  1. Sup. The time of the harvest is upon us. Let the scythe swing wide and true!
  2.
  3. I am going focus primarily on the new lore that's being introduced in this codex. No need to re-tread what the past codexes established
  4.
  5. Space Travel :
  6.
  7. -The Necrons ships' drives have been retconned from being burning slow into being almost as fast as Warp travel. However, they are much much safer.
  8.
  9. -The Dolmen Gates are presented as just another form of Space travel rather than being the primarily method as it was before in the older codexes. It's dangerous method of travel since even though the Webway networks are subjugated by the Dolmen Gates, the semi-sentient Webway resists the Necrons and will seek to destroy them. However, the risks are worth it if the Gates allow the Necrons to surprise their enemies by materialising behind their lines.
  10.
  11.
  12. The Blackstone :
  13.
  14. -The Imperium only just begun to understand the importance of the Blackstone. Abaddon had understood its power far earlier than they and is using it for his apocalyptic ends. Yet it's the Necrons that are the true masters of the Blackstone.
  15.
  16.
  17. -The Blackstone uses for the Necrons go beyond rebelling the Warp. The Necrons utilise the material in their technology and structures. They channel cosmic energies into the Blackstone to generate energy beams, portals, and other effects that are beyond the comprehension of the lesser races.
  18.
  19.
  20.
  21. -The Necrons use Blackstone in their Null Matrices as well as in the experimental Pylon arrays that may spell doom for all their foes.
  22.
  23.
  24.
  25. Misc :
  26.
  27.
  28. -Necron technology is so advanced that only the Aeldari artifice can represent a close comparison
  29.
  30.
  31. -Cenoptek constructs are not sentient. They are mindless machine slaves to the Necrons that are incapable of an independent thought.
  32.
  33.
  34. -Canoptek Plasmacytes' purpose is to isolate and drain corrupted engrams from the minds of the Necron sleepers. The Destroyers use these machines to inject the corrupted engrams into their minds in order to speed the erosion of their personalities thus accelerating their total fall to the Destroyer Curse and fuelling their omnicidal butchery.
  35.
  36. *Note : They are injecting pure refined madness into their brains. Hardcore or just stupid. You decide.
  37.
  38.
  39. -Before the return of the Silent King, the Necron dynasties chances of reconquering the galaxy were virtually non-existent due to their infighting. Now with the Anti-Chaos Protocols releasing the Technomandrites from their imprisonment and the Silent King making common cause with them, the Necrons may have a chance reclaim the galaxy. The Silent King plans to employ Pylon Arrays to create zones of Warp suppressing energies that span regions of space. The effect of a single zone is not absolute. Warp travel, psychic powers, Daemonic incursions are still possibly although incredibly difficult. The Silent King believes that by merging the fields of these zones, it will lead to the permanent defeat of Chaos. Also by cutting off Warp energies from the galaxy, all the lesser races will be numbed before entering a state of mindless as they experience irreversible soul-death. With this the Silent King's second goal will be achieved. A near-limitless supply mindless flesh to experiment on for the Return to Flesh.
  40.
  41. -The Celestial Orrey can be used to create blackholes.
  42.
  43.
  44. -The Severed Legions of Sarkon represent a terrifying threat to the Necrons, as they invade more Necron tombs and sever them.
  45.
  46.
  47. -Whether it's a natural degradation or a side effect of the Great Rift it's unknown, but the Destroyer Curse spread within the ranks of the Necrons is speeding up.
  48.
  49.
  50. -Zarathusa of Mephrit is among the detractors of the Silent King.
  51.
  52.
  53. -Imotekh sees himself as the great uniter of the Necron race. As such he views the return of the Silent King with disdain. He will not allow the one whom he holds accountable for the plight of the Necrons to eclipse him.
  54.
  55.
  56. -Among the displays and wonders present in Solemnace are Doomrider's Folly, Last Stand of Ursarkar Creed, Sword Both Stolen and Sought, Last Questions of Historicus Ostalan Varus
  57.
  58.
  59. -The Silent King is using Szeras' obsession with unlocking the secrets of the soul and faith as a leverage to get his allegiance
  60.
  61.
  62. -Szeras uses his empyric overcharger to shock enemy minds into sudden catastrophic psychic manifestation
  63.
  64.
