  1. Pokémon Stadium Complete Round 1 Route

  3. This route is the result of many people's efforts and it would not be possible without them, however to keep the intro short, they will all be named at the Credits section at the bottom. Thank you!
  4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  44. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45. GYM LEADER CASTLE
  46. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  47. Use Team 2 here
  48. ----------------
  49. BROCK - Pewter Gym
  50. ----------------
  51. Trainer 1
  52. ----------------
  53. Bug Boy: Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Butterfree
  54.
  55. Your Team: Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos
  56.
  57. ~Strategy~
  58. Lead Moltres and spam Fire Blast
  59.
  60. If you miss Fire Blast and Caterpie, Weedle, or Kakuna lands String Shot on you, Moltres will be slower than all of Bug Boy's Pokemon. While it isn't run ending, it does waste time. This also applies to Butterfree's Supersonic.
  61. ----------------
  62. Trainer 2
  63. ----------------
  64. Lad: Ekans, Zubat, Oddish, Paras, Gloom, Bulbasaur
  65.
  66. Your Team: Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos
  67.
  68. ~Strategy~
  69. Articuno is faster than all of his Pokemon and Ice Beam 1HKO's all of them, so this is the easiest fight in the run
  70.
  71. Alternatively, you can use Moltres' Fire Blast which does the same thing, but is ~2 seconds faster due to animation, but riskier due to 80%. Usually not worth it
  72. ----------------
  73. Trainer 3
  74. ----------------
  75. Junior ♂: FarFetch'd, Diglett, Pidgey, Dugtrio, Sandshrew, Geodude
  76.
  77. Your Team: Starmie, Articuno, Nidoking
  78.
  79. ~Strategy~
  80. Thunder the birds and Bubblebeam the Grounds
  81. ----------------
  82. Brock
  83. ----------------
  84. Brock: Onix, Graveler, Cubone, Vulpix, Omanyte, Kabuto
  85.
  86. Always has: Onix
  87.
  88. Your Team: Starmie, Articuno, Nidoking
  89.
  90. ~Strategy~
  91. Bubblebeam everything
  92. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93. Use Team 1 here
  94. ----------------
  95. MISTY - Cerulean Gym
  96. ----------------
  97. Trainer 1
  98. ----------------
  99. Fisher: Squirtle, Poliwag, Magikarp, Wartortle, Seaking, Tentacool
  100.
  101. Your Team: Zapdos, Jolteon, Electrode
  102.
  103. ~Strategy~
  104. Zapdos' Thunder will plow through this team with ease
  105.
  106. Poliwag a dick because if you miss Thunder, it will use Hypnosis causing you to fall asleep. It will then spam Amnesia to raise it's Special, which wastes a ton of unnecessary time. So just RNG manip Thunder to always hit Kappa
  107. ----------------
  108. Trainer 2
  109. ----------------
  110. Junior ♀: Pidgey, Seadra, Kadabra, Voltorb, Diglett, Jigglypuff
  111.
  112. Your Team: Electrode, Jolteon, Articuno
  113.
  114. ~Strategy~
  115. This is the first bullshit trainer of the run.
  116.
  117. Lead with Electrode
  118. If Seadra or Pidgey, Thunder.
  119. If Voltorb, Swift + Selfdestruct
  120. If anything not listed above: Selfdestruct
  121.
  122. After Electrode faints, bring in Articuno if Seadra was lead, otherwise, bring in Jolteon
  123.
  124. If Arti is out, Ice Beam everything
  125.
  126. If Jolteon is out, Thunder anything that isn't Diglett. If you get Diglett while doing this strat, I'm so sorry. Double Kick it and pray. Or switch in Arti if you don't think you can crit (It's a 2-Hit with the crit)
  127. ----------------
  128. Trainer 3
  129. ----------------
  130. Swimmer: Meowth, Goldeen, Mankey, Omanyte, Clefairy, Poliwhirl
  131.
  132. Your Team: Jolteon, Zapdos, Electrode
  133.
  134. ~Strategy~
  135. Spam Thunder with all of your Pokemon
  136.
  137. Clefairy is special because it takes 2 Thunders to kill. However, you can alternatively Double Kick after Thunder for 100% chance of kill, but it wastes around 3 seconds due to animation.
  138. ----------------
  139. Gym Leader
  140. ----------------
  141. Misty: Starmie, Horsea, Psyduck, Blastoise, Staryu, Seel
  142.
  143. Always has: Starmie
  144.
  145. Your Team: Jolteon, Zapdos, Electrode
  146.
  147. ~Strategy~
  148. For all of your Pokemon, just spam Thunder and hope you don't miss
  149.
  150. If you miss Staryu, it will try to lower your Special because of Psychic and if it does, you won't be able to 1HKO Blastoise
  151. If you miss Starmie, it will Paralyze you, and run is pretty much GG
  152. If you miss/don't 1HKO Blastoise, it will use Dig and Jolteon will live unless it crits, so you better pray
