  1. Uri - Alice Says to, Start off Small.
  2.
  3. Maybe a year after he had achieved the aura of the Phoenix Sanctus, young Uri would go out to pursue the secondary goal. To be one that mends and aids the people of Osrona... He had an idea, which was to empower the Royals or anyone who would be fighting at war. Even if it meant giving them his life, Uri was ready to be a powersource of his own, to be a great support in more ways than one. Now at first, he was misunderstood, as Alice believed he wanted to drain the stars and dictate who inherits their power but in truth, Uri wanted to be the one to pass on his own Blessing instead.
  4.
  5. [09:43] Uri Sanctum asks, "Princess Alice, right?"
  6. [09:43] Uri offers a slight head bow.
  7. (Uri Sanctum)
  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [09:43] Alice rubbed her eyes. "Yes..."
  11. (Alice ras Petrakis)
  12. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13.
  14. [09:44] Uri Sanctum says, "I notice you around the church quite often. Are you a member of the Faith?... I figured, since Inante is busy, it'd be best to ask another expert about the stars."
  15.
  16. [09:48] Oh, dear...
  17.
  18. Ask -her- about the stars? What an exciting prospect! She looked over to Pericles first, her lips drawn in a thin line.
  19.
  20. She had been busy, after all... paying close attention and dissecting the flow of the conversation. People were happy to hold Pericles to higher standards now that he had become champion, as if with a swing of his sword he could expel all injustice. If only it were that easy.
  21.
  22. "Perhaps you could prepare a few history tomes for the church..? We have a lot of visitors nowadays." Her meek voice was laced with irritation at the misinformation gouging her ears. Perhaps it was no small wonder that people lacked faith, if they didn't even understand the truth of things.
  23.
  24. Bright blue eyes looked to Uri. "I'm not a priest, but I can explain much to you. Unless you need a magic teacher."
  25. (Alice ras Petrakis)
  26.
  27. [09:54] Not a Priest, but maybe she still made many contributions to the church itself. After all, so far, he's seen that Alexander can utilize the blessings of the stars, same for Marie, their cousin. Though, he did not come to her for lessons, but rather, he sought out her advice. For she was someone raised with much wisdom in his eyes.
  28.
  29. Because she was above him, he was a bit unfocused, having to look at the grass in order to truly talk the way he needed in order to explain. "I won't need a teacher, I'm pretty adept to it, but, I want to know something, for a certain goal of mine... How possible would it be, to empower others? To make an army strong through a single vessel from the cosmos?"
  30.
  31. Still, it was the same as his goal to become the Phoenix of Osrona, but if they goal were to be reached. He'd need another, to become the Phoenix that empowers the crown. "There's a certain dream I want to reach, and I think only through the cosmos, could that be possible."
  32.
  33. His unfocused eyes would finally settle on Alice after explaining all of that. "But, I'd like to have your advice, on the deeper and more hidden pieces of wisdom within the light."
  34. (Uri Sanctum)
  35.
  36. [10:05] The princess kept a carefully neutral expression as she contemplated what she was told, still soured by the conversation from earlier. The question wasn't something that she could easily answer. What did empowering even mean? She had a vague understanding.
  37.
  38. "Stars have no problem empowering people on their own," she'd begin mildly. "They are not some sort of energy container that you can pull from to share with others at will. They are pieces of the universe each serving their own purpose. There are rituals to call upon the grace of Leonaus and to empower our people in times of peril..."
  39.
  40. Alice glanced away, cupping her cheek delicately. "I can't tell you about any possibilities. All I can say is to not grow arrogant like the old Astyan magi, who were infallibly confident in their strength. Everything we're given as at the behest of our makers. Lofty goals can be pursued to the ends of the earth but ultimately it is thestars that will choose the right vessel for the right job..."
  41. (Alice ras Petrakis)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [10:06] Cetta whispers something.
  45. [10:08] Scallopus says, "This guy needs to zone back in."
  46. [10:12] He would shake his head. "It's not a selfish one, nor do I want to pull power from the stars." He would reply with a big smile. He felt misunderstood but that was no issue for him as he could see how much he messed up his own explanation.
  47.
  48. "I wish to be something of a source, so that, I could lend my own power, in case we ever come to a need for such... Not that I'm worthy of even giving up the little power I have, but. It's a goal I've been set on, since I became a cadet." Uri did not want any large amounts of power for himself. But he'd gladly give it and his life it meant achieving that goal, and helping the Petrakis ascend to greater heights.
