  1. We begin!
  2. We join our heroes bruised and wounded in the great wastes. A fierce fight has led to a fiercer negoiation.
  3. Slavers have taken afew items, alittle cash, and a jeep from you in exchange for not finishing you off.
  4.
  5. Clayton: (( Did we want to go with the idea of Clayton showing up, or the team limping back to Deep City where he finds out? ))
  6.
  7. Cas Hutson: ((I was thinking of going back to Deep City))
  8.
  9. Martin Baron: ( I'm good with either or )
  10.
  11. Claudius Silvanus: (( Good with either ))
  12.
  13. Martin Baron: ( Limp back then? )
  14.
  15. You decide to limp back to deep city for a 12 gauge slug removal.
  16.
  17. Martin Baron: ( Meanwhile, in the Legion of Doom )
  18.
  19. GM (GM): (Nanananana...na.)
  20. You have returned to the nearest colony, deep city.
  21.
  22. Martin Baron: ( GRUNDY WANT PANTS )
  23.
  24. M. Walker spends her time aboard Herschel in stern silence. That incident cut her deep.
  25.
  26. Claudius Silvanus rubs the spot where the bullet hit him. "I can walk this off, but I think you fellas need proper care."
  27.
  28. Clayton has been reviewing his gear while the group scouted ahead.
  29.
  30. Cas Hutson remain upset as he keeps close to the group, rethinking his choice over sticking with them in the first place.
  31.
  32. Clayton spots the group limping in, none doing well for wear "What the hell happened?"
  33.
  34. GM (GM): Proceed to obtain medical aid?
  35.
  36. Martin Baron consistently presses his hand against the stab wounds, blood still seeping from them.
  37.
  38. Martin Baron: ( Yep. )
  39.
  40. Claudius Silvanus: The moose spots the bandaged man "These are your friends? Cause we got hit by slavers pretty bad."
  41.
  42. Clayton frowns. "Really? Hoe did that happen?" He doesn't seem to care who the moose is.
  43.
  44. GM (GM): (Probably should move him to the token layer, huh?)
  45. ((Before we continue:https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9zUbKbVjWUBcTRWdDZqaTN1bXc ))
  46.
  47. Cas Hutson: (( Hm?))
  48.
  49. Martin Baron speaks up, "We... I was buying information from him... Asked if I wanted slaves. I wanted to get them free but... God almighty, they #$(%@) us up."
  50.
  51. Claudius Silvanus looks down at Clay "We traversed outside of the colony and the first thing we meet is a shady trader... then the hare here stabbed him and all hell broke loose."
  52.
  53. GM (GM): ((Additions: Shmooze has been changed, a tackle melee attack has been added. And all that stuff about dittos, and examples of anthro enemies has been added to the beastiary.)
  54.
  55. Martin Baron: ( I didn't do diddly, actually )
  56. ( I got stabbed to "death" as soon as it was Palpatine's turn. )
  57.
  58. Cas Hutson: (But at least you ended up surviving that somehow.)
  59.
  60. Claudius Silvanus: (( He didn't notice it ))
  61.
  62. Martin Baron: ( True )
  63. GM (GM): ((You raised your gun!))
  64.
  65. Clayton shakes his head, taking in a deep sigh. "Alright. Let's get them into the hospital."
  66.
  67. Martin Baron: ( Ah, that's true too )
  68. ( Can't wait to try the schmoozing though )
  69.
  70. Clayton: "Who all is injured and to what extent?"
  71.
  72. Claudius Silvanus points to Mana and Martin "Her and him. Had to bargain to keep them alive"
  73.
  74. afew hours have passed while the doctors work away. Those that got patched have been healed +60hp
  75.
  76. the doctor, however, points out this isn't a charity and bills you for 2,000 dollars.
  77.
  78. Martin Baron: ( Is it possible to negotiate that down? )
  79.
  80. GM (GM): Sure!
  81.
  82. Claudius Silvanus: ( Can I do it since I'm a native? )
  83.
  84. Martin Baron: (inb4 bad roll)
  85.
  86. GM (GM): Sure!
  87.
  88. Clayton faces both Mana and Martin. "You two both need to rest. I'm going out to get our stuff."
  89.
  90. Cas Hutson grimaces over the cost. "2,000 dollars!? Does it look like we got that much on us!?"
  91.
  92. Claudius Silvanus looks over "Come on doc, you know me. I'm not exactly making money with my workshop ever since the mutant affair started, give me a bit of a discount. I've fixed your bike after all..."
  93.
  94. Claudius Silvanus: rolling 1d100+35
  95. (20)+35= 55
  96.
  97. Martin Baron: "No, dammit. I want to go with you, we gotta save those slaves." Martin protests, sitting up to be at a better eye level with Clayton.
  98.
  99. GM (GM): Okay, before we roll let me explain the rules, or how we are going to use them.
  100.
  101. Claudius Silvanus: (( DERP, then disregard my stuff ))
  102.
  103. GM (GM): it's going to be mind vs mind +1d100, yeah? Like your persuade rolls.
  104. Here's the bit.
  105.