  153. Everything else is no threat and an easy 1HKO with Thunder
  154. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155. Use Team 3 here
  156. ----------------
  157. SURGE - Vermillion Gym
  158. ----------------
  159. Trainer 1
  160. ----------------
  161. Sailor: Machop, Krabby, Shellder, Golduck, Spearow, Slowpoke
  162.
  163. Your Team: Zapdos, Starmie, Articuno
  164.
  165. ~Strategy~
  166. Spam Thunder with Zapdos first, and then Starmie just in case
  167.
  168. If you miss Shelder, it will explode and if it crits your Zapdos is dead. Starmie is your back-up after that.
  169. ----------------
  170. Trainer 2
  171. ----------------
  172. Rocker: Porygon, Voltorb, Electrode, Pikachu, Electabuzz, Magnemite
  173.
  174. Your Team: Nidoking, Dugtrio, Starmie
  175.
  176. ~Strategy~
  177. Spam Nidoking's Earthquake
  178.
  179. Porygon will take 2 Earthquakes with a good damage roll, or 3 regardless. If Porygon kills you, or Pikachu with it's Seismic Toss, Clean up with Dugtrio's Dig
  180. ----------------
  181. Trainer 3
  182. ----------------
  183. Old Man: Ponyta, Nidoran, Charmander, Growlithe, Charmeleon
  184.
  185. Your Team: Nidoking, Dugtrio, Metapod
  186.
  187. ~Strategy~
  188. Again, spam Nidoking's Earthquake
  189.
  190. Really easy and straightforward fight. You outspeed everything but Ponyta
  191. ----------------
  192. Gym Leader
  193. ----------------
  194. Surge: Raichu, Pikachu, Magnemite, Magneton, Voltorb, Electrode
  195.
  196. Always has: Raichu
  197.
  198. Your Team: Nidoking, Articuno, Dugtrio
  199.
  200. ~Strategy~
  201. Surge used to kill roughly 40% of all runs past Misty. Not anymore OpieOP
  202.
  203. Lead Nidoking. If he leads Voltorb or Electrode, switch to Articuno. Otherwise Earthquake
  204.
  205. After the Selfdestruct or Explosion, if he sends out Magneton, hit him with Ice Beam. Otherwise immediately switch to Nidoking and Earthquake.
  206.
  207. If Raichu crits Surf on Nidoking, there's a 99.9% chance Nido is dead. Send out Dugtrio and Dig. You can still win. The run isn't dead. Hooray
  208. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  209. Use Team 2 here
  210. ----------------
  211. ERIKA - Celadon Gym
  212. ----------------
  213. Trainer 1
  214. ----------------
  215. Lass: Paras, Eevee, Rattata, Cubone, Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff
  216. KABUTOPS: ^HYDRO PUMP
  217. Your Team: Kabutops, Articuno, Nidoking <TAKE DOWN >SWORDS DANCE
  218. vSUBMISSION
  219. ~Strategy~
  220. The goal here is to set up one Swords Dance with Kabutops on Jiggly/Rattata/Eevee then sweep Lass's team with Submission, Take Down, and Hydro Pump.
  221.
  222. Jigglypuff, Rattata, and Eevee all have some way of screwing you over:
  223. Jigglypuff has to potential to freeze you with Ice Beam
  224. Rattata can paralyze you with Thunder
  225. Eevee is probably the worst of the three as it can use both Double Team and Sand Attack (you better hope they use Quick Attack)
  226.
  227. While this fight is very simple and straight-forward, it is not without it's nuances. Between Take Down, Submission, and Hydro Pump, Kabutops is attacking with 80% - 85% accuracy moves. One miss could screw you over and hurt your run. Worst case scenario, Kabutops dies in which case bring Articuno to clean up with 1-3HKOs
  228. ----------------
  229. Trainer 2
  230. ----------------
  231. Beauty: Staryu, Seaking, Dratini, Rhyhorn, Doduo, Pidgeotto
  232.
  233. Your Team: Zapdos, Nidoking, Articuno
  234.
  235. ~Strategy~
  236. Lead Zapdos and Thunder everything besides Rhyhorn and Dratini. If you get anything else besides Seaking, switch to Nidoking
  237.
  238. Nidoking IS faster than Dratini (and Pidgeotto, Rhyhorn, Seaking, and Doduo) so if you wanna Yolodrill you can, but Dratini's a 2-hit with Earthquake sooo, yeah.
  239. ----------------
  240. Trainer 3
  241. ----------------
  242. Cool Girl: Marowak, Chansey, Parasect, Nidorina, Nidorino, Lickitung
  243.
  244. Your Team: Nidoking, Kabutops, Articuno
  245.
  246. ~Strategy~ (The normal way)
  247. This is an interesting fight. Chansey has access to the 55% accuracy sleep move "Sing". While this move seemingly has low accuracy, the AI being the AI, Sing will normally land and your Pokemon will helplessly fall asleep. Don't fall asleep.
  248.
  249. Nidoking
  250. If Chansey, Nidorina, Nidorino, or Lickitung, Earthquake
  251. If Marowak or Parasect, switch into Arti and Ice Beam
  252.
  253. Once Nidoking or Arti is asleep, swap out to Kabutops and set up a Swords Dance. Chansey shouldn't use Sing here.
  254.
