Silent Falls: Sometimes we remember this exists

> There's a monster that can 'consume' memories, and it has made Mabel its next target
> To counteract this, Mabel has stashed all of her memories away in VHS tapes, audio cassettes, floppy disks and fax machines
> VHS tapes contain background information on the people and events in Gravity Falls, recorded documentary-style
> Cassettes function as an audio diary, sharing Mabel's thoughts on the people and events surrounding her
> Fax machines are used to deliver information on monsters; the call must be recorded onto cassettes and then played on a ZX Spectrum
> Floppy disks are the most important; they contain all the details of Mabel's memory and personality
> The town is covered in a thick fog, and the buildings are all drab and grey
> The monster does not actually consume memories, but rather can force someone to repress them heavily through its gaze

> The monster takes on the form of the target, and attacks them over the course of four days
> Day 1: Only appears in the corner of your eye, accompanied by laughter
> Day 2: Starts showing up at random intervals, mocking the target
> Day 3: Calculated appearances, mockery is increased and very perceptive of the target's insecurities and fears
> Day 4: Corporeal form, is capable of physical attacks
> Seeing the monster attack Dipper tipped Mabel off, allowing her to prepare the materials in advance
> She lures the beast into the basement, where she stored machines which can read the data, giving herself a headstart

> Polaroids of the main cast are also scattered around Gravity Falls, and are used to provide hints for Mabel
> Often provides indirect clues to significant locations like the convenience store or Gideon's house

> If there is a piece of information in the area, Mabel will wear a related symbol:
>> Mouse cursor for a floppy
>> Musical notes for a cassette
>> TV for a VHS tape
>> Telephone for a fax machine

> If there is some kind of danger in the area, the symbol varies on danger level:
>> Thunderbolt (lowest)
>> Shooting Star
>> Clouds
>> B-Ball Dog
>> Kitten (highest)
