<flashdrive> Claudia walks in. She wanders around, but at first it seems there are no other girls in sight.
<flashdrive> She finally catches sight of another girl. "Nessie!" she screams, waving her hands as she runs towards her

<DrEvilKitteh> "I hope Karp comes back soon," Sam muttered, walking next to Nessie. "She's the one that promised to take you here, after all. Not that I really mind watching you while she ran off to do whatever, but...eh." He shrugged, then blinked and stopped, looking to his right at one of the booths. "...Huh." While he was there, Nessie went forward and past a corner, leading to someone out of sigh shouting something at her.

<flashdrive> "Hey, what's your name?" Claudia asked, struggling to catch her breath from all the running.

<trapdoors> Nessie was not prepared to be approached so suddenly and backed up a few steps as she saw someone running directly towards her. She seemed harmless but her figure stayed tense. "A-Ah...B-Bonne soirée? I am Nessie, who might you be?"
* Kajiya meanwhile was wandering upon Mel as her 'mount' once more, curiously people were giving less odd glances as she scuttled along. While she didn't notice Sam or the others, she probably was easy enough to spot, as she was currently getting some cotton candy with an oblivious little smile at the moment.
<flashdrive> "My name's Claudia. Are you a magical girl?" she replies, noting with surprise the presence of several other girls nearby.

<DrEvilKitteh> Sam turned at that and walked over to Nessie and the newly-introduced Claudia. "You okay, Ness?"
<trapdoors> Nessie blinked confusingly at the question and looked at the newcomer's eyes. She looked down at her own suit and twirled a little, her cape following her movement swiftly. "I-Is it that noticeable? I mean, it is quite easier to ask, who isn't around here, but yes, I am!" She turned over to Sam and nodded with a gentle smil.e
<flashdrive> Claudia blushed slightly. "Sorry, I haven't been in this job for very long." Claudia replied awkwardly. "What's your name?" she asked, turning to Sam.
<flashdrive> hoping to change the subject.*
<DrEvilKitteh> "I'm Sam," He replied simply. "I'm sort of watching over Ness while she's here, since her 'mentor' can't, at the moment."
<flashdrive> "Mentor? I could sure use one of those!" Claudia exclaimed, forgetting her shame. "I just got the 'upgrade' to being magical a couple of days ago, and I don't really get what we're supposed to do."
<trapdoors> "You're as good as company as Madame too, Monsieur Sam!" She reassured him. Soon after she turned to Claudia, her eyes glistening a little brighter, taking her hand. "I'm a recent magical girl too!"

<DrEvilKitteh> "...Well, I don't know about Karp, but she might be interested." Sam shrugged. "You'd have to ask her yourself, though." He scanned the crowd, then went on his tip-toes. "Oh hey, there's Kaji and Mel! I-" He looked down at Nessie and Claudia.

<DrEvilKitteh> Well, shit. If he wanted to talk to the fleshwarper, he'd have to make sure she didn't do anything...disturbing, in front of the newbies.
<flashdrive> "Who?"
* Kajiya ends up riding along as Mel notices Sam as he calls out, a tentacle waves as the flesh-chair and her little blonde rider approach the group. "Oh hi, Sam!" she called over with a smile, nibbling on a giant fluffy cotton candy with a content smile.
<flashdrive> Claudia begins to quiver, deeply disturbed by the flesh-chair. She grips Nessie's hand more tightly and starts to shy away.
<DrEvilKitteh> Sam quickly put his hands over Nessie and Claudia's eyes and spun them around using his gravity magic. "Er, hey Kajiya, Melenda. Sorry, but...uh...quick question: You remember Nadia? Well, at the very least this one," he nodded to Nessie, "will react worse than her with regards to your magic. Sorry."
<Kajiya> "Eh? Umm... ah, oh. Oh, I get it, right." she said quietly, frowning. "Ermmm.... should I just.. go then?"  she asked, looking a bid dismayed as she nibbled on her cotton candy.
<DrEvilKitteh> "No--well..." Sam looked down at Melenda. "...I wouldn't want to make you go, but I also know that both of you can get uncomfortable with Mel in human shape..."
<flashdrive> Feeling ashamed, Claudia remembers where she is and suppresses her fears for long enough to eek out an apology. "I'm sorry, I just got a bit scared by the flesh-chair and that staff."