  255. Kabutops
  256. If Chansey and Lickitung, Submission
  257. If Parasect, Nidorino, or Nidorina, Take Down
  258. If Marowak, Hydro Pump
  259.
  260. If Cool Trainer doesn't have Chansey, the battle is much simpler. Both Articuno and Nidoking can 1-2HKO all of Cool Trainer's team with their respective STAB moves.
  261.
  262. ~Strategy~ (The "I fucking hate this trainer" way)
  263. Nidoking
  264. If Parasect, Lickitung, or Chansey, Horn Drill
  265. If Marowak, Nidorina, and Nidorino, Earthquake
  266.
  267. When/if Nidoking dies, send out Articuno and clean up with Ice Beam
  268. ----------------
  269. Gym Leader
  270. ----------------
  271. Erika: Gloom, Victreebel, Tangela, Vileplume, Weepinbell, Exeggcute
  272.
  273. Always has: Gloom
  274.
  275. Your Team: Moltres, Articuno, Nidoking
  276.
  277. ~Strategy~
  278. Spam Moltres' Fire Blast
  279.
  280. You don't want to have Tangela and Weepinbell, and preferably not Vileplume too. Tangela and Weepinbell have Wrap and Stun Spore so a missed Fire Blast can leave Moltres paralyzed and susceptible to Wrap stall; Which is the last thing you want. If that happens bring in Articuno to clean up. Vileplume has Sleep Powder just like Gloom, so be careful
  281.
  282. Erika is simple but dangerous. One missed Fire Blast and your run could be over.
  283. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  284. Use Team 4 here
  285. ----------------
  286. KOGA - Fuchsia Gym
  287. ----------------
  288. Trainer 1
  289. ----------------
  290. Biker: Koffing, Weezing, Grimer, Venonat, Ditto, Tentacool
  291.
  292. Your Team: Mr. Mime, Articuno, Jynx
  293.
  294. ~Strategy~
  295. Spam Psychic to win. Excluding Ditto, everything is an OHKO
  296.
  297. For Ditto, Psychic him once and then Seismic Toss to finish him off. Remember that Seismic Toss only does 50 damage since Mr. Mime is level 50. If Ditto has more than 50 HP after a Psychic, Psychic him again. Otherwise, Seismic Toss for the kill
  298. ----------------
  299. Trainer 2
  300. ----------------
  301. Tamer: Kingler, Sandslash, Scyther, Ivysaur, Weepinbell, Machoke
  302.
  303. Suggested Team: Articuno, Zapdos, Jynx
  304.
  305. ~Strategy~
  306. Lead with Articuno and Ice Beam everything. Kingler is a 3HKO with Ice Beam, Machoke is a 2HKO. Scyther outspeeds Arti, but is a 1HKO.
  307. ----------------
  308. Trainer 3
  309. ----------------
  310. Juggler: Drowzee, Kadabra, Mr. Mime, Hypno, Abra, Slowbro
  311.
  312. Suggested Team: Electrode, Tauros, Zapdos
  313.
  314. ~Strategy~
  315. Lead Electrode and Thunder Slowbro, and Mr. Mime and Selfdestruct the others
  316.
  317. Then, after Electrode is gone, bring in Zapdos and Thunder the rest of his team.
  318. ----------------
  319. Gym Leader
  320. ----------------
  321. Koga: Muk, Weezing, Nidorina, Nidorino, Venonat, Venomoth
  322.
  323. Suggested Team: Jynx, Electrode, Mr. Mime
  324.
  325. ~Strategy~
  326. Psychic everything situation. If Jynx dies on anyone but Venemoth, switch into Mr. Mime (who's in a speed tie with Venemoth), but if Jynx dies on Venemoth, go into Electrode and Thunder or Selfdestruct
  327. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  328. Use Team 5 here
  329. ----------------
  330. SABRINA - Saffron Gym
  331. ----------------
  332. Trainer 1
  333. ----------------
  334. Cueball: Machop, Mankey, Dragonair, Primeape, Rhyhorn, Dewgong
  335.
  336. Suggested Team: Jynx, Articuno, Nidoking
  337.
  338. ~Strategy~
  339. Lead with Jynx. Psychic Machop, Mankey, Primeape, and Dewgong. Ice Punch Rhyhorn and Dragonair.
  340. ----------------
  341. Trainer 2
  342. ----------------
  343. Burglar ("It's this Pyro prick again" -Pokehero): Vulpix, Ponyta, Rapidash, Growlithe, Ninetales, Charmeleon
  344.
  345. Suggested Team: Nidoking, Tauros, Zapdos
  346.
  347. ~Strategy~
  348. Plow through this team with Nidoking. Unless Rapidash's Horn Drill takes you out, this should be an easy fight. If Horn Drill hits, bring in Tauros and Strength everything.
  349. ----------------
  350. Trainer 3
  351. ----------------
  352. Medium: Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Golbat, Lickitung, Tentacruel
  353.
  354. Suggested Team: Jynx, Nidoking, Zapdos.
  355.
  356. ~Strategy~
  357. Lead with Jynx. Psychic everything.
  358.
  359. If Jynx dies on Haunter or Gengar, bring in Nidoking to finish with Earthquake. Otherwise, send in Zapdos and use Thunder a lot.
  360. ----------------
  361. Gym Leader
  362. ----------------
  363. Sabrina: Alakazam, Jynx, Exeggutor, Hypno, Mr. Mime, Kadabra
  364.
  365. Always has: Alakazam