  65. -Orikan does not forgive the Silent King for dismissing his warning. It's believed by some that Orikan's open disrespect and contempt for authority stem from the last bitter exchanges between him and the Silent King before the fate of the Necrontyr was sealed.
  66.
  67.
  68. -Orikan believes that the final star alignment draws near. At that moment, unlimited cosmic power will be his and the temporal traps that he wove across the galaxy will be triggered all at once. Then Orikan would become the master and all would obey him.
  69.
  70.
  71. -Anrakyr is undoubtedly loyal to the Silent King. His only goal is the restoration of the Necron Empire.
  72.
  73.
  74. Warzone Amnotep II :
  75.
  76.
  77. -The codex continues the story from the Forgebane book. The awakening Sautekh Necrons and their defences could not stop the Admech from extracting a vital piece of Blackstone shard from their Blackstone "capstone" structure. This caused the contra-empyric-shield that protected the planet to shutdown which resulted in a Warp Rift to appear from which a daemon incursion spilled out. Now the war for Amontep II became a three way struggle for dominance.
  78.
  79.
  80. -Vast Necron forces teleport in from off world and they match toward the Admech holdings with a Void Dragon shard at their fore
  81.
  82.
  83. -An ancient Dolmen Gate activates and from it issue forth the legions of the Szarekhan. The Szarekhan Overlords have laid claim to this world. They concentrate on defending their beachhead and they show no interest in aiding the Sautekh.
  84.
  85.
  86. Galaxy Map :
  87.
  88.
  89. There are not one...but TWO Blackstone Fortresses. One to the west which is the one where the BSF game is set. And another one to the northeast.
  90.
  91.
  92. -The Labyrinth of Thanotep is a tesseract labyrinth the size of a world. It's a prison that contains entities so terrible that not even the Necrons dare enslave them for war.
  93.
  94.
  95. -Rather than controlling one territory, the Szarekhan control four territories scattered around the galaxy. The T'au Empire is within one of these territories.
  96.
  97.
  98. -The map shows four Pariah/Contra-Empyric Nexuses to the north, west, east, and south of the galaxy. With a fifth one in Segmentum Solar.
  99.
  100.
  101. THE DYNASTYIES :
  102.
  103.
  104. -The Szarekhan were slow to awaken not only due to galactic disasters that scattered their worlds. The Aeldari had hunted their tomb worlds with particular zeal, and more than one rival dynasty sought to repay the Szarekhan for the horrors of the War in Heaven. Despite being beset from all sides their skills and martial artifice, the aid of the Triarch Praetorians, and their unshaking belief in the promise of the true liege's return ensured that they endured. Indeed, the Silent King did return and this vindicated and invigorated them. Now they march to war to forward the agenda of their master. Many dynasties have allied with them or had bent the knee and allowed themselves to be absorbed, for to defy the Szarekhan is to declare yourself opposed to the will of the Silent King.
  105.
  106.
  107. -The Sautekh do not restrict their conquest to the lesser races. They had swept over the territories of other dynasties. Those who submit willingly and allow themselves to be absorbed are often given great honour for their willingness to embrace unity over pride. Those who resist face full might of the Sautekh. Once they are humbled, they are usually given the codes of honours and then they are absorbed all the same.
  108.
  109.
  110. -The Nihilakh dynasty has openly sided with the Silent King. Their legion are on the march conquering and erecting Pylons before moving on to fresh conquests. They seek nothing short of galactic conquest.
  111.
  112.
  113. -Because of their dishonourable conduct, the Triarch refused to aid the Nekthyst dynasty when their crownworld was attacked by an Ork Waaagh!. The Orks were rebelled at a terrible cost. Nekthyst emerged from this, as a jaded and bitter presence. They turned their back on their fellow Necrons and spit on the dream of Necron galactic conquest.
  114.
  115.
  116. -The Charnovokh dynasty proved themselves willing subjects to the Silent King, for they know that the Silent King alone knows the dire threat posed by the Tyranids.
  117.
  118.
  119.
  120.
  121. The Fall of the C'tan as presented by the Aeldari book "The book of Mournful Night" :
  122.
  123. -The Aeldari writing introduces a new word. Oghyr. Here is what know so far about it :
  124. - Petty and unworthy. A changeling child of ambition born of jealousy and spite that soon outgrew those who birthed it and sought to devour them
  125. - The biofurnaces roared with the voice of the Oghyr
  126. - As the C'tan and Necrons waged their war on the Old Ones, the Oghyr walked the blood roads between the stars in manifold guises and they feasted unto satiation
  127. - The rampage of the Oghyr could not be held at bay
  128.