<Melenda> "Less uncomfortable, more I just rather like this... but eh, we can change that. Kaji?" the chair asked with one of it's few tentacles with a mouth on it's end.
* Kajiya nodded a bit, hopping off... she didn't have her staff out at the moment, as she put her hand to the back of the chair, and held out a silk dress... instead of the chair shifting, warping and otherwise, this time it simply... opened up and tilted, as the 'human' Mel, a brunette girl seeming a bit older than Kaji, stepped into the dress and out of, well, herself, as Kajiya put away the remaining flesh husk that was Mel. "Tada!"
<Melenda> "...I still don't know how you people deal with only two legs..." Mel said with a rather bored expression on her face.
* Kajiya pulls bakc out their comically large puff of cotton candy and nibbles on it happily.
<trapdoors> Nessie looks up at Mel and Kaji, looking at the more disturbing of the two intently, observing the entirety of the shapeshifting without saying a word or having any of her facial features cotort.
<DrEvilKitteh> Sam lowered his hands and patted Nessie on the head, and Claudia on the shoulder. "There we go. You, uh, you still okay, Ness?"

<trapdoors> Nessie jumped at the sudden appearance of the Jester looking person, and went to reach out to help her up until she saw the thumbs up. She smiled as soon as she gave oral confirmation of having remembered her. Not many people do."O-Of course I would not forget! I love le Cirque!"
<Melenda> "Beats me, Kaji's just been enticed by the smell and looks of some of the things here." Mel said, taking a bit of the cotton candy to try, popping it into her mouth as she... gave an unsatisfied frown towards it. "Just sugar, blah." she muttered, looking to the clown-woman. "So, who's this person?"
<trapdoors> "A-And yes, I'm okay. I find it better to look intently to thing that are difficult to look at so they don't become difficult to see later!" Nessie reassured Sam with a gentle smile.
* Jesterbelle Springs up in a slightly impressive acrobatic motion and lands on her feet, Arms spread wide with a 'Tadaah!' followd by "I am Jesterbelle, One of the many entertainers employed by Cirque Du'Magique" She takes a bow "I hope you're satisfied with your visit thus far?"

<Kajiya> "Well, I like the cotton candy... it's all fluffy and sweet." she said happily, biting off another bit from it.
<trapdoors> "I believe I got here just a few minutes ago, but everything looks so fun!" She announced excitedly, completely oblivious to any atmosphere that may have been unsettling.
<DrEvilKitteh> "It does look fairly interesting, so far," Sam said. "Not that I've seen very much of it, yet."
* Jesterbelle Grins and does a pose "Yay, Glad to hear it! If you need me just call. Try not to get lost!" And shes gone, Disappearing into the crowds
<Melenda> "...Well that was extremely pointless." Mel said deadpanned with a shrug, smirking as she looked back over to Sam. "So, where's the other girl? You and they had some fun last I saw, figured you two would be together more." she taunted at Sam, a bit of a sly smirk replaceing her bored look.
<Kajiya> "Mmm? Whanow?" Kaji asked, looking around... she didn't know who Mel was refering to, so she simply shrugged, lowering her cotton candy a bit to look to the two. "Ah, um, and before I forget I should introduce myself too... I'm Kajiya, and this is my friend Mel. Please uh, forgive her if she's a little rude or something at times." Kaji said pre-emptively.
<DrEvilKitteh> "Dunno," Sam replied, not looking the least bit embarrassed or perturbed by Melenda's words. "Nessie's 'her rookie', but she put me in charge of keeping an eye on her while she went off to do something. She'll probably be back soon, if everything goes well."
<trapdoors> Nessie did not skip a beat, and extended her hand towards the more disturbing looking presence. "I am Nessie! It is a pleasure to meet you, Mel!" She stood firmly in front of her, with a gentle smile and eyes directed at the closest thing she has to vision socket.
<flashdrive> "And I'm Claudia!" Claudia exclaimed, offering her right hand while hiding her amulet under her clothes with her left (the amulet has Purification Artifact :/).

<Kajiya> "Mmmhmm! Well, hello hello Claudia and Nessie!" she said happily, smiling to them both. "So, uh, this is the first carnival thing I've  been to since becoming a magical girl... and since I don't remember too much after I, well, died, I dunno what to do, so uh, what should we go do first?" she asked curiously.
<flashdrive> "Let's start with the Aerial Ferris Wheel."
<Melenda> "Heh, right right... As she said, I'm Mel, and nice to meet you two or whatever." Mel said, shaking Nessie's hand with a simple shrug. She didn't look too entertained, though, not annoyed at this. It was common human courtesy or whatever... even if Mel didn't give a damn about it, the kids there haven't done anything wrong or bad to Kaji or her, she wouldn't bare her fangs at them... well, proverbially, Kaji took them away for now.

