  1. Jump Canceling and Pillaring and after that, movement.
  2. Jump Canceling is easily the most important; if you're stuck in shine as Falco you'll never catch up to a punish unless they don't DI.
  3. Pillaring is the first step to Falco's incredible punish game. Just stick with the simple d-air to shine to d-air to etc.
  4. Your play needs to have a solid backbone to have a decent Falco. Otherwise, you become a Falco who just spams random tech and lasers.
  5. If you cant move around with Falco you're just gonna die every time. He's just a slow ass bird who cant fly like a Fox.
  6. Recovery is also up there with those three. The moment you get hit you need to know what your options are to immediately reset to neutral.
  7. Falco is the only character in the game that spawns at death percent. One grab/move will probably get you killed right off the bat.
  8. I wouldn't call him a glass cannon because even if a cannon was made out of glass, it's still a pretty reliable form of artillery.
  9. Falco is closer to a glass bow and arrow
  10. Join your high school's archery club if you want to get good at Super Smash Brothers Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube(GCN) featuring Falco Lombardi from the Starfox series.
  11. To touch up more on options after getting hit, you typically never want to double jump to escape punishes. Though, sometimes you'll have to bite the bullet with Falco and do it. This is generally "safer" on stages with platforms if you know how to waveland, which you'll need to learn to get the most out of Falco anyways. Playing Falco is almost as bad as Falcon with the amount of work he requires out of you. Luckily unlike Falcon, Falco is blessed with being a Fox clone.
  12. You might get frustrated at first with the character because of the fact that he's so easy to kill. It hurts that Jordan plays Marth and Peach because those two characters will kill you in the most annoying ways possible.
  13. If you stick with him it'll be fun but my best tip is to just play Fox instead.
  14. Why settle for second best when you can go for number one?
  15. I don't recommend looking at anyone right now; Falco representation among top players is extremely low.
  16. PPMD's Falco is not only outdated, but the main takeaway from his play is his lasers, which you shouldn't worry about yet.
  17. Mango's Falco is Mango's Falco and Westballz's Falco will teach you nothing at this level of the game
  18. Just look up any resources that lay down the basics or any intermediate strategies and don't bother with lasers yet. If you start doing them at the beginning, you'll develop bad habits.
  19. If you feel like watching any top players, just watch Dr. PP and Westballz.
  20. Mango's Falco is just a variation of his Fox play with a solid, but creative punish game.
  21. Westballz will show you Falco at his highest level which exposes you to a lot of options that Falco can do but there's a lot of options that are sub-optimal to learn from the start.
  22. PPMD has the best lasers, just look at any match of him versus Mew2King to see some textbook PPMD Falco; especially the ones from Apex 2014. PP's neutral game is solid, notably his movement. If you have any questions about how to play Falco's neutral, just look to him.