  106. Martin Baron: ( If he fails his roll, can I make a roll too? Can probably try since we're the group who helped save Deep City. )
  107.
  108. GM (GM): You can add a penalty to equal how much of a percent is taken off.
  109.
  110. Claudius Silvanus: (( Ah... then lemme try that again then ))
  111.
  112. GM (GM): so its going to be [1d100+mind-price reduction.]
  113. Sound good?
  114.
  115. Cas Hutson: (I can roll as well, since I got level 1 schmoozing.)
  116.
  117. Claudius Silvanus: (( Gonna go for that 35% off ))
  118.
  119. Clayton shakes his head again. "Your spirit is going to get you killed Martin. You need to rest, I have plenty of gear to deal with them... but I'm going to need my blaster back."
  120.
  121. Claudius Silvanus: rolling 1d100
  122. (59)= 59
  123.
  124. GM (GM): okay.
  125. rolling 1d100+25
  126. (77)+25= 102
  127.
  128. The doctor points out that this is NOT the first time he's had to patch you guys up.
  129.
  130. Claudius Silvanus looks defeated and shakes his head "Sorry guys. I've tried."
  131.
  132. GM (GM): ((Let's try again. We are testing here!))
  133.
  134. Claudius Silvanus: (( Martin's attempt! ))
  135.
  136. Martin Baron notices the negotiation Claudius is attempting to make. "Come on Doc. We helped the city out with that mutant problem. Please give us some leeway here."
  137.
  138. Martin Baron: ( So percent of discount deduct from roll? )
  139. ( Mind of 3 wont help me much here. )
  140.
  141. Claudius Silvanus: (( 15% is still a lot ))
  142.
  143. GM (GM): Yep.
  144.
  145. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100
  146. (32)= 32
  147. ( Nope )
  148.
  149. GM (GM): rolling 1d100+25
  150. (57)+25= 82
  151. "Cash, socks, or checks please."
  152.
  153. Martin Baron: ( Anyone with a mind higher than a gnat, go ahead and try. )
  154.
  155. Claudius Silvanus: (( Lack of Everett is kinda fucking us up here ))
  156.
  157. GM (GM): In your fluster you notice Everett waiving to you from a window afew floors up.
  158.
  159. Cas Hutson: (Hmm, I could try, but I got the mind of 4 though.)
  160.
  161. Clayton sighs looking to make a deal with the doctor
  162.
  163. GM (GM): *Waving, wrong word.
  164.
  165. Clayton: rolling 1d100+30
  166. (64)+30= 94
  167.
  168. GM (GM): rolling 1d100+25
  169. (36)+25= 61
  170. What was your penalty?
  171.
  172. Claudius Silvanus: (( 30 ? )
  173.
  174. Clayton: oh, I just added mind, I forgot about penalty
  175.
  176. GM (GM): Well, that was pretty high anyway, so let's go for the max possible iwth that roll, 30
  177.
  178. Martin Baron: "Clayton, please, let me do this. I'm the one who got us into this mess. I could've bought them off him peacefully, but I went with the violent method and nearly got us killed."
  179. ( I can pay for it. )
  180.
  181. GM (GM): For, you know, saving everyone from a violent death he'll lower it to 1,400.
  182.
  183. Claudius Silvanus cuts in "You've done he right thing, buddy. These people should've have been enslaved!"
  184.
  185. Martin Baron: ( Got 3713 bucks, I can cover it )
  186.
  187. Clayton doesn't budge. "You tried your way. I'm gonna go out and get it done my way. a Zero suit should really help even the odds, but that Blaster should tip things in my favor."
  188.
  189. Cas Hutson: (You sure about this, Martin?)
  190.
  191. Martin Baron: ( Yeah it's fine. (
  192.
  193. M. Walker sighs, shaking her head in shame.
  194.
  195. GM (GM): Any other business in colony?
  196.
  197. Claudius Silvanus points at the window "There's a Red Panda waving at us. Isn't that the one that were with you?"
  198.
  199. Clayton: (( I could try radioing Everett to see if he has any gear that might help. ))
  200.
  201. Cas Hutson: ((Yeah, that would be a decent idea.))
  202.
  203. Martin Baron calls the doctor over and hands him the $1400. He looks back to Clayton, "Please, just let me rest for an hour or so and I'll come with you, dammit. I need to do this."
  204.
  205. one hour later...
  206.
  207. Claudius Silvanus pats Martin on the back " That's the spirit! We need to get back at those bandits!"
  208.
  209. Clayton glares at the moose momentarily and places a hand firmly on Martin's shoulder. "You are not in good shape Martin. Rest is your best option."
  210.
  211. Martin Baron: ( Player persuasion - off? )
  212.
  213. GM (GM): Sure!
  214.
  215. Martin Baron: ( And you can have the blaster )
  216.
  217. Clayton: ((aight ))
  218.
  219. GM (GM): (Why did you give him the blaster?)
  220.
  221. Martin Baron: ( But persuasion for me to get out of bed and put my slippers on or sleep for another hour or two. )
  222.