  49.
  50. "To defend, mend and assist." He would take a moment to remember her words. "I won't grow arrogant, I can promise that one. But, I hope what I'm saying makes sense... I'm not very good at this aren't I?" He spoke with a hint of nervousness, as he felt some authority leave her voice upon being told of the Stars having their own will as he already understood... He just hoped that, some day, he'd find that help he was looking for, to be someone capable of bestowing a Blessing upon others.
  51. (Uri Sanctum)
  52. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  53.
  54. [10:18] "Nothing is impossible for those with enough faith." It was a simple mantra, one that many dismissed in the current years. Fanciful words or some sort of metaphor- no, to Alice they were the truth of the matter. All things were born from beings far greater and older than they ever could be.
  55.
  56. She tapped her chin. "Like I said, there are rituals.. I believe some of the priests can call forth blessings of their own beneath stars and angels. That doesn't draw upon cosmic power, though. It's a religious link. You'll need to find Father Inante, as I'm sure you might've already guessed."
  57.
  58. Her own knowledge ran into limits. But she could answer the question, couldn't she? "Simply put, yes, such a thing is possible... you'll need to start smaller."
  59. (Alice ras Petrakis)
  60. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61.
  62. [10:20] Faira lei Sanctum says, "..."
  63. [10:25] He smiled, for his mind would reach some clarity. Because now he saw his secondary dream being a possibility. He would not try to spill the beans about his current goal he was working towards, as that was his way of starting small already. But, he would give the princess a clear look of gratitude, for her guidance upon the matter if not anything else.
  64.
  65. "Right now, he's out with Prince Alexander, but, thank you, your majesty, for making things clear for me." He would fold his arms, "I thought it'd be a stretch, asking you about this... I was intimidated, to say the least."
  66.
  67. "Starting small, I will keep that in mind---" That was when, he came to the idea of just asking. For the purpose of getting to know the people he will serve, for that was the end goal. "May I ask of your goals? You're very wise, I thought I'd ask to break the curiosity." He patiently waits for an answer. There was no rush.
  68. (Uri Sanctum)
  69. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  70.
  71. [10:33] The young Petrakis really didn't mind a little bit of intimidation following requests made of her. It made it a lot easier to act more confident in turn, even as her socialising ability grew with days spent far from her controlling guards. A small smile was offered.
  72.
  73. "My goal? Hmmm... nothing special," she'd conclude after a second. Details of her upcoming advancements aside the girl hadn't thought too much about her own concrete future.
  74.
  75. "To support my brother and make sure that Esshar is prosperous and safe. The duty of the Petrakis and nothing less."
  76. (Alice ras Petrakis)
  77. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  78.
  79. [10:41] Inante Arl Salis whispers something.
  80. [10:41] Pericles Vitalis whispers something.
  81. [10:43] The Duty of the Petrakis... To support the crown and ensure that the town would be prosperous. It seemed like the royals had the same goals in mind as many of the cadets, including Uri himself. Now, it was nothing he could use to become a friend. But he could see that even the royals aside from Marie could be very much down to Earth. There was some human in everyone after all.
  82.
  83. "That's a fine goal, and I'm sure, with the support of uhm… Thousands!---That you'll be able to obtain and also... Maintain that goal." He brings his hands together, interlocking his fingers, for making too many hand gestures might come off as improper conduct.
  84.
  85. "---I'm sorry that I am introducing myself so late. I'm Uri, from the house of Sanctum... It's an honor, speaking with you. I'd say," the lad would offer one last bow. "If you are busy, I will make up for delaying your departure, by heeding your words from this day on." It was the courtly thing to say. He had no issue being formal, but struggled around rank and other people of status, mainly due to his young impressionable age. Typically he'd stay silent but Alice welcome him to speak and so he took that chance, even if it only lasted a few moments.
  86. (Uri Sanctum)
  87. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  88.
  89. [10:51] There wasn't much more for the princess to say. Her head inclined in a nod, still smiling as she looked over to the side. The dreams of the young boy would rest in anothers hands, now, as she handed him off to...
  90.
  91. "Father Inante," the girl muttered. "Could you speak to Uri here? I'm sure it'd be helpful."
  92.
  93. Alice was of nervous countenance herself, something she worked on improving (hiding) each day. Her hands cupped in front of her as she looked over to the fountain, awaiting Pericles.
  94. (Alice ras Petrakis)
  95.
