- In any case, Emma hitched her backpack more tightly on her and began running. Magical strength made this dramatically easier. Emma could feel herself start to grin as she accelerated, pushing her magic ahead of her to create a field without water and keep her vision clear. Getting out and about, finally, was immensely gratifying.
- "Hey, friendly incoming," Emma broadcast over the LAN. "Don't shoot!"
- "Roger that," said one of the magical girls dryly. "Wall running?"
- "Yeah."
- "Psh. Kids."
- Emma rolled her eyes as she shot up the wall, bouncing from window sill to window sill slightly giddily. A bit of aeromaneuver even let her start doing barrel rolls and somersaults. She flew past a sniper post.
- "Oh Goddess, really?" groaned the magical girl covering it. "C'mon kid, calm your shit."
- "Screw you!" Emma called back, before throwing herself into a skid to chop speed. The lip of the roof came a moment later, and Emma planted a hand, then popped over top with a somersault and a picture perfect landing.
