  1. Instead Ren led the girls across the hall to the other room, knocking on the door and waiting for some kind of response. To his relief it was Professor Arc who answered, the man's face lighting a little as he saw them.

  7. "I'm at the inn now," Jaune held the scroll to his ear as he navigated through the patrons.

  11. There was something incredibly wrong about a scene wherein an armed and dangerous professor of Beacon needed to be escorted from his room by a girl barely five feet tall, wielding an umbrella.

  15. "In the name of the mayor you are wanted on suspicion of murder," the lead guard declared – sights firmly set on Jaune's chest.

  17. "We haven't killed anyone," he kept his hands firmly visible. Someone in the crowd coughed. Jaune sighed. "Neo… please put that woman down."

  19. The girl looked up at him, from her position knelt beside him, one arm wrapped around an old lady's neck, the other pushing her head down. The biddy thrashed and spat angrily. Neo raised both brows, looked down at the woman then back up at him – before she pointed at herself.

  21. "Yes I'm talking to you…" she pointed to the woman, even as the guards shifted in obvious agitation. "Yes I mean that woman!" He snapped.

  23. Neo pouted but put her down. That was to say she rose, spun and put the woman down into the dirt path face first. She didn't get up, even as Neo patted her hands and saluted.

  27. "Sir, if you'll drop your weapons and come with us I'm sure this can be sorted out." The middle guard didn't take his gun off of them.

  31. "I've got somewhere to be," he tried to sound as confident as Roman might, but it came out a little hysterical. "Maybe next time though, eh? Neo… do your thing."

  33. Her teeth flashed as she turned to grab his sleeve, dragging him down. Fingers squeezed on the triggers, as gunshots roared.

  35. But all that was heard was the sound of shattering glass.