  223. Clayton: (( because it's a good portable weapon with the zero field on? ))
  224.
  225. Martin Baron: ( Most of my stuff could be on the nightstand next to the hospital bed. Clayton could take it while leaving the room )
  226.
  227. ( Or could throw that into the persuasion deal. He wins, he takes it. Don't really care where it goes. )
  228.
  229. GM (GM): Either or, let's roll!
  230.
  231. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+15
  232. (83)+15= 98
  233.
  234. GM (GM): Or take some sort of action.
  235.
  236. Clayton: (( I'd rather just roll to see if you tag along. I really want to try going with theBlaster-filed combo for a change ))
  237. rolling 1d100+35
  238. (7)+35= 42
  239. (das a bad one )
  240.
  241. GM (GM): Iron willed rabbit.
  242.
  243. Cas Hutson: (Oh boy)
  244.
  245. Martin Baron: "I'm going with you, Clayton. Leave me behind, I'm going to follow the tracks in the wastes. You can't stop me from helping those slaves."
  246.
  247. GM (GM): So, head out?
  248.
  249. Claudius Silvanus: (( We can check on Everett ))
  250.
  251. Clayton grimaces before finally relenting. "Fine Martin, your gonna get yourself killed doing this stuff one day." He pauses, making sure to grab his stolen blaster. "but perhaps not today. Who else is coming?"
  252.
  253. Claudius Silvanus: (( I'm weaponless currently ))
  254. (( We need some gear given we have none ))
  255.
  256. GM (GM): You do have your antlers
  257.
  258. Martin Baron hands Clayton the blaster. "And here. You want it so much, you can have it. Just... don't have it on drill when we get there."
  259.
  260. Cas Hutson: ((I only got a bat over here. A ranged weapon would be nice.))
  261.
  262. GM (GM): brb
  263.
  264. Martin Baron: ( Got $2313, could toss some money both your ways for a gun. )
  265.
  266. Clayton digs into his backpack, pulling out his old flamethrower. "Any one of you averse to using a little bit of napalm?"
  267.
  268. Claudius Silvanus frowns "I don't really want to see people burnt to crisp..."
  269.
  270. GM (GM): back
  271.
  272. Martin Baron: ( How much do I heal for? )
  273.
  274. GM (GM): +60
  275.
  276. M. Walker shakes her head grimly. "Not for what we're after."
  277.
  278. Martin Baron: ( Damn, nice. I'm only 40 points to full )
  279.
  280. Cas Hutson widens his eyes a bit upon noticing Clayton's flamethrower. "How the hell did you get that from?" Cas questioned.
  281.
  282. GM (GM): ("Made it.")
  283.
  284. Martin Baron: ( Anyway, Cas and Claud, you pick your weapons and ammo, I can cover for it. Don't have much else use for the cash. )
  285. ( I'll create new tabs for you two. )
  286.
  287. Cas Hutson: (Thanks Martin)
  288.
  289. Claudius Silvanus: (( I have ability to use heavy weapons so I guess a HMG would be good enough. Any kind. We're talking about a 7' moose. He ain't gonna use a pea-shooter))
  290.
  291. Clayton shrugs. "I've had it forever. I forgotten where I've I got it really."
  292.
  293. Martin Baron: ( Mana, you healed from that +60? Could take another hour of rest or so just to be safe. )
  294.
  295. GM (GM): (Yes she did.
  296.
  297. Cas Hutson: (Cas could go with a pistol, like a 5.45 mm Random 35, or maybe a 9mm Blue)
  298.
  299. Martin Baron: ( Costs? )
  300.
  301. Cas Hutson: (The 5.45 mm's $300, with $25 per 100ct ammo box. The 9mm Blue though is $336 with $28 per 100ct ammo box.)
  302.
  303. Martin Baron: ( Total costs )
  304.
  305. M. Walker: (Yeah, I'll need a bit more cause my max is 110)
  306.
  307. Claudius Silvanus: ( HMG has no cost it seems )
  308.
  309. Cas Hutson: (Okay, the first option will be $350, while the other's total cost is $392.)
  310.
  311. Martin Baron: ( Shouldn't be too hard to find them. I doubt a slaver would move both himself and his produce so far into the wastes. They're probably close to where we found them, in some ruins most likely. )
  312.
  313. GM (GM): While you are resting and compling your shoping lists Everett takes the advantage and comes you to guys.
  314.
  315. Martin Baron: ( Since he's an NPC, GM will now voice for him. )
  316. ( And fine, I'll pay the 392 )
  317. ( Claudius, you got your total costs set up? )
  318.
  319. Cas Hutson: (Alrighty then.)
  320.
  321. Everett: Hey guys, my arm was getting tired. Are you guys doing alright?
  322. I saw you guys come in pretty bad shape here.
  323.
  324. Claudius Silvanus: (( No HMG in the weapon list ))
  325.
  326. Martin Baron: ( Could ask yourself if you could borrow some science to make a science gun )
  327.
  328. GM (GM): ((The .50 cal is the heaviest on the list. If you need heavier than that...))
  329.