<trapdoors> Nessie then turned to Kaji, and was about to indicate some place, but stopped herself, her face paling a little. "Wait, what?? You died? But..you're standing right here, talking??" She asked reluctantly, continuing soon after. "Ah, are you a vampire?...I don't see through your disguise though, nor do you like those other two.."

<Kajiya> "Uh... well I was dead for two years. Then um, Mel kinda zombified me... And after the magical girl they were erm, fighting got... killed, the Puchuu turned me into a magical girl, which brought me back to life." She said, explaining as if nothing was wrong at all with this picture.
<DrEvilKitteh> "Sometimes, death is just an inconvenience for magical beings," Sam said. "Kajiya and Melenda are certainly no exception to that."
<Melenda> "Yep... then she turned me into, well, this. Gave me a brain so I was no longer a mindless monster, so to repay Kaji I keep her safe... it's very amusing on what people can or will have or do too, so it's even better to do this." She said with a sly smirk.
<flashdrive> Claudia started to feel hungry, and decided to go looking for the cotton candy stand on her own. She didn't realise how long this would take.
<trapdoors> Nessie paled entirely upon hearing this, but tried her best to play it cool. This world was...very, very strange. Not even death stops magical girls, it seems. She nodded and turned to Sam, her facial expression completely frozen in her gentle smile in order to avoid any type of discomfort or embarrassment.
<DrEvilKitteh> Sensing--and seeing--that Nessie was...uncomfortable, to say the least, he put his hand on her head and gently rubbed it until she regained the color in her cheeks, which would hopefully be soon.
<Kajiya> "...Uh, well, though, to be fair I wasn't magical or a girl I think before Mel put me into this body back then though." Kaji corrected a bit, as if that was the issue as she raised her free hand.
<Kajiya> "...I could be wrong, being dead for a while is... cold and odd." she muttered.
* Melenda smirks, holding back a laugh as she saw Nessie's expression.
<trapdoors> And as discomfort crept into her very being with this entire conversation, all colour and relaxation came back as soon as she felt Samuel's fingers entrail in her ivory locks gently. The now gentle smile looked a lot warmer, and her cheeks as well, sporting the pink tinge that is usual.
* Kajiya smiled a bit, nodding. "Right, so um, where's this Aerial Wheel of Ferrys to go see?" she asked curiously, trying to change the subject a bit.
<DrEvilKitteh> Sam looked around, hand still absentmindedly lying atop Nessie's head and massaging it slightly. "...That looks promising." He pointed over at a large rotating circle with lights glowing over it. "Definitely looks like a Ferris Wheel."

