Battling a Kaor with Satoshi (Rolled 2) - Fail

[14:20:48] Satoshi immediately ran forward once she took his hand into her own, and was practically dragging her with him at first. He had too much energy, and needed to get it all out somehow. So he literally tossed Vivica onto his shoulders. ...But due to the immense difference in their strength, he ended up tossing her up to the cave ceiling. However, he was fast enough with his flight to fly up and catch her before she ended up pissed off.

Thank the Gods...

He carried her bridal style this time and floated towards the exit of Trystle caves and into the Deadland Marshes where he immediately looked around for somewhere to start their adventure!

"A piano? It's a big wooden box with keys that makes sounds. An instrument. Dad used to play a guitar or something, and taught me how to play the piano. So I made my own music with it!"(totally mine, hell yeah, ek)

He flew her over a murky stream, and noticed a big blue elemental yokai in the distance. He frowned up at the presence of yokai in this area and fired a blue ring of energy at it, constricting it and holding it in place forcefully. He looked to Vivica to see if she wanted to kill it, his eyes filled with absolute hatred at this point.

Oh, right... Yokai had hurt Vivica before, so of course he'd hold some kind of grudge against all of them, right? Yep...

[14:29:20] Just moments after taking his hand in hers, Vivica was pulled forward with Satoshi, nearly tripping over on the ground by the sudden force that dragged her forward. "Eh!" She yelped out the moment he pulled her.

Instantly she had been tossed up into the air like a rag doll but caught before hitting the ceiling of the caverns above. She wasn't upset, not, but rather a bit annoyed. Even if, now she had been bridal carried by the boy.

Together they exited the caves and into the marshes. A place unknown to her. New. The air was putrid and rotting, disgusting and unfavorable as she preferred the air of the caves or Cinderfall.

This, however, was a new experience. Therefore she'd, for now, deal with it.

"Oh. Guitar and Piano? I like listening to music. Kallistos, an old friend of mine, used to play something and sing to me in Loranthis." A giggle followed after her words as she peered down towards the murky waters of the area.

Her facial expression clearly showed her lack of interest for the area, but at the same time she was interested in being here. A new area. A ner adventure. A new experience.

Vivica watched Satoshi restrict a yokai and that had drawn a smile on her face. Looking to Satashi, she'd point towards the elemental.

"Lots of yokai hunting, huh? Want to fight it?" She stated with a smile. Maybe soon they could fight a kaor or more yokai, something to get the adrenaline pumping and training going.

[14:37:52] How could Vivica be so calm in the presence of such a vile creature? He wanted to lash out at it, torture it, and just completely obliterate it. Yet something held him back from doing so... Was it Vivica's presence? Her positive attitute? Her smile?

He sighed, and nodded slowly. "Yeah... Let's fight it," he said at last, forcing a smile onto his face.

He inhaled sharply, and a teal aura exploded around his form. Seeing as Vivica was being held by him, the aura was probably giving her a tickling sensation on both of her legs and the center of her back. He prayed that she didn't laugh and send him flying through the clouds or something...

Satoshi gently set her down and took his spear in hand, glaring towards the Elemental and willing the forces of gravity to rain down upon it. Unfortunately for the yokai, it was weak as fuck considering elementals have shitty health... So it became misshapen and just sat there, squealing and roaring in absolute agony.

The Yokai's pain caused a slightly insane smirk to make its way onto Satoshi's face. Seeing something writhe in agony that touched his precious Vivica... It was delicious.

"Well.. Your turn to finish it off, Vivi!" he said, nudging her shoulder.

[14:47:15] Attacking yokai. Killing the depraved and fighting them off. That was something the Outlaws were about that she wanted to join. Ever since a young age, her parents were to bring her to that hideout before she ended up in Loranthis.

Now there she was, learning from Ciel Vydres, now Ciel Loirdne, to fight the depraved and bring an end to their lives. Though she was a child born to give mercy, who prayed to Kraus and Andreil, the Angel of Mercy.

She respected lives, they were precious and needed to be respected.

The little girl's feet were set down on the ground, feet sinking into the moist lands of the marshes. Water was pulled from the ground, manipulated and cleansed into an aura that took to her form.

Her dagger was removed as she approached the yokai with a calm disposition despite its screeching. She raised it, but this was something she couldn't do. Killing wasn't within her nature unless she HAD to do it. Therefore the little girl backed away with a shaken breath and looked unto Sataoshi and his maniacal expression.

"You can kill it.. I can't."

[14:57:29] Satoshi noticed Vivica's shaky breath as she backed away from the weakened Yokai. She couldn't kill it?! HOW?! The fact that she couldn't do this enraged him... After this thing's kind almost killed her, tormented people all over the lands, and still got to breathe... She couldn't kill it?!

