, who had suffered a wound that went from wing to wing, causing even it to fall from the skies..
  172.
  173. Yet that only came to be true, when she came up behind him and landed at last a powerful strike.
  174.
  175. One that sent the former Khan to the ground at last.
  176.
  177. Of course none of this was going to come cheap, at this point she would have the upper hand, but one difficult to maintain. For the ether withered her body, the sands ravaged her legs and the manipulation of reality, made even her own abilities be used against her!
  178.
  179. Quite the thing..
  180.
  181. With each passing instant, the demon's hearts raced - with each passing instant, the bloodlust increased more and more! A beast roared, a beast slashed - nothing stopped at that instant, forward both continued, on and on, craving for more and more..
  182.
  183. At long last, some sensation.
  184.
  185. A feeling to be had.
  186.
  187. Which made Sak'noth move forward once more, because it was what he always did.. It was what he would always do. For, defeated he might be, but never dead would he be - not until his goals were achieved, not until at last what belonged to him, the things he longed to hold..
  188.
  189. Was within his grasp.
  190.
  191. At his side.
  192.
  193. Given this, the demon couldn't let anything stand in his way, not until everything desired by him, was achieved - that's why he fought, that's why.. Now he made it clear of what he was for the world that had stopped to look at the demons in those days.
  194.
  195. He is a abomination and one.. That came here..
  196.
  197. To take everything that he craved for.
  198.
  199. However, in the end he faltered.. His body being forced to retreat given the continuous assaults of the Razuka! For this, he would step through the cracks in reality in the moment of Rhea's distraction and then, join Varrach, the demon lord who there waited.
  200.
  201. "This.. Is.. Far.. From.. Over!"
  202.
  203. Defeated he was once more, yet still not fallen in combat.
  204.
  205. One.. More time.. And still, ready to continue with his marching.. In the future to come, for now? He retreated, to recover and then - begin again.
  206. (Sak'noth)