  330. Claudius Silvanus: (( M60 will work ))
  331.
  332. GM (GM): ((Then just pick up rocks and throw them.))
  333.
  334. M. Walker: "We got jumped by slavers..." Mana sighs sorely to Everett
  335.
  336. Clayton: "They got hit hard by slavers, I'm getting ready to track 'em down, and we just needed to organize some gear."
  337.
  338. Claudius Silvanus: (( Or .... I'll just see if I can do something in my workshop real quick... ))
  339.
  340. Everett: Yeah, I made the right decision staying here. I love being not shot... Sorry, didn't realize I said that aloud.
  341.
  342. Claudius Silvanus: (( Haha... Yeah sounds like Evertt alright. ))
  343.
  344. Everett: Not to toot my horn but I'm kind of of a whiz here now. I can rig something for you guys. I found the company armory if you need.
  345.
  346. Martin Baron: ( Anything you need to buy? Also, I was joking about GM voicing Everett and all. )
  347.
  348. Claudius Silvanus: (( GM and I worked it out. He has my notes on him now ))
  349.
  350. Clayton chuckles, "Like the time you rigged up that thermite launcher for me?"
  351.
  352. Claudius Silvanus looks at Clayton "Thermite launcher?"
  353.
  354. Martin Baron: ( Cool )
  355.
  356. Clayton: "Went about as well as you expect."
  357.
  358. Everett: Well, this time I have better tools than Martin's sink.
  359. And you were not caught in that explosion! I was, if anyone is going to gripe about it then its going to be me!
  360.
  361. Cas Hutson glances over at Everett. "You found a company armory? What kind of stuff does it got there for us to use?"
  362.
  363. Cas Hutson: (Eyyy DJ!)
  364.
  365. GM (GM): DJ! Yo!
  366.
  367. DJ-Max: (Sorry for being late! Had things I needed to take care of! Sup ya'll?)
  368.
  369. Martin Baron: ( Hey DJ! )
  370. ( While you and Clayton were gone, we nearly got killed by slavers )
  371.
  372. Everett: Basic stuff for handling vores like riot gear, shields, batons, but the better stuff like tasers is alittle broke.
  373.
  374. Claudius Silvanus is just silent and looks at Everett "...are you sure you havent' hit your head?"
  375.
  376. Martin Baron: ( And now we're healing and preparing to go back and kill them )
  377.
  378. Everett: I'm sorry, who are you?
  379.
  380. Claudius Silvanus buffs his chest "Claudius Silvanus, a mechanic here. I think it was your jeep that I've repaired... until well... that slaver thing happened."
  381.
  382. Everett: Ah, so apparently you think you are smarter than me? Is that it?
  383.
  384. DJ-Max: (I see! I see~)
  385.
  386. Claudius Silvanus looks down at the Red Panda puzzled. "No? I'm just a mechanic here..."
  387.
  388. Everett: Damn straight! Anyway, I can help you guys out. I could put together a weapon or to if you guys want to hang around for a day.
  389.
  390. Claudius Silvanus whispers to Clayton "Was he always like that before he hit his head?"
  391.
  392. Clayton: "No can do, we're moving out very soon."
  393.
  394. DJ-Max: "A bit."
  395.
  396. Claudius Silvanus rubs his head and looks around "We could use some protective armour..."
  397.
  398. Clayton shrugs "Everyone's a bit crazy topside."
  399.
  400. Martin Baron: ( Oh right, and here's a drawing I got done of your character last week. http://imgur.com/2SKsRea Sorry it's not very good. Hoping to improve later. )
  401.
  402. Yeah: let me check with the boss...
  403.
  404. Everett turns to the mutant standing next to him who falls backwards trying to eat his own leg.
  405.
  406. Everett sighs and turns back.
  407.
  408. DJ-Max: (Oh! That's pretty cool. Far more realistic then I've drawn him. I like it.)
  409.
  410. GM (GM): ((Nice!))
  411.
  412. Martin Baron: ( Yeah, can't draw cartoon style at all, thought a realistic animal would work out better. Didn't go so well with Everett though )
  413.
  414. Cas Hutson gives a small nod. "Yeah, some armor would be nice, in case gettin' shot happens."
  415.
  416. Everett: the boss says he can issue you riot vests and a shield. Explosives are going to come out of my pay...
  417.
  418. Claudius Silvanus rubs his chin... wondering if he recognizes the mutant from somewhere.
  419.
  420. Everett: Hey Claud.
  421. you can use explosives, right?
  422.
  423. Claudius Silvanus: Ummm I don't think so. I can weld, I can design and I know a little bit of chemistry but I never touched TNT in my life
  424.
  425. GM (GM): ((Riot vest: 70 hp))
  426.
  427. Martin Baron: "Mind if I get some armor too? Need something to avoid any further stab wounds..."
  428.
  429. Cas Hutson: ((Oooh, nice))
  430.
  431. Everett: Well, I whipped this up while gargle wasn't looking.
  432.
  433. M. Walker nods. "Same here..."
  434.