He grimaced, baring his teeth slightly before forcing an even more intense wave of gravity over the weakened being. It screeched in pure agony, before flattening with a splurt of blood painting the ground beneath it. He breathed heavily, clenching his fists to the point that they too bled.

"...They hurt you..." he breathed. "So none of them deserve to live..."

He narrowed his eyes towards the distance and offered Vivica his hand again. This time he was floating, instead of goofily dragging her and running like a chicken with its head chopped off. The boy looked angry this time, as if his bloodlust could never be satiated.

"So... Ready to fight a bigger one?"

[15:08:35] Gravitational magic crushed the yokai, splattering its blood along the ground and even some had managed to dot spots on her legs. She could hear in Satoshi's voice that he wasn't happy about her backing away from slaying a yokai.

"I.. I know they hurt me.. I almost died to yokai.. many times.." She stated and looked to his floating figure, hesitantly taking his hand to move along.

"I think I am ready, yes." She stated with a flat and calm tone of voice. Deep down she began to feel fearful. Yokai; beings that nearly ended her life and no matter how many times she had stated of killing them, she couldn't bring herself to end them.

It wasn't due to mercy, the thoughts of redemption, or anything else of the like, but because she feared killing. There had only been one individual she had slain in her life for harming a friend and even now she had nightmares about ending their life and plenty of regrets about it.

"Kraus.. your creations of yokai have been failures. Let them rest easy in your hands.." She knew creatures like there were born and made for darkness, therefore they couldn't help their natures.

With a deep breath, she finds herself in a more calm state of mind and walks along with Satoshi again to fight more.

"I am ready now."

[15:22:14] Satoshi noted the dotted spots of blood on Vivica's legs and wiped them with his cloak, shaking his head. He couldn't allow that thing's filthy insides to touch one he deemed someone he cared for. Once he finished, he allowed her to take a place on his shoulders instead, flying a bit higher into the air and searching for another Yokai to fight.

In the distance he noticed a large creature that wielded a colossal blade. A Kaor... Satoshi sped up even more, his aura burning around him, but not enough to harm Vivica in any way. No... He'd save that for this behemoth. As he landed, the being seemed to take notice of them immediately, and Satoshi gently set Vivica down next to him.

He floated a few feet off of the ground, baring his teeth with pure, unadulterated fury. He released a wave of killing intent towards the Kaor, and gripped his spear with all of his strength, shattering the dirt beneath him with the sheer amount of power he was giving off.

The same technique he used to surpass his limits with strength was being used in this moment, yet more focused and long lasting. He was furious...

"...This thing... We're going to kill it together, Vivi..."

[15:36:44] The yokai's blood had been wiped away by Satoshi using his cloak. Vivica stood in place to allow him the opportinuty for it before being sat on his shoulders while they floated around to search for a larger yokai, or perhaps a flock of them.

In the distance had been a kaor.. the girl's eyes widened at the sight before her, scared, fearful, to see such a being here. She didn't express her fear, but kept herself calm. That was the way it was supposed to be in any given situation.

Calm. A clear mind capable of thinking properly. She had to be careful. Vivica watched as Satoshi provoked the massive beast.

"Satoshi..." She spoke, Vivica didn't have much of a reply for his words. She hated killing, even if she knew Ciel would be proud of her for it. She gave a nod of her head.

Lightning magic began to bolt out from her form, flowing freely over her body as did water, fire which caused water to steam, and winds blew against the two of them. She was scared. Flash backs to Arisetael nearly killing her invaded her mind and she wanted to back off from this yokai, but no..

She couldn't. Vivica couldn't show fear in the face of her friend. A hesitant step backwards was forced, but with that same foot, she stepped forward with more determination to defeat the kaor.

'Two measly humans I have come to encounter? Children even? For a bettle it appears. How enjoyable.'

The yokai's words reverberated within the minds of the two children, bringing about a sudden ire within Vivica. Taunts, she hated them, the same thing Arisetael used against her, but still she kept herself calm.

This beast would die here.

[16:05:45] Seconds passed with pressure and tension building up before the battle began. Winds formed into several whirlwinds around Vivica's form that pulled in lightning , water, and fire from her aura.

Deadly winds with the amalgamation of Vivica's magic proved to show her increased experience with magic.

Silver eyes of the girl looked to Satoshi with a void gaze, then to the yokai who called forth his kin, thralled, to fight alongside of him.

Her drew closer, brandishing the large blade held as his kin ran forth to attack. Vivica was quick to pull her blade from its sheath, but still she feared killing. Yokai provoked and attacked, this wasn't a wise idea, but this was going to be her training.

