You see, I love minecraft and I try to play it as much as possible, but when visiting the forums to see the latest news and check out some new servers, the site isn't that well built in terms of content and the way people act. I have talked to some people around minecraftforum.net and they agree that the site has a lot of trolls and thus making the community a place they don't want to be part of. The main problem is, trolling and the fact that moderators lock threads instead of punishing (o kinky) the members.

I want to create a forum that would get rid of all the trolling, and adding"extras" to the website. Things like, "Server List" where members could email me or another OP, their server information which will then be featured on the front page for every one too see. A customization section, where we showcase all of the textures and mods that are available to download, and of course we keep the discussion sections for those that like to create topics and discuss them.

I am not in it to make money, I simply want to create a forum/website for the minecraft community where people don't have to worry about trolling, random comments that don't help the topic,  members that make the environment a horrible place and admins/mods that actually do what they suppose to do ie. Ban/gag trolls, withhold threads in order to make everyone to follow the rules, and so on.

Obviously this is where I and others would come in, I as well as others on my team would pay for the website, do all the coding, following upon rules: "No spamming", "No Trolling" etc.


I asked some members of the minecraft community about the forum, and this is what I got.

-If you had a change to fix the forum, what would you do?
	A: Delete the whole forum, pick new staff to run it, and starting over.
	A: Getting rid of all the trolling, and enforcing the rules.

- What are some of the cons on the forum right now?
	A: The staff locks threads instead of banning the trolls. The general people of the community 	don't follow the rules, since they aren't enforced regularly.

-In your opinion, what do you think went wrong, in terms of the website?
	A: The community grew too fast, and the OP's couldn't keep up. At one point there were 2 OP's 	for 500 members.

You see, looking at these questions, you can really tell that the admins/mods are a big part of why the forum has not worked out. A better system (Rules, and punishment), better OP's, are just a few factors in which needs rehabilitation.