  435. Everett hands Claudius a K-79 single tube grenade launcher, three grenade rounds and 5 sandbag rounds.
  436.
  437. Everett: Keep these chuckleheads safe, okay?
  438.
  439. GM (GM): Does anyone want a shield?
  440.
  441. Martin Baron: ( Sure )
  442.
  443. Clayton waits patiently for everyone to gear up.
  444.
  445. Martin Baron: ( I'll become the next Captain America )
  446.
  447. DJ-Max: (Be sure to shout 'FOR FREEDOM')
  448.
  449. Cas Hutson: (But can you throw that shield like Captain America though?)
  450.
  451. Claudius Silvanus looks over the launcher "I think I know how to use this... "
  452.
  453. Claudius Silvanus: (( Martin mind buying more ammo for this?
  454.
  455. Martin Baron: ( No no, give everyone a shield. We will form the Testudo formation )
  456. ( Sure. How much are you thinking? )
  457.
  458. The monster throws up some papers onto the street.
  459.
  460. Claudius Silvanus: (( 10? ))
  461.
  462. Martin Baron: ( Sorry, I mean what's the cost? )
  463.
  464. Everett: The boss is saying we need to get back to work. Listen, I need some stuff while you guys are out there to help with the...mission.
  465.
  466. Martin Baron: ( https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ac/Testudo_formation.jpg The slavers will never be able to stop us )
  467.
  468. GM (GM): 800 for 10
  469.
  470. Martin Baron: ( Wew lad. Fine, down to 1100 )
  471. "Do you have anything else I can use to protect myself? Like a shield like Gray had?"
  472.
  473. Everett: we have one of those, sure. Listen.
  474.
  475. he directs Martin away from the others.
  476.
  477. Everett: I need missile parts. Guidance systems, CPUs, that kind of thing.
  478.
  479. Martin Baron: "Wh-what?" Martin whispers worriedly.
  480.
  481. Everett: And not for what you think, I'll put together a jamming system, I think that would help alot.
  482.
  483. GM (GM): Pretty much any advanced tech, bring it in and I'll try to make something useful, okay?
  484. And hut!
  485.
  486. Everett: Okay, sure, here is the shield
  487.
  488. Martin Baron nods. "Yeah, I can do that. Hopefully Flask wont notice..."
  489.
  490. GM (GM): Transparent Riot Shield*: 240 hp.
  491.
  492. Martin Baron: ( Radical )
  493.
  494. GM (GM): Everett and the monster go back to their office.
  495. They wave goodbye.
  496.
  497. Martin Baron: "Thanks Everett. I'll try not to die this time."
  498.
  499. Claudius Silvanus looks in Martin's direction while trying out the tube launcher "What was that all about?"
  500.
  501. Martin Baron: ( Rest up real quick to completely heal up or just head out? )
  502.
  503. Cas Hutson: (Could be best to you and Walker to rest real quick before we all head out.)
  504.
  505. you rest a day, +10 hp, +1 mp.
  506.
  507. Clayton: ( NO time, Clayton wants to leave now! )
  508. ( Drat )
  509.
  510. Martin Baron shakes his head. "Nothing like you'd think, just a deal we made. I bring him tech we find out in the wastes, he makes stuff. Hopefully things that will prevent anyone from horrifically dying."
  511.
  512. wasting no time, the party starts early again on the trail of vengeance.
  513.
  514. Claudius Silvanus looks at Martin puzzled "You trust that guy? He looks unhinged"
  515.
  516. Cas Hutson: (I'll be right back, gotta do something real quick.)
  517.
  518. Clayton: "He has been, but he's also been a great help for us."
  519.
  520. Martin Baron laughs at Claudius's remark. "He kind of is..."
  521.
  522. Martin Baron: "But yes, we can trust him."
  523.
  524. Clayton equips his suit and the blaster, he holds off on activating his zero field.
  525.
  526. GM (GM): With some help from Hershel you find your way back to the spot where you had your encounter.
  527.
  528. ...Unless you wanted to go somewhere else.
  529.
  530. Martin Baron: (( Gonna do some perception through my binoculars )
  531.
  532. Clayton surveys the area, looking for any signs where the jeep may have went.
  533.
  534. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+15
  535. (46)+15= 61
  536. "This is where we met the guy... Damn lucky he wasn't in the mood to let us bleed to death at the time."
  537.
  538. GM (GM): Zoom out!
  539.
  540. Clayton: rolling 1d100+30
  541. (83)+30= 113
  542.
  543. Cas Hutson: (Alright, I'm back.)
  544.
  545. GM (GM): You spot things to the East, South East, and south.
  546.
  547. Martin Baron: ( I hope that's our transport )
  548.
  549. GM (GM): And north east.
  550.
  551. Clayton: can I roll land navigation for extra clues?
  552.
  553. GM (GM): Sure.
  554.
  555. Clayton: ( +5 or +10 per skill point? )
  556.
  557. GM (GM): (You mean for mind?
  558.
  559. Clayton: for land navigation 1
  560.
  561. GM (GM): Then roll 1d100
  562.