<trapdoors> "Yes...the Ferris Wheel does sound very nice. I wonder if we can see the end of the city from it!" She said, her voice in a slightly lower pitch due to the relaxing and reassuring nature of the headpat.
<Melenda> "That depends, can you see to the end of infinity?" Mel said sarcastically towards Nessie, shrugging.
<DrEvilKitteh> "It's...a big city. I don't think it's quite that tall."
<Kajiya> "Hehe... Well, right, shall we get going?" Kaji suggested with a smile.
<DrEvilKitteh> "Yeah." Sam nodded and removed his hand from Nessie's head. "Stay close, alright?" He told the girl. "I'd rather not lose you in the crowd, especially when Karp's not around to look out for you as well."
* Kajiya kept with Sam and the others, holding Mel's hand as she tugged them along and nibbling on her cotton candy.
* Melenda looked bored. Plain and simply.
<trapdoors> Nessie nodded towards Sam and pouted a little. "I am not an enfant, Monsieur Sam! I can easily see you, or Madame Mel or Kaji from anywhere, and even if I didn't, I would know how to get back to you, yes??" She said a bit hurriedly as she walked close to Sam, and a bit frustrated too.
<Melenda> "Anywhere you say? How about if I teleport off without you?" Mel asked tauntingly to Nessie.
<DrEvilKitteh> "This place can be confusing," Sam said patiently, without a trace of condescension in his voice. "And you wouldn't necessarily be able to find us so easily if you get lost, nor I you." He put a hand on her head again. "I know you're not a child, but you're also my ward right now, and new to this whole experience to boot. I don't want anything bad to happen to you on my watch."
<trapdoors> Nessie turned to Mel and huffed. "Then I can smell you from far away! Even better with my powers!" She was about to pout harder until she felt Sam's hand on her head again, granting an almost instant relaxation, and furthermore she felt better knowing he didn't think less of her. "T-Thank you Monsieur Sam. Pardon."
<Kajiya> "Eh? What bad stuff would happen here... isn't this place for fun?" she asked curiously and somewhat innocently towards the situation.
<DrEvilKitteh> "It's the Overcity, Kaji," Sam said, giving Nessie one last head rub. "There are dark and often dangerous corners wherever you go in it."
<Melenda> "Yep yep! Especialy somewhere big, crowded, and easy to have people not notice you go missing." Mel said with a slight smirk.
<trapdoors> Nessie's eyes slowly drooped, but not enough so she wasn't walking with her eyes closerd. She afterwards turned to Kaji and flexed her arms. "It is why Madame Karpinsky is going to teach me to be stronger!" She said, with a confident huff. She broke her little façade into a gentle giggle soon afterwards.
<DrEvilKitteh> "She sure is," Sam said with a warm voice, a gentle smile crossing his features. "And you'll be pretty darn strong, if you take after her at all."
<DrEvilKitteh> Finally, they reached the foot of the Ferris Wheel. More like the railing going around it to direct customers wanting to board it, but still. "Let's hop on line, shall we?"