  96. 10:53] He'd arrive after his sparring and training with the Crowned Prince, He'd give a message to the High Keeper in a whisper before noticing the Princess. "Of course your Majesty, Is there something the matter Uri?"
  97.
  98. He'd let the High Keeper go on with his business with the Princess as he approached the young Cadet.
  99.
  100. He'd not seen the boy but a few minutes prior his training.."Do we need to speak in private or is here fine?" His face showed slight concern but still he tried to give a soft smile.
  101. (Inante Arl Salis)
  102. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  103.
  104.
  105. [10:57] Miura says, "Alright. I've been better, though."
  106. [10:58] Looking up to the man who originally guided him towards the path of the cosmos. Uri could openly speak with a little less than nervous response. "Stellus Salis...The church would be fine. It can get pretty noisy out around the hours of wake up."
  107.
  108. That's when he stood back up from his bow, turning to Inante after saying his last words to Alice, "Farewell your majesty." And with that, Uri would have Inante lead the way, only following the man to a place they could discuss these matters. For his words could be easily mistaken.
  109. (Uri Sanctum)
  110. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  111.
  112. [10:59] Inante Arl Salis asks, "So whats the matter?"
  113. [11:00] Uri would first go to the sink, dipping his fingertips into the water... He'd tap his forehead, then both sides of his shoulder with a single hand...Ending it with a one handed prayer sign.
  114. (Uri Sanctum)
  115. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  116.
  117. [11:05] He would then go to explain what he told Alice to Inante, "Stellus Salis… I'm nearing the end of my first goal since I entered the First light... But, I realized, something... My first goal, to one day forge a shroud of the Phoenix Flame, if I could help the crown not by simply making a defense or being a capable fighter..."
  118.
  119. "But to be something that could always be of use for the many years to come, if I could empower the crown lords in times of war like those that are upon us."
  120.
  121. He takes a moment to make his way back towards the chairs. "Alice told me, that it isn't something a normal person could achieve, but a Priest or someone akin to one... Is this true? Can the church show me the way? To dedicating my power as a Blessing to those I'm loyal to?" Uri always had the goal and Inante would know this if he remembered their first encounter as well as their training to walk a bridge towards the stars.
  122.
  123. "If I so happen to perfect the Phoenix Sanctus. Then I'll strive to be someone the Prince and others could rely on, and die if I must give them every inch of my spirit," the young Phoenix to be was dedicated. For his spirit had hatched in order to find a greater purpose.
  124. (Uri Sanctum)
  125. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  126.
  127.
  128. [11:15] Inante would arrive in the Church and take a Seat on his chair, He'd then drum his fingers on his desk as he waited to hear what was troubling Uri so much on his mind. As he did he'd heard his words and delegated within his own head for sometime. "Yes there is a power that can achieve this, Its nothing less than a lesser miracle, The power to bless someone with the powers of the Stars and Angels."
  129.
  130. He'd listen to the pleading but he'd kept a neutral expression remaining. "Although its a power that requires something more than just tenacity, Its a contract that forces your lifeforce into another, If one isn't well versed with what could happen it could easily cause their death."
  131.
  132. Its also why there weren't any Priest or even very many people Inante considered ready for the position as one. "The Church reserves the right to teach this to people who have elevated themselves within Osrona, but I don't believeyou need such a power to do the things you desire Uri. Its something I'd only consider giving to someone had they taken the vows of the Church and became a prominent figure within it." Of course there was more to it than that but Inante couldn't tell all his secrets.
  133.
  134. "The Blessing of Leonaus is shared for only special Occasions and myself personally would only give it to those of the Royal Family. Or in exchange for something of Equal value...but to teach it to someone else? Well...You'd have to accomplish a feat so grand you'd be seen as a hero in all of Osrona. Or take up the oaths of the Church and work your way to becoming a Priest of Celestialism." It wasn't an easy power to gift to just anyone while he could sense Uri's intentions were pure, Not everything beneath the stars could be so easily obtained.
  135. (Inante Arl Salis)
  136. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  137.
  138. [11:26] There were many hidden requirements that he was being told about. Certain, he and Inante shared the same eye upon the topic of WHO should be given such a blessing when the time came... Uri's ideal eye was Alexander, someone he could trust with an immense pool of power. But, in order to achieve such... Uri would have to be deemed worthy by other the church or the people of Osrona as well as the constellations above.
  139.
  140. "I see, this will be no easy task but. I am willing to do whatever it takes. Because I want to make sure that our King to be, remains on the thrown for many life times, till the day of his natural slumber comes about."