  366.
  367. Suggested Team: Articuno, Tauros, Electrode
  368.
  369. ~Strategy~
  370. Sabrina has 4 possible leads: Exeggutor, Hypno, Mr. Mime, and Alakazam.
  371.
  372. Lead Arti. Ice Beam Hypno, Mr. Mime, and Exeggutor. Mr. Mime and Exeggutor are 2-HKOs. Hypno is a 3HKO but likes to use the Hypnosis to Dream Eater combo. If Hypno sleeps Articuno, swap to Tauros and finish him off with Strength. It should be a 2-3HKO depending on how much damage Articuno dealt to him.
  373.
  374. Tauros' Strength can 2HKO Alakazam and 1-HKO Kadabra.
  375.
  376. Electrode's Selfdestruct does not OHKO the Mr. Mime
  377.
  378. Switch into Electrode if Jynx comes out. One of two things will happen here. Jynx will either use Lovely Kiss or Ice Punch. What move Jynx uses depends on the status of the Pokemon you switched out of. Optimally, Articuno or Tauros will get Poisoned by Alakazam or Exeggutor somewhere along the battle and force Jynx to use Ice Punch on Electrode
  379. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  380. Use Team 6 here
  381. ----------------
  382. BLAINE - Cinnabar Gym
  383. ----------------
  384. Trainer 1
  385. ----------------
  386. Judoboy: Primeape, Machoke, Machamp, Hitmonlee, Nidoking, Raticate
  387.
  388. Suggested Team: Jynx, Articuno, Nidoking
  389.
  390. ~Strategy~
  391. Jynx's Psychic will devastate this trainer's team
  392. ----------------
  393. Trainer 2
  394. ----------------
  395. Psychic: Jynx, Slowbro, Starmie, Poliwrath, Alakazam, Hypno
  396.
  397. Suggested Team: Zapdos, Articuno, Jolteon
  398.
  399. ~Strategy~
  400. This fight is slightly annoying due to the general nature of Psychic types in Gen 1.
  401.
  402. Lead with Zapdos. Thunder everything in sight except for Hypno, and with Hypno set up a Substitute before spamming Thunder to protect yourself from Hypnosis
  403.
  404. Alternatively, you can allow Zapdos to be put to sleep and switch to Articuno and Ice Beam for a 2-3HKO. However, this effectively disables Zapdos for the remainder of the fight and is generally not recommended as there are likely other Water types still in reserve on his team
  405. ----------------
  406. Trainer 3
  407. ----------------
  408. Nerd: Golem, Muk, Cloyster, Snorlax, Exeggutor, Electrode
  409.
  410. Suggested Team: Zapdos, Articuno, Nidoking
  411.
  412. ~Strategy~
  413. This is a very odd fight. All of Nerd's Pokemon can and will spontaneously combust without any warning. To shield yourself from witnessing this horrifying experience, you're going to hide and cry behind little dolls until everything is over.
  414.
  415. Lead off with Zapdos. The basic plan for this fight is to use Substitute on Nerd's first two Pokemon and then swap to an appropriate Pokemon to finish off the third. All of his Pokemon know and use Explosion/Selfdestruct.
  416.
  417. If Cloyster or Snorlax
  418. Keep in Zapdos and use Thunder
  419.
  420. If Exeggutor
  421. Switch to Articuno and use Ice Beam
  422.
  423. If Golem, Muk, or Electrode
  424. Switch to Nidoking and use Earthquake
  425. ----------------
  426. Gym Leader
  427. ----------------
  428. Blaine: Magmar, Arcanine, Rapidash, Charizard, Clefable, Kangaskhan
  429. VAPOREON ^ACID ARMOR
  430. Always has: Charizard <QUICK ATTACK >AURORA BEAM
  431. vSURF
  432. Suggested Team: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Nidoking
  433.
  434. ~Strategy~
  435. Lead with Vaporeon and spam Surf. Good damage rolls are great because they allow Vaporeon to clean up with Quick attack (Keep in mind Quick Attack from Vaporeon only does about 14-17 damage soooo) Vaporeon will kill everything minus Clefable in 1-2 hits with Surf.
  436.
  437. Keep Vaporeon in until it dies except if Rapidash comes out, try Surf once. If Rapidash uses Fire Spin and connects, switch to Jolteon to kill.
  438.
  439. If Kangaskahn comes out, use Surf unless Vaporeon has 126 HP or less. In that case, use Quick Attack to do a few extra damage. Then, bring in Nidoking and use Earthquake. Let him faint before switching into Jolteon to finish it off with Double Kick. If Nido gets crited, use Jolteon's Thunder and hope for the best.
  440.
  441. If Vaporeon is KO'd on Rapidash
  442. Bring in Jolteon and spam Thunder
  443.
  444. If Vaporeon is KO'd against anyhting else
  445. Bring in Nidoking and spam Earthquake (NIDOKING IS NOT FASTER THAN KANGA)
  446. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  447. Use Team 1 here
  448. ----------------
  449. GIOVANNI - Viridian Gym (Also known as, Electrode: Taking one for the team)
  450. ----------------

