Our Eighth Grade

The year starts and it's pretty slow
Come on panthers, it's time to go
We gotta get used to our new surroundings
We wish we weren't here 'cause we could be lounging
It's time to start here, with a fresh start
Because I look delicious with my middle part
The year starts and it's not too exciting
Because the hallway has very poor lighting
We question ourselves about this school
It's starting to feel kind of cool
We're at the point where we get to know teachers
'cause Mr. Perry shows us iFunny features
Mr. Perry says they're all original
But the truth in that is not even a little
In early November, we didn't know what to think
It's a good thing Bowerman gave us a link
We're starting to get in the swing of things
Knowledge flies at us like it has wings
Now we're excited because christmas is coming
We don't want the weather to freeze all our plumbing
If there are friends to have, we would have them now
If you have friends, stand, take a bow
Christmas is coming, where will you go
I wonder if we'll get lots of snow
We're back at school after the break
Now a nap is what I want to take
We have to relearn what we forgot
Have no doubt, there is a lot
The weather is clear and we think it's good
But snowstorms are coming, up in the hood
We're getting this feeling, some call it hype
The timing ain't bad 'cause the fruit is ripe
Spring break is coming, the people are glad
After the break, people go mad
We didn't see it, but the snow did come
They added extra minutes so we don't feel dumb
We're at the point we're excited for classes
We rush to the good ones by the masses
Now super hyped, we've got PMA
It gives us a smile that lasts all day
Starting to crunch for the SOL
Only hoping that we will do well
By now in Civics, we've learned the amendments
We know the thirteenth marks slavery ended
The writing SOL is done and dusted
This word crime myth has been busted
Now we are hyped for the end of the year
We realize due dates are closer than they appear
Summer's almost here, it's getting closer
Tanning on a beach like bread in a toaster
We'll soon be freshmen in high school
Don't you worry, it'll be cool
Nearing the end, the hype is so real
The PMA gives us all the feels
Most can agree: this year was the best
We'll finish it off with a few great tests
It wouldn't have been great if not for the staff
They educate us and give us a laugh
Near the top is Mrs. Chappa, she's one of the best
She makes sure to do Kahoot before every test
Zajac taught us the science of death
But she wouldn't teach us how to make meth
Change the vowel in meth to an A
And you get math to last you all day
Mrs. Reyes, Mrs. Morgan, whoever you choose
They'll give you a formula so you don't lose
Mrs. Reyes is cool and her classes are fun
And she'll keep poking you 'til your concept test is done
Sometimes Mrs. MOrgan teaches trigonometry
And we walk into class like "Hey, teach that to me!"
Then there is civics, Agami and Perry
THe difference is that one has no hairy
Mr. P. with his pic of the day
To be in his class, I would pay
Mr. Agami has hair of his own
Inside his class is a great learning zone
Mr. Dunlo, Mrs. George, they both teach English
Their teaching style isn't hard to distinguish
Mr. Dunlo, his class is so fun
It makes my raps hotter than the sun
Miss McClelland is helping him out
Having a great time without a doubt
Miss George is a great teacher in town
She'll help you to learn to break English down
We can't forget about the Spanish stuff
Knowing two languages makes me seem tough
Senora Davis can teach it real well
But you have to pay attention or the test will tell
Senora Barnes will teach you the tenses
You'll speak it so well you have to go to the dentist
Our music department is best of the best
There's no use competing 'cause we'll beat the rest
There's Mr. Hernandez with his trumpet
His smile fueling orchestra so we'll never dump it
And Mr. Privette, he's quite tall
his attitude's great, a smile for them all
Also Mrs. Gulliford helping students sing
Teaching them how to make their voice ring
Thank you staff, teachers, and friends
For making this a year I don't want to end