  563. Clayton: rolling 1d100
  564. (58)= 58
  565.
  566. GM (GM): Get 60 or better.
  567.
  568. Clayton: drat
  569.
  570. GM (GM): You have no clue where you are.
  571.
  572. Martin Baron: ( What's Mana's at? )
  573.
  574. Clayton can't seem to distinguish the jeep's tracks
  575.
  576. Martin Baron: ( He could give it a go )
  577.
  578. GM (GM): (Mana's at pretty good.)
  579. She can also track things with her canine smell.
  580.
  581. Claudius Silvanus: (( BTW what are my gun's stats? ))
  582.
  583. GM (GM): Knocker-79: A single tube launcher.
  584. Sports break action and an iron sight so it
  585. loads just like a shotgun. Barreling allows
  586. the unit to have longer range. Range: 500ft.
  587. Payload: 1. $558
  588. Damage for grenade is Grenade: $80. Damage:

  591. Sandbags: $20. Damage:
  592. 4d10+40 (60)
  593.
  594. Martin Baron: ( I'm guessing sandbags are like the rubber bullets of guns? )
  595.
  596. GM (GM): Yes.
  597.
  598. Clayton looks back to the others, "Anyone else want to give things a go? ?I didn't have much luck"
  599.
  600. GM (GM): Just out of a grenade launcher.
  601. You do gleen that two of these sightings are buildings and the other two look like activity in the open wastes.
  602.
  603. Martin Baron: ( Can anyone who doesn't have the skill give it a try? )
  604.
  605. Cas Hutson: (Hmm. Got a bonus in perception on smell..)
  606. (But I dunno if that'll work.)
  607.
  608. Martin Baron: "Those slavers did tell us that Topsiders roam about these areas. We should be extra careful."
  609.
  610. GM (GM): Sure.
  611. It's almost as if canines themselves were bred specifically for this purpose.
  612.
  613. Cas Hutson: (Alrighty, Imma roll then.)
  614. rolling 1d100+20
  615. (60)+20= 80
  616.
  617. GM (GM): plus 20 for your canine sense.
  618. You track... Engine oil and exhaust.
  619.
  620. Clayton watches Cas, "You find anything?"
  621.
  622. GM (GM): You've got it down to the two southern points of interest.
  623. You must resmell to get a fix.
  624.
  625. Clayton: ( Can I retrack from here? )
  626.
  627. Cas Hutson nods at Clayton's question. "Yeah, I can smell some oil and exhaust over here. Can't track it exactly, but it's somewhere."
  628.
  629. Claudius Silvanus: Oh that's excellent! I can't wait to get our Jeep back!
  630.
  631. DJ-Max: "A general direction is better then anything."
  632.
  633. Martin Baron: "Hershel. Is it possible for you to detect any Topsiders or transports? Or worse, if they could detect us?"
  634.
  635. GM (GM): Smell again Cas to get a better fix.
  636.
  637. Cas Hutson: (Alrighty.)
  638. (Mind points plus bonus with the roll?)
  639.
  640. GM (GM): Yeah. mind*5
  641. Like intiative.
  642.
  643. Cas Hutson: (Alright, cool.)
  644. rolling 1d100+20+20
  645. (45)+20+20= 85
  646.
  647. GM (GM): You track it to the open field area there you find... a hole?
  648.
  649. DJ-Max: "...Yo was' this clova'field stuff doing here man?"
  650.
  651. Clayton steps out of Hershel as they arrive, a bit perplexed by the location. He activates his zero field, making an exception for his shooting hand as he retrieves the blaster. "All of you, don't touch me until I say you can. Zero field is up."
  652.
  653. Cas Hutson: "I dunno, but I can smell it coming from the hole," Cas notes as he gets out of the transporter.
  654.
  655. Claudius Silvanus hesitates but finally asks "...What's a zero field?"
  656.
  657. Martin Baron: "Hold up Clayton. There might be slaves down there. You gotta be extra careful."
  658. ( Can I make a hearing perception roll? Sorry for all the rolls, just want to be safe and all. )
  659.
  660. Cas Hutson: (Yeah, that wouldn't be a bad idea.)
  661.
  662. GM (GM): (( https://youtu.be/mTJ6GPGMozo ))
  663.
  664. Clayton nods, "It's fine. I'm only gonna kill the slavers if I can help him."
  665.
  666. GM (GM): Sure, listen away.
  667.
  668. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+35
  669. (72)+35= 107
  670.
  671. DJ-Max: "You know those guns the top siders got deer? Like those...'cept in a field ya feel?"
  672.
  673. Martin Baron holds a hand up and walks close to the hole, putting his ear close to try to listen for any sounds.
  674.
  675. Martin Baron: "I hear... laughing. I think they're counting something... Sounds like coins. Women and men laughing in the hole."
  676. ( Oh wait, post apocalypse - coins. My fault. )
  677.
  678. Clayton: "Probably counting our money."
  679.
  680. Martin Baron: ( Dollar bills or cans of beans. Take your pick. )
  681.