  454.
  455. Your Team: Electrode, Jolteon, Articuno
  456.
  457. ~Strategy~
  458. This fight isn't too difficult. The battle plan here is to lead with Electrode and Thunder or Selfdestruct depending on his lead
  459.
  460. Thunder Dodrio, Golbat, Moltres, and Persian. Moltres and Persian are 2HKOs; while the first 2 are 1HKOs
  461.
  462. Selfdestruct on Parasect, and Raticate. Neither of these will be a 1HKO without a crit.
  463.
  464. If you Selfdestruct and lose Electrode, bring in Articuno and spam Ice Beam. Jolteon is back-up if you lose Articuno

  469.
  470. Your Team: Electrode, Jolteon, Nidoking
  471.
  472. ~Strategy~
  473. This fight is really silly. Every Pokemon here has Double Team and abuses whenever they can. So be careful
  474.
  475. Lead with Electrode. Like the previous fight, Thunder or Selfdestruct depending on what Pokemon are out.
  476.
  477. IF HE LEADS MAGNETON, SWITCH TO NIDOKING AND EARTHQUAKE
  478.
  479. Nidoking is not faster than Fearow
  480.
  481. For this fight, you'll want to Thunder Fearow, Kabutops, Hitmonchan, and Poliwrath and Selfdestruct on Lickitung. If Hitmonchan lives a Thunder, finish him off with Swift.
  482.
  483. Jolteon 1HKOs Kabutops, Fearow, and Poliwrath with Thunder. He also 2-HKOs Lickitung with a Thunder -> Double Kick combo.

  487. Cool Guy: Pinsir, Omastar, Dodrio, Clefable, Tentacruel, Zapdos
  488.
  489. Suggested Team: Electrode, Zapdos, Articuno
  490.
  491. ~Strategy~
  492. Lead with Electrode. Selfdestruct Pinsir. Thunder Omastar, Dodrio, Tentacruel, and Zapdos (If he leads Zapstor, Thunder as much as you can, and then Selfdestruct when you're close to dying. If he leads Clefable, Thunder, then Swift, then Selfdestruct)
  493.
  494. Zapdos can handle Clefable and Pinsir with Thunder. With Zapstor, it's a hard battle. Zapdos on Zapdos action. Set up a Substitute then spam Thunders until he dies. You just want good luck.
  495.
  496. It is possible Zapdos still dies, so Articuno is your backup. Spam Ice Beam and pray against his team.
  497.
  498. If he doesn't have Zapstor, this battle is much simpler. Good job.

  504. Always has: Persian

  506. Your Team: Articuno, Nidoking, Jynx
  507.
  508. ~Strategy~
  509. Lead with Articuno and spam Ice Beam until you get KO'd. If Arti dies on Persian/Tauros, bring in Nidoking to sweep the rest of his team with Earthquake. If Arti gets KO'd on anything else, bring in Jynx to spam Psychic (except on Dugtrio and Rhyhorn) Nidoking can survive a non-crit Dugtrio Dig.
  510.
  511. Nidoqueen is 2HKO'd by Ice Beam and Psychic. Nidoking is 1HKOd by Ice Beam and 2HKOd by Psychic. Rhydon is 1HKOd by Ice Beam and 2HKOd by Ice Punch. Dugtrio is 1HKOd by Ice Beam and 1-2HKOd by Ice Punch.

