  1. I'm going to skip the usual line-by-line check here, since I feel like there are more pressing issues. However, here are some things that stuck out while reading:
  2.
  3. [[collapsible show="+ Critique"]]
  4. * Your headers (such as Item Number, Description, etc) are not bolded properly. To bold things, do this:
  5.
  6. [[code]]
  7. **bold text**
  8. [[/code]]
  9.
  10. To get:
  11.
  12. > **bold text**
  13.
  14. * You describe how your anomaly //looks// in the Description, but not how it works. You should make sure the reader comes out of your Description knowing how your anomaly works and acts.
  15. * You expunge entire tests. This is a //really// bad idea for a myriad of reasons, but primarily because it messes with the flow of your SCP
  16. * If you want to do footnotes, use this syntax:
  17.
  18. [[code]]
  19. Just some ordinary text[[footnote]]Ah, but wait, there's more![[/footnote]].
  20. [[/code]]
  21.
  22. To get:
  23.
  24. > Just some ordinary text[[footnote]]Ah, but wait, there's more![[/footnote]].
  25. [[/collapsible]]
  26.
  27. I think the most pressing issue is the concept. In the end, the concept boils down to "book that makes things real but makes things invisible to the reader too." Generally, things that manifest other things by writing in them are poorly received on the wiki. I doubt that this idea would survive if it was posted.
  28.
  29. I'd recommend going to the [[[http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/c-89000/help:ideas-and-brainstorming|Ideas and Brainstorming]]] board and getting your idea, or possibly another idea, refined there. You'll come out with a concept that can be easily worked with.
  30.
  31. I'd also recommend reading the [[[http://www.scp-wiki.net/how-to-write-an-scp|How to Write an SCP]]] guide. It contains information about style and tone that you could probably apply to your future writing.

  33. Once you have a new draft, PM me for more critique!