  682. GM (GM): Coins or very hard dollar bills, either or.
  683.
  684. Claudius Silvanus rubs his chin "You mean the ones that disintigrate you? I only heard about those... never saw one."
  685.
  686. Clayton: brb, have to run to the store real quick
  687.
  688. Martin Baron: ( WELL OK THEN )
  689. ( GOODBYE ULTIMATE WEAPON )
  690.
  691. DJ-Max: "Yeah... you might if'n ya' stick up hear long 'nough to get one o'them gats pointed at you."
  692.
  693. Clayton takes his position at the rear of the group until they set off.
  694.
  695. GM (GM): ( Who is also carrying your other ultimate weapon.
  696.
  697. Clayton: (( I will onyl be gone for about 5 min. just hold out for a bit if you want. ))
  698.
  699. Claudius Silvanus gulps....
  700.
  701. Martin Baron: "We can probably sneak in, get the slaves to safety before we storm them down."
  702. ( I'm fine with waiting 5 minutes or so )
  703.
  704. something is climbing out of the hole!
  705.
  706. you only have a split second to react, hide? Attack? Run?
  707.
  708. Martin Baron: ( The transporter is out in the open, hiding is a moot point )
  709. ( We can probably hold him up, someone could tackle him down and muffle him so the others wont get alerted )
  710.
  711. Cas Hutson: (Yeah. Could do that.)
  712.
  713. DJ-Max would not want to attack just yet. It could he'd rather wait and see...
  714.
  715. Martin Baron: ( Dammit, can't hide now. )
  716.
  717. GM (GM): You see one of the ferrets, she climbs out, sees you, and holds dead still.
  718.
  719. Clayton: (( back now ))
  720.
  721. Martin Baron: ( One of the ferrets climbed out of the hole. Should we console her or tackle her down to muffle any yelling? )
  722.
  723. GM (GM): Sand bag her!
  724.
  725. Clayton stares her down in full topsider garb. "who are you?"
  726.
  727. Martin Baron let's out a sigh of relief, it's one of the slaves. He puts a finger to his lips and says "Keep quiet. We're here to help."
  728.
  729. Cas Hutson: (Don't sand bag her!)
  730.
  731. Martin Baron: ( Sarcasm isn't your first language, is it? )
  732.
  733. GM (GM): She doesn't know who to listen to now!
  734.
  735. Clayton looks down to Martin, letting him go first
  736.
  737. Martin Baron: ( Um... Schmooze to get her to quietly come to us without screaming? )
  738.
  739. GM (GM): She walks torwards you signalling to take her away from here.
  740.
  741. Martin Baron: ( Works for me )
  742.
  743. Claudius Silvanus: ( Sorry for not being here quite often, still cooking stuff. Should be done in a few )
  744.
  745. Cas Hutson: (Alright)
  746.
  747. GM (GM): Regular persuasion roll for that.
  748.
  749. Clayton steps closer tot eh edge of the cave.
  750.
  751. GM (GM): Cooking in important!
  752.
  753. Martin Baron: ( Actually wait, I can schmooze for any info inside the hole. Map it out. )
  754. rolling 1d100+15
  755. (30)+15= 45
  756. ( Or just fail horribly, why not. )
  757.
  758. GM (GM): Yes, you go inside the cave and talk about. through your chit chat you find out all the interesting gossip!
  759.
  760. Martin Baron: "We're here to rescue you and the others. Where are the others located and how many slavers are there?"
  761. ( Oh wait, I got 1 rank in schmoozing )
  762.
  763. Dehlilia: Uh, I'm the only one. Please, can we just get out of here?
  764.
  765. Martin Baron: "What? What happened to the others?"
  766.
  767. Dehli: They were...Sold.
  768.
  769. Clayton frowns. "Where... were they taken?"
  770.
  771. Claudius Silvanus: ( Back )
  772.
  773. Claudius Silvanus growls "We need to get them back!"
  774.
  775. Dehli: I don't know! Somewhere! There was dust! Please, can't we just go? I'm very upset.
  776.
  777. Clayton directs the ferret to the transporter. "Stay here for a bit, we still have unfinished business here."
  778.
  779. Cas Hutson shakes his head. "Can't. We gotta get some stuff back from those slavers."
  780.
  781. Dehli: Why do you have a topsider with you?
  782.
  783. Clayton: "Just a suit dollface"
  784.
  785. Martin Baron pauses for a second, trying to think things over. He looks to Clayton then back to the slave and says "Hide in the transport, the back of the room. We gotta deal with the slavers down below, and we'll come back up to get you somewhere safe."
  786.
  787. Dehli: Please, I'm begging you! Just take me away from here!
  788.
  789. Martin Baron: ( Anyone considering that she might be in on this operation, and might be luring us away for something shady? )
  790.
  791. Claudius Silvanus looks around "Can we take her with us? She's safter in that boxcar"
  792.
  793. GM (GM): ( Or she is trying to save you from something horrible! Could be like a sarlac pit in there.
  794.
  795. Martin Baron: ( Schmooze to find out what's so horrible down there? Or persuade? )
  796.