  522.
  523. ~Strategy~
  524. Articuno and Jynx are 2HKOs with Thunder, Dewgong is a damage roll, and everything else is a guaranteed 1HKO with Thunder
  525.
  526. If Zapdos dies, bring in Jolteon then Electrode

  533.
  534. ~Strategy~
  535. Bruno is the easiest of the Elite 4. Lead with Articuno and spam Ice Beam. Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan are damage rolls, and Machamp is a 2HKO. EZPZ

  540.
  541. Suggested Team: Jynx, Articuno, Nidoking
  542.
  543. ~Strategy~
  544. Gengar lead is good because it'll just use Bide, which gives a great amount of time to kill with Psychic
  545.
  546. Everything is a 2HKO with Psychic except for Arbok which is a damage roll
  547.
  548. Haunter is a bitch, it will fuck you up with Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, and Dream Eater. So please get lucky
  549.
  550. But essentially just spam Psychic and pray
  551.
  552. Jynx is here to fulfill all of your needs. Need a reliable and stress free way to deal with Agatha? Jynx is your Pokemon. Need a Pokemon to help make Bruno even easier? Jynx is there for you. 556. Lance: Gyarados, Dragonair, Charizard, Lapras, Aerodactyl, Kangaskhan
  557.
  558. Suggested Team: Jolteon, Zapdos, Electrode
  559.
  560. ~Strategy~ (Consistent way)
  561. Lead Jolteon. They key is to spam Thunder on everything and hope you get lucky. Jolteon 2HKOs Kangaskhan and Lapras, but with Lapras, you can Thunder once, and if Lapras has 40 or less HP, you can Double Kick for the KO. Jolteon can survive 2 Blizzards (usually), and outspeeds everything except Aerodactyl. If Dragonair leads/comes out, use Thunder twice and the second time, Dragonair should Wrap you. After it hits you, switch to Zapdos.
  562.
  563. When Zapdos goes out against Dragonair, use Substitute
  564.
  565. When Zapdos comes out on Dragonair (If Jolteon dies, you send out Zapdos as a back-up to Thunder everything), repeatedly Thunder while setting up a Substitute, or you can Sky Attack (the riskier, but usually faster option) and kill after burning a turn and KO his worst Pokemon. Everything else is a 1-2HKO with Thunder.
  566.
  567. Electrode is there for really back-up incase something goes horribly wrong.
  568.
  569. Suggested Team: Articuno, Jolteon, Zapdos
  570.
  571. ~Strategy~ (Faster way)
  572. Lead with Articuno. If Lance leads with anything but Lapras, Ice Beam. Once you see Lapras, swap out of Articuno and go into Zapdos. Lapras should hit Zapdos with a T-Bolt on the switch-in. The goal here is to have Zapdos low on HP when Dragonair comes in. This will make Dragonair use Ice Beam instead of T-Wave -> Wrap allowing you to predict Ice Beam and swap into Arti to retaliate with an Ice Beam of your own for the KO. From here on out, you should be able to take care of Lance with Thunder/Ice Beam spam.
  573.
  574. Alternatively, Lance may not even have Lapras or Dragonair, or not have either of them at all. If this happens, stay in with Articuno and Ice Beam Lance's lead. His team shouldn't really be a problem. Worst case scenario, Lance doesn't have Lapras and instead has a surprise Dragonair with a Kangaskhan lead. Since Arti is usually KOd by Kangaskhan, Dragonair will get to have it's way with you. To avoid this, feel free to swap to Jolteon against Kangaskhan lead and Thunder it. Then go into Zapdos and finish him with Thunder. The rest of the battle should be fairly easy.

  578. Rival: Electabuzz, Exeggutor, Clefable, Slowbro, Ninetales, Pinsir
  579.
  580. Suggested Team: Nidoking, Zapdos, Articuno
  581.
  582. ~Strategy~
  583. This fight is bizarre. But there are some strats to use on each Pokemon
  584.
  585. Electabuzz: Sets up a Reflect first turn. Earthquake becomes a 2HKO (cannot Horn Drill)
  586.
  587. Ninetales: Digs when you have Nidoking out. OHKO with good damage rolled Earthquake, but usually a 2HKO (cannot Horn Drill)
  588.
  589. Slowbro: Thunder with Zapdos (Can Horn Drill)
  590.
  591. Exeggutor: Ice Beam with Articuno [2HKO], Sky Attack with Zapdos [OHKO] (CAN Horn Drill)
  592.
  593. Pinsir: Ice Beam with Articuno [2HKO], Thunder with Zapdos [2HKO] (CAN Horn Drill)
  594.
  595. Clefable: Ice Beam with Articuno [2-3HKO], Thunder with Zapdos [2-3HKO] (CAN Horn Drill)
  596.
  597. Note: Rival's team is built in such a way that you cannot prepare for all of it with one lead and 2 backup Pokemon. So take some chances and show off your own personal skill here. Good luck!

