No matter how hard she tries her mother was never happy with what she did so she stopped trying. Ara became the dissapointment her mother expected. She started drinking, going to house parties to smoke, stopped studying, and did what she wanted. Her mother started to pretend she didn't exist and let her do what she wanted.
