  1. I wake up suddenly from a lovely peaceful sleep, a bright blinding light projects itself over my table, slowly moving towards my bed. I panic and close my eyes, wishing that it was a dream. I suddenly feel my surroundings change. The air has a stench about it that doesn’t feel right, I hear something scream. Reluctantly I open my eyes, only to realise that I wasn’t in the comfort of my own home. I close my eyes again, wishing, hoping that this is only a dream. The stench in the air doesn’t go away, the screams of others doesn’t go away. I open my eyes again, trying to think where I am. A boy walks towards my bed, he too is in his pyjamas. He asks “What is going on, where are we, I was just in my bed a moment ago… this must be a dream.”
  2. I reply back, “I don’t think that this is a dream, I was wishing the same thing. I’m Jessica, what’s your name?”
  3. He replied “Marc is my name, nice to meet you Jessica.”
  4. I climb out of bed to shake his hand. As we look around, we see thousands of people, all panicked and asking what was going on. Marc said “Look up, what is that green thing?”
  5. I replied “I don’t know, could it be some sort of containment to keep us in here?”
  6. “I don’t like the look of all of these people, lets try and make a break for it so that we have a chance for survival.” Marc agreed, so we decided to try and get to the edge of the containment.
  7.
  8. As we got further away, the voices of all of the panicked people became softer and softer, until all we could hear was a gentle hum. The environment around us was becoming harsher and harsher, rocks looked more vicious than ever. In order to get to the side of the containment field, we needed to navigate through a abundance of rocks. The further we progressed into the rocks, the larger the obstacles became. We finally got to an opening. Marc decided to take a break. I decided to take one to, my legs felt like jelly because we had been walking for an hour nonstop. After about 5 minutes of just sitting catching our breath, until we heard a ghastly roar in the not to far distance. We looked at each other in fear. That was enough to motivate us to keep walking to the edge of the green containment field.

  10. As we walk across the flats the same ungodly screech was heard. This time it was much closer, I said to myself that it must be tracking us. In a matter of seconds a black object was bounding towards us at accelerated pace. Marc screamed “RUN!” Marc started to run as fast as he could, the object was getting closer and closer each time I looked behind my shoulder. My pace started to slow, I reach out for marc’s hand, he shakes my hand off his. I screamed out “NO! Don’t do this!” He just keeps running. I fall over. The creature screeches the sound again, I back up against a rock and marc is nowhere to be seen. I see the creature, the monster stand right in front of me. It had dark green eyes, saliva dripping from its mouth. It had long silver claws painted in red blood. Its whole body was black. It comes in for the strike, I try to dodge but its claw hits my arm, creating a deep gash. In comes in for another swing only to stop mid-way through. I see something standing behind it, as I look closer it is marc. He used a large rock attach to a piece of wood to hit it. He continues to hit it with the rock, it falls to the floor. I hold my arm in pain as blood drips onto the ground. After about 10 seconds the beast was on the ground, killed by Marc. He rushes over to me and asks if I’m ok, I say “I could be worse”

  12. We continued to the green containment field. When we arrived there was another bright flash of light, I squeeze Marc’s hand tight and I said “Don’t let go,” I close my eyes and hope for the best. I open my eyes and I’m back in my bed. I look at my arm, only to see a scar. I looked around the room hoping to see marc, but he is nowhere to be seen. To this day, I am still looking for marc in the hope that I may see my savour again.