  682.
  683. Your Team: Sandshrew, Horsea, Gastly
  684.
  685. ~Strategy~
  686. This fight is only hard if he has Dratini. That's because Dratini knows Dragon Rage which always does 40 damage.
  687.
  688. Lead Sandshrew and Dig the Nidos(OHKOs), Sandshrew(2-3HKO), and Dratini(2HKO). Otherwise switch into Gastly and Thunder (Psyduck) or Mega Drain (Omanyte)
  689.
  690. Horsea knows Ice Beam which can take out most of Dratini's HP in one hit but does not OHKO. Only use Horsea if Sandshrew or Gastly die and you have to switch into a new Pokemon (that being Horsea)
  691.
  692. You just wanna keep Horsea's and Gastly HP up. So using Confuse Ray and Night Shade is a good way to do chip damage while staying alive.

  767. Starmie lead and Thunder everything. Even the Arcanine as it'll very likely switch so you can get a free Super Effective hit in.
  768.
  769. When Tentacruel comes out, set up a Substitute and spam Thunders, but making sure you have a Substitute on at all times to avoid getting Wrapped. You might also want to Paralyze if you have Raichu out
  770.
  771. Overall this fight is just using strong moves to win, which means Electric moves and Super Effective moves to push your way through

  780. Not only is that Dragonair illegal because of it's level, it's a piece of shit knowing Dragon Rage, Double Team, Wrap, and Thunder Wave. Leading Raichu and Thunder Waving it 1st turn asssures a Lapras kill after you get off a couple Seismic Tosses. Thunder everything else 1st turn.
  781.
  782. When Lapras is out, Ice Beam everything. Haunter is there for back up. It's Thunderbolts and Night Shades can definitely kill off their last Pokemon

1405. Self-explanatory otherwise: Bubblebeam Golem, Rapidash, Nidoking, and Clefable, Thunder Dewgong, and Pinsir
  1406.
1407. Kadabra can help you out if Starmie gets unlucky

  1412.
1413. Your Team: Kadabra, Articuno, Zapdos
  1414.
  1415. ~Strategy~
1416. Another "Spam Psyschic to win" kind of fight. Nothing noteworthy here
  1417.
1418. Articuno is a useful backup; spam Ice Beam to win
  1419. ---------------------
  1420. Trainer 6
  1421. ---------------------
1422. Birdboy: Dodrio, Charizard, Pidgeot, Golbat, Zapdos, Gengar

  1425.
  1426. ~Strategy~
  1427. Thunder to win
  1428.
1429. The Gengar can Confuse you and put you to sleep so be prepared to switch if you need to

1433. Lab Man: Electabuzz, Vaporeon, Persian, Dugtrio, Kabutops, Exeggutor
  1434.
1435. Your Team: Zapdos, Articuno, Starmie
  1436.
  1437. ~Strategy~
1438. A very diverse team means some switching is gonna happen
  1439.
1440. Have Zapdos start off with a Thunder (except for Dugtrio) then Flash on Electabuzz or just switch to Articuno (for Electabuzz and Exeggutor) or Starmie (for Dugtrio) and just switch around to get the best matchups
  1441. ---------------------
  1442. Trainer 8
  1443. ---------------------
1444. Cool♂: Jolteon, Ninetales, Slowbro, Dragonite, Aerodactyl, Snorlax
  1445.
1446. Your Team: Zapdos, Nidoking, Starmie
  1447.
  1448. ~Strategy~
1449. Zapdos lead here to protect yourself and set up a good first turn
  1450.
1451. Nidoking can EQ Jolteon and Ninetales and Horn Drill Slowbro, Dragonite, and Snorlax so plan accordingly
  1452.
1453. Starmie will Thunder to win here (excluding the Ninetales) and should really only be the last resort or in case of Aerodactyl
  1454. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1455. Use Team 2 here

