     [ 1 ] PERFECTIONIST. umeko, despite her bright and lively nature, is very hard on herself and a stickler for details and perfectionism. she wants to get so great at what she does that there's nothing others can point out negatively about her. despite being like this, she does not enforce her perfectionism onto others and respects their pace.

     [ 2 ] LIVELY. she is a very outgoing person, always managing to lighten up the athmosphere and make everyone smile with her softness and quirkiness. she's easily liked by others due to this !

     [ 3 ] OVER SENSITIVE. she is very, very bad at handling criticism, even when it's positive. she just dislikes it and takes it too much to heart, ending up having those words linger in her head for hours.

✧ BACKGROUND.
      ↳ umeko was born in hokkaido, japan, to two well off, ethnically japanese parents, working in the marketing industry. they later on immigrated to busan, south korea, when umeko was 9 years old, for career related purposes and also to start fresh in a new place.

umeko was always well liked and popular for her friendly nature at school ; not only in japan, but also in korea. she was quick to pick up the language, taking some extra korean classes. although being japanese, she was never looked at as the foreigner in school, she managed to win her new classmates' hearts, who were amused by her short height and cute way of speaking korean, every so often messing up sweetly.

she first started to dream of pursuing a career as an idol when she and her mother went to watch young people covering songs and busking on the streets of hongdae. from there, her curiosity was piqued and it was only a matter of time for her to start wanting to learn how to do all that. because of her request her mother enrolled her into a performing arts high school and also got her into a dance academy. umeko was never the greatest student at logical subjects but exceeded at those related to arts so the decision to send her to a peforming arts school was relatively easy.

she became one of her schoolʼs top students when it came to singing and her dancing wasn't so behind. she signed with an entertainment company at only 16 years old and has now been training for 5 years. she's also fully mastered the korean language as time went by and can perfectly pass as a native.