* Kajiya smiled a bit, nodding. "Hehe, well right! I'm only kinda strong at some stuff... I gotta rely on Mel for a lot anyway." she added, shrugging with a calm smile. "But she keeps me safe so things are alright." she nodded, as they went towards the line, looking around. "Um, so once we get on, what do we do then? Or after, or whatevers?"
<DrEvilKitteh> "We get in a...carriage, I think it's called?...ride it all the way to the top, then all the way to the bottom." Sam paused for a moment. "That's assuming it operates like a normal Ferris Wheel, which it probably doesn't."
<Melenda> "Well, normal is boring, so lets hope it does something zany and totally different." Mel said plainly.
<DrEvilKitteh> "As long as it's not too terribly pants-shittingly terrifying," Sam muttered.
<trapdoors> Nessie bounced up and down on spot excitedly, sporting a childish grin that exuded anticipation and enjoyment."I don't remember the last time I went on a Ferris Wheel, it's like a first time again!"
<Kajiya> "Hehe... Well, we're in the same sort of situation then, Nessie." Kaji said with an idle smile, nibbling on more of her cotton candy, despite it having been twice the size her head half of it is already gone.
<DrEvilKitteh> Several minutes passed, and they finally reached the Ferris Wheel proper. Sam let the other three board the carriage before he stepped on. There was enough room inside to comfortable seat six people at least, roughly three on each side. "Alright," Sam said as he sat down, "let's see what this thing has in store for us."
<Melenda> "...This thing seems so tiny and all you do is go up and down by the looks of it, this doesn't seem too amusing." Mel said flatly.
<DrEvilKitteh> "It's more of a relaxed ride, yeah. You could look out at everything when near the top, and it's often used by couples as a romantic environment of sorts."
<trapdoors> Nessie remained ecstatic, bouncing ever so slightly in her own seat, looking almost immediately out the window. "When are we going up, Monsieur Sam? Does it take long?"
<DrEvilKitteh> "It usually takes a few minutes to complete the revolution." The carriage slowly moved, going up at a very low speed.
<Kajiya> "Mmm, well it seems like it'll be fun either way, even if it's calm and relaxing." Kaji said happily, no more cotton candy... she ate it all.
<Melenda> "...Well so long as Kaji's content with it." Mel shrugged.
<DrEvilKitteh> When they got about a quarter of the way up the Ferris Wheel, they suddenly started gaining speed. "...Ness, hold tight to something. You know, just in case." As it turned out, that was very good advice, because the carriage kept accelerating until it reached the wheel's zenith.
<DrEvilKitteh> And then, it was launched off like a freaking cannonball, hurtling through the air and bouncing off of buildings and the landscape like a pinball.
<trapdoors> As soon as it started moving, Nessie got giddy on her seat, and followed Sam's advice. The faster it went, the more excited Nessie became, and the only thing she did throughout the entire ride was sport the biggest fucking grin she could muster, no longer able to contain her excitement as ALL ELSE WAS MOVING instead of her.
* Kajiya gave a meek "YEEP!" as it started off rapidly, grasping onto Mel as they spun faster and faster, a bit of a worried whine from her. "THIS IS NOT SLOW OR CALM AT ALL. EVEN IF SOMEWHAT INTERESTING."
* Melenda was meanwhile holding onto a bar that was probably in the carriage for a reason, laughing as it started. "Well enjoy it since it's interesting Kaji!" She announced, holding onto Kajiya so as not to let her go flying or something similar.
<DrEvilKitteh> "Well, this isn't a typical Ferris Wheel, apparently," Sam said to Kajiya, pressed back into his seat and looked mostly unruffled.. "And...it's...very...spinny..." Indeed, they were basically hopping across the horizon like a stone skipping across a lake.
<Kajiya> "IT'S FUN-" BUMP "-BUT I MEAN KINDA SUDDEN-" THUMP "-AND I ONLY KINDA LIKE IT NOT REALLY!" she announced in a slight paniced look, frowning as she clenched her eyes somewhat.
<trapdoors> At this point, Nessie laughed and giggled uncontrollably, as her hair was now a ivory cascade of multiple strands hitting across anyone in her general vicinity. She kept looking out the window in hopes to see the full scape of the city.
<DrEvilKitteh> The carriage dropped and bounced, seeming to lose most of its momentum...before it fell past the edge of the building and plummeted. Fast. As in, /really fucking fast/. It seemed to fall down a massive circular chasm, which appeared endless from their perspective. From how fast it was falling, the inside of the carriage basically simulated zero-gravity for about half a minute.
<DrEvilKitteh> "Nnneat," Sam said quietly, floating in the air with legs crossed.
<trapdoors> For the 30 seconds that such lasted, Nessie felt completely at peace. She observed the people around her and registered all of their reactions, smiling patiently and peacefully. The whole moment seemed like it would last forever, as for the rest of the time it lasted Nessie closed her eyes and felt completely at peace with her circumstances, the good and bad.
* Kajiya winced, clenching her eyes as she clinged to Mel, who seemed somewhat amused by the situation... It would certainly be annoying if they died, but it might be half worth the ride here after all... So Mel felt at least.
<DrEvilKitteh> The carriage finally hit something. It was some sort of half-circular path for it to slide down, akin to the things commonly used in a Rube Goldberg machine. Although, instead of just sliding, they slid and rolled. End over end over end, for a little over five seconds.
<DrEvilKitteh> Then, the carriage soared out from the end of the half-pipe, spun some more, then fell down and hit the Ferris Wheel at the three-quarters mark. The carriage swung back and forth like a pendulum for several seconds, but eventually settled down.
<Kajiya> 
ACTION gave a terrified "EEP!" as they started to tumble, and Kaji who wasn't holding onto anything properly solid was somwhat tossed about, dangling from Mel before they exited, spun more which sent her o nce again floping about, before they 'landed', Kajiya looking... decently unsettled, to say the least after all that and trembling a bit, somewhat teary eyed. "That was a lot less fun than I thought it would be." she meekly whimpered,