  1471.
1472. Your Team: Articuno, Starmie, Jynx
  1473.
  1474. ~Strategy~
1475. Switch to Jynx if their Jynx comes out and Body Slam them. If you get put to sleep, bring in Starmie to finish it off with Thunder.
  1476.
1477. Switch back into Articuno later if Starmie gets destroyed/Victreebel comes out
  1478. ---------------------
  1479. Trainer 3
  1480. ---------------------
1481. Judoboy: Machamp, Scyther, Hitmonlee, Primeape, Nidoking, Jolteon
  1482.
1483. Your Team: Jynx, Articuno, Nidoking
  1484.
  1485. ~Strategy~
1486. Psychic Machamp, Hitmonless, Primeape, and Jolteon and Ice Punch Nidoking and Scyther
  1487.
1488. If Jynx faints, Articuno should do pretty well finishing with Ice Beam and Nidoking is for the Jolteon as backup
  1489. ---------------------
  1490. Trainer 4
  1491. ---------------------
1492. Gambler: Tauros, Slowbro, Dugtrio, Blastoise, Arbok, Dragonite
  1493.
1494. Your Team: Jynx, Articuno, Starmie
  1495.
  1496. ~Strategy~
1497. Welp, he finally taught all of his Pokemon OHKO moves. Good for him (I didn't even know Dragonite could learn Horn Drill)
  1498.
1499. Psychic Tauros, Blaistoise, and Arbok and Ice Punch Dugtrio and Dragonite
  1500.
1501. For Slowbro, switch into Starmie and Thunder
  1502.
1503. You can easily get destroyed by RNG here. Everything except for Dragonite knows Fissure and it and Tauros know Horn Drill (Yes Tauros knows both). Articuno can act as a safety net for anti-Fissures later into the fight. You might need to get fairly lucky in order to win. Good luck
  1504. ---------------------
  1505. Trainer 5
  1506. ---------------------
1507. Cool♀: Starmie, Dewgong, Omastar, Poliwrath, Venusaur, Exeggutor
  1508.
1509. Your Team: Zapdos, Articuno, Starmie
  1510.
  1511. ~Strategy~
1512. Thunder the waters, Sky Attack/Ice Beam the grasses
  1513.
  1514. Simple stuff

  1516. Trainer 6
  1517. ---------------------
1518. Birdboy: Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, Charizard, Pidgeot, Fearow
  1519.
1520. Your Team: Zapdos, Starmie, Articuno
  1521.
  1522. ~Strategy~
1523. He's got the legendary birds, but he got rid of Gengar so this fight is actually easier, nice
  1524.
  1525. Thunder to win
  1526. Ice Beam to win
  1527. ---------------------
  1528. Trainer 7
  1529. ---------------------
1530. Lab Man: Alakazam, Ditto, Gengar, Rapidash, Lapras, Raichu
  1531.
1532. Your Team: Starmie, Rhydon, Nidoking
  1533.
  1534. ~Strategy~
  1535. Man just.....fuck this Alakazam
  1536.
1537. Starmie lead helps to combat most matchups except for Raichu so Bubblebeam Ditto and Rapidash, and Thunder everything else
  1538.
1539. For the Raichu, switch into Nidoking to take the T-Wave then Earthquake
  1540.
1541. When Alakazam comes out, just try to do as much damage as possible Rhydon can't quite kill Alakazam in one hit without a crit, so all damage is good to have on Alakazam
  1542.
1543. With no Alakazam, this fight is pretty easy. Pull out Pokemon for good type advantages so Earthquake, Bubblebeam and Thunder to win
  1544. ---------------------
  1545. Trainer 8
  1546. ---------------------
1547. Cool♂: Mew, Electrode, Snorlax, Cloyster, Rhydon, Arcanine
  1548.
1549. Your Team: Jynx, Rhydon, Starmie
  1550.
  1551. ~Strategy~
1552. Mew is a dick, pass it on
  1553.
1554. Have Jynx put Mew to sleep if it leads, switch to Rhydon if Electrode lead, and switch to Starmie for Arcanine lead or just spam Psychic on Snorlax and Cloyster and Ice Punch Rhydon
  1555.
1556. Nidoking is not faster than Mew
  1557.
1558. After Mew is asleep, Ice Punch it and put it to sleep again after it wakes up and repeat cycle
  1559.
1560. Rhydon can use Fissure to insta the Snorlax
  1561.
1562. This fight isn't too bad besides Mew. The Hyper Beams are bad but Rhydon and Starmie does a pretty good job of tanking those, and Starmie can take out Cloyster and Arcanine pretty well
  1563.
1564. Good luck (you're gonna need it)
  1565. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1566. MEWTWO
  1567. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1568. Pokemon Team: Nidoking, Diglett, Ponyta, Dewgong, Kingler, Electrode
  1569. ---------------------
  1570. Mewtwo
  1571. ---------------------
1572. Your Team: Electrode, Everyone else
  1573.
  1574. ~Strategy~
1575. Lead Electrode and Paralyze. Then switch into Dewgong and start spamming OHKO attacks with Pokemon until victory
  1576.
1577. And that's it! Timing ends when the Pokemon Stadium Logo appears after beating Mewtwo! Congratulations!