  797. Cas Hutson: (I could schmooze her about that.)
  798.
  799. Clayton shakes his head, "No can do." He paces back toward Hershel. "Hershel, keep this ferret safe unless I say otherwise, Authorize only Me, Martin and Everett to access you."
  800.
  801. Martin Baron: ( Well I got a rank in that. Does it add 10 points or something? )
  802.
  803. Cas Hutson: (I got a rank too.)
  804.
  805. Clayton: (( Meant to say "Until otherwise." ))
  806.
  807. GM (GM): I'm afraid that information requires more schmooze.
  808.
  809. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+15
  810. (7)+15= 22
  811. ( My schmooze game is weak )
  812.
  813. GM (GM): Each level allows you to have more information from a group.
  814. This is just standard interrogation!
  815.
  816. Cas Hutson: (Lemme give it a try.)
  817.
  818. Martin Baron: ( I noticed a correlating theme here: I make absolutely horrible rolls unless it's against players. )
  819.
  820. Clayton: (( Does Hershel confirm my orders? ))
  821.
  822. GM (GM): Yes he does.
  823.
  824. Cas Hutson: (I add in the mind*5 in that roll for schmooze, is that right?)
  825.
  826. GM (GM): He lets the ferret in.
  827.
  828. Cas Hutson: (Oh.)
  829.
  830. GM (GM): Schmooze isn't really applicable.
  831. It's like street wise.
  832. But we could test it if you want.
  833. Commence schmooze test?
  834.
  835. Cas Hutson: (Sure)
  836.
  837. Martin Baron: (( SCHMOOZE OFF )
  838.
  839. GM (GM): You are at a party.
  840. There are lots of people.

  851.
  852. Martin Baron: ( This'll only end one way )
  853.
  854. GM (GM): At level 1, you learn that afew people in this party don't like eachother and may start a fight.
  855.
  856. Cas Hutson: (Hoo boy)
  857.
  858. Martin Baron: (( I'll throw my weak schmooze game in too ))
  859. rolling 1d100+15
  860. (88)+15= 103
  861.
  862. GM (GM): Or your borrowed 500 dollars.

  864. Martin Baron: ( Cheers ))
  865.
  866. Cas Hutson: (DANG)
  867.
  868. GM (GM): At level 2 you would learn that there are drugs about in the party or that the groups plan to fight tonight.
  869.
  870. Martin Baron: ( Anyway, sorry for confusing schmooze and persuasion )
  871.
  872. GM (GM): or 1000 in cash or gear.
  873. It's still very vague I think.
  874. The thing is that it is used for crowded settings.
  875.
  876. Martin Baron: ( Barely get into those. Don't remember if we ever had. )
  877.
  878. GM (GM): This is literally the exact opposite unless you are a soot sayer.
  879. Sure, inside a colony counts.
  880. End of schmooze test.
  881. We'll work on it.
  882. So, actions?!
  883.
  884. Martin Baron: ( Ah well. Anyway, slave girl who might die of not-getting-sex syndrome like ferrets apparently do is safe, now all that's left is the hole. )
  885. ( Seriously, why do ferrets die because of that again? )
  886.
  887. GM (GM): Estrogen overdose?
  888.
  889. Cas Hutson: (We should have one of us get into the hole and check to see if it's safe to get inside.)
  890.
  891. Martin Baron: ( Maybe )
  892.
  893. GM (GM): biology is weird.
  894.
  895. Martin Baron: ( Obviously that person is Clayton. )
  896.
  897. GM (GM): Who enters?
  898.
  899. Claudius Silvanus: ( Pff... And yeah estrogen overdose )
  900.

  913. (97)= 97
  914. Yep.
  915. It's more like an enclosed ramp than a hole
  916.
  917. Martin Baron: ( I'm scared. What's all that rolling for? )
  918. ( Also Clayton, you here? )
  919.
  920. GM (GM): ((Crap, you saw that.))
  921.
  922. Martin Baron: ( Species determination? )
  923.
  924. Claudius Silvanus: (( GMRoll! ))
  925.
  926. Clayton: (( I'm here had to step out again for something. ))
  927.
  928. Martin Baron: ( Just reroll privately to yourself )
  929. ( While you were gone, Hershel received the party bus upgrade. )
  930.

  1248.
1249. Clayton yells back to the others, "Cover the exits, nobody escapes! Nobody!"
  1250.
1251. Cas Hutson: (I could try to take aim at Sheev, though I would like to not hit the slaves nor the jeep.)

  1326.
1327. Clayton: Ah, thanks for clearing that up. How much health does the jeep have?
  1328.
  1329. GM (GM): 900

  1381. Clayton: (( Or WILL be a problem ))
  1382.
1383. Martin Baron: ( I'll disarm him when combat ends )
1384. ( So can I reach them in 1 action or will it have to be 2? )
  1385.
  1386. GM (GM): Tough decisions!
  1387.
1388. Martin Baron: ( Never mind, from that position it would take 8 tiles to get there, so I can make it. )