<flashdrive> While away, Claudia had not only found the cotton candy stand and eaten her fill of that, but had also practised her powers on the various carnival game stands and learned a great deal about how to manipulate gravity. She discovered she could nullify her own gravity and summon a small singularity in front of her, allowing her to effectively fly, pulled along by the singularity. She used this power to fly around in search of the others, w
<flashdrive> appeared to be a Ferris Wheel carriage flying through the air. She sped towards it as fast as she could, before stopping in midair and watching in amazement as it found its way back to the Ferris Wheel. She eagerly flew down to get a closer look, when she noticed who was in the carriage.
<flashdrive> "Hey guys, what did I miss?"
<DrEvilKitteh> "...Quite a bit, actually..." Sam replied after rolling the window down. "At least being a Gravity specialist helped with the motion sickness. Sorry about...this, by the way, Kajiya."
<DrEvilKitteh> *"Sorry about...this, by the way, Kajiya."
<Kajiya> "I-it's fine... just... awwaaaa..." she meekly whined, trembling a bit as Mel sighed with a smile and petted her with a shrug.
<Melenda> "She's not too used to moving too fast. I always gotta cover her eyes if we teleport long distances."  Mel said with a slight giggle.
<trapdoors> After hopping off and falling on the floor due to her lack of balance, Nessie kept laughing like she had the most fun in the entire world, holding her stomach that was aching from so much laughing.
<trapdoors> After calming down she got on her feet and jumped up and down on her feet, a child-like smile colouring her features. "I want to go again!"
<flashdrive> "Oooh, well if you liked that, then you'll LOVE the Vortex Dive!" Claudia giggled
<Kajiya> "Vortex whasanow...?" Kaji asked a bit meekly. sitting up now that her trembling has died down.
<DrEvilKitteh> Sam grinned despite himself regarding Kajiya. He turned to look at Nessie and Claudia. "If you don't mind leading the way, I think we can manage it." He glanced back at Kajiya and Mel. "...Assuming it's like the Ferris Wheel, you don't have to come, if you don't want to."
<flashdrive> Claudia eagerly whips out her leaflet and reads out the ride's description: "Dive into the raging heart of an artificially created Tornado and snag fabulous prizes"
<flashdrive> "Come on then, follow me!" she giggled as she flew off towards the ride
<Kajiya> "No no I'll come... I mean, it wasn't totally unlikable... just... I wante dto know that would happen before going on it." she whined to Sam, sighing as she got up.
* Melenda would lead Kaji along now with a small smirk, this circus thing is more amusing than she gave credit to originally. Though, she wondered where that clown-woman ran off to or what was with their looks...
<trapdoors> Nessie gave out a curious 'ooo!' when she heard that there would be prizes. "What kind of prizes will they be, I wonder?"
<Kajiya> "...Prizes sound nice." Kaji added with a slight smile.
<Melenda> "Eh, probably won't be enough unless they're offering magical souls..." Mel mused idly. "And if they were doing that I have to question why we are still here and not away from here, much too dangerous for kids."
<trapdoors> "I think it'll be quite nice! I mean, we know all about the ride this time, it's...just a Tornado! How bad can that be?" Nessie said, walking in a calm pace, her long, unruly ivory hair swaying gently along with her figure. It was the first time she didn't have her hair completely pulled back, revealing that her hair was fully even, almost elven like in how silk smooth it seemed to be in the lights of the carnival.
<DrEvilKitteh> They reached the Vortex Dive booth, which...looked like a fairly ordinary booth, actually, if a bit larger than normal, with an entrance, and with the whole "VORTEX DIVE" over the booth in big bright letters to attract attention. They walked into the booth to the back, where a wide circular platform lay flush to the ground. It had guard rails all around it, forcing them to hop over or crouch under it to get on the platform.
<DrEvilKitteh> "Somehow, I pictured there being a tornado here," Sam said drily as they stood, waiting, along with a few other people.
<trapdoors> "I think if a tornado was here, it'd be a rather dangerous Cirque, non?" She said, pointing out the number of people that were around them. "Oh, speaking of tornado, I best be a little prepared." Nessie then entertained herself for a couple of minutes, putting her hair in a thick braid as they all waited in line.
* Kajiya shrugged, following along. "Well, perhaps I should use the wings then..." She muttered, as a set of angelic-like wings sprouted from her after a moment of focus. "Hmmm... maybe another set where my arms are... no, I need them to grab stuff. Legs perhaps...?" she muttered to herself, trying to figure out what would and wouldnt' be best to use on herself to try controling during a, well, tornado.
<DrEvilKitteh> There was a loud hiss, and the platform jerked, dropping down an inch. Then, it began to slowly descend, like an elevator. About twenty feet down, a hatch closed shut up at the top of the tunnel, turning everything pitch black. An instant later, dim orange lights flickered to life in the shaft, allowing them to see.
<trapdoors> "Aren't wings a little unfair? After all, I am only doing this so I don't get in my eyes while trying to capture the prizes!" Nessie said, now turned towards, still sporting the adorable naive smile of hers. Upon hearing all the commotion, she turned around to observe what unfolded with the lights.
<Kajiya> "Eh? How's it unfair, I just don't use them usually." Kajiya asked curiously to Nessie as if nothing was wrong with this at all.
<DrEvilKitteh> Soon, they started hearing a dull roar, which increased in intensity every few seconds. Finally, the shaft ended, letting light from below bleed into the vertical tunnel. The roar became almost deafening now, and a mighty wind whipped all around. As the platform continued descending, they realized that it was hovering in the air, probably because of some magic.
<flashdrive> Noticing the way Nellie was tying up her hair, Claudia attempted to mimic this, using a small singularity to hold her hair in place of a hair tie
<DrEvilKitteh> Below them was an honest-to-god tornado, and they were right at the eye of the storm, about twenty feet below its upper ridge.
<DrEvilKitteh> The tornado was grey and violent, roaring and tearing throughout what Sam assumed was some sort of massive underground room of some sort. Small objects could be seen buffeted around by its winds.
<DrEvilKitteh> All around, massive glowing words appeared: "NEXT ROUND".
<DrEvilKitteh> Then: "START IN"
<DrEvilKitteh> "5"
<DrEvilKitteh> "4"
<DrEvilKitteh> "3"
<trapdoors> "W-Well, it's just, it gives you control in air, something I do not have. Sure, being in a tornado might be specially difficult for most of us, but it'd be nice if we all tried to get prizes eh...how do you say it? fair and scare?" Nessie politely pointed out, having to raise her volume as she heard the tornado come to action.

