Charlotte's Denims

charlotte057: You wake up in a completely white room. Three stand in front of you: a sword, a spell book, and a dagger. Which one do you take?

batias: I readjust my glasses and take the spell book. Then I proceed to wonder what compels me to only take one?

charlotte057: As you pick up the spell book, the other two disappear. Ahead, three more items pop into view: A red egg, a blue egg, and a green egg. Which one would you like?

batias: Calmly disregarding the disappearing objects, Batias goes for the green egg.

charlotte057: The green egg wiggles in your hands as the other two disappear. Finally, three doors appear in front of you. The left-most door is red. The middle door is green. The last door is blue. Which one do you go through?

batias: Batias readjusts his glasses, hugs the egg to his chest, and walks through the green door.

charlotte057: You wake up in a lush rain forest, book and egg in hand. A small bag sits in front of you with a canteen balanced next to it. A running waterfall roars to your right. What do you do?

batias: Welp. Batias hurriedly checks if the bag has anything in it.

charlotte057: Nothing is in the bag, but it might still come in handy.

batias: Batias slips the bag's strap over his head and gently sets the green egg inside.

charlotte057: The egg is probably a bit warmer now, which will speed up hatching time. What do you do now?

batias: He nods to himself and opens up the book.

charlotte057: The book contains a single written page. "SPARK. Will damage a foe. 1-3 damage. +1 on crit."

batias: Batias smiles, turning his head to one of the many nearby rain forest trees. He stares intently, willing "Spark!" he cries, with a snap of his fingers.

charlotte057: A large bolt of electricity dances from your fingertips, shooting towards the tree and creates a large scar on it, cutting into its core.

batias: Batias laughs, obviously content with the new found power. He carefully drops the book in the bag next to the egg.

charlotte057: Your laughter quickly turns to a frown as your mouth feels like sandpaper. You are unbelievably thirsty.

batias: He picks up the canteen and shakes it, listening for contents as he starts on the hike for the river.

charlotte057: Empty. Luckily, the river is not far.

batias : He sighs dejectedly and cautiously makes his way for the river. He swivels his head at every noise, not wanting to be caught unaware of any sudden dangers.

charlotte057: No dangers in sight as you step onto the river bank.

batias: Batias readjusts his glasses and kneels down next to the water. He sets his canteen to the side and sticks his face into the running water, drinking his fill.

charlotte057: The water tasted more delicious than anything you ever tasted. It tasted like a first kiss. It tasted like that feeling you get after you aced an important test. It tasted like the first ray of sunshine after a week of rain. The water tasted like hope, happiness, and love.

batias: Batias whipped his head out of the water, laughing heartily about the unexpected pleasant flavor. He unscrews the lid off the canteen and dips it in the river, filling it as well.

charlotte057: Your canteen is full and your thirst quenched. Suddenly, your bag starts to shake.

batias: He pops the lid back on and sets the canteen down. He giddily opens up the bag, letting the outside light pour in so he can get a look.

charlotte057: A tiny, leafy dragon opens its eyes, squinting in the light.

batias: Batias gaped, amazed. He stuck his hands in, hoping the critter wouldn't resist his trying to pick it up too much.

charlotte057: The creature climbs Batias, thinking it's his mother. He hungrily cries for food.

batias: "This sure is a funny looking turtle," he laments. He stands up, tossing the canteen where the green egg once laid. "Water is all I can do you for right now. How about it?" he asks the leafy lizard.
