When Jamie had turned 15, her adoptive parents had told her the reason why she was given away. With that being said, she felt bad and had begun to work hard for her adoptive parents instead. She had taken an interest in science, history and music. She started getting high grades. But nothing could relieve the pain she felt after learning how horrible she was, horrible enough to be given away. Despite all that, she still tried to be that bright, cheerful girl for her friends.