  129.
  130.
  131.
  132. -The Eye of Kathan'ta was used to set the gaze of the celestial many on the Nightbringer. This burned the shadows around its form and then it was sharded.
  133.
  134. -Within the maze of endless beginnings, the Great Deceiver found its doom. The Necrons brought to life the singing spheres and by their song the C'tan God was torn apart.
  135.
  136. -The Void Dragon was the most terrible and greatest of the C'tan Gods. Around his neck hung the Talismans of Vaul. From the light hat spilled from them, its weakness was revealed. By the hand of the Oghyr and the crimson glow of the prison sempiternal, fell the Void Dragon. His work will forcer go unfinished.
  137.
  138. -The Silent King hated the Endless Swarm the most. It was responsible for birthing the sickness everlasting in the minds of mortals. It was which always walked three steps behind, which saw through the eyes of all. The Endless Swarm was brought to the mortal brink and its bonds were severed beyond sight. In its sharding the thousand tides of misery were unleashed upon the stars
  139.
  140. -The Aeldari have no record of how the Burning One fell. They found a single etching on a single world that shows that Silent King spearing the Burning One in its fiery heart.
  141.
  142. -The Necrons in their millions fell on the Flayer with unforged blades until they erased him utterly.
  143.
  144. -The Outsider fell to the trickery of the Laughing God, However, its terror was so great that none could slay it. Some say that the Outsider shattered itself. Others say that the Outsider of all the Star Gods never fell and that one day it will return.
  145.
  146. -Kalugura the Silent Cry was entombed eternally by the order of the Silent King
  147.
  148. -The Moulder of Worlders bound and broken by its own cosmic powers
  149.
  150. -The Walking Blight was lured through the inevitable Gateway and broken in the void beyond
  151.
  152. -Reality was wounded and broken by the sharding of the C'tan, for the C'tan are part of the fundamental fabric of reality. Yet the Necrons did not care. Revenge was theirs.
  153.
  154.
  155. The Silent King :
  156. -The main goal of the Silent King is to atone for his sins against his people.
  157.
  158. -The sensory and neurological capabilities of the Silent King is more advanced and precise than anything of flesh and blood. The mechanical perfection of his form cannot now be replicated any sentient being.
  159.
  160. -The Silent King's ship is called the Song of Oblivion. It's a city sized warship.
  161.
  162. -The Necrons have mysterious memory gaps considering the history of the Silent King and when exactly did he return to the galaxy. They can't seem focus long enough on these mysteries to solve them. The few that can sustain their doubts for long find the Triarch Praetorians are never far behind.
  163.
  164. -The Tyranids being the reason of his return is thrown in doubt. The story is considered to be filled with holes.
  165.
  166. -The Silent King has a strange effect on the Necrons. A doubter in the presence of the Silent King gets turned into a supplicant begging to do his will.
  167.
  168. -The Silent King chose two Phaerons, from lesser dynasties that were absorbed into his dynasty, to join him in forming the Final Triarch. Hapthara was elevated to be Phaeron of the Stars and Mesophet was elevated to Phaeron of the Blade. The two joined him on the Dias of Dominion and they proclaim the will Triarch. It has been noted how thoroughly the two Phaeons are bound to the Dias, how they speak now as one, and how they support the Silent King without question.
  169.
  170.
  171. -A shard of the Burning One powers the the Dias and the Silent King's Sceptre of Eternal Glory. The Silent King wears its Necrodermis as a cloak.
  172.
  173. -The Dias features Blackstone beacons that not only banish the energies of the Warp but also open temporarily Dolmen Gates that the Silent King can use to travel vast distances of interstellar space
  174.
  175. -The Necrons that are rebelling against the will of the Silent King are a minority
  176.
  177. -The Silent King has a personal phalanx of Lychguard called the "Stellar Scythes". These elite warriors possess augmented mental engrams that allow them to philosophise, practice elaborate diplomacy, and converse at great length with high intellect. Their bodies are made from metagold and blackstone. Each possesses a personal Doom scythe fighter. These warriors act as the Silent King's envoys and companions. In war, they act as his bodyguards and aerial escort.
