  1. About Alignment Positions
  2. There's no real information about how to change your alignment on this wiki,
  3. so here there's going to be some information pertaining to that. The way it works is this:
  4. Making a LAW Choice = LAW [+X]
  5. Making a CHAOS Choice = CHAOS [+X]
  6.
  7. To figure out your current alignment, take your CHAOS points and subtract them from your LAW points. Any higher than 9, and you'll be LAW. Any lower than -9, and you'll be CHAOS.
  8.
  9. If you check every time you make a choice in-game, and add points appropriately, it should be easy to understand. (Though your own experience may differ)
  10.
  11. All choices lean to either CHAOS or LAW, and NEUTRAL choices are basically non-existent. Not only that, but CHAOS can go up to -100 and LAW can go up to +100, but NEUTRAL can only be between -8 and +8. So it's within an extremely narrow range.
  12.
  13. [For the sake of ease, text will follow an L/N/C abbreviation system]
  14.
  15. Some notes about the choices throughout the game:
  16. Shifting Alignments
  17. The battle with Issachar in Kiccigorgi
  18. For all choices before this battle, there's no change.
  19. Beating the Minotaur
  20. Your choices mid-battle don't matter, but you get C+5.
  21. Finishing off Dulahan grants C+1, not doing so grants L+1.
  22. At the Black Samurai's question in the village hall
  23. [Seems that way.] = L+1, [Doesn't seem that way.] = C+1, [I don't know.] = No Change
  24. This choice might be a slight issue. (?)
  25. In the battle with Tenkai
  26. The first question
  27. [With Order~] = L+1, [With Freedom~] = C+1
  28. Now, if your choices and current state match (i.e. currently at 0), then you will have to add 1 to something
  29. However, if you aren't, then you should go +1 in the opposite direction. For example, if you are currently leaning CHAOS or LAW then you should choose the opposite.
  30. At Tenkai's second question, saying [To reform things] = C+1, [To preserve things] = L+1
  31.
  32. Choosing a Route
  33. Going with Jonathan yields L+10, going with Walter yields C+10
  34.
  35. Jonathan's Route's Changes
  36. Defeating Lilith (Killing her?) = L+5
  37. At Walter's question at the Yamato Gate
  38. [I understand] = C+1, [I don't understand] = L+5
  39. Walter's Route's Changes
  40. “Assassinate the weapons of national defense” (Koga-Saburou, Michizane, Omoikane) = C+3
  41. Tayama's question: [That kind of thing~]
  42. [I think so.] = C+1, [I don't think so.] = L+5
  43. The battle with Yamato-Takeru has no effect, but pressing the button gives C+5, and you have no choice but to do so in order to proceed.
  44.
  45. Common Choices (both Jonathan and Walter)
  46. At the White Men's question: [Is there a reason humans are born?]
  47. [There is.] = C+1, [There isn't.] = No Change
  48. Walter's question inside the Shinjuku Shelter in Desert Tokyo
  49. [Let's get him before he gets us.] = No Change, [Let's wait and see.] = L+8
  50. This one may also be a slight issue.
  51. Showing the DSP to Kiyoharu
  52. [Show him] = L+3, [Don't show him] = C+3
  53. Accepting the quest from Akira “Expecting you, the saviors” = L+1
  54. Accepting the quest from the citizens “Please, exterminate the demons in Shibuya!” = L+5
  55. Walter's question in the battle with Pluto
  56. [There's no point in thinking about it.] = C+6, [It's alright if we stop and think] = C+4
  57. Pressing the switch after battling Yamato-Takeru in Shibuya = C+5
  58. In Infernal Kasumigaseki, telling Akira where you're from
  59. [Tokyo] = L+5, [East Kingdom of Mikado] = No Change
  60. Accepting the main quest from Akira “A favour in Shinjuku” = C+1
  61. Walter's question after the battle against 'Mahāmayuri' in Infernal Shinjuku
  62. [I want to go back] = No Change, [I don't want to go back] = C+6
  63. Walter's question at the Ichigaya SDF Camp: [It's strange, isn't it?]
  64. [It is strange.] = C+1, [It's not strange at all.] = L+5
  65.
  66. Before the Final Route Split
  67. [Preserve the status quo] = L+15, [Destroy the status quo] = C+5
  68. It may be that pressing the remote grants you L+5, so [Preservation] may as well be L+10, and [Destruction] may be C+10. (TL Note: not sure what this means)
  69.
  70. N-Route Strategy - “Nothing but the top choice”
  71. In the original thread on 2ch, there was a strategy on how to get the NEUTRAL route, that we have verified. Please use this as a reference. If you aren't familiar with it already, it's built on 5 main principles:
  72. Always pick the top choice
  73. At the Passage of Ethics, always pick left (Chaos)
  74. Go with Jonathan when you can
  75. At the last route split, pick [Destroy the status quo]
  76. Only complete main quests that are absolutely necessary (up until the route lock)
  77.
  78. Now, from the beginning you'll be at 0. After the first route split, if you pick every option and end up with C+1, that won't be sufficient. So, in that case you will have to go with [Eastern Kingdom of Mikado] when Akira asks where you're from. Other than that, always pick the top option.
  79.
  80. If you defeat Issachar in 2 turns or less, the choices for him in the battle won't appear.
  81. In that case, you'll have to be -5 just before the route split. All the top options will still be okay, though you can ignore the woman in Ikebukuro (though saying [Demons] is still okay) and still enter the NEUTRAL route. Saying [Demons] will give C+10.