If she couldn't bring down this yokai, she would have to push herself past her limits, so now.. with Satoshi fighting at her side, she'd keep herself focused on the kaor, but at the same time she hoped he'd be alright.

Therefore with thoughts clearing and eyes setting sights for the yokai, Vivica dashed forward with her scythe enveloped with lightning magic to shock the kaor's kin - with that action it appeared the kaor was looking at her for attacking. An Umbral it had been like Cucco, preparing for an attack.

[16:22:49] Satoshi eyed Vivica in the exact moment she gave him a void gaze, and he took a deep breath before releasing it slowly. She had begun to call upon the elements to assist her, and he knew the seriousness of this situation. His goal was to keep Vivica safe, and at all costs... Even if it resulted in the loss of his life!

So he allowed his aura to explode around him with even more intensity as he burst forward towards the Kaor, deciding that he'd try to take the full force of the beings blows in order for Vivica to bombard it with her magic. However, the Kaor seemed to have different ideas, and summoned some of its own kin.

Fortunately, Vivica stunned them with her lightning magic, but he felt a sharp pain in his back as he got slashed by a Giga Yokai.

"...Fucker!" he shouted, spinning and impaling it directly between its eyes. He shouted and exploded with lightning, obliterating the yokai's head before turning swiftly, flying forward to continue engaging the summoned Yokai in battle.

Hopefully, Vivica didn't try to solo the Kaor...

[16:32:12] By now the yokai's summoned kin had met their fates. It brought a sickening feeling to her stomach to kill the yokai, but these were creatures that could not be redeemed.

Darkness. It was like a code in their DNA. To cause and inflict pain, wreck havoc, manipulate, thrall, and plenty of more. These were Kraus' failed creations.

Vivica turned the moment she heard Satoshi scream out, blood exiting a wound in his back. She had cringed at the sight, turning her attention towards the kaor before her as she enveloped winds around her body to lift her.

What a sight, a child discovering the ability to ride in the midst of a tornado, one infued with the elements she had grown to be skillful with.

Even in her mind she knew this wasn't a wise choice to run into a kaor like this head on, but it had already harmed her ally. Her closest friend with its thralled kin.

"AHH!" She screamed out and her scythe went forward. Lightning and wind magic aided in increasing the little girl's movement speed to close the distance between them, but what she hadn't noticed was the readied blast of occult that, in a flash, sent her flying back against the ground, skidding over the grass of the marshes.

It was a great struggle to stand. Her body felt heavy, but she didn't want to give up, therefore whatever Satoshi had been doing currently, she'd join back in the battle with him.

[16:55:15] Satoshi realized that the Yokai's summoned kin had been annihilated, even as he was hacking and stabbing through them. He launched a pulsating sphere of electricity behind himself, allowing it to stick to the ground and explode in front of a few unsuspecting lessers. They were disintegrated immediately, each with loud screeches.

He was loving every second of this, killing Yokai left and right. Once the Kaor was the only one left, he turned at Vivica's shout before his eyes widened as she was sent flying across the grass by a blast of occultic magic.

Enraged, he burst forward and assisted her in standing, looking extremely worried for the girl and hugging her close.

"Don't do anything rash, alright?" he begged. "We'll attack it together... Be careful, and just blast it while I cut away at it!"

With that, he pat her shoulder and avoided an incoming beam of occultic energy that ripped away at the ground to his right, and flew directly at the Kaor, his spear aimed for its eyes. He gouged one of its eyes before getting slammed into the ground.

Yet he didn't give in... He continued to hack away at it as much as he could before realizing that its attention wasn't on him... But on Vivica!

[17:09:45] She felt a burning pain all around her body. Cuts marked her skin and caused blood to flow freely though damage wasn't too heavy. Staoshi helped her come to a stand, brought her into an embrace before letting go to attack.

It was as if his words were a blur while she was a bit dazed from the rough landing.

"Ya." That was her only reply. Silver eyes watched the boy being slammed into the ground, but with a calm disposition, her hands raised, summoning whirlwinds again around her very form. A cloud formed with steam around her very body to hide her away the moment she misted to draw near the yokai.

She was already damaged, tired, and in pain, but she was to bring down the yokai. It was her fate. A yokai hunter. Perhaps an Outlaw too if Ciel were to accept her. Vivica was destined to fight until her last breaths.

Rain from the skies above fell harder and heavier. Lightning cracked through the clouds as thunder roared, striking down at the yokai like she thought it to do. A beam of water ripped through the yokai, causing blood to fall from its being and she went in again to strike...

Panting, lots of it, had emerged from her very being. She was putting her all into this and striking the yokai hard, but through her winds being cut did she found a blade stick through her body.