  141.
  142. Why was Uri so loyal. Probably because of the impressions the royals had on him so far. They were not corrupt, and they did not abuse their people. He saw this as an absolute justice, or rather a necessary action. A fail safe.
  143.
  144. "What do I do at this point?... I want to be able to achieve a gift that will allow meto do exactly as your said, even if I had to forget everything I've learned up to this point."
  145.
  146. He rubs his forehead. "Stellus Salis, what am I to do?" He was stuck between choosing the longest route, or to take the shortest route, being a Priest, however... He did not want to give up on a normal life. Nor did he believe himself to be good enough to be as holy as someone like Del or Inante… His spirit was a tad bit too adventurous for it, which caused him some conflict, to stay grounded or take the route that wouldn't show its fruits for another five or ten years.
  147. (Uri Sanctum)
  148. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  149.
  150. [11:36] Inante would enjoy the words from anyone who believed Alexander to be need of saving but he didn't have to worry about such things. "You need not worry, I always make sure that the Crown Prince receives a blessing either from myself or one of the other Priest, You can rest easy knowing he is already protected by Leonaus."
  151.
  152. The Stellus was listening to him, He said very little as the boy expressed how he felt and his desires, it was true it was indeed a cross roads of opportunity. "In life we have to decide for ourselves which path we follow, And there will always be multiple paths and choices to make that will divert us from our original goals. But no matter the influence the path we take is our own to choose."
  153.
  154.
  155. "You have to decide for yourself Uri, I am on a path of my own, and never was it decided that I am to tell others which one to follow. If you desire to protect the Prince you can do that as a Knight or Radiant in the First Light. As a Keeper or Priest in the Church. Its not exclusive to either faction I'd just say the First Light operates in more combat scenarios than we do." He'd then give another tap of his fingers on his desk as he spoke.
  156.
  157. "The most important thing is that you have the desire and will to do that. You need not worry about giving blessings, That is the job of the Church and as long as I am doing my job correctly you can expect that our future King will always be blessed by the stars."
  158. (Inante Arl Salis)
  159. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. [11:45] There was much wisdom to give to someone as young as 15. "I see---I probably was worrying a bit over nothing... I just want to help, in ways other than simply fighting," said the young medic. Now he would ponder about the future, for only a brief moment.
  162.
  163. There was Inante and many other Priest like him doing that exact thing. Now, Uri never enjoyed combat, but always did what was necessary... Perhaps he could still be that guardian without having to mimic the duties of the church. Perhaps there was much more to life than always thinking about the next best task one could complete in order to assure the safety of the crown.
  164.
  165.
  166. Uri was a simple teen who just forgot how vast the world around him truly was. "One day I will return or, just show my decision, upon the road I will take. . . I never knew, the wisdom of the church and stars would be so deep."
  167.
  168. The young teen would finally stand up.
  169.
  170. "Thank you again Stellus Salis, you always make things clear for the journey of many and so many others." He smiles, "Even if that journey is a silly one, like becoming the Phoenix of Osrona haha." But even then, the Phoenix was a symbol of great wisdom and capacities to defend... There was no mystery as to why he desired such, but each day, he took a step towards it. A Reality Made from a Pipe-Dream.
  171. (Uri Sanctum)
  172.
  173. [11:53] Inante shakes his head from left to right his expression showing a smile upon it. "There are those who fight for selfish reasons, And those who fight for others, And they can both become strong regardless of their goals. All that it takes is initiative. And purpose. It doesn't mean everyone will end up where their supposed to be right away, but it just means you must strive to prove you're worth at all times, Not to others but to yourself and the stars."
  174.
  175. After all it was what Inante was doing, He made his plea to the Angels and the stars to watch him, To guide him as he made his moves to fight the evils of this world and lock them away once and for all.
  176.
  177. "Whether your a Swordsmen,, A mage, A crafter, a Knight, or a Priest we all find our value by knowing what we do is to help another or sometimes just to better ourselves, None is the incorrect answer, The only answer that matters is what you do with your life and what effect it has on those around you." He'd give a nod to Uri as he'd explain about his dream of becoming a Phoenix something.
  178.
  179. "I believe you'll achieve your goal, I just think you need the impact required to do so. All that we need is imagination." Inante needed it as well his studies in Chronomancy had been coming along but he wasn't where he needed to be just yet.
  180. (Inante Arl Salis)