* Kajiya simply pulled out some simple aviator goggles with a small smile, as she prepared for this. IT's been so long since she got to use these!
<DrEvilKitteh> Sam pulled out some earbuds and put them in his ears, then hit 'Play' on his music player. Calming, soothing classical music started playing, and the enchanted device cut out all sound from the tornado. He gave everyone a quick two-fingered salute, and then it was time.

* Melenda was just standing there not giving a damn. She'd just go into this completely normally... Probably...
<DrEvilKitteh> Sam grabbed the railing and vaulted off, flipping and straightening out. He knifed through the air, flying along like a bullet.
<trapdoors> Nessie turned to Claudia and shook her head. "No, I must win this via my own strengths!" After saying such, because of the raging winds no one could hear her humming, but it did not last long as she shone an amber light. The only thing that could be seen through her grin, was that her canines were bigger than usual in an almost feline way. Nessie leapt into it whole heartedly.
<flashdrive> Claudia immediately nullified her gravity, only to find that without mass, she was easily swept away by the tornado
<flashdrive> sweeping around with little control, Claudia quickly realised that she would be unable to steer herself, instead using her gravity powers to move the prizes towards her.
<flashdrive> She cackled evilly as she secured fully a quarter of the prizes within ten seconds of entering the ride.

<DrEvilKitteh> However, when Nessie jumped out, and when Claudia tried to use gravity to move the prizes towards her, they both found that their magic had been diminished, rendered almost completely nonexistent.
* Kajiya flew along with a small smile as the winds quickly picked up, while the ferris wheel was a shock and no fun, that's only because she wasn't prepared, flying about and grabbing however many prizes she could go for, namingly the shiny and cute ones... Her only 'magic' was that which she already did to herself, at that.

* Melenda would attempt to teleport the prizes all to herself, instantly winning at everything... "Huh. Antimagic... well that's annoying." Mel said flatly as she suddenly got swept into the air, sighing as she crossed her arms and was thrown around in the tornado uncaringly... Maybe she should go for a prize? Eh....

<DrEvilKitteh> Sam's body jerked and bounced in the air, the winds tearing at his clothes and hair. He had to strain to keep himself steady, otherwise his limbs would be flopping all over the place. He reached out a hand as he neared a glittering prize, momentarily receiving a Harry Potter flashback regarding Quidditch Seekers.

A thought ran through her head that she should've given herself more arms though... instead slowing her spinning around the vortex to get towards Mel, practically running into her and shoving her prizes into Mel's hands. <trapdoors> Nessie tried her best to steer and to reach out for a prize, feeling that she wasn't boosted at all from her powers no matter how much she tried to channel them. Regardless of such, she positioned herself fully straight to try and reach out to one right at the edge.