Magics dispelled from around her to reveal the little girl hanging on the blade. Blood dripped from her body and on the ground. Her hands placed weakly at the top of the blade and she screamed bloody murder before thrown from the blade and against the ground.

The child struggled to breath and the kaor neared her downed body again. Her hands placed over the large wound within her stomach area, seeing the blood on her hands and tears trickle down over her cheeks. Again she mist formed, but was unable to get herself to move-

And she fell to the ground again.

What a terrible sight it must have been for Satoshi to see. Despite that

[17:35:21] Satoshi was slammed down yet again by the Kaor Yokai, watching in absolute amazement as Vivica pierced the being's hide, penetrating through it and causing blood to flow freely from its being. He slowly made his way to his feet, panting as he rushed forward and stopped, his eyes widening in absolute horror. Vivica couldn't even move anymore, and the reason for this being?

A blade was forced through her stomach, her blood bursting from her form and flowing from the opened wound. He watched in horror as her ear piercing scream echoed through the marshes, and tears began to flow down the sides of his cheeks as he fell to his knees. Why couldn't he move?

What... Was this?

Vivica's body was thrown from the blade to the ground, leaving the girl struggling for air as the Kaor slowly walked towards her. He tried to move, but he seemed to be in too much shock. Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion as his heart thudded faintly.

His aura vanished, and he just stared endlessly, closing his eyes and trying to force back his tears. Of course Vivica was alright... No... She was strong, wasn't she?!

Satoshi felt a warm and fuzzy feeling overcome him, before seeing that woman's smile again. This time, more facial features were revealed. Red eyes, just like his own, and long, silky blue hair. Around her form was an aura, much like his own. It seemed to be pouring into him, willing him to continue to fight. Not just for himself, but to save his friend.

His eyes opened once more, this time his ruby eyes were glaring fiercly at the Kaor who loomed over Vivica once more.

"No... The fuck... You don't!!"

Satoshi's aura practically exploded this time, shattering all of the terrain within ten feet of himself, and bringing forth a crater. Fear was replaced by absolute rage and hatred, and he felt his strength growing by the moment. He had surpassed his limits yet again, practically surging with power at this point. The training that Yui put him through led up to this increase in strength.

...Yet it came in the form of a blinding rage and fury, instead of being fully controlled. But this was enough...

Satoshi had burst forward, slashing the Kaor across its chest. The gash left behind was a lot deeper than before, even forcing the creature to be pushed back! The boy released a scream that radiated pure, unadulterated rage. Nearby Yokai were curious, but kept their distance once seeing his display of strength.

His movements became blinding, slashes and gashes appearing all over the Kaor until it was forced to its knees by the blue streak that continuously flew around its form.

With one final shout, Satoshi tore through its neck, beheading the behemoth and panting, glaring angrily at the ground. He was covered in blood. Some of it his own, some of it Vivica's... But the majority of it? The very creatures that he grew to hate.. Their blood coated his form, and he simply stood there for a while, not allowing his adrenaline to wear off for even a second.

Quickly, the boy turned and grabbed Vivica, placing his spear on his back and tying the Kaor's head to his cloak. He hefted the girl up and began to keep her wound pressurized with his cloak and his hands as he burst off towards Cinderfall as fast as he possibly could, even dropping the head next to a building and taking the girl into the infirmary!

All he needed to do was keep her safe, and know that she'd be fine... Damnit, he shouldn't have done this! He regretted everything, and now it was up to fate to determine what would happen to this girl.

[18:07:47] Rain continued to pour from the skies. Clouds rolled in overhead as they were lit by lightning while thunder boomed seconds around. Vivica's magic had dispelled while she lay on the ground severely wounded with a large, open blade cut in her stomach.

How lovely.. low rolls are the best rolls.

Breathing felt heavier with each passing second. The little girl's heart rate dropped too with each passing moment and her life began to flash before her eyes. It was as if she were seeing the nightmares again that were once inflicted on her during the altercation with Arisetael.

Her vision began to darken and the child's eyes closed. Her body fell limp in Satoshi's arms as he made his way back to Cinderfall with the head of the kaor at his back.

The wind that once whistled in her ears from the air due to his swift pacing was no longer heard as Vivica slipped away from life. Another difficult pain to face. The stab wound had been much bigger than cuts Arisetael caused her before.

And thus Satoshi had endered Cinderfall with the little girl, rushing her limp form to the infirmary. It was likely citizens caught a glimspe of Vivica and Satoshi with blood dripping from his cloak and along the grass as well as the flooring of the infirmary.

Her chest no longer had shown she was breathing. The little girl's heart rate was nearly gone and with nurses taking her from Satoshi, she wasn't responsive to anything. If she were likely to live this she'd remain in a comatose for some time. Another, much longer, recovery was ahead after this most likely fateful encounter.