* Melenda idly looked and saw Kaji run into her and shove things into her arms... Well, at least Kaji was having fun, a small smile ran across Mel's lips as she saw Kaji having fun flapping her wings frantically and not-so-nimbly nor swiftly nor gracefully spiraling around towards her targets.
<flashdrive> While the others focused on the biggest prize in the centre, Claudia grabbed as many of the outermost prizes as her little arms could hold.
<DrEvilKitteh> Sam caught the small box, finally, then tilted to go after one of the plushies--or at least it looked like a plushie. Upon snagging it in between his heels, he saw that it was, indeed, some sort of stuffed animal. He shoved both into his duster and buttoned it up, then aimed for that center prize, whatever it was.
<trapdoors> Nessie managed to grab hold of only one at the edges of the tornado. Satisfied with her own small victory, she looked around to see how exactly does one exit this particularly chaotic ride.
* Kajiya would keep going towardsthe middle prizes, the winds more violent as she got thrown around easily, having to fold and creatively flap at her wings... it would be somewhat evident that at many times she was bending them in quite 'impossible' ways for if they were proper and normal wings, but slowly but surely she was closing in on the center prize. So long as the timer didn't run out or something... Closer... Clooooseeerr.....
<flashdrive> Meanwhile, clutching half a dozen prizes in her arms, Claudia realised, to her utter horror, that she would be unable to use her arms to get off the ride for as long as she held onto those prizes.

<DrEvilKitteh> Unfortunately for Kajiya, a particularly violent gust of wind catches her wings at a bad angle, delaying her for just a couple seconds--just long enough for Sam to soar in, reach out, and firmly grab the edge of the prize with one hand.
<DrEvilKitteh> He whooped, the sound of which was taken away by the raging tornado. The prize was...easily as big as his torso, if not almost as large as he was tall; it was kind of hard to judge, given the circumstances.
* Kajiya instead, while diving for the present... missed and flew totally off target, another meek "YEEP!" though, drowned out most likely by the wind, as she was pulled away and Sam would beat her to it, still, the smile didn't leave her face, it was fun anyway.

* Melenda landed on their back with a rather solid thud, before re-adjusting and sitting up with the items Kajiya got. "Mind taking these?"
* Kajiya pocketed the giant puchuu-like plushie, the small shiny plushie, and opening her box she got- Candies! That... also got pocketed into hammerspace. She'd figure out why they seemed to emminate magic as they walked to their next attraction, looking to the box and reading it curiously.
<flashdrive> Claudia mumbles frantically, desperate to find someone to reduce her load, but with a prize in her mouth, no-one is able to make sense of her muffled pleas

<DrEvilKitteh> Sam sighed and stood up, popping out his earbuds. "Yeah, pretty tense there, especially at the center prize." He patted the big, big box he'd grabbed in the middle. It was rectangular, about five feet long and two and a half feet tall. He grabbed it by the end and started dragging it to the exit, looking completely unencumbered by its apparent weight.
* Karpinsky is looking through the carnival. "Sam? Nessie?"
<trapdoors> Nessie landed on her feet, and, seemingly out of nowhere, two triangular shapes popped on her head, as well as a tail slithered out of her lower clothing, a much more flexible and poofy one, swishing very slowly. Completely unaware of these changes, she turned around and bounced equally as excited. "I managed to get this! It's only a tiny box but a success, oui?" Her smile revealed that her canines grew in size, sufficiently noticeable w

He walked through the door and down a long corridor, which ended with a large circular grate at the end. They all stood on it, and a massive fan below activated, sending them up several floors to street-level.
<DrEvilKitteh> They were deposited neatly in a small waiting room, and an open doorway to the street neat the Vortex Dive booth itself was a few meters in front of them.
* Kajiya followed along, a small smile on her face. "I think I like circuses, they seem fun." Kaji said happily, as she finished attempting to read the box, realized it was not in english, gave up and popped a candy into her mouth at random...

<DrEvilKitteh> "Almost as cute as you," Sam rubbed Nessie's head, then walked out onto the street and practically walked right into Karpinsky. "Hey, Karp. What kept you?

<Kajiya> "Nyo seriously, did something happen?" Kaji asked, seeming confused and tilting her head to them.

<flashdrive> Claudia got over herself, realising that there was no danger in Kaji's peculiar magic, and ran over to pet her and Nessie with the others

<trapdoors> As soon as Karpinsky's hands touched her ears, only then, did Nessie realize what went wrong in her speech. "N-Nyaa! Oh no...I must have focused too much! P-Please, Madame, I-I must revert this!" She said, her face beet-red just like before.
<DrEvilKitteh> As if on-cue, a Carnivale employee cartwheeled in front of them, silently handing out small plastic bags. Once that was done, he went cartwheeling away to...who knows where.

<DrEvilKitteh> Sam opened the bag and looked into it. "...Hammerspace enchantment, of course," he said, matter-of-factly.

<flashdrive> She was able to drop her prizes off with the guards at the entrance, leaving them in the contestants' room. She switched to her civilian clothes and awaited the arrival off her friends.
